    I have stayed here many times but this may be my last. FIBA World Cup is in town but they are more concerned about that than, giving each customer satisfactory service. My A/C in the room would not get cold and it took forever for the water to get hot. I payed for the breakfast and they gave me issues. Double Tree used to be a reliable place to stay but I have received better service and amenities at newly designed motel.

    We arrived very late at night and were extremely tired after traveling. The staff was very kind and accommodating. Our original room was having water issues, so they upgraded us to a room with a balcony, which we really appreciated. The room was clean, and the staff made a stressful late-night arrival much easier. Overall we had a positive experience and appreciated their helpfulness and customer service!

    Well I didn’t get the warm and friendly greeting I was expecting. The bathroom needs upgraded tub was awful. The room was clean. The older man behind the counter gave me 2 cookies that was laying on the counter. Breakfast buffet was $30 over priced. I may have expected more because of the galleria area. A cup of coffee was $2 in the kitchenette area. After mentioning the $3 water per bottle in the room they waved those fees. I could have paid less at another hotel and got a complementary breakfast included.

    The hotel and furnishings need to be upgraded. Various stains and paint issues within the room. The staff didn’t speak English and getting things like tissue and towels was a bit complicated. The suite didn’t have basic things like soap or dishwasher pods. The view was nice but it wasn’t worth the price!

    The staff was excellent and perfectly attentive to any and all needs. The property is not kept up well though. The hinges on doors in the bathroom are rusted. The toilet is sized for a toddler. The amenities are very outdated. You can’t even stream on the tv’s. The towels are not adult size.

    The overall hotel was well-maintained but our specific room (817) had very bad stained carpet and small amout of mold in the shower. Unfortunately, we couldn't switch rooms as there wasn't anymore with a balcony. Regardless the staff was great especially the restaurant hostess (sorry I don't remember her name). Would consider staying here again should the rooms receive a major update.

    Now the breakfast? It was $37, and personally I chose not to eat it because I felt like I could’ve gone outside of the hotel and found a better breakfast for that price. But outside of that, everything else about my stay was truly a wonderful experience. The hotel itself, the environment, and the hospitality definitely made the trip memorable. I would absolutely stay again.

    Be careful upon arrival. The valet girl was very very rude to us. Screaming you can’t park there. You can’t park there. We hadn’t stayed at this location before so we wet caught off guard. I move my car and again not there either she screamed. She totally ruined the good feeling we had getting there.

    This review is specifically about the staff working valet parking morning of Sunday 5/17/2026. He had a very bad attitude and I seriously recommend some customer service training for him. I misplaced the valet ticket given to me the night before, in spite of the fact that my jeep was parked right in front of the hotel he refused to give me my keys. My last name and my room number was written on the tag on the keys but he just refused to open the key cabinet to look for my keys. He kept asking me over and over what my tag number was and I kept telling him that I did not know what it was so he simply said he couldn't help me. What was I supposed to do? Leave my car there and walk home? Very poor management. Will never stay there again.

    Great hotel location with very professional, attentive, and helpful staff who made the stay pleasant and welcoming. The room size was spacious and comfortable. However, the carpet and sofa appeared dated, and there was a lingering food smell coming from the kitchen area. Unfortunately, my allergies became much worse inside the room at night, which interrupted my sleep quite a bit. Despite these issues, the staff’s excellent service and the convenient location were definite highlights of the stay.

    First standard room was not to my liking. Seems like I was given the room where all the old furniture was stored so everything had a wear and tear look and sofa was very not suitable to sit on. Had a very dirty look so stayed on the bed most of the time which was not as pleasing either as the comforter yes like a light yellow instead of white. I felt this was a room for those who did not pay that much and was thrown into the less presentable room. Parking was the only thing that the information could have been more open getting the parking pass to leave and return from the property. Other than that snaffu our stay was great with no issues.     The hotel was very nice. We didn’t use any amenities. The staff was very kind and helpful. The parking was HORRIBLE. The valet, parking garage, self parking, it is all not good. I know it is not the hotel staff’s fault, but the design, the layout, the way it’s done, is horrible. It is packed. The parking garage is filthy. It’s gross, trash, spilled drinks, bodily functions, etc. The hotel itself is pretty and clean The people were really nice. The rooms are clean, but the parking is a nightmare.

