I have stayed twice and always the water and light goes out for an entire day after hours there’s is no one to be found in the front desk and I have stayed there twice and both of the times the same thing happened there won’t be a third time

It smelled like mildew, to be fair I’m very sensitive to smell. And my room and dozens of tiny little black ants crawling around the bathroom and side table nearest the bed. It was pretty vacant during my stay which felt weird.

Lack of help at the front desk. We were switched to (3) different rooms because of the following reasons: Wrong bed type- given two queen beds instead of a King that was purchased. No cable - but was then told that they do not have cable.

Hotel bar not open on Saturdays. No hot water at all during our stay. Nighttime front desk clerk did not speak any English. Was offered 2 free breakfasts for inconvenience of not being able to take a hot shower

Booked our stay here because they advertised a pool. Just to get there and be told the pool was closed “for cleaning to get it ready for the season”. To me this didn’t mas sense because it’s Texas… but anyways. The rooms smelled like mildew, they had a very strong smell of it. The blankets were like covering yourself up with a rain coat due to the plastic texture. The towels (even the blanket) had stains on them and I found hairs stuck to the rags even though they were brought in “clean”. The shower curtain had mildew at the bottom of it. There was a dog barking majority of the night across the hall from us. Overall very disappointed for the amount of money that was spent to stay here.

It says daily housekeeping but apparently it needs to be requested which wasn’t communicated. When it did get “cleaned” the bed was simply made, trash at the front door remained, nothing was wiped down, nothing swept or vacuumed.

I asked for fresh sheets and was given some on request, but I had to pick them up from the desk and put them on myself, which isn’t a huge deal but I had just worked 12 hours straight and that was the last thing I wanted to do when I got back to the hotel. The receptionist said the staff had left for the day, which is understandable. But other than that the staff was great.

I liked the staff's attitudes and the overall stay. Great room. AC kept the room very cold, which is our preference. Bathroom was very clean. The room has a modern style to it. the pillows could have been a little more hard.

Location was very convenient and premises seemed safe and clean. Staff was kind. The room was cleaned and towels replaced with regularity. I had no issues during a weeklong stay. My particular room had some cosmetic issues (shower stall, drywall) and appeared lived in. There was a light beside the bed that worked only sometimes. I had originally checked in another room which appeared to be in better/pristine condition, but staff accommodated a move of rooms due to a power surge/TV issue. There was a storage room adjacent to my room that looked like it was supposed to be locked but was open a few times, which was a little concerning. The wifi was spotty, and cell service was bad, but I found that throughout the area not just in the hotel.

nothing but the location The AC was loud making noise and the shower constantly drip, and I asked to change rooms and they took them more than half the next day to give me into a different room so I just left and didn’t even stay the second night and I paid for a night I didn't even stay that’s how disappointed I was and the bar was not open on the weekend

They had great community lounge areas to hang out. Breakfast was what you would expect for being included. The only time we had a bit of a snafu was when we had a 1 pm late checkout and housekeeping knocked on the door twice within 1 minute around noon asking if we were extending our stay or were going to leave. Communication would have been nice amongst the staff. I would definitely stay again.

"She's coming up right now." Still, nothing. After another 25 minutes, I called a third time, and was told, "Omg I'm so sorry, just hang tight, we'll assign you to a new room." No one ever came to look at the issue or speak to us directly. We were simply told that we would be called when the new room was ready - and we would need to go back to the front desk for new keys. In the second room, things didn't improve. Within 30 minutes, the power in the bathroom went out completely. The shower and fridge had visible mold, and it was clear the room hadn't been properly maintained. The front desk staff didn't seem to care much and didn't offer any real assistance. One person was seated the entire time we passed through the lobby. Overall, this was a very poor experience. We were left to handle issues on our own, and the staff's lack of urgency or basic hospitality made it even worse. I would not recommend staying here.

Next morning I go to have breakfast and the only people there were me and the attendant who was intently watching Youtube videos by the bar (I couldn't help but hear them.) I almost sat in a sticky chair that someone had clearly spilled a drink in and onto the floor below. I left the chair to the side of the table to signal "hey - this is a mess." After breakfast, I walked up to the desk to share my concerns as I was leaving and noticed that the chair that I was pointing out was pushed back in and nothing had been cleaned up. This just signals to me a lack of supervision and focus on details. I didn't realize this hotel was part of the Marriott chain but it certainly isn't part of the standards I was taught by Marriott early in my career. Just disappointing - I actually like the hotel.

The only thing to keep in mind is that having a car is quite necessary to get around, as public transportation options in the area are limited. Other than that, it was a perfect stay!

Breakfast should be complimentary. Unfortunately there was a fire alarm on my first night at midnight. It was also worrisome there wasn't much communication from the hotel staff and the fire department didn't show up for >30minutes.

