Amaris Hotel Thamrin City - Jakarta

I'm not satisfied with the small cockroach out of no whare. In the room and toilet.

The location - close proximity to shopping malls and F&B. Front desk staff was pleasant and very customer friendly - a must for any service orientated industry. Attend to my complaint and within 5 minutes, it was sorted out. Getting transport like Grab is easy. Room's view was not city view as stated in Booking.com. When I raised the blind, all I could see was the window of the adjacent room. Felt robbed. Room was damn small, lucky we only had 2 small bags. Bathroom - shower area had not shower curtain, so if you take your shower the whole bathroom is wet. Not well thought of here. Washbasin was clogged and the maintenance staff fixed it within 5 minutes. Saw baby cockroaches in the bathroom. Room lights was so dim that if you're there doing your work, be prepared to suffer staring at your laptop screen. Breakfast was nothing to shout about for the money I paid for. The mixed veg was salty and took a cup of coffee but sadly that was not coffee - more like herbal drink. Good to have labels to be more informative. The reason I stayed here was to see the facilities up front as in May my team is coming for a tournament and will be staying at this hotel. So, Have spoken to the staff at the front desk and to make sure that all rooms has an actual window with city view and shower curtains in the bathrooms.

Above thamrin city mall and nearby grand also plaza mall but You need to cross the road to reach indomaret 1. No refrigerator 2. Bathroom door cannot be closed fully 3. Got baby cockroaches everywhere 4. The bread toaster realllllyyyyy needs to be clean, PLEASE! 5. Theres no heater inside the room but got water dispenser outside the room 6. Do proper wash cleaning for the cups, i can still see some lipsticks stuck on the cup ?

Full set of breakfasts, tasty and still hot. Refillable water bottles. Friendly staffs. Cleanliness some of the floor were sticky. telephone some not working. Room reservation should be more smooth.

Clean,the location in central,just by walk to Hotel Indonesia interchange. The staff was so professional especially Ms.Caca in reception. Definitely will rebook this hotel. None

Breakfast was good and very friendly staff who were helpful whenever I approached the. The location is excellent if shopping is your thing. the three malls around the hotel means you could always nip back into the room to leave your purchases.

There’s construction going on and it’s a bit noisy

I saw a cockroach at the bathroom sink There was no view. No extra card key. Towels were worn out.

The best part is the people or the staff at the hotel. They are kind, friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was also good. Enough variety, decent taste. Not high end, more like local, common food but looks like everyone likes it. Possibly the biggest selling point of the hotel. The room is dark, bad lighting. There were cockroaches walking on the wall, little bugs on the bed. The towels smelled musty. I was scared to use it. Our room has a shower curtain that’s hung really high, leaves gap on the floor about 15 cm. Water splattered easily to the area outside the shower. My daughter’s room next door has no shower curtain at all. Her room has a little bottle of hand soap, our room has none. There’s a window in the room but it leads to a hallway. If you open the curtain, someone can look into your room. I don’t know how is it with the other Amaris hotel. But the Tham City location that we stayed was not good.