    If you drive in and have your own car Parking Rate is very expensive. Life is what it is and we were satisfied with our stay. Breakfast buffet was to expensive we did not experience, and we did not go to the bar, however it looked busy each night and customers seemed to be enjoying themselves.

The “clean” dishes needed cleaning again. The toilet would run constantly unless we jiggled the handle. There was no hand soap in our room, but they brought it up relatively quickly once we brought this to their attention. Despite a dishwasher, there was no soap for cleaning dishes. The hallways smelled like they were spraying to cover up a bad smell, it was too strong. Staff was nice. Maybe a little too nice, they were allowing smokers directly outside the only entrance/exit.

    Tub, sink and shower curtain had hair on and in it. Furniture was stained, old, discolored and smelly. Table in living room had crumbs all around in the cracks of it. Curtains are dingy looking and carpet had stains on it, I made sure to keep shoes on whenever my feet were on the floor. I was also charged $50 for early check in instead of the $30 that was marketed when checking in through my Hilton honors app. I’ll never stay here again.

    My suit was large but needs major upgrades. They need to remove the carpet in the rooms and update everything. Ripped couches, the shower was stained, toilet flushes slow. Sink drains slow. Appliances are getting old but whatever. Even the balcony exterior looks old and needs updating. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t wow and it you like a luxury feel like me then this might not be the place for you. It’s mid lol if they update the heck out of it I’ll be back if not I’m parting ways. Staff was really good and so was house keeping but the owner really needs to invest in his property. Also why is there no Jacuzzi outside? Pool was a little dirty at the bottom and all the tanning chairs were torn up.

    I did not realize I would be stepping into what felt like a time capsule from the 1980s—complete with visible neglect and poor upkeep. While the lobby appeared updated and presentable, the room itself told a very different story. It was dark, uninviting, and aesthetically displeasing. The wallpaper was visibly bubbling and peeling, the carpet was torn in multiple areas, and the furniture was damaged—including a worn leather chair and a desk in clear disrepair. I do have photographs documenting these conditions. Cleanliness was also a serious concern. I am grateful that I travel with disinfectant supplies, because there was visible residue or grime on one of the walls, and I found a long strand of hair—at least 14 inches—in the shower. My own hair is nowhere near that length, which only underscored the lack of proper cleaning and attention to detail. I tolerated the conditions only because I spent most of my time outside the room attending to other obligations. However, returning each evening felt less like returning to a place of comfort and more like settling for a diminished standard of living. That is not an experience I ever expected to have at a Hilton property, or any hotel, especially in 2026.

We booked 5 rooms for 5 people, and one room got randomly charged with liquor nobody ordered nor consumed, they processed the refund later. And 2.     The room was fine. Wish there was a chair or 2 on the balcony. The staff was ok. I was disappointed however when we didn't receive our breakfast vouchers right away and they had no parking passes at the desk. The pool area was not nice. A lot of broken furniture and bird dropping on most chairs. Very unkempt. Amber (bar manager) and Stephen (valet) were among the friendliest people we encountered. My husband ask for Italian chicken wings one night at the bar, and Amber came back and said they were out of Italian dressing and volunteered to run across the street to grab some from a store. We told her that was not necessary, but she did it. Now that was going over and beyond! The hotel itself needs some updating as it is older.

    When I arrived it was a long line of angry customers. People were saying that they couldn't get in their rooms, others were saying they left out of their room and came back and other people were in their room stating that the staff gave them the room. People were complaining their belongings being taken by their rooms being double book. We stood in the line for over 45 minutes asking whats going on and letting them know that we just wanted to check in and go to the concert. Hotel staff were very rude with everyone saying their system is down and it was nothing they could do. We asked to be compensated for parking or even for a night and was told that they couldn't. They had no estimate time on when the rooms would be ready.. we ended up being 2 hours late to a concert that we drove 4 hours for. This was a big inconvenience. We had to go find another hotel to book for the weekend and wasn't able to attend the concert. I will NEVER EVER be back and we lost money and wasn't able to receive a refund for our tickets. We were so disappointed and asked for a manger the employees were angry with everyone in the line and people were just asking for answers.

