The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and courteous. The valet staff were very courteous and very quick at retrieving the car when needed. The front desk staff were helpful at answering questions we had. We didn't get the chance to try the breakfast because we slept in, but the coffee was good.

There were a few downsides though. Parking is expensive, and when we checked in we were initially given a room that hadn’t been serviced, but the front desk quickly fixed it and reassigned us a new one. The fitness center was also closed for renovations, which would have been good to know ahead of time. There was also a lingering smell of marijuana in the elevator and hallway at times

I loved staff. They were very polite and helpful during our stay. I didn’t like being in a handicap room when I didn’t select this room when I reserved. The comforter had a stain on it and the wall lamp was missing from the bedside. Other than those few things, the property was nice.

On another note: Houston needs to provide some services for the unhoused population in downtown areas though. It was heartbreaking to see some many ppl suffering in the midst of

Unfortunately the gym was undergoing renovations so it was not available during our stay. Also, would be nice to have coffee/tea available during the day and not just at breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean and spacious in the rooms.

The hotel was great. The breakfast area was too small. There was never enough hot food available for the crowd size and there didn't seem to be any urgency from the staff to address the issue

The Hyatt Place in Downtown Houston offers spacious clean rooms and a nice breakfast in the mornings. Located in a busy Downtown location, the hotel offers valet parking at a steep price. During busy times, it could be very hectic. We sat in our car in the middle of the street for 15 min before we were able to hand our car over. Valet personnel however were courteous and helpful. The surrounding area is a little sketchy at night.

All breakfast items were gone each morning due to the crowd, so we were not able to use the free breakfast benefit. Nice location to walk to the convention center, about a 10 minute walk.

There’s a garage around the corner that charges $20/24 hour parking. Cheaper than valet with the hotel, (which seems like the only other option)

The staff was over the top friendly and very helpful with any and all requests.

Upon arrival the toilet was clogged and I immediately let the front desk know. Six hours later after returning from our event the toilet is still clogged and the front desk had no record of the initial call. At almost 10 pm, we still do not have basic restroom accessibility to our toilet facilities. Housekeeping is here now and they are unsuccessful with unclogging the commode with someone coming with a snake to try again. Snaking a toilet without disinfecting the restroom afterwards with a new guest in disgustingly unsanitary. I am completely disappointed with the situation seeing as how expensive this room was for a basic room with windows facing a brick building.

Being downtown this is not a new property but has been well kept. Had a minor hiccup with the servicing to the room which was sorted quickly and amenably with the management.

We stayed Hyatt for the 2026 WBC game. The staff is friendly for our check-in. The location is great and It's walking distance to the ball park. We checked in at room 1616 which is on the top of the building. When we came back from the game, the entire 16th floor smelled like weed. We entered our room and found out there was a connecting door to the next room and they're smoking somthing and making lots of noise. I have my 2 dauthers with me and we can't stand the smell. I went downstairs and told Hyatt the situation and requested another room. The front desk said they're fully booked but she was able to locate another room, 1504, which is smaller than our orginal room. We settled anyway, however, we set the room temperature to 72, whenever the AC kick in, it sounds like a truck idling next to our bed. Totally ruied our schedule for the next day. The front desk were always friendly and took my email address but couldn't do anything about this. Worst hotel experience ever! Even with Hyatt!

My stay was very pleasant. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and gave good suggestions on where to go durning my stay. My room was ready as soon as i arrived and the valet helped me with my bags out the car.

Valet parking option only. Not only is it the only option but they damaged my truck and DID NOT TELL ME. Only reason I found out was because they brought it back to me and it was on the side I was standing. They only drove my truck to park it and bring it back. Though they don’t work directly with Hyatt they are contracted with them and who you do business with is a reflection of you. Will not be returning.

Clean, quiet, and spacious room. Pull out bed mattress was not comfortable. Toilet was not the best and there did not seem to be a vent fan for the bathroom. Internet access was good. Breakfast was ok, fruit could be less mushy, bacon instead of sausages would have been nice.

The positives were the location, cleanliness of the hotel and rooms, and friendly valet staff. Unfortunately, the front desk service significantly impacted my stay. The associate who assisted me was unwilling to help with a simple request for a higher-floor room and appeared irritated when a key card needed to be reprinted. I had two rooms booked, and the associate helping the other room was accommodating and able to assist, which highlighted the inconsistency. Later that evening, I encountered the same associate again while making a small purchase, and she seemed annoyed even while billing. Her responses were not cordial, and the interaction felt uncomfortable despite me not making any special requests. There were additional service gaps. The room did not include shower caps or earbuds. When I requested extra towels, I was asked to come downstairs to collect them, which was surprising for a downtown Hyatt Place. I was told staff were busy, but the communication could have been handled more professionally. Breakfast was another disappointment. There were virtually no vegan options, and vegetarian choices were limited. There were no hot vegetarian items. water was placed far from the food area, making it inconvenient. Breakfast felt poorly planned and not worth it. Overall, this property did not meet Hyatt expectations and wouldn't stay again.

Everything was great, but I thought the parking was expensive. If you park through the hotel, it's $50 plus tax, but you have the option of parking for $15 a day at the San Jacinto parking garage, which is very convenient and located on the opposite corner from the hotel. The only downside is that you can't use your car, but everything is within walking distance.

