Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Guests appreciate the convenient location, particularly its proximity to the convention center. However, some guests have experienced issues with the TVs in their rooms and the size of the rooms and beds. Parking can also be a challenge, with some guests expressing dissatisfaction with the valet service and parking fees.

Asked the valets for directions but they acted like they couldn't even be bothered to answer - very rude and lazy, otherwise everything was great, had some tv trouble and maintenance came quickly and fixed it, gym is great, location is good

location We request to do our beds and clean the room, but they just empty the trash can. I notified the power outlet of the bathroom was not working, they didn't fix it. The front desk girl was rude, no customer relations experience at all.

- 1/5
The hotel is very dated. We requested a microwave and it stopped working a couple times. The water to the toilet just would run and run until you went to jiggle the handle and there was a beep that went off all night long. It was very high pitched and the only thing we could figure was it had something to do with the air being turned on in the room. I would never stay here again the pictures they put online had to have been Photoshopped.
- 5/5
The staff was helpful and kind. The property does show its age at times but it is maintained and kept clean. The valet staff is always top notch and respectful. Today it was raining upon check out and the staff escorted myself and my things to my vehicle with an umbrella to keep everything dry.

Club Room was terribly small so the pictures were a little misleading. No fridge and the bathroom ceiling had black marks which we couldn’t tell if its just dirt or mold. Stayed for one night but wouldn’t stay there for longer unless we upgraded to a bigger room.
- 4/5
The check in process was electronic. The help desk attendant at night, must have been ready to leave. The morning attendant was very helpful. I liked liked that the room was cozy. The breakfast was delicious. I didn't like the additional $50 placed on my card for incidents. The shower spewed water all over the bathroom floor. A microwave and refrigerator would have been nice.
- 4/5
Excellent location, pleasant staff, room was clean, bed was comfortable. Corridor carpets seriously needed vacuuming, don’t think they were during my five night stay. Room wasn’t serviced a couple of days, not a big deal but on vacation ya wanna be pampered.
- 5/5
I booked my stay on Hotels.com and there was a registration mix-up somehow. The hotel did not receive the booking from the company. However, the hotel staff was amazing and got me set up in a nice room. All amenities were great! I would 100% recommend!
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
The room was very small. Another hotel trying to squeeze as many rooms into the hotel as possible. I made at note on my reservation for a large room because of my handicap scooter. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and this was the smallest room I’ve been given, even with the note I made.

Professional. Quick to respond requests. Very professional. 5 star hotels could learn from these people. Staying for an additional day was tedious. You couldn't just call down and add a day. You had to go online and actually book for that additional night. You could request to stay in the same room on the resv. I ended going down to concierge desk to make sure I would not be assigned a different room.

I loved my week long stay at Club Quarters in downtown Houston. Sadly the awesome coffee machine in the lobby was broken for 6 of the days of my stay. The lobby was lovely and inviting. My room had a little kitchenette and was very comfortable. The location was great and the in house restaurant was excellent. I thought CQ was a great value and I will definitely stay here again!

I entered the hotel, and I was greeted warmly and quickly checked in at a kiosk. The process was smooth and efficient. My room was small but clean and charming. However, my view was not ideal, as I had a half window on the second floor, right above the hotel entrance. The valet attendant didn’t seem very enthusiastic about his job and was on the phone while attempting to assist with the valet service. I should have requested a room on a higher floor.

Staff was great. Nice, very friendly and helpful. The room was the size of a cruise cabin. It felt so small. The view from the inside out was awful. There was just another brick wall to look at. The room had no safe, no microwave or refrigerator. There was no ice machine around. The closet and bathroom were very very small. It felt like a cruise cabin bathroom. There was barely enough room to turn around. The bed was very hard but the pillows were great. Our bed was not made when we returned later on. We stayed two days and couldn’t wait to leave. Oh and the parking is valet at $45.00 a night. We asked to self park but they said it would cost more. Plus we had to pay an additional $100.00 deposit after the room had already been paid for. They said it would be refunded after checkout. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It looks good coming in and online but in reality it is definitely a rip off. Do not waste your time or your money. This trip that was supposed to be a mini vacation turned out vial because of this hotel experience.

The rooms were cozy just a little small. Rooms were very small, the location is a little hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area and the breakfast was horrible and cold.

I usually stay at this place during my visit. Check in and check out is done contact less. It is quick and easy. I like their coffe.and water bar in the lobby. This place is in a good location and it suits what I need.

In town for a concert at House of Blues, which was within walking distance from Club Quarters hotel. Drinks and food on-sight was very convenient. Also, very delicious! We visited the Discovery Green (also within walking distance) where we were able to look at sculptures, have snacks, and take command of an electric boat to take a short cruise. Just the other side of the floating deck one could enjoy doing battle in a bumper boat. Excellent concert, excellent food and activities, tied together nicely with an excellent hotel stay!! Highly recommend Club Quarters Hotel, Downtown Houston for business or pleasure!! Wish they had a hot tub, or hot tub rooms.