    When I arrived there were about 50 people in line trying to check in. The computers were down. This was about 6:30 in the evening. I needed to change for an event so I went to the lobby bathroom and changed. Women were coming in saying they had been assigned to several rooms that had people in them already when they opened the door. I went to my event. When the event was over around midnight I called the hotel to see if they still had availability and if I could check in. They said I could check in but they still had a lobby full of people trying to check in. They cancelled my reservation and I had to find a different place to stay int he middle of the night. Need a refund. Need this to be made right

    There was long lines when I checked in and every day until I checked out. The clerk asked several times to have a manager come out to assist with checking customers in but no one showed up. The front desk gave the impression the long lines were an ongoing issue. I was never made aware of a dining room was on the 2nd floor until the day I checked out. The tv was unplugged and the microwave clock was flashing which indicates no one was in the room prior to my arrival. The hotel and rooms are dated. It was by far the worst Doubletree that I have ever stayed in. It gave franchise vibes instead of a corporate operated hotel.

The bartender overcharged me; cocktails total cost was $38 but he put $49, sales tax was based on $49 then he also put 18% mandatory service charge despite we were only two customers and it was based on $49.

    The room. We had a long afternoon or travel, when we arrived there was no toilet paper. Then there wasn't enough towels for the 4 people in the room. Twice we had to call for more towels because cleaning staff didn't leave enough. The beds made a creek noise when you moved. We had to call for more coffee because the staff didn't replenish when they cleaned. Also never have I stayed at a Hilton where you had to pay for the crappy coffee. Wouldnt stay here again.

    The hotel from the outside looks nice, but looks are definitely deceiving with this one. We checked in and once off the elevator and onto the 15th floor and the immediate smell of sewage hit me. Literally the floor/carpet smells of mildew and sewage. We get to our room and it is nice, no complaint there. However, at 4 am, my daughter went to use the restroom and the toilet overflowed onto the bathroom floor and into the room. I called down to the front desk and spoke with the clerk and he stated he would send someone up- never showed. We get up and I call back down to the front desk and they said they will send someone up, no showed so we went to breakfast. We came back to get ready for the day and the toilet is still messed up abc the floor is wet. I finally get someone to actually show up and fix it before it’s time to check out. Once I’m downstairs to check out, someone from the hotel with an iPad is immediately in my face asking about my stay and after I say less than pleasurable, he offers to “give you some points for your trouble “ which I still never got and the proceeds to try and sell me a vacation!!!!!! Sir! If you don’t read the room- this place needs to be updated, customer service needs to be worked on and definitely work on educating employees on how to handle situations like this

She introduced me to the Hilton Honors app and took the time to thoroughly explain how to maximize its benefits. She was patient, informative, and genuinely invested in ensuring I had the best possible experience as a Hilton guest. The room was beautiful. I loved being on a high floor with a balcony the view was outstanding and added a sense of calm and luxury to my stay. There were a few minor maintenance details, but once mentioned, they were addressed immediately, which I truly appreciated. The staff overall was pleasant and accommodating. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay here again when I return.

    Woke up this morning went to breakfast and it was $63 for two people for a mid breakfast with not many options to choose from, didn’t even have a waffle maker like most hotel breakfast.     We stayed in a suite that was very roomy. It had a full kitchen and a living room with a pull out sofa and a seperate bedroom. The room was clean and the hotel was conveniently located near everything; shops, restaurants, all within walking distance. The valets were very friendly and helpful. The only downide is the rooms need updated.

    Our room on the 15th floor had some nasty stains on the couch. We asked to be moved to another room which wasn’t any better. There were stains on the couch, stains on the dining chairs, light bulb was out, it was dark and musty and the windows were covered with moss or some green stuff on the outside. Seems like they never clean the exterior of the windows. The room sleeps 5 but they only gave us 2 bath towels. Go figure. The hallways smelled of very strong potpourri scent. They compensated us with free breakfast but the hotel rooms really needs an update. Location is great by the Galleria.

    The amenities were also impressive, especially the fitness center and pool area, which were both well-maintained and relaxing. Overall, my stay was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Houston.

