Hotel Granduca Houston

Perfect place to go for a staycation. Lovely and great area to walk to restaurants and retail.

The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. The valet service was especially efficient - we never waited more than 2 minutes for our car! The hotel even has a courtesy car for close-by restaurants or shopping! Our room was HUGE and very comfortable - the a/c was the best I’ve ever felt, especially for the hot, muggy weather. I look forward to returning to this wonderful hotel!

Granduca-Houston did not disappoint. It was luxurious, but not trashy/gaudy, as some Houston hotels in the area tend to be, quiet, staffed with good people and loaded with useful amenities. We travel to Houston frequently and the Granduca will be a welcomed respite while in town.

INterior renovation is fabulous but exterior is still a bit shabby. Particularly pool area.

Hotel is very convenient and beautiful. Our stay was great. Room was convenient and clean. Beds are very comfortable with great white bedding. Bathroom was big and nice. Bar area is excellent and lunch the provided was very tasty. It was very very nice stay. Thanks

On Expedia shows a certain caliber of reviews and stars for the quality of the hotel and the service just did not match what was promised. The service in general was very slow. Between the valet service and request requesting things from the front desk I always had to call twice. Additionally, I went to the bar and the bartenders were also very slow and it was not even full. It was only myself and another couple at the bar. I also thought that the hostess of the restaurant was very rude and not very warm and are welcoming. My room also had issues such as tile that is separating from the walls in the bathroom and every time you shower, the floor of the bathroom would flood. Additionally, I requested a late checkout and I was told it would be an additional $100 and when I still requested only one hour difference in the late checkout housekeeping was still barging into the room unannounced, even though hours before I had notified the front desk, I wanted a late checkout.

December 2023 the pool was warm and hot tub was hot. December 2025 the pool was very cold, no longer temp controlled, and hot tub was chilly, with very little temp control. So pool was disappointing. Everything else was great!

yes the we were there only one night the bathroom should have more towels in general and add tissues .also the a/c did not really work correctly . If we were there for any length of time. wewould have ask to correct these .

We had a great 3 night stay and enjoyed the area. The hotel and staff are some of the best we have experienced. The complimentary shuttle is nice and has a 2 mile radius from the hotel. This allows travel to many nice restaurants and sights in the area.

Great hotel, very attentive staff. Excellent service. The TV could be improved. For such an upscale hotel I was surprised that the did not have Netflix or Prime. Although the TV had a large numbers of stations, it had no menu/listing, so one could not see had was on each station except by watching it for a while. Not very convenient!!!

The hotel facilities are nice. But the staff is very slow. The fact that from 5 rooms we booked. They are still holding 300 dollar deposit

Very comfortable hotel with excellent facilities. The staff was wonderful. The only reason why I rate it as 9 is because the shower and bathtub were not separate. I was expecting a walk-in shower.

Our nice sized room was spacious, c clean and comfortable. There was a coffee maker, bar sink, microwave and stove top. There were no dishes so not sure how you could heat up anything on the burners. There was no refrigerator and what might have been a bar was locked with nothing inside. We enjoyed the pool area the attendant was efficient and friendly. Overall, we loved the hotel and service and would return but would probably go out to eat our meals since there are so many restaurants close by.

The staff was excellent and the room was excellent. Could not have asked for a better getaway. Poolside was great but did have an issue with the event going on there that the pool did not have enough umbrellas to accommodate all sitting locations. Our umbrella was moved because we put it down to get some sun and when i asked for an umbrella, they staff said they did not have anymore. Other than that the restaurant was amazing the library was so comfortable. The entire staff in the hotel were just very welcoming and kind.

Classy, Calm and beautiful all around. The rooms were spacious and the pool was beautiful. Food by the pool was also great. Walking distance to Uptown park where you can find restaurants and shops. They were a bit stingy with towels in the room. We booked for 4 adults and only got 2 towels but when we asked for more they brought them up.

We always love staying at this hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food in the Remi restaurant is outstanding. Response time in getting your car from valet or for someone to help with luggage is almost immediate. The rooms are quite large and little extras like high quality toiletries, a robe, and slippers are appreciated.

I especially liked the design details like the photography on the wall near the check in counter and the picture book laid out next to the elevator. Also everything was generous and worked. Staff was extremely friendly and appeared to do their job with joy.

I really liked and enjoyed my time there. The only thing I didn’t like was how early the hot tub/ pool closes. They closed them down at 10 pm. So I didn’t get to experience that amenity.

The hotel is in need of some upgrades. Hotel is very dated. Construction was going on so only one elevator was working. It was not worth the price and on top of all this I got charged for self parking. Location.

Good location They tried to over charge my American Express card when I arrived for incidentals . It was declined . I called the customer service. They told ent hey we’re trying to charge $647.00 and to get a line item receipt and it was supposed to be $150. This happened the time before. I was very upset thinking my CC had been hacked. They were supposed to give me a full refund. When I left they told me they were waiting on the manager. All the staff except one valet was fired or quit in the few days before. There were also some strange people and activities around. I will not stay there until it if finished na even then I might not. They better refund my stay.