The location is great. Our floor was being painted but this didn’t interrupt the stay. My only issue is the air conditioner. It’s an old central AC system with 3 options: off, extremely loud, and very loud. It is also aimed directly at the bed. Barely slept. If you can “sleep through anything”, then you’re fine. Reconsider if you’re a light sleeper.

Location and cleanliness First room smelled like smoke but was moved to another room. The second room was much better but the toilet was running and water leaking. I did not request to be moved, toilet still is worked. I did tell front desk at check out. Service at restaurant not good I placed an online for one item spinach dip and it took 40 minutes. I never received an update on my order so I went down to check on it at 9:40 and still had to wait another 5 minutes. Restaurant was closing at 10,not sure why it took so long for a small dip.
- 4.5/5
The hotel room was very clean, had all the necessities, and was at an affordable rate in the downtown area that was very walkable to downtown attractions. Everything met my expectations. The only improvement I would have liked is a larger restroom. But, for the value and the positive attributes it was definitely worth it.

Centrally located and Table 7 restaurant at permises, thank God, otherwise i never saw conrinental breakfast as they said from hotel. Carpet felt humid as i walked bare foot. After getting back at night from event there was a mildewy smell in the room. My guess, they tried to clean it and let it too wet. Shower was old and cracked at the baseline fixed badly with caulking, wood furnirure old and scraped. Worse was the smell in the room.

Unique ipad self checkin with you creating your own room key. Rooms are tiny but bed was comfy and room was clean. I opted for add on breakfast and portion and presentation were worth the extra 12 dollars. Keep in mind there is no fridge in room. Air-conditioning works really well. Hall and room carpets are getting close to due time for replacement. Down stairs waiting area and Bistro were very stunning. Morning front clerk, she was super friendly and helpful. Evening clerk had a very dry and tone as if you were bothering her. Bistro gentlemen was polite but not friendly at all. Offsite parking is available, vallet for 50 a night is an option which does comes out of the 50 incidental hold if used. Overall I would recommend the property for a short down town experience.

- 2/5
I picked this hotel because it was cost-effective, but also had great reviews, and I cannot figure out where those great reviews came from. The fixtures in the rooms are very old… The shower grates are gross, there was rust on the bathroom door frame, and tiny fruit flies in the room. The furniture looks like the same furniture you find in a state run nursing home facility. If I was staying more than a single night. I would’ve switched hotels.

It was close to the event we were attending. The bed was very uncomfortable and you could see the indent of where prior guest slept. It was sunken in. The WiFi did not work and no instructions in the room on how to connect. We had to call the front desk.

We stayed here to attend some Astros games. It was great location for walking to and from the game. They don't have parking at the hotel itself besides vallet. They direct you to the parking garage across the street which charges $30 a day. There is a great place at the corner called The Fin which has several restaurants inside. Great options to choose from if you need a place to get food. Hotel itself was nice. Rooms are very basic. No fridge in the room fyi. Bed was comfy but the shower needed better water pressure. Overall it was good and I would stay here again for a game.

Location is great. So central to metro transport. Caught Metro 500 from IAH and 2nd stop is right on corner of Rusk & Fannin where hotel is located. Plus good restaurants within walking distance. Hotel restaurant good value and breakfast package set us up for a day of exploring. Bathroom issues initially. But sorted quickly.

Amazing! Everything was perfect.

- 4/5
While the room was definitely on the small side, there was just two of us, so it was perfect. Bed was ok, a little harder than I am used to, but we were up and out the door early every morning. The hotel was beautiful, the architecture so cool and interesting. We got take out from the restaurant and ate in our room one night (we were so tired!) and it was very tasty. Valet parking pickup was quick. Would definitely recommend.

You can tell it’s a “historic” hotel. Don’t expect to be wowed by the ambiance. The Lobby is nice, but the rooms leave you wanting.

- 4/5
Hotel is in a good location. The building is definitely dated. It is obvious they try to maintain it the best they can. The only complaint was the smell perhaps due to the pet policy. However, for the price it was tolerable.

