    Access to the room was easy and communication with the staff was simple and they were great. Location was also great and the room was clean and comfortable. I did not like that the bathroom was not attached to the room. It was dedicated to our room, but technically the entire building had access to it, so we didn’t feel comfortable leaving any stuff in there, so it was a pain to carry stuff back and forth. Maybe have the door have a key lock and provide the key inside the room so you can lock it while not in use.

    Amazing location, and a lovely little room with plenty of light and air. Didn’t realize that I could be in a fifth floor walk up with very narrow stairs. Normally not a big deal but traveling with an infant which made it difficult. The staff was very eager to help, and allowed us to store the stroller in the basement, but still would have been much better on a lower floor.

    There were a few issues that could be improved. We didn’t receive the door code until about an hour after check-in time, which was a bit stressful after arriving. Unfortunately, there was also no hot water during our stay. The room was quite noisy at times, especially with the sound of the door locks, which occasionally woke me up at night. The room isn’t serviced during the stay, and some of the amenities could use attention — the ironing board was stained and the iron wasn’t really usable.

    Location When we arrived, we found bed bugs and eggs on all 3 beds in the room. This place does not even have a check in or staff members to help. The host just messages you with a code to get in. We quickly called the host, Suresh, who said he would send the housekeeper in 5 minutes. The “housekeeper” arrived 20 minutes later and didn’t even have cleaning supplies. She tried to dismiss us and didn’t believe us about the bedbugs and eggs. We showed her exactly where they were and showed her pictures that we had taken. She contacted the host whose solution to the problem was to move us into another room for the night while the housekeeper “cleaned” the original room and then move us back into the room the next day. However, you can’t just “clean” bed bugs. A professional exterminator has to get involved to be able to exterminate the bugs as they are difficult to get rid of and they quickly infest. We told the host we were not going to be staying here any longer and I asked if even a partial refund was possible since the bed bugs were an inconvenience on their end not ours. Suresh promised me a full refund. I tried to cancel the booking but it was requiring a cancellation fee. I reached out to Suresh who said he had already taken care of cancelling the booking on his end and getting the refund in process. A couple days go by and I don’t receive anything so I reach out to Suresh again. I got no reply. A few days later I reach out and again no reply. I call Suresh and he answers and says that he has sent my booking cancellation to the reservation team so that I could get my refund and that I would be hearing from them soon. 2 weeks have gone by and I have not received a refund or any kind of update regarding it. This is so unprofessional. I am very disappointed in the way that this situation was handled. To not even get an update and just get ignored is extremely unprofessional.

    Loved the convenient location - close to the underground, pubs, theatre, Tesco, cafes etc. Ample bedroom space for a family of four. Very safe location. Not accessible for those with mobility issues (narrow staircase on a top floor). We managed alright but guests should be aware of this limitation.

    Prior to our stay we explicitly asked and were told that the bathroom for our room was located inside the room. It was not. You had to walk out into the hallway to get to the bathroom. Yes it was “private” to our room in that we were supposedly the only room using it, but it was not inside the room like we were told.

    Don’t stay here. Super uncomfortable. We didn’t get any sleep from the constant street noise. Awake every couple of hours all night long. And no one has responded to my discomfort either is the app or on WhatsApp. We first showed up and they didn’t tell us we had a bathroom down the hall of the room where you’d walk thru the building foyer entrance to get back to your room after shower. Then we moved to the attic room up a thousand tiny steps. No one is on property to help you with luggage or room changes. No one was there to let us in or out. We never saw a human. The windows are super thin and even on the top floor you could hear every noise from outside as if you’re standing on the street. There is water damage in the bathroom ceiling so probably mold present. The bed was super uncomfortable all and the linens were low quality and scratchy.

    The room was larger than expected, plenty of room for 4 guests. There were more than enough towels and although the bathroom was separate, it was just across the landing (3 steps away) and also a good size. The location was fantastic, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Access was simple and easy to use, nice not to stress about loosing keys. Contact from owner about entry wasn't until an hour before check in, would have been nicer in the morning as I always get anxious if there is no reception. Our bedroom had no bedside lamps, would of been nice as we had a child who likes to sleep with a light on, we ended up leaving a blind up.

    This is a great location at a very reasonable price (for the location). Period. The room was very clean, but very basic and dated. However, the bathroom was modern and functional, though small. Just a good price in a great location, but you wouldn't want to spend a lot of time in this room. Connecting with staff to ask questions before and during the trip was difficult. There is no front desk, this is just a building with rooms that are booked, so checking in was somewhat unsmooth, but nothing went wrong -- it was just amateurish, which isn't bad but also not good.

    The location is excellent. It was a last minute booking and just down the street from where we usually stay. Unfortunately, it was full. Very misleading description of the room! Our bathroom was NOT in our room, it was down the hall. Described as “Private bathroom.” To us supposedly I guess, but no way to lock it from the outside so we don’t know if anyone used it when we weren’t there. We couldn’t even leave any personal items in the bathroom. Each time we used the bathroom we had to carry our toiletries with us. (Like in college) Tried contacting management via phone, Booking.com, and WhatsApp, but I couldn’t get through and never received a response even though I also left a voicemail. Since we were only staying 2 nights, we decided to just live with it. Definitely less than a desirable situation. And since it was prepaid, I didn’t have confidence I would be reimbursed. Very disappointing!!

    We stayed here before in a different apartment/room. This one was much larger than the other unit. The towel dryer/heater does not work. You have to have your own account for Netflix or other streaming services to work. Nothing is provided by the property owner. There are no bars of soap or other kinds of soap for handwashing at the sink. This is a very weird set up as there’s no reception area. If you are given a pin in advance, it doesn’t work before 3 o’clock.

    Very central place, top floor with many stairs but an exceptional balcony where I enjoyed a morning cup of tea. There is no staff there, you get a code and go alone. The front door keypad was a bit unreliable and confusing, but we managed to get in after many frustrating attempts. Unfortunately there was a mixup when sending us the code and they indicated the wrong room, rather upsetting to fear of a double booking. Is was solved via the booking.com messages. The room was extra hot and there were no toiletries, the room was fine and comfortable, with kettle and teabags, etc, but no toiletries. We stayed for a single night and no toiletries were provided, even if they replied they would pass there to leave some. In the evening I discovered why the room was so hot, it has a portable AC on, but the outlet pipe was not properly connected, so all the pumped heat was getting back in the room, I managed to fix that but we had already endured the hot room for a few hours. The next day in the messages they were very apologetic and I understand it was an isolated mistake, but that is the problem of having no staff at all at the premises or nearby.

    The room has good air conditioning. Good location. The toilet and the bedroom are in fact two separate rooms on the same floor. You need to walk on the public corridor if you want to go from one room to another. There is no elevator (I must say I knew it before I made the booking). There is a washing machine in a common room at the basement area but it was so dirty. I dared not to use it even with the permission from the host.

    Location was great. Room had AC (which was in our booking criteria). Not all rooms have ensuite bathrooms. This was not apparent at booking nor on our reservation. Walking down the hall during the night meant hall light woke up companions, had to get dressed to go down hall etc. As such, this room was overpriced for its value. (Some rooms do have ensuite with no difference in booking price.)
