Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating its proximity to the beach, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, common complaints include small room sizes, limited breakfast options, and expensive parking.
- Close to the beach
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Small room sizes
- Limited breakfast options
- 5/5
Liked the decor and vibe of the hotel. Room was clean and updated to have modern look, if a little small. One Elevator was broken so had to use the stairs a lot. Not accessible if you can’t handle stairs. No parking is limited to drop off in the street. No breakfast buffet. Great beach access and restaurants close by.
- 3/5
We booked 2 rooms and neither were the type of room that we had booked. No pool view and no bathtub.
- 1/5
This property only had one elevator working you had to lug your luggage up stairs to get to the elevator.. they elevators were tiny and the stair spelled like roach spray..

Location close the beach and Price was great. There was no staff available lot of time. The elevator was very old and took too long.

I was very dissatisfied the room wasn’t clean and they didn’t come clean finally I ask could I at least get clean towels the maids were rude when I asked would the clean and the guy at the front desk was rude as well I won’t be staying there again I didn’t like nothing about the stay
- 3/5
Overall the hotel staff and decor are lovely, but the rooms are very small and the pillows are terrible. Its location is excellent for the beach and there are plenty of food options close by. Especially recommend the pizza from Piola located off of the hotel reception area.

Pleasant stay

I didn’t like that there was no parking available so if you’re driving down and wanna stay on the beach, be prepared to pay for parking daily because most of the hotels don’t have parking for there hotel guest

I was charged for parking, and I didn't even use the parking garage.

There was no drive up check in. Just one street parking spot, The pool was great, room clean, only one night stand, cleaning staff didn't respond to English. Great location to the beach. There was a bag of Towels in the closet for the beach and beach chairs in the lobby to borrow.

The staff was extremely great. Answered every question. Check in was fast. Very great customer service. Minutes walk from beach and scenic routes. Room was smaller than expected but decent for the price and location. I would stay here again.

It’s a cute boutique hotel. There’s a cvs next door which is convenient in case you need something. The restaurant inside is nice. I also recommend breakfast in the morning.

Perfect location, great staff, early check in, room was spacious with welcoming message on the screen which was nice! Julian went above and beyond to make all guests feel welcome! Thank you! -

Only one elevator was working. Thankfully our room was right near it on the 4th floor.
- 5/5
We got there from the airport at 10 and I was so sick and had vomiting for 6 hours. They were able to get us in a room at 12 and I appreciated it so much!!! The hotel was beautiful and perfect location!! Had a pool view room, and was across the street from the ocean. We unfortunately didn’t get to leave the room due to my sudden sickness and had to be at the cruise port the next morning. I would love to go back to Miami just to visit this beautiful hotel and see the area. The decor was unlike any other hotel I’d been to before. So beautiful. The self serve bar area looked adorable and everyone was so nice!!! Hopefully we’ll come back soon to actually be able to enjoy it!!! Only one elevator was working. Thankfully our room was right near it on the 4th floor.

Our room was functional but small. It faced the street and even on a Thursday night it was very loud 'til around midnight.
- 5/5
I had a great two-night stay over the weekend. The location was excellent. As others have mentioned, there’s only one small elevator, so there can be a bit of a wait, but I ended up taking the stairs most of the time. The hotel also has connecting rooms, so you can hear neighbors if they’re loud. I heard mine on the last night.