I had a really great stay at Club Quarters Hotel in Houston. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and had a nice cozy feel that made it easy to relax. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the overall experience was amazing. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay in Houston.
- 5/5
Great stay in a good location. Room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only negative is the Wi-Fi is spotty at best.
- 4/5
Generally, I enjoyed the hotel. It was clean and centrally located. My only complaints are that the rooms are on the small side, and the rooms do not have a mini fridge.
- 5/5
Club Quarters is hands down the best
- 4/5
Everything was great except the fact there was no microwave or mini refrigerator to keep leftover and the microwave to heat it. I wasted a lot of money on food because I had leave (basically wasting food) large portions of food from the surrounding restaurants (with are not cheap). So when I got hungry later I basically either had to drive around a city I’m not familiar with to find something to eat instead of just providing the room with a simple microwave and mini fridge. The cheapest hotel at least has that but a hotel where a 2 day stay was $350 did not.
- 5/5
the room was clean upon entering. staff was attentive and friendly. if you do park there be prepared to walk just a little bit from the parking lot to the hotel which is across the street. the room itself was much smaller in the picture but i didn’t mind since i was solo traveling. also the pillows that they have are the most comfortable pillows i have ever slept on.
- 5/5

When arrived and tried to check in but they didn't have a reservation for us they told us expedia didn't make reservation for us but the receptionist helped us and got a room for us for the same rate as Expedia rate which was awesome. We were disappointed and upset that expedia didn't reserve room for us.

I really loved my stay at Club Quarters. First off, the staff was real friendly. I also loved the location of the hotel. The only thing I didn't like is that there was no fridge or microwave in the room. Other than that, I loved my experience and will definitely stay here again will I come back to Houston

Welcoming staff, quick check-in, lovely lobby, separate elevator for upper floors, high quality bath products, high quality coffee, comfortable mattresses
- 4/5
The rooms are small but effective. Does not seem like a four-star hotel. Virtually no staff all check in at a terminal where you make your own keys. Bizarre but it works.

- 3/5
The staff and the location were great! There was a lingering smell from the old carpet. The carpet itself felt dated and had an odor, which made the room feel less fresh than it should have.
- 4/5
The staff were very nice. They actually had conversations with the guest and were welcoming. The breakfast in the restaurant was horrible. I had chicken and waffles with gravy. It was nasty. The coffee was overpriced $5 for a cup of black coffee is ridiculous. The hotel's coffee machine was down and I refused to purchase coffee in the restaurant. I walked a mile to the convention center to get free coffee there. I'd definitely go back but I'd avoid their restaurant. They look like an older hotel that attempted to update itself. The rooms are small and more attention to detail needs to be paid with the pillowcases and sheets.
- 4/5
Overall, it was good, but the flush valve was broken and there was no trash bag in the garbage can. Aside from that, everything was fine. The space was a bit tight, but I didn’t mind since I only stayed for one night.
- 1/5
I booked single queen bed but received two twin The smell of the room was not good

- 5/5
Good location
- 4/5
Close to downtown
- 2/5
The room was a letdown: old, worn furniture, scuffed walls that need repainting, and an extremely small shower. The room itself is also extremely small. The bed fills most of the space and walking through is a challenge. Location is good, but skip the attached restaurant. It wasn't clean and was clearly understaffed. I won't be booking again. There are much better hotels nearby at comparable prices.
- 5/5
Yes excellent service

- 4/5
I called the front desk, and I have to give them credit—they were incredibly professional. A maintenance technician arrived at our door in less than 10 minutes. He was polite, wore shoe covers to keep the room clean, and had the issue resolved in about five minutes. Aside from that initial hiccup, the room was spotless, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city.
- 5/5
I loved the elevator and I’m usually scared of elevators, but there’s beautiful
- 4/5
- 2/5
The property itself is beautiful. The hotel is very nice and the amenities are what attracted me initially. The person working at the front desk on my night stay was very rude not hospitable at all, unfriendly wasn't inviting. She rushed us not allowing us to enjoy the whole experience. Because we have never been to that hotel we asked what floor our room was. She seemed annoyed asked her about any of the amenities she either ignored us or again was annoyed didn't inform us of using the key card for the elevator which we figured out on our own it was just a bad experience. She was not friendly. She should not be working in the front with guests. When you have a bad experience like that, it just removes the warm and relaxing feeling you should have when you're a guest visiting the area.

Clean, comfortable hotel right in the heart of downtown. Easy walk to Daikin Park, the Convention Center, the Downtown Aquarium, and the theater district. Steps from the Metro red line to go to the Museum District, the Houston Zoo, and the NRG Stadium and Center. Beautiful hotel in an older but renovated building. This hotel is an excellent value and I would definitely stay here again. Great restaurant and other amenities such as a fitness room and laundry facilities. The staff are fabulous, very friendly and helpful. There is no airport shuttle, but the Local 102 bus stops two blocks away to go to and from IAH. There is no pool but that wasn’t important for me. Highly recommend.
- 1/5
It would be great if they had parking.
- 4/5
There are no mini fridges in the rooms, that was very disappointing when we wantes to save some leftover food but couldn't. The check process was a bid odd and time consuming with having to donit on the tablet and it didn't work the forst time and it made me re-enter all my info. But for the price it was a great place to stay and close to our venue.
- 5/5
Convenient and clean
- 2/5
First parking. It’s non existent and did this is downtown. And you’ll have to pay 45 for valet or 28 park yourself 2 blocks away. They should include that on description of hotel. Second and worst, noise, lots of noise in the room. Think when someone flushes and the tank fills up there’s a noise of water going thru pipes every 2-3 minutes it’s loud and it was on all day and night it prevented me and my family from sleeping all night. It’s super annoying so if you want a peaceful room stay elsewhere