Nothing at all. Four Points by Sheraton in Northwest Houston, Texas, is plagued by serious management and operational issues that make staying there a regrettable experience. From the assistant general manager to the front desk employees, the entire team exhibits a blatant lack of customer service skills and professionalism. Employees such as Shannon and BB, who work at the front desk, are particularly rude, disrespectful, and ill-mannered, making interactions with them frustrating and unpleasant. Their behavior has been so unacceptable that it has been reported to guest relations services, but it appears no improvements have been made. The cleanliness of the hotel leaves much to be desired, particularly in the hallways on the second through fourth floors, which reek of dog urine. The stench is overwhelming and indicative of neglect in maintaining basic hygiene standards. Moreover, the laundry area is filthy and virtually unusable, with machines that are broken and appear to have been neglected for an extended period. Similarly, the ice machines are out of service, adding to the list of basic amenities that are nonfunctional. Adding to the unpleasant atmosphere is the frequent police activity at the hotel, which raises serious concerns about safety and the type of clientele being accommodated. This environment does not inspire confidence or a sense of security for guests who expect a peaceful stay. One of the most troubling experiences involved being misled about charges for service animals. Before arriving, I called to confirm there would be no charges for my service animals and was assured there would be none. However, upon checking in, I was charged $60 per pet, and the same employee I spoke to on the phone denied our previous conversation. This level of dishonesty is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete disregard for guests’ trust. During my stay, the staff attempted to overcharge my credit card despite the receipt showing a zero-dollar balance.

I have to be honest there was a very musty mold smell in the second floor hallway which is where our room was. And felt a little uneasy with a police car sitting in the parking lot one night into the morning!

Housekeeping does not play attention to cleaning. We had to repeat for them to sweep because they had not done so the day before. Since our last stay in November it has changed a lot, not sure if it’s new owners or what happened.

Stay away from this place! Get out of the area. My truck was broken into over night. When the officers asked to see hotel video footage they claimed there was a glitch in the security system that night and there were no recordings. The hotels no help in a robbery situation.

You guys lost points, but the Buffett breakfast was a slight redemption but not much.

No milk available in breakfast. I had my 2 year old child with me. Even though we paid for breakfast we weren’t able to get any breakfast. No coffee in breakfast area. If you are gonna charge for breakfast at least provide better service. When I asked front desk if there is milk she just like oh we didn’t had delivery today. Just like she didn’t care. Not staying at this hotel in future. Terrible service. Spent $110 for a night stay and it’s not even worth a dime.

There was nothing to like. This was the worst Four Points ever. Water in shower stopped working. Management was like...."what dobyou want me to do". We offered to give you another room, which was handicapped, weird shower set up, terrible smell, loud a/c, elevators dirty, with sticky substance that was spilled, trash. Expired milk at breakfast. The property was centrally located and I did have great customer service at check in. The elevator was down my entire stay and I am asthmatic so this was a inconvenience. I would have asked for a ground floor room if I knew. I ask both nights shift front desk clerks about the elevator and they both said "it just broke". Which is very untrue. There is a note in the stairwell that states that the elevator has been broken forever. I would not recommend anyone with health concerns, elderly or disable to stay hear. There was also pretty musty scent through out the hotel in the lobby and the hallways. it was not in the room but very disturbing.

The second floor smelled like wet carpet and bleach. The ice machine was out of order on the second floor went to the next couple of floors and neither of those worked. The A.C. in the room was super loud. Plus they don’t have Continental breakfast either. It’s $10.00 to eat their buffet but let me tell you it’s not worth it. Trust I travel a lot for work and have stayed at some bad ones but this one had too many issues at the same time…😑

The hotel lobby did not smell clean and fresh when we walked in. The curtain shower was a little slimy due to it not being cleaned on a regular basis. The restroom lobby had a foul order order it.

The staff at this hotel was exceptional and attentive. Though my check in was delayed due to house cleaning, Andre, at the front desk, went out of his way to help expedite the process and ensure my stay was enjoyable.

Staffs were nice, room was clean when I got there but they did not clean it the next day, ac unit was not working properly was on and off every minute and it's soo loud that i couldn't sleep, I asked front desk to send someone to check it out or transfer to another room but they did not do anything, swimming pool and gym were okay, overall not my best experience so I'll never stay or recommend anyone to stay there

The staff is nice, but I was not very satisfied. I was unable to find a working ice machine and the pool was closed. I was also told that dinner would be available from 5-9 pm, but when I wanted to get dinner, I was told they weren't open because there was no food. It's ridiculous to offer something and then you don't provide. I had read the reviews prior to my stay, but decided to try it anyway and I can say that the comments should be heeded.

I had a horrible experience, but this was no fault of the hotel… The moment I checked in, we were hit with a tornado and the hotel lost power. My experience was horrible because the lights were out the remainder of the day into the wee hours of the morning, so I decided to just book another hotel but because of the storm there were no close hotels with power so I had to drive an hour out of town

The hotel does not have central air. It has window units. The interior design is appealing but being in Houston you could feel the humidity in the halls, elevator, and your room unless you kept the unit running all night. The staff was nice.
