I loved it! Excellent location in the medina, the hostel is situated within walking distance to many landmarks. Hamza was a very hospitable and warm host, along with the staff who constantly looked out for me and attended to my every need. The riad is absolutely beautiful and the view from the terrace is wonderful.

I booked at Jenna but didn’t have the chance to stay there because they were overbooked. Past midnight, coming back from a 18 hours bus ride, being told that we will be switched hostel because its overbooked.. did not appreciate. I wanted to stay there but then we had to walk further into the medina (wich i wanted to avoid for that night) and went to a hostel that i havent choose because of the reviews.

Hosts were super friendly! Place was really clean, and everyone was super nice!

I like the colourful tiles and the staff attitude. I didn't like the fact that a tiny room had six beds. I mean you could barely move. The mattress was so old metal springs were dangerously out. Also, the electricity sockets were not working so I couldn't charge my phone.

    The space

The best city-centre rooftop view. Better than what you'd get at most hotels at 5x the price...

  • Engine customer Dec 2025

The rooms are humid and smelly, I guess no ventilation and recent cold weather makes it…

Honestly, not a lot .. it was beautiful from the ground floor looking up . We slept in the only tent on the roof, we both thought we had booked a tent each , the booking was misleading. The tent in December is not highly recommended, the sides didn't even meet , zero security, however I stayed one night only and it was ok ... The ' beds' were very hard ... But with 2 doubled over blankets each it was kinda doable...but the pillows were like sand bags and it was pretty noisy, from the city below. Every little noise carries so we learnt. As the housekeeper came to tell us to stop talking... And we were only talking quietly... The toilet was 4 or 5 flights down with no working lights... You have to be very able bodied! The single ground floor toilet was basic ... And in the reception area ? The lockers were 2 floors down ? The shower was 2 floors down , a single cubicle with a door, leading directly onto the landing, nowhere private to get dressed, so didn't bother... Also it was located in a warren of tiny alleyways , no vehicular access, can get ran into by a motor bike at any second... The tent sleeps 3/4 ... So you could unknowingly be in with strangers, when you're led to believe you've booked a private tent. Very overpriced really.

Washrooms could have been more uplifted and hanging of clothes to be addressed

I had an amazing experience at Riad Jennah Rouge. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Marrakech and within walking distance of all the main attractions, including the Medina, souks, and Jemaa el-Fnaa. The riad itself is very clean and well-maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. The breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, with great variety. One of my favourite parts of the riad was the beautiful rooftop terrace, which is a lovely place to relax after exploring the city. Overall, a fantastic stay. I highly recommend Riad Jennah Rouge to anyone visiting Marrakech! The way to the Riad is like a maze, but it's safe and fine.

Rooms could be cleaner. Rooms were dark not enough lighting Water faucets need repair and bidet to be added

I was about to reach one hour after midnight. The person on duty was very courteous and helped me check in quickly. I think you should spend a little extra and go for the room/ bed option instead of shared dorm/ bunk bed. It's located inside the narrow alley and you have to walk on foot for 200 meters after the main road. Breakfast was the highlight for me. Variety and portions were generous. I was given upper portion of the bunk bed whereas the lower portion was empty. There was no soap in the washroom

Very warm welcome, friendly staff, good location just at the edge of the medina Nothing

Location. For easy pick up and drop for a tour. Beds. Rooftop. WiFi. Dorm beds were fine as was the private room. Ac was good when you could find the remote. Unfortunately was very quiet possibly due to when I had bookings. Shower temperature was unreliable as was sinks. I had read reviews about the staff asking for giving glowing reviews and had that happen on two occasions. They were eager for them but never a fan of it being asked. A place with really good reviews should either never have to ask or always be full. They didn’t seem to understand if payment was made or what site it was booked on. For the private room I had to ask for the key and lock. The hostel is tucked in a corner through a dark alleyway with some odd individuals lurking around. If I were a solo female traveler it could potentially cause unease but not sure they would be bothered.

Guys, book this place ! Believe me, You would love it ! The light is a bit dark. It’s better change the bulb in the room .

Awesome location, great breakfast, friendly atmosphere, beautiful inside.

  • Engine customer May 2025

Everything’s were good , but not like it use to be when Badr was working there, the night shift guy was very nice and respectful with a good sense of humor The rooftop is to small, because they built a tent on the roof and using it as a dormitory with 4/5 beds

Location, breakfast, price 3rd visit, only told this time about the towels! Staff forgot my breakfast 1 morning after I'd spoken to them night before, not very sympathetic when I was in agony with nerve impingement in my spine for 1 day!

The position is perfect, in the Medina (10 min to the main square) but in a side street so that is pretty quiet. The structure is small but very well decorated in the classical moroccan style. The staff is great: kind and helpful guys and very funny I stayed in the tent on the roof and was a good experience, the roof terrace is small but great, was amazing having breakfast there and the breakfast itself was good (in quality and quantity). Cleanliness was not the top but ok and the bathrooms where pretty good but just inside the rooms at second floor and this was a little uncomfortable. Price is really cheap and I think that is very good value for money: if you don't mind to have some little discomfort this is a very great place, definitely recommended! Cleanliness could be improved and bathrooms too