Clean room and nice upscale coffee in room and common areas
- 4/5
Smaller room than expected. But was good for the price.
- 5/5
Area was awesome and near so much food! We walked around and found many good places! Two grocery stores if needed and a couple convenient stores so a little of everything. Filtered water was just right outside in the hallway and ice was downstairs. Really good fitness center as well. Dumbbells only went up to 50 lbs each, but a good smith machine and cable machine with pull up bar.
- 4/5
Good hotel enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Great location, friendly attentive staff.
- 3/5
Booked for a queen size room, and it felt like a full size. Bed was decent in terms of comfort. Room size and bathroom size was on the small size. Could have been a little bigger for 2 people. More tolerable for maybe just one person. Breakfast was not the best. There was no clarity on the fact that when you add breakfast to the reservation, there’s a different menu provided. It was a self seated bistro. There were 2 servers walking around and tending the bar, and the server my partner and I got was not very attentive. We noticed the other server had to make sure she attended to us and got our orders. We asked to not have certain things to our order and it was completely disregarded and not checked back with to make sure everything was correct. She dropped off our food and stayed away from us until we flagged her down. Besides our breakfast experience, everything else was great. Also want to complement the valet staff on doing great on hospitality and taking care of my vehicle.

I enjoyed my stay!
- 5/5
A hotel with an excellent location, affordable rates, exceptional cleanliness, and delicious food. The staff is friendly—and most importantly, I arrived two hours before check-in time and was able to access my room without any issues. They also offer all kinds of coffee, milk, and water free of charge in the lobby. I am very satisfied. Thank you.
- 3/5
On the positive side, the staff is really friendly.
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
10/10 would definitely book again
- 3/5
The room was very basic, seemed pretty old and small. Has not been updated recently. There was a stain on the carpet. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Generally just needs to be updated, everything seemed old.
- 5/5
Great location for our trip to see an Astros game. Plenty of options to eat/drink in the very close area. Everything about the room was wonderful. Front desk staff was engaging and awesome. Thanks for a great stay.

Great price for a small boutique hotel in downtown Houston. Will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
great room! and clean!
- 3/5
Nice hotel. Small bathrooms and sq footage is strangely different depending on what side of the building the room is on. Onsite restaurant is limited - more suited for a quick bite not a meal. Valet parking overpriced considering there are 2 garages nearby. Self check in isn’t actually self check in because staff still has to cut a room key. The water stations in the hallway are gross. The water isn’t well filtered at all. All the staff is friendly and accommodating. Not a place to stay at a tourist. Decent place if you’re in town for work.
- 5/5
Quick check-in. Clean room.
- 5/5

- 3/5
Old and tired building. Staff not very friendly. Self check in-out not very convenient and in the end required staff assistance.

- 4/5
Nice, beautiful hotel
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel stay.
- 3/5
However, the room felt extremely small for it being a King Size bed room. The bathroom was just a few feet from the edge of the bed, and the space felt much tighter than other places I’ve stayed. The valet was convenient at times, but we had to circle the block three times at one point because there was no space available, and traffic in the area is pretty heavy. Overall, great staff and good location, but the room size and valet situation made it an average stay for me. Three stars.

Great staff! Only issue was the slow elevator
- 5/5
Clean, practical rooms. Quick check in and check out.
- 5/5
Very helpful, however they need more heat in the lobby for their workers and need to fix the second elevator because it took to long to get to your room

Houston shut down due to an impending ice/snow storm. Travel advisory was issued and concert canceled. Hotel was unwilling to reschedule dates even with a 72 hour plus notice. Even Expedia tried contacting them for help in the matter considering safety concerns and they refused.

In our first room, the toilet didn’t work at all. That room was actually nicer and had a fridge and microwave. We were switched to a second room due to the toilet issue, but that room didn’t have a fridge or microwave. The toilet worked in the second room, but the bathroom vent was not working. For the price we paid, I was disappointed with the overall experience despite the great location.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The furniture in the room was a little hit or miss. Stayed in a room with a sofa, the first room did not have a sofa, the second room had a slightly leaky sink. The staff moved me no problem. The sheets were wonderful and the coffee machine was great. Love the fact that they had a workout facility. The mattress was a little saggy, but the shower was hot and the restrooms were clean. I would stay again.

