    The bathroom shower had hair from previous guests. The floor of the shower was very cracked and rust on the shower. The continental breakfast had gnats flying around the tables.

    It was near work that I must travel to on my own dime from 3+ hours away weekly… they were stacking $300 holds on top of the pre-paid stays, and at one point there were $900 in “holds” total , which was ridiculous. Other hotels in the area hold $50, of no more than $100 for incidentals. It took forever (more than 7-10 days) for the holds to release. I’m staying elsewhere.

    The property was in a great location and easy access to the highway or interstate. The only thing that made it uncomfortable was the bugs in my room every day. I would find dead roaches and live centipedes near the bathroom.

    Additionally, they held another $250.00 on my credit card + $25.00 for over a week. This is aweful. When confronted about the fraudulent charge, the staff was not helpful at all and deflected to management who were never available. It is my worst experience in hotels.

    The room was a handicap room that they put us in, so there wasn't any counter space in the bathroom, which was a problem, but we made it work. The TV didn't work, so they put us in a different room, but once we got in the room, I kid you not, there were no light bulbs in the lamps, so we went back to the original room, and they had maintenance fix the TV the next morning. I went down to the front desk the next morning and asked for extra towels and was told abruptly NO. We are full tonight, so we don't have any extra to spare. I told her that we didn't have any maid service that day, and she said that we must've had a privacy sign on the door, which I told her we didn't, and she still continued to say that was the only reason we wouldn't have had service. I went upstairs and saw one of the housekeepers, and asked her for towels, and she gave them to us. It's not a bad hotel, especially for the price; they just need to be trained on how to talk with their guests, because some guests might not be as courteous as I was.

    Room and bathroom were clean and relatively updated if worn around the edges, would have rated higher except for the giant dying cockroach I found on the carpet. I'm fully in favor of pump soap/shampoo in hotel showers, but these were empty and I ended up washing with conditioner. They ran out of breakfast on one of the days so there was a lull with people waiting, but it was decent food and selection for a budget hotel. I'd probably stay there again, just always manage expectations.

    The breakfast was good and some nice surprises on the menu. Biscuits with sausage gravy and sausage Patties. Huge tasty waffles and fresh fruit. A yogurt bar with chopped fruit. Muffins bagels and all the fixings. Milks and juices (bottled) were great. The beds and pillows were very comfy and clean so we slept well. Only set back was the shower was not as clean as I would’ve liked. Hairs all over the walls as if it was mopped. The bottom of the tub was slimy and slippery. We have stayed here before and never noticed this. I would never pick a hotel with a nasty shower so that leads me to believe it was clean on our first visit. I will definitely give this location another try.

    Dirty. Ugly smell. Breakfast options very extremely limited. Cleaning lady rude. Night shift dude with attitude . Pics on here are nothing really to what it really is when you get there from my experience. I wouldn’t go back. & I do NOT recommend. Needs better maintenance, better customer service, needs to be remodeled. Do better.

    I come here often for work and I stayed at other hotels. I have recently started staying here and I will not be staying anywhere else. Maddie and the staff here are super helpful and are always accommodating anytime I come to town no matter the time the housekeepers are friendly and it is very accessible to everything. My company stays here exclusively now.

    This hotel has weird shaped rooms. Our door didn't close all the way unless you helped shove it close. The carpet was coming undone across the floor and the flooring itself was very uneven. The complimentary breakfast was awful and rarely refilled, and there was a sign saying you would be charged for it in the room but not at the breakfast area. The pillows were awful. The best thing was the shower and water pressure.

    The staff was extremely friendly. I had to immediately book a hotel because my inital hotel cancelled my booking with no notification and I was already in town. The front desk person I called to confirm my arrival was really kind and helpful and sent a follow up email with the hotel info, so I wouldn't have the same issue as before. When we arrived to the hotel (11p), the lady working the desk was also sweet and helpful.

    I must say I was really impressed with this hotel. One of the cleanest hotel rooms that I've seen in a while... But then breakfast came around, which was bagles, bread, coffee, waffles, juice and milk. THAT'S IT! And the next day was worse because breakfast was basically the leftovers from the morning before. Staff didn't even try to restock, I had tell the front office to refill the waffle batter machine and another guest asked for more bagels at 7 am. We were there for a Judo tournament and had a long day ahead of us. Some kind of protein or fruit would've been nice

    Good: clean and relatively new property. Bad: horrible service. A front desk lady during the night shirt was a horrible rep. It took her 45 min to check us in, when hotel was almost empty. Not only that, she charged us three times for a “deposit fee” (by mistake of course). After i disputed these overcharged fees she said i was rude and asked us to leave the place or else she would call the police. I said fine, call the police b/c i didnt break any laws. My little daughter was frightened as she thought the police would arrest us. Of course, she never called the cops (because we didn't do anything wrong), but surely ruined our stay.

