Hotel Croydon

The next morning we spoke with the manager and she acknowledged they were short staffed and experiencing ac issues building wide. That’s why our 4th floor room overlooking the pool, and all the other rooms on that floor, have large portable ac units permenantly piping out of the open duct taped windows. They offered us a $100 resort fee refund and followed through. Truth be told, there should have never been a resort fee. The pool was not crystal blue. We were not able to sit at the bar the afternoon of our second day because it was reserved for a private party. Later that evening a fire truck arrived after a customer in a party near us had been over served. Does that sound like a four star hotel with a resort fee to you?

Great find in a quieter part of Miami Beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Tavern restaurant connected to the hotel is charming and the food was great. Rainy weather prevented us from using the pool, but it was a really cute space. Definitely recommend!

The staff was very helpful when needed, having a restaurant in the hotel was nice and the location was great for being on the quieter side but still easy access to South Beach and straight out to the beach for a perfect unpopulated spot!

Our experience with exceeded expectations. It was our 1 year anniversary and they had a bottle of wine and a handwritten letter for us upon arrival. The rooms look better than they do online, the way the staff treated us with the upmost respect. We had a fantastic time!

This is a hidden gem. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. The hotel has an old city feel but has been renovated so it is just as nice as any modern hotel. The onsite restaurant is great, especially for dinner. Drinks are expensive but it is Miami Beach so that is expected. It's only a block off the beach and there is a pool with some comfy loungers. Coffee service is only from 6 to 8. Maybe extending it to 10 would be nice. No big deal though.

Location was away from everything except the beach. Last 3 days the housekeeping refused to enter room, no refreshing, threw bath towels at us, no face cloths, refused to remove garbage or soiled towels. One night it rained and the rain poured in through the closed windows, pooling on floor. Called front desk, maintenance gave me a towel for the floor and windows. Wouldn't move us to a non-flooding room. Upon check out was dinged for Peanut M&Ms which we didn't eat....peanut allergy!!! Attempted to email to inform them but it keeps bouncing back. Would never recommend and will never stay there again. Restaurant charged $7.00 for a coffee when you purchase room with breakfast voucher. One waiter was incredibly rude. Front desk staff very nice. Abril at the front desk was really nice and always helpful. The bathroom shower door was wrongly installed and the water leaks all over during/ after showers. Which is a safety risk and annoying. A shame, because the restroom and bathroom are nice.

Large, clean rooms!

I was somewhat disappointed with my stay. The hotel itself was okay, but the description and photos on the booking website did not accurately reflect reality. The breakfast, pool, rooftop area, and even the location were not what I expected based on the information provided. I believe the marketing creates a more appealing image than what guests actually experience.