Overall a good stay. No complaints but also nothing that make me say, I want to stay I want to stay there again.
- 4/5
Staff was professional and patient. There is an automated checkin across from the front desk that is designed for automatic checkin. Room was a bit small but comfortable, I was only spending one night for the Houston marathon. There is a valet service but I parked in the garage across the street.
- 3/5
The hotel room wasn’t properly cleaned before i arrived. There were crumbs on the floor and the shower still had soap residue from the previous guest. The finishes were also scratched up and the several towels had stains.
- 4/5
There is no continental breakfast included in your stay, nor a vending machine / store in the hotel to purchase a light breakfast. Rooms are clean and quiet.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 4/5
It’s a nice hotel check-in was great super easy fast getting used to the key card to ride the elevator. Something new but I appreciate it. Additional securities is always good. Bed a little less to say the least it’s kind of like a hammock in the middle of the bed.
- 4/5
Staff were nice and room was decent. Only complaint is we asked for a fridge and got one that wasn't working
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The room was clean, cozy, and even had a small kitchenette with pots, plates, and cutlery — really handy for quick meals. The bathroom was spotless and had all the essentials. The staff and housekeeping team were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Shoutout to our housekeeper -Yarely!! We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Houston!
- 3/5
Location is convenient. Complimentary water and coffee are very nice However when we entered the room, we noticed the smoke detector was opened with all the wires came out, then find a dirty mark on the bed sheet, the bathroom ventilation doesn't work, so room smells when moist accumulated. But the worst part, the shampoo bottle is mixed with water and the conditioner was spoil, that's is disgusting.

My stay in Houston in club Quaters hotel was really great, the bed was really good and clean. The only problem I faced was the bathroom got locked at 7:30 in the morning and I waited till 10 to be opened and that was the horrible experience to wait and miss my meeting but over all it was nice.
- 5/5
The staff was very courteous, the rooms nice and spotless, I highly recommend this hotel.

I travel to Houston several times in a year. First time staying at Club Quarters Hotel and it may be the best stay for an excellent price. Great service from hotel staff as well as valet, they took really good care of me. Nice view of downtown Houston, perfect spot, not far from restaurants or entertainment spots, close to the interstate. Excellent menu and room service. I will stay again...
- 5/5
Great stay. Clean room and great staff
- 5/5
I love staying at this place this was my third time staying.
- 3/5
Rooms were pretty small but clean
- 2/5
It was a terrible exit to a good trip. Exiting guests should not be treated inhospitable. It tends to generalize the whole stay negatively. I will not return to what was becoming my favorite place to stay!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing at answering all questions! Dining options near by were great and very convenient to what we had planned
- 5/5
Great location. Very nice people. I highly recommend it

- 5/5
Excellent 👌
- 3/5
I didn't know you had to request for a microwave and refrigerator to be put in your room. That was a turnoff for me. I shouldn't have to request for body wash. Room attendant should have already made sure there was a new bottle in there. There was an empty bottle in the bathroom. Cable channel didn't even all local network channels. I missed a few football games because of this. I had to visit a bar. It's a clean average outdated hotel that needs to be modernized. There are better options in the downtown Houston area.
- 5/5
Very good location, the complementary coffe machine in the lobby was very nice. The room is clean and convenient

Excellent stay! The hotel was decorated elegantly for the holidays and I was offered a room upgrade due to an issue with the kiosk saying the room was not ready even though it was after 3 pm which is check in time. The Rusk rooms were very accommodating and spacious. I especially enjoyed the view of Daikin Park. It was a lovely stay!

- 3/5
Parking was inconvenient between the construction around the hotel and the parking garage being a block away and having to tote luggage. The check in kiosk wouldn't pull the reservation and the staff having to check us in seemed annoyed. One elevator was out of order, so the hotel was operating with one working elevator which made things very slow. The room was smaller than anticipated but it was clean. The bed was comfortable. All in all was OK for a one night stay.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience great staff
- 5/5
Great place, I really like it. Especially bed and location.
- 3/5
I was expecting to see a welcoming face from the front desk when checking in but only got a coach giving instructions. No smiles from the staff checking in and checking out, the room was right across the elevator and there is only one elevator working so I can hear people busy coming and going all night long. Other than that it’s ok.
- 5/5
Broken elevator was a slight frustration but overall, i liked the property.
- 1/5
Main hotel entrance and valet access was on a road that was COMPLETELY gutted and under major construction, horrible traffic and not safe, despite the fact that they could have easily moved to the cross street away from all that, we had to valet for 50$ a night, watched them drive across the same open street to park us in a 17.00 a day parking structure. No help with kiosk check in. One working elevator for 9 floors and no guidance to the very confusing stairwell location. Room was covered in dust, tv never worked, the noise was so bad we could hear every time another guest flushed their toilet, no hot water or refrigerator or locking safe. Never once saw maintenance for the elevator during peak holiday season. Definitely got our brand new car back with dings and scratches. 0/10 absolutely not worth trying and far from worth their ‘luxury’ price point. The only positive thing about this place was the complimentary water stations on every floor and the Christmas decorations were nice. We maybe saw two employees from Friday to Sunday… never got any answers when calling the desk.
- 5/5
Cute room, great staff at the restaurant, enjoyed a couple of the amenities.