    ​The hot water system in this specific room is incredibly slow. On multiple occasions, I had to run the shower for 20 minutes or more before the water became even remotely warm. This is not only a major inconvenience when trying to get ready in the morning, but it is also a staggering waste of water. ​I would strongly suggest that the maintenance team examines the plumbing or the mixing valves for the 12th floor. Until this is resolved, I would recommend future guests double-check the water temperature upon check-in or request a different room. ​I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as it’s a frustrating flaw in an otherwise pleasant hotel.

    Breakfast needs extensive improvement. You can explore breakfast options and standards at HYATT. Your rooms need extensive upgrading- the rugs, the curtains, the bath and toilet wares - all need upgrading/replacement. The toilet in my room wasn’t flushing well leaving pieces of feaces in toilet bowl all the time after flushing.

    I had a great stay - the room had a bit of a smell but it wasn't terrible. They are renovating at the moment on some floors. The rooms are older and worn but overall the building is nice, the bar, lobby, etc. safe area, etc. Parking is not free!

    Front desk staff was great and resourceful. Housekeeping had a couple miscues (didn't provide a roll of toilet paper, didn't thoroughly clean shower, etc.) and the mirror in the bathroom was damaged. Elevator wait times were prolonged due to some of the elevators being down for maintenance. Property location is great though; in walking distance of a lot stores/restaurants.

    This was a great stay! The young ladies in valet were AMAZING!! They were friendly, very engaging and helpful with some “where’s and what’s” in the area. The front desk was helpful and very accommodating. Had an amazing time at the bar with Whitney. Charlotte the greeter helped with making sure I was getting my Hilton Honors points. The young ladies at the entrance of the breakfast section were amazing as wll! The entire stay was great!! I will stay there again for sure.

    However, I was deeply disappointed by an incident involving one of their employees at the front desk. She kept my money for the overnight parking fee that the hotel charges. The hotel charges $32 per night for parking in their garage, so instead of having to pay that fee when I checked out, I asked the same employee if I could pay it right away while I was checking in. She agreed, and I paid her with cash upon my arrival. The following Saturday morning, I checked out and checked my bank account the following Sunday. To my surprise, the hotel had charged me again for parking. When I called them and informed them that I had already paid for the parking in cash, they informed me that their employee had not recorded the payment in their system. As a result, they were investigating the situation. I am currently waiting for a refund, but I am deeply disappointed with this experience.

    The room itself was a bit tired but the very friendly staff and good food at the restaurant made up for it. We would stay here again. (we go to Houston for cancer treatment and sometimes require a long stay. The fully equipped kitchen is wonderful and walks in the nearby Galleria Mall are a welcome distraction)

    The location remains excellent, but I was extremely disappointed to find a cockroach in my bathroom. I reported the issue to the front desk and the manager; however, aside from removing the insect, there was neither an apology nor any further response. As a loyal Hilton customer, I found this experience both surprising and very disappointing.

    I had a good experience at the hotel, which was within walking distance to the Galleria. However, I parked my car in the small market area and it was towed almost immediately. The valet area was congested with a lot of cars, and I couldn't access the parking area. As a result, I decided to park in the plaza by the restaurants next door. Do not park your car outside the hotel. Had to pay 300 after it was towed to get my rental back.

    The entire staff was amazing, helpful and friendly. My room was upgraded complimentary for unknown reasons and i had no complaint. I was disappointed that the breakfast wasn't included and was very pricey which i knew prior to booking but most double trees offer it. I also didn't like the paying for parking which i also knew prior to booking however Juan was able to discount it for me the hotel is a little dated but very clean . I enjoyed my stay overall

    The staff here was amazing the supervisor i believe his name was Christopher he was amazing i had couple minor things happen but the service from this staff was all worth it. I love it at this hotel. Shout out to the staff

    The line to check in was interminably long. When I reached the front past the 4pm checkin time they told me the room was NOT ready and that they would call me. They called me but I was at my convention. When I came back the line was even longer. The sink and stone counter had a huge crack running all the way through it.

    Overall, my room and stay were good and comfortable. The one subpar experience was paying $27 for a very mediocre breakfast buffet. But the hotel is situated in a place walking distance to many excellent restaurants and shops.