Property was in a good location for what we wanted.
- 4/5
I think the room was very clean. Overall, I asked for a decent room and being I was by myself I felt a bit uncomfortable that the gentleman stated he put me in a great room, but yet the room he put me in was right in front of the elevator so I could hear a lot of noise and they just felt unsafe initially but being there I felt safe regardless there was no issues. It was very clean housekeeping that here to my door tag which I didn’t wanna be disturbed I was only there a couple of days. I didn’t need any housekeeping. Everything was clean. The sheets were clean the bathroom. I just didn’t like the staff were a bit rude. I felt they could’ve been more polite, more catering, more friendly and I didn’t like the fact that they didn’t have any oat milk and there was no food at the restaurant except for Paola, which is in Italian restaurant and the food there was OK not too bad, but the service sucked and took forever but if we speak overall the area close to the beach, the room was very clean. It was worth it.
- 3/5
The hotel is located in a great and was clean and cute, boutique feeling. Also my room was a king size room that was big considering Miami Beach standards. My two mains concerns were that the night I turned off the AC the wall paper started peeling from the wall behind the bed as the days progressed it got worse and also one of the elevators wasn’t working and at times the one that did work would take long time to be called.
- 5/5
We only stayed one night but hotel was so charming and welcoming . It has a great energy and such a cute vibe . Staff was friendly . The pizza from the restaurant was delicious . And was 5 min walk to beaches and cute cafes . I highly recommend
- 4/5
Room was small, basic, but clean and bed was comfortable. Complimentary waters in the room. Check in was fast. Neat beverage 'wall' in the lobby...
- 5/5
Staff was professional, courtesy amd knowledgeable. Room was clean and spacious. Pool is quaint. Lobby bar is sufficient.
- 3/5
The elevator was broken, the roof was being worked on in the mornings, you’ll never check in before 3pm, stay here if you’re very familiar with valet and don’t mind never having access to your car in Miami.

We were very unsatisfied with our stay at the Continental hotel in Miami Beach. We are checking out a day early today because of all the issues we had staying there. Here’s a copy of my conversation with the hotel supervisor: Martina kids were running up and down the hall and yelling at 6 am Another guy on the 1st floor said a guy punched a woman in the face at 4 am! Do you not have security here?(no they don’t) Well the guy that told me in room 100 is leaving.. he said he tried to call the front desk and 911 but the phone didn't work! He said they don't want to deal with it anymore. We may leave tomorrow because this is just too much. Hi Rudy, I’m not sure what the guest in room 100 shared regarding their experience, as it may not reflect your own stay. That guest was scheduled to depart today. I am currently reviewing what occurred last night, as I just arrived, and we are actively working with maintenance to address the phone issue. Regarding the kids running on your floor, we did have a large family staying there, and they have also checked out today, so it is very likely that the noise was related to that situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know. We are actively working on all reported matters. If you do decide to depart earlier, please make sure to contact Expedia directly so you are not charged. I can assure you that situations like this are not typical for our property and appear to be an isolated inc

The staff was very courteous. However, the HVAC system in the room was either blasting cold air or there was no circulation. The copy was not replenished on the second day.
- 5/5
Everything about my stay here was perfect! Clean rooms, easy access to places and beach! Italian restaurant right there perfection! And the employees were just so welcoming and helpful! Definitely coming back!

Elevator was broken we gad to take our luggage up the stairs and share service elevator which was so tiny with our 3 suitcases. Power washing started at very early morning blasting on Saturday and grinding machine construction work we couldn’t even exit front lobby . Pool we could not use it was so dirty and gross

Room supplies were not furnished

Nice clean hotel!
- 2/5
BUT, I cannot understand what on earth possessed them to do major building work on the rooftop to build a new rooftop bar at this time of year. This work involved shutting the ground floor pool for “health and safety reasons” and using a VERY loud Kango hammer drill. It made relaxing in our room completely impossible. This was scheduled work and had I known I would have cancelled the booking and gone elsewhere. Very disappointing. I spoke with Martina on the front desk and she gave us a couple of free breakfasts, but I would have rather not needed to complain. I wouldn’t stay here again and I cannot recommend it to anyone.
- 3/5
Room was in good condition. There were a few stuffs broken, like bathroom's blind, so there wasn't a proper of privacy. Burnt bulb from one of the lamp and some oulets were also broken, inconvenience to charge phones.
- 3/5
Hotel did not honour complimentary breakfast as per Expedia email confirmation. Room was nice.