The room is small but very nice. You had the choice when arriving to do a self check in or wait at the desk. The self check in was very easy and quick. I had breakfast included in my room and they slipped breakfast coupon under the door in the morning. A great feature is check out is 12.
- 5/5
Travis was very nice & helpful from the time he helps to check in & even when we checked out. All the other staff members were very attentive in all our needs as well. We had no complaints. I will be coming back
- 1/5
I ve done this one before
- 1/5
As soon as we checked in they sent us to a room that had not be cleaned yet so we had to go back downstairs to get assigned another room. Upon getting to the new room the tv did not work, I called downstairs and no one came until 3 am in the morning. Terrible experience
- 4/5
Good choice for price.
- 5/5
Rooms were great and the staff was absolutely amazing.
- 5/5
Thanks! The room was spotless, the staff was super welcoming, and the amenities were really convenient. Overall, it made for a great stay!
- 4/5
Room was clean, wish they could have explained the parking in more detail but it was a nice stay

- 4/5
It was very dated, the pictures really did not describe the rooms properly although the lobby area was beautiful and historic. The rooms were very, very small and boring.
- 4/5
For its age, this is a nice property and the hotel staff is very friendly. If you have activities to attend in downtown, it is very convenient and that was the primary criterion for my selection. If the property remains price-competitive, I will very likely stay here again.

Toilet wouldn’t flush. Went back down soon as got to room, asked for a different one, lady at desk instead sent someone to “fix” it. Someone came to room while I was taking Zoom work calls, “fixed”. Grabbed lunch and came back, still didn’t flush. small little flies / nats maybe were also on wall. Breakfast at the front cafe downstairs was also mediocre. selected hotel just to come in to see a game, short walk. Will not stay here again. Everyone was nice however.

The photos looked better than the hotel actually is

The room had blood on the chair and in the bathroom and there was hair in the restroom. One towel had obvious old blood stain. The rest of the hotel an amenities were very nice. They just need to do clean and dust room 527
- 5/5
The room was very clean. The staff was outstanding!
- 3/5
The hotel was pretty nice. For a hotel downtown it had nice ambiance. The room was extra small but clean. My wife and I stayed for a night for some alone time. The only problem we had was the tv. The remote control didn’t work. We could only watch one channel and couldn’t adjust the volume. The breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Wonderful spot, cute little vibes! Loved the lobby, the staff was amazing and if you’re looking for an affordable spot in the mix this is it
- 3/5
Staff are extremely unhelpful.
- 2/5
I booked a twin double bed room and when I checked in they told me the don’t have availability. Instead they gave me a regular standard with one standard queen bed. The room was musty, we didn’t get any room cleaning service throughout our stay, if we wanted to shower in hot water we had to wait about 15 mins for the heater to kick in. I’ve been in motels that were in better shape honestly. At least the front office staff were always kind and courteous. But it’s not a place I would reccomend to any of my friends or family.
- 5/5
Friedly stuff nice room comfortable bed great location
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were nice and friendly. Would certainly stay here again.
- 5/5
Arrived to my clean room with everything i needed. staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
CQ bills itself as “only the things you need,” and that’s true. It’s minimalist but refined with a quality gym with treadmills, bikes, kettlebells, yoga mats, fixed equipment for weight lifting, and the space is kept cold. I had great workouts there. It’s downtown and walkable to anything in area including Buffalo Bayou Park, so that’s great. Street parking nearby and several garages with overnight available.

easy, clean and approximate to my project. however there was a ringing from next door that did not get resolved and made it a bit unfortunate sleeping wise as it went through the whole night.
- 5/5
easy, clean and accessible.
- 4/5
I hair the suite with kitchenette and it was cute. I had a set up for my boyfriend’s birthday and it worked. Key tips self parking is $30 per night but if you leave in and out you pay $30 each time. If you valet is $45
- 5/5
Very courteous and excellent staff, valet, room service. Very comfortable and clean room. Beautiful hotel and amazing price. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.
- 4/5
Clean room, staff very pleasant and helpful and patient. Room spacious, and kitchenette had everything I needed. Would definitely come back.
- 2/5
Staff can be a little friendlier. The lights in our room wasn’t working, they didn’t do anything to accommodate us or make the situation better. When I addressed the issue, it was like “Who cares!” Basically. They never greet when you walk in (maybe because I addressed a few things). But over all the staff & amenities could’ve been better.