We love the Granduca. The ongoing construction is hard but we know it will make the property better. I feel and hope the entrance and the new valet group are as great as the previous ones. The always familiar valet always remembered my mom and helped her inside with her luggage. It's the extra things that matter!

I usually stay here because I like that they have a restaurant / bar in the hotel so i dont have to go out at night. However, it was under construction and was not made aware of that until i arrived. I do think once the construction is done it will be great. The staff was lovely.

All services were crammed into one small space and only the service elevator worked. Guests make their way down a back service corridor to find the elevator. No food service was available from the hotel and the only bar was the vestibule for the former restaurant. Despite the inconvenience and lack of all services, we were charged the full price for the former luxury boutique hotel. No advance notice of the construction or limited services was provided.

This is a very nice property - beautiful and comfortable with topnotch service. (Wyatt at the front desk was the BEST!) For the price and the 5 stars, parts of the property could use a little TLC (renovations/upgrades).

Location Significant renovations were taking place at the property during my visit, which meant that the typical dining space was closed as well as the patios, and only the pool area was open. However, in order to reach the pool area guest were required to walk outside and all the way around the property to access this area. The property did not inform guests of the extensive renovations and minimized the work being done. Work on the property due to renovations begin early in the mornings and lasted all throughout the day, creating a very loud and disruptive atmosphere making it impossible to work remotely uninterrupted from property. Upon check out, I requested to speak to a manager and there was none available. I shared how my room did not have a basic amenity such as a refrigerator causing my $50 custom-made gumbo to spoil. I was only offered a breakfast for the many unacceptable interruptions and inconvenience experienced while staying at this property. I requested that a manager give me a call and to date I have not heard from anyone from the property. I am recommending to my colleagues and business partners to no longer stay at this property when visiting Houston due to the poor accommodations and customer service.

However, the deferred maintenance and lack of attention to the property means they are charging rates based on the hotel it once was and not the hotel owners have allowed it to become. What a shame.

However, the deferred maintenance and lack of attention to the property means they are charging rates based on the hotel it once was and not the hotel owners have allowed it to become. What a shame.

Property seemed a little dated. Poor technology. Television had no signal half the time. Had to pay $30 for self parking on the surface lot. Doormen were great.

It is gorgeous. You don’t know that you’re in Houston at this hotel. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay special. Our room was really nice with lots of room and comfort.

Wonderful place. The room I was large and very comfortable. A small thing is that it could have used a light upgrade, with more outlets and computer and phone charging ports on the bedside table. But very roomy, clean and elegant. A favorite in Houston.

Excellent is not superlative enough to describe the Granduca in Houston. It is wonderful in every way. The Valet was great and took care of the car and luggage without a hitch. The check in was equally easy and made delightful by a charming, young woman who had just come to the US. The restaurant was also very special with most excellent service. The room was especially large and extremely comfortable. Every amenity one could wish for was there. Superlative in every way. I will be back at the Granduca the next time I visit Houston.

What a fantastic place to stay! It is our third time and we can’t wait to return. The restaurant is amazing and service staff is fantastic.

Food is great property has alot of character. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

Valet attendants very nice and helpful. Front desk attendant hard to understand her accent and was not very friendly. Very nice room. Only one bar of soap for bathroom (need one each for shower and sink). Nice bathrobes. Lamp next to bed would not turn off unless you use the light switch by the door. Then have to find bed in the dark. Did not like that.

No full length mirror, dated furniture, thermostat set on one temperature, stuffy room, loud party by pool until midnight 1st night I checked in. Over priced!

For the five star hotel, I was a little disappointed and having no icebox to put food or drink in in the room. There was no chocolates on the bed TV did not work. They wouldn’t move me to a room. They gave me a new remote TV work for 30 minutes then no longer, just disappointing for a five star hotel not like others I’ve stayed at The billiard room was messy pool table was dirty chipped up. This was disappointing for an avid pool player.

Wyatt was great and very professional. This is the first hotel I've ever been to that actually looks like the pictures. The traditional suite was nice and roomy. Me and my husband will definitely be back.

Perhaps they could use some softener in the water in order to create a comfort. I will not recommend the price I payed.

Checkin was messed up. Paid extra for room with balcony, but was sent to two different rooms without balcony. They tried to charge me for upgrade to balcony even though I already paid that. Finally a manager stepped in and fixed everything on third try. What a hassle though.

We were very pleased with our stay. The jr. suite was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet and the location was perfect with easy access to everything we had planned. The staff were all very friendly, warm and helpful. This is definitely a wonderful place to stay.

This place is billed as 5 star. U wouldn't know it from looking at it. The place is in dire need of an update. The entire property looks like nothing new has been done to it since it opened. The rms r nothing special. Very old furniture & carpeting in them. I will say the bed (w/ my topper on it) was comfortable. The rm was quiet & there were ppl availabe if U needed something. If you're looking for something modern, go somewhere else. This place looks ancient. Wouldn't recommend it & wouldn't go back. The help was friendly tho.