Pros: The hotel was clean, the beds were redone and the towels replaced daily. The staff (including the folks who run the breakfast and the evening drinks) are professional. The hotel is safe and the location is great if you are visiting Miami for the beach which is just a block away. The hotel provides beach towels and beach chairs (they do have a mandatory resort fee). In the evening, the breakfast area converts into an Italian restaurant (not run by the hotel) that has great food. Cons: 1. The hotel has only valet parking, which is $45 per day; and there is no good street parking anywhere nearby. I recommend using the public parking garage G6 which is a 15 minute walk from the hotel (it is well lit, and the route felt safe to walk at night), and has overnight parking for $8/day. 2. The bathroom, while clean, has a sliding door that has no lock and it doesn't close fully. 3. (minor and subjective con) The room is less spacious than it looks in the photos.
- 2/5
Room was not very clean. Some rooms were not available until after 5pm despite the check in time was 3pm. The hotel was rated at 4 stars, but the room’s cleanness, the staff, and the amenities made the hotel likely a two star hotel.
- 5/5
Staff friendly, cool art, close to beach
- 4/5
Nice hotel but parking is mandatory at $45 per night
- 3/5
Room was ok did not feel as though it was cleaned even e/o day sandy floor, accommodations were just ok. Not really impressed with the space or lack of amenities.
- 4/5
Good
- 2/5
The room was too small for three people, even though we paid for a triple room. It was not cozy, so we just went in there to sleep. The hotel staff did the bare minimum to make the hotel work. They weren't rude, but not friendly either. The elevator was broken and so were all the treadmills, so amenities there don't mean much. Nothing in this hotel feels like a Hilton hotel, other than the name on the reservation. For the price, I recommend going somewhere else. (Although I need to give credit to the hotel waitress/bartender who was the only one who went above and beyond to make sure we had a good happy hour experience. I forgot her name but she deserves recognition).

Cute budget property. One of the cheapest options in the area. Retro vibe and great staff. Would def stay again

Sll good here. No room for parking anywhere unless you got 100
- 3/5
Locating parking entrance was horrible, had to turn around 3x to get to destination. And the hotel charges destination fee 35 dollars plus taxes city and state. Amazingly not disclosed.

You get 15 dollars a day to use to the restore fees. If you don’t use it per day you loss it. We came to the hotel at 9:30. We could not use our 15 dollars because everything was closed including the bar. They will not allow you to apply it the next day even though you could not spend it. If you do spend it on one 10 dollar drink they charge a service charge of at least 4 dollars not covered by the 15 dollars and request a tip on top of that. The drinks are poured from a machine not even hand made.
- 1/5
Breakfast was not included as the listing pertains, the rooms had broken furniture. The ocean view wasn’t facing the ocean. Just unacceptable.
- 5/5
I loved the hotel. It was eam, quiet and located right near the beach!
- 5/5
Very nice clean property in a great location.
- 4/5
It looks nice and clean

Another great option in Mid Beach!
- 5/5
Overall excellent services and very convenient location. The vale parking a little expensive.
- 3/5
It was clean but access limited.
- 5/5
Perfect weekend getaway!!!
- 5/5
Perfect proximity to the beach. Clean, nice staff, great area.
- 2/5
Very small and uncomfortable rooms, not big enough for two. Poor breakfast options.
- 5/5
Good spot
- 1/5
Too small no amenities
- 4/5
Good location in mid-beach, clean hotel and good facilities…
- 3/5
The new resort fee of $39 per day and the elimination of complimentary breakfast is something I didn't expect. Not the typical Hilton experience.
- 5/5
Close to everything. Can walk everywhere. Has Valet parking
- 3/5
Great location! Front desk service was so slow. Actually all service was pretty bad. There is no where for you to sit if you get any food that is from outside the property. Even as a guest they don’t allow you to sit by the pool with your food. The only place to east is in your bed. My daughter dropped her glass baby bottle and I asked the maids to clean it up which they did so in a timely manner but they swept the glass onto the carpet in the hallway and never cleaned it up. I was given 2 broken pack n plays and was told they would probably just have to refund my stay as there is no one who can get a functioning one for me even though I requested it 5 days in advanced. Eventually that found one but it was stressful and I felt that the customer service to adjust to the mistake was extremely poor. Definitely understaffed there! Thank goodness for the wonderful location otherwise I would give this place a very poor review. I will not be staying here again.