I only stayed one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze. The room was clean! Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Check in was easy as always
- 3/5
i got into the room and the bed was fine but it seemed like they didn’t clean the floors because there were clothing tags from the previous guest i guess, and the shampoo and conditioner bottle were nearly empty.
- 4/5
Great affordable stay, the only thing was that I was unclear about how daily housekeeping worked. They were always trying to come in even when I had a do not disturb sign on the door, and on the mornings when I wasn't there and there was no dnd sign, I thought I'd come back to fresh bedding but it didn't happen once during my entire stay. It could be because of a misunderstanding on my part, but it was a bit confusing.

Room was extremely smaller than what we were expecting and felt dirty

Staff was attentive and accommodating. Room was easy to find and clean. Check out was simple.

The first night was fine. But the last night we could not sleep, as we where were awakened five separate times with screaming and fussing from a room across the hallway from our room. Along with apparently some fighting that was done in the hallway.

Nice cozy room. Staff was friendly. Great coffee/espresso machine in the lobby. Located near public transportation and restaurants.

We were there Friday to Monday and the room didn’t get cleaned, sheets changed, trash taken out, towels replaced or anything until Sunday when we went and complained. And even then when they came to the room the lady had an attitude and she only replaced the towels .
- 4/5
It was a little strange! You pretty much do everything yourself, there is no service, other than someone will open the door for you. I had to make a phone call after 3 nights to get clean towels!

The room was clean and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable. I really enjoyed the water bottle refill station and the guest closet with toiletries! Everyone I encountered was kind (even late at night in the elevator). Perfect location downtown - Not far from anything especially the rail. Will stay again if I’m ever in Houston. *Did NOT enjoy braised pasta at restaurant located in hotel. Do NOT recommend. Did not try breakfast so cannot speak on that.*

Stay was great, check in was very easy and it was in a great location
- 3/5
Our stay was great. However, as we were checking out, there was an individual with a problem about his bill. The African-American man that was there helping him was very rude, cursing and yelling and threatening the customer. This customer was of. A different culture and country, and did not understand what the lady was trying to tell him. The African-American man who was working at the desk, stepped in and was causing more problems than helping, even though the female at the desk was trying to quietly advise the customer. This was very unprofessional on the African-American man’s part. It really left a bad taste in my mouth. Otherwise our stay was very nice.
- 2/5
The air conditioning did not work in my room it was so hot
- 1/5
Front office was so dismissive. Not welcoming or inviting. Kinda started the trip off on a bad note.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay at the Club Quarters Hotel! I was also appreciative of the nominal fee for my sweet upgrade from Expedia. However,Disappointing was the overnight parking rate! It was double that of what was quoted by Expedia! Of course this put stress on my budget! Other than that, it was a good stay!
- 3/5
The coffe pot in the room was unplugged as was the fridge. Then we couldnt FIND a plug. The coffe was awful and not enough supplies. We took 3 items from the stocked snacks and ALL 3 items were stale. Staff seemed overwhwlmwd. I liked the area because it was easy to access ANYTHING. It is an average rating for an average experience. They did not have breakfast when i stayed and we got uo for it. Nothing was out.
- 5/5
I loved this hotel in downtown Houston. It had such a nice vibe. It was beautiful and clean and welcoming. The staff were extremely responsive to my requests and very attentive. My room was extremely comfortable and quiet. If I get to Houston again, this is where I will stay.
- 4/5
Very nice place. Nice lobby. Parking garages all around. Valet is $45 a night. Nope. Parking garage for overnight is only $15. I walked everywhere. Room didn't have a fridge. Only bad thing. Maybe if I upgraded to a more expensive room. I got the cheap room. Over all I'd recommend. Nice place for a budget price.
- 4/5
Nice hotel and centrally located to walk to many of the downtown restaurants and activities

Staff overall friendly. They tend to share different information with different people such as direction to the rooms are not shared with all guests.
- 5/5
Love the setup, community, building details, location, basement gym was niceee!! Coffee on demand, and water. Greatttt staff & valett!!!
- 5/5
Rooms can be small but very nice and clean. Free use of washers and drivers with soap provided. Free bottled water and free elite coffee machine in lobby. Vending machine items are priced realistic. Staff inside and at Valet stand amazing to help ANYTIME with ANYTHING.
- 5/5
Really comfortable bed and pillows. The whole property is very clean. The staff is lovely and no request was a problem. I will stay again.
- 2/5
I had no hot water for a shower or teeth brushing the two days I stayed. The restaurant off the lobby was locked, a key card lock on the inside to leave the morning I wanted to eat there. A cute little eatery around the corner was great. The homeless came out in the evening, but the area seemed safe
- 3/5

Worst hotel. Stayed one night and had to move to a different hotel, DIRTY and GROSS!!!!

Loved my stay 5 stars

The room was very nice..somewhat small excellent staff & amenities. Highly recommend

Dirty. Smaller rooms than pictured

The carpet was stained. The air vent would shake when making so much noise it was hard to sleep. Ou room was close to the elevators which was also noisy.