I dont like that the website description says that car parking is there but when i went there then at reception they ask for hefty amount per night parking. This is ridiculous, i don't like the way dealing with people otherwise i wouldn't have booked this hotel at all. Also there were no complimentary water bottles. I requested an extra 30 minutes to get my things together, and I was flatly told to vacate the room for another guest—with no courtesy or professionalism. We were looking for an affordable hotel close to Daikin park to see the Savannah Bananas. The hotel was beautiful and clean, the service was excellent, and the location was perfect. It was an easy short walk to the park. We parked in the public parking garage attached to the hotel, and it was $20 for 24 hours. Since we were walking to the game, we saved a ton on parking! We will definitely stay here again when in the area. We checked out early, so we didn’t get to eat the continental breakfast, but it was nice to have it included.

It was a great stay. The room was spacious and clean. The lobby and breakfast area was clean and the employees so nice. The only negative thing I can say is that at booking you are led to believe if I pay more for an upper floor I would get a view of the city. On the contrary the hotel only has city views for single king size bed rooms. I paid extra for an upper level room and got the 11th floor with views of brick walls and air conditioners. I would have not paid extra if I had known. Other than that I would book another stay here. It is walking distance to the Toyota Center.

Attended Astros game. Hotel is conveniently located, walking distance. Really love the free breakfast on site. Visiting with other occupants, stated day before they had gone off site for breakfast but it wasnt nearly as good as Hyatt's.

The Hyatt Place Downtown is coventiely located to Daikin Park, we were in town for an Astros game. The walk was safe and short. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was also a short walk to the 500 bus pickup and drop off location. Highly recommend staying here when in downtown Houston.

Very happy with our stay at this hotel. Great breakfast set up. Great service at the breakfast. The room was clean and very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. My only complaint was when walking back from an Astros game we crossed in front of a car on the sidewalk going to the garage, and the valet very rudely honked in my ear and hurt my ear. No tip for the valet.

If you are here for business it might be ok...we were here for a ballgame, the bar closed early so a nightcap after the game was not an option. Breakfast also ends at 9am, which works ok on a business trip but not so friendly for those of us there on vacation needing a little later breakfast times.

The ac was so noisy that we were unable to sleep. The black out curtains did not work, allowing sun to come in first thing in the morning and when promised food at a certain time upon returning to the room, were refused service because the kitchen was clean. (We were promised a time and mad e sure we were there within the given time frame)

The property was clean and well situated. Discovery Green is walking distance and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that people were outside yelling and cackling up until about 2am. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay. We will return and maybe get a room in the back now. The city view that we paid for wasn't worth the noise.

Such an excellent choice for our trip to see the Houston Astros. Parking was a breeze (though a bit pricey for valet of $52) and valet staff were helpful with luggage. Our room was spotless, bed was comfortable and all was very quiet. We walked to the Astro game which was an easy 6 blocks. Breakfast offered a wide assortment of favorites: cereal, fruit, bacon, eggs, muffins and more. My only improvement would be to open it until 9:30 as lines were long between 8:30 - 9:00 on weekdays. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I traveled to Houston to catch an Astros game. The valet meets you in front of the hotel making impossible parking carefree. We were pleased with our room and the amenities available. In particular to our goal, the hotel is an easy walk to the stadium with a great selection of restaurants. It was perfect with exception of the Astros losing.

I had a wonderful stay at this location. The room was extremely clean and very pretty. I felt very comfortable here. The location was cool because you can walk to bars and restaurants. But please be aware that it is downtown. And you can imagine the things that come with that.

Very friendly staff. The room setup was a little odd. We had 2 beds and a pull out couch. The TV was right in the middle of the room separating the beds and couch. Just a little odd. But overall it was a nice hotel.

The staff when we got there was amazing and it is very close to the Astros park. What you don’t realize you’re signing up for is when you’re ready to go to bed and the noise level at the street is so much that you can’t even sleep. Not blaming the hotel for that they can’t control the people outside of the hotel but just something to consider if you’re gonna stay there.

The room was oddly shaped. The bathroom shower was like a third world shower ....floor level drain with inadequate curtain equals water all over the floor. Bed was old and sunken in the middle. Bedclothes were stiff and abrasive. Rollout bed was poor at best. Had to go down to check in to get towels for next day because Housekeeping is an every other day standard for this "upscale" Hyatt. Hyatt standards have fallen dramatically ( New York Times Square Hyatt was a bust too ! )but their prices haven't ! Hyatt better wakeup or their position in the marketplace will be eqaul to the low end providers.

We were very satisfied with our stay here. It was close to the ballpark as well as other entertainment venues. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It was clean, quiet, and had all the amenities I expect from a Hyatt. The included breakfast was well done and added to our positive experience. I would happily stay here again.

Valet parking should be less cost

Great place for stay and be around downtown!!

Staff was wonderful especially the valet men!!

Overall the hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. My only complaint was the smell of marijuana. It was bad in the lobby when we checked in, I half expected to run into Cheech and Chong in the elevator it was so strong. We were on the 10th floor but when the elevator stopped on the 4th and 7th floor it was almost overpowering.

The hotel stay was nice and the bartender had good hospitality