The Continental Hotel is a lovely boutique hotel just a block away from the beach. The stay includes in its price an A La Carte breakfast with smoothie bowls, shakshuka, avocado toasts, and other delicious foods. I enjoyed borrowing the complimentary bicycles for a ride along the beach and took advantage of the beach chairs and towels for time by the water. Rides via Lyft and Uber to South Beach were under $7 and always available. The staff was kind and welcoming. For this trip, i travelled solo so that I could participate in a race. The. neighborhood felt safe and was quiet in the evenings, aside from the patio restaurants where visitors enjoyed their meals. The only complaint I have is the usb port on the side table did not work. I was able to buy a plug at the CVS downstairs.
- 4/5
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Staff were professional and polite. The pool area could use more maintenance.
- 4/5
The property was absolutely great and well finished. Continental breakfast in the morning was hot and fresh and the pizza restaurant was fresh and tasted great. Franco at the front desk was so helpful and incredibly friendly.
- 5/5
Everything was very convenient, cvs right next door open 24/7, valet parking 24/7, front desk 24/7, one block from the beach and restaurant right downstairs, continental breakfast with a good selection of food
- 5/5
Changes - the maids/cleaners should have a place for supplies it was all in the hallways. Also small - but a towel hook for hand towels would be helpful Highly recommend staying here
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Very nice stay. It’s clean and safe. The staff is very friendly and helpful, a special thanks to Julian at the lobby. I recommend
- 5/5
Great stay.
- 5/5
Great hotel with lots nearby
- 5/5
Honestly, this hotel is a gem! out of the many hotels in the surrounding area, this one is 'bang for your buck' ... their breakfast in the morning was fulfilling with an abundance of choices. The pizza restaurant in the lobby is amazing! this hotel is very clean and right by the beach, less than 5 min walk across the street. We would highly recommend this hotel, the only downside that i see is if you rented a vehicle, parking would be a nightmare,,but i think that is mainly in miami beach area because of limited space, not the hotel's fault
- 2/5
Lack of communication between staff and 'ready to check in' rooms. Our first room wasn't cleaned at all. The second room the floor wasn't swept. Rcvd Minor $$ amount for the inconvenience.
- 3/5
Rooms are relatively small and not well maintained.
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff! I love the fact that they rent you out chairs for the beach, provide you with towels for the beach and also you can rent a bicycle through them to get around. They provide refreshments poolside all day!
- 5/5
Nice quaint hotel
- 4/5
Very hospitable team, I had a great time. There’s complimentary breakfast and the beach is less than a block away. The free trolley to get to shops and other restaurants is close by. Great hotel option if you want to be by the beach and a more calm/chill atmosphere compared to south beach.
- 5/5
It was cool no complaints
- 5/5
I had a great stay at the Hotel Continental. The gentleman checking me in was very kind and helpful. He offered us free use of beach chairs, beach bag, water and bikes! The hotel was impeccably clean. All of the staff were attentive and friendly. Our room was clean and well appointed. The beach is just a short walk away as is the beach walk. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
Breakfast, beach chairs, towels, bikes, and sunscreen available for a daily fee $35. CVS and a restaurant on site which was a great addition. Franco from the front desk was the most helpful and made out stay pleasant. The only downside is - we booked a ocean view option from hotels.com - there is no ocean view and we paid extra for nothing! Plan to go back - no “ocean view” booking next time.
- 2/5
No towels at the pool. Hilton (not the property but the main reservation line) flat out lied about early check in. Coffee spills on the floor in the room.
- 5/5
Amazing. Quiet...heard bothing from other guests. Older remodelled building so solidly built. Quiet atretch of MB. Gives beach chairs, towel, mat and sunscreen in carry bag. Unlomted bottles of water. Great breakfast turns into italian place for lunch and dinner. We ordered pizza every day and ate on beach...pizza delicious and under $20. In tourism industry so tough customer. Already planning our return trip!
- 4/5
We had an issue and the staff took care of it in a timely manner. Thank you.
- 5/5
Room clean
- 5/5
loved location
- 4/5
Everything was good, particularly location. Only complaint is that the room smelt as if it had been a smoking room in the not too distant past, not awful but off putting.
- 5/5
Great service
- 4/5
Great location in Miami. Close to the beach. They provide chairs and towels if you’d like to sign them out for the day. The room was quiet. Restaurants are walkable. The hotel was recently updated and was clean. Rooms were very small. The air needed to be turned down very low to cool but it worked. It was a bit noisy but I like the him at night. The pizza restaurant gets very busy and has good pizza. The free breakfast was good as far as continental breakfasts go. All in all a good option for the area.
- 4/5
Location was good and generally happy with the value offered at this hotel
- 5/5
Great location, updated and comfortable rooms, great restaurant on property and the use of beach chairs, all for a reasonable price
- 5/5
Great hotel with very freindly staff. Location is perfect.
- 3/5
Valet parking was horrible. When we called got the car at 9 am , the desk said 15 mins. It was over an hour and we had to walk to the garage location to retrieve it (4 ppl with our luggage) in order to be on time for our cruise departure.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed and great location