Clean rooms equipped with refrigerator and microwave

Lovely place to STAY’nm

The room had all the amenities I needed and was very comfortable. The hotel is also conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants, which made it easy to find a place to eat. I was especially happy that I could check in early by paying a small extra fee — I really wish more hotels offered this option! Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend Head Quarters to others.

Very convenient. Nice staff, good room

Clean, nice hotel room and close to everywhere we needed to go. Also great value, I’d definitely stay again the next time I’m in town.

Very clean and the coffee was great.

Nice property, management of the flow of everything could be better. The young lady who worked the night I checked in was AWESOME. I wished everyone was like her.

I thought this would be a good hotel but the bed was itchy and there was cockroaches around the vending machine down stairs, the water dispenser was super warm and didn't taste like the filter has been cleaned. over all not great but the service was nice the staff were friendly but that's about it.

decent

room was clean but had a funky odor we eventually got used to, front desk staff was helpful but not very approachable, valet staff was rude and distracted, there is no free parking and expect a delay in receiving your deposit back. breakfast package was our favorite as they offer any item off a specialized menu.
- 3/5
The bathroom had hairs upon arrival, desk chair was dirty, and furniture a bit dusty. Staff was approachable and helpful. Not a lot variety of places to eat and if so there was no where to store your food for later not a microwave. However the room did have essential amenities.

I have stayed here multiple times, however this time the service was not the greatest i. The cafe ordered food never came. Was not a good reaponse from the lady so I spoke with the Ma ager amd he gave me a refund for inconvenience. Great service on that end to resolve

Very convenient and easy in and out .

We always stay here whenever we travel to Houston for an Astros game, not only is it walking distance to the stadium but the rooms are the perfect size for a couple, the staff has always been outstanding, we had an issue with our room having an unusual odor to it and they handled it quickly. This is our go to place anytime we come into town.

Great property at a great rate. My new “go to” hotel for business downtown. Easy walk (6 blocks?) to the George Brown Convention Center.

Nice upgrade

The hot water to my room did not work. I thought the first morning was a fluke, but then the next morning was even worse. Also, they did not have a free parking garage. They charged 34.00 a night as well as having to pay a 100 deposit. This needs to be communicated to your visitors.

Loved the amenities and cleanliness of the property.

Everything was great but y'all just need to refile the guess closet

Very Nice for Business trip and short trips to the city. Excellent Gym facility. Nice coffee machine on the room and lobby. Sit on the center of Downtown area. Near the train, and walkable for many companies

very clean

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here and I’ve overall enjoyed my stay both times. The valet guys are the hardest working guys up front…the cleanliness could be better as we had a few stained sheets and they don’t switch your sheets and make your bed daily. The tall gentlemen with no hair up at the front desk was rude to me as I didn’t know how to find access to my hotel floor. It was hidden and not accessible with the normal elevator. The gentlemen made a rude remark and said “you’ve stayed here before you should know, it says on the wall right there”. Outside that remark from an employee and some small cleanliness issues the hotel is great!

Location was amazing. Very clean.

In the room, multiple surfaces felt sticky, which didn’t inspire confidence about cleanliness. I support eco-friendly policies, but during a multi-night stay even basics like emptying the trash or making the bed weren’t done. If services are being reduced for sustainability, please be transparent and offer an opt-in refresh. As it stands, it feels more like cost-cutting than “green.”

We stayed here for an event at Daikin stadium and the walk wasn’t bad at all. It was me and my 2 young children and I felt safe while at the property.
- 5/5
It was a last minute decision but check-in was a breeze. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice stay for a night.
- 5/5
Clean room/walking distance to events and restaurants

Wish the elevator was a bit faster but wait time wasn’t that bad, but when there was a crowd of people, wait time was about 5mins so not too bad. Valet parking is $36, garage across the street is $20. Valet needs more personnel as only two guys were working and it took about 30 minutes to bring the car. Now you do text when ready to have your car brought and they notify you when car is ready so that was nice. All in all the hotel is clean and hotel staff was attentive to everyone’s needs

It was good.

Include microwaves in rooms automatically

But the main issue I had was they although the sink had hot water - the shower wasn’t even warm. Maybe they would have moved me it something but it was only one night and I needed to get to work.
- 5/5
Very pleasant experience from check in to check out. Will definitely stay here again.

Don't want to share.

The tv didn’t work when we got there but maintenance came to fix it. The breakfast is expensive but sooooo good! My main problem is that I was unaware I would have to pay 30 dollars for parking after the cost of the room just for one night. There is also no mini fridge in the club rooms. Staff was very friendly.

Place is great. Just homeless around the corners ; staff does great keeping from being hassled in front of the doors
- 5/5
Loved our stay, easy access to food options and stadium