    I just wish the room had a bathtub for taking a bath instead of a walk in shower. Also, the bed wasn’t too comfortable. It was a stiff spring mattress. Those aren’t ever comfy. Last but not least, the floors were wonky. The carpet was uneven and squeaked whenever I walked on it. The bathroom tile is wobbly too.

    An otherwise excellent stay was marred by both the body wash and conditioner dispensers in the shower empty. It is pretty standard that hotels provide these items so I wasn’t traveling with either. Definitely an important oversight.

    Did not have a good stay at this Fairfield , which I have stayed at many Marriott hotels as we travel often and we where very disappointed had multiple issues (shower/bathtub not draining) which we reported two times to hotel staff and they were unable /didn’t fix during our stay (which was several nights). Fire alarm went off in the middle of night and had to be evacuated outside for 20mins until we could go back in after fire department came (never saw or spoke to hotel staff ) this was very disappointing .

    The staff is friendly, but this hotel needs to be knocked down and redone. Also, it appears that there is a restaurant next-door, but it looks like it is abandoned. There are numerous broken down old cars in the parking lot with flat tires and covered in dirt, they have obviously been there for months. I’m surprised the city code enforcement has not come down and abated this property. THIS IS A DUMP.

    The hotel was average. The desk staff was not welcoming or friendly on arrival. The key did not work for my door immediately, so I had to get it redone. The toilet wouldn’t flush correctly, so I had to call maintenance. It was not a good stay.

    Unfortunately, the first night I arrived I saw a large cockroach right above my bed. I don't really fault the hotel, it is Texas after all and bugs are to be expected. The front desk clerk immediately had me switch rooms, however, I didn't sleep at all because we got moved to a room directly above the old room so I kept thinking the roaches would scatter after being sprayed. Probably not true but I could not get it out of my head. Then the next morning I woke up and the toilet wouldn't flush. Once again, they immediately went to fix the problem. The staff is great and attentive and I think try to do their best with an old hotel.

    Went to see the eclipse. It's only a 5 mnute walk from the Orange DART rail line which is nice if you don't have car. The breakfasts were all very good. Nearest other places to eat are anywhere from 100 yards (one place) to half a mille as an FYI if you don't have a car. Room was nice and clean with no problems. For some reason I thought they had a pool which they don't, but you can swim at the neigboring Mariott which is 3 min walk from there. I will point out that our cab driver got all confused trying to follow his GPS using the 630 W John Carpenter Freeway address (this hotel is next to the freeway but clearly not right on the freeway), however I also think he may have just wanted a bigger fare by getting lost. If you are looking for a nice walk, head over to Jefferson Park about 0.6 miles away and enjoy the lakes and walk. Anyhow, it was a great time and thank you!

    I repeatedly called because the television did not work. No one came the evening then the next morning it took two calls. The television eventually came on but no wifi for the Netflix advertised due to bad wifi signal . The bathroom floor around the shower need repair . Felt very cheap.

    I expected this chain hotel to be in better condition. Needs maintenance and updating. The room we were assigned had an older model tv, that was unplugged and when we plugged it in it wouldn’t turn on, no cable or nothing worked. Told front desk and they moved us to another room which tv worked with the cable they had. We were hoping to connect our Netflix. After the concert we attended we purchased some sodas they had, one of them seemed a bit flat. The room was okay, and the location was great for our event. I would not stay here again.

    Great room with comfy beds. Cold AC. Amazing shower with great pressure but shower head was a little short (I’m 6’-5” tall) so I had to squat a little bit to get under the shower head but it had great pressure and it got hot fast. Front desk was friendly and emerged and welcoming.

    When we first arrived we were given a first floor room that had no curtains so the very bright parking lot lights kept the room too lit to sleep in. Moved to an upstairs room which had curtains but if you tried to close the bathroom door you would possibly get stuck. I had to yank the door very hard to open the door again. Lots of peeling paint. Weird room configuration. Uncomfortable bed. Just overall a weird vibe. Which is strange as I usually have good experiences at Marriot properties. Oh well I guess they all can't be great.

    Property is renovated… but still old. Our room was 84 degrees when we walked in. Hallways are musty and humid. Only showed 1 room on our reservation at check in when my receipt showed the two I had reserved. In addition, the room type, location I requested was not noted. Hotel was quick to blame the “third party” I made the reservation with (Orbitz) for not getting that information. Anyway, it got figured out.

    If you are expecting a quiet night do not book here. The walls are thin. I could hear everything on our floor. But the major issue was the uneven floors in the room. I tripped multiple times walking in the room because the floor was uneven in different spots around the room. The only upside was that the staff was friendly. I probably won’t ever book here again.

    Needed a last minute room and it was TX v OU weekend so options were very limited. The first room had about a 1/2 inch gap between the window and wall so air was coming through and I had to change rooms. Second room the toilet didn't work but I was too tired and went to bed. The hotel is on a freeway and you can clearly hear the noise. The room itself just seemed sad and drab with no art work on the walls and the elevator carpet didn't look very clean. The bed was a little hard and lumpy. It was inexpensive and for only one night but I wouldn't stay again.