The room was clean and the staff was very helpful
- 4/5

Excellent… will definitely return
- 2/5
Our cabin on the cruise ship was bigger than this room. Only place we have seen smaller rooms was Europe. For the price it was very disappointing.
- 3/5
Hotel is run down. Needs attention. Maid service is sporadic.
- 4/5
Lovely room with view over the pool, staff were very friendly. Breakfast in restaurant wasn’t the best but other than that had nothing else that I would mention
- 5/5
Central location, modern and newly renovated
- 4/5
All new remodel but the bathroom sink and shower had drain problem. Reported couple times had no respond but finally just fixed the sink issue.
- 4/5
This hotel underwent recent renovations. The rooms are clean and updated. The room we stayed in could have used another nightstand and or chair as a king sized bedroom may have 2 people who want to put their things down while laying in bed. The room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. There's a 24 hour CVS in the lobby which was super great when we needed a snack or sunscreen. Very short walk to the beach and path that runs along the whole beach. The only drawback was the breakfast was lacking, but the coffe was outstanding. There are several good, easy restaurants right around there that made quick eating very easy.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful, hotel is clean just a small space.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice, with comfy beds, clean rooms, and a great location. It had a CVS attached to the lobby, a wonderful Italian restaurant, and onsite parking available. Overall, a great value. We had one issue on our visit, and the hotel manager resolved it quickly and professionally. We would definitely return again in the future.
- 5/5
Was nice place to stay at midbeach
- 4/5
Unable to locate the property and very congested rooms and dining place.
- 4/5
No varieties in breakfast buffet same thing every day and all meat is pork. Rooms smell mold and small rooms.no enough hangers in bathroom. Location was good one block from the beach. Quiet area. Transportation available all the time near the hotel.
- 4/5
Only problem is the TV Cuts
- 4/5
I was confused with the name of the hotel. I booked under Hampton Inn, expecting the great service and amenities. The Hotel continental was nice, but lacked the familiar amenities I am accustomed to receiving with Hampton Inn.

- 5/5
Nice area
- 5/5
Nice hotel, rooms we're a bit smaller than expected, but very friendly staff and very clean. A little far out of the Ocean Drive spot to walk, and there was some construction going on in the hotel, but other than that it was very nice.
- 3/5
It was disappointing that my room was directly above the reception area that was under construction. Constant banging and drilling could be heard all during the day even though it was a weekend. I also asked the front desk for a hair dryer & also via text and they said one would be sent to my room but it never was. The room was very clean which was the only good factor.

Everything good

Quality property, beautiful views of ocean from room
- 4/5
Everything was great, it was under construction at the time
- 3/5
Very noisy under construction in the lobby! Small cozy place it is much different than The their ad pictures. So disappointed about the Hampton inn. I just trusted Hampton inn’s image. The room is clean but the bathroom glass Door is not fitting. Water is lleaking the floor.
- 5/5
Was very enjoyable
