This was a perfect location. Walking distance from everything! It felt very safe and was easy to get to! As other reviews have mentioned, there are quite a few stairs which was somewhat difficult with two little kids, but manageable.

The room was more like a closet turned into a room. It had a bed and that was it. Very very old building. Lots of noise coming from the resturant downstairs. There was no wifi and there was no light in the stair case. Night air conditioning, technically just a bed in a very old sticky doom closet to sleep in. Everything was bad

The hostel is right in the center of Heidelberg, so it was possible to walk to the castle and explore the other side of the river as well. The staff for the hostel is also the staff for the bar on the ground floor, which made it a challenge to check in and out as well as communicate any requests. The curtains and floor were dirty. The floor is very creaky and there was a lot of noise from the street level. Be aware that this place is bar first, hostel second.

Room was as advertised so it met my expectations. Very friendly/helpful staff in the bar. Pleased to see a kettle was provided in the room - but, unfortunately, no cup/mug!

staff is very responsive, helpful and nice. doors to rooms are super thin, so you hear everything happening on the same floor. it's a hostel, so most people seem to be young travelers - staying up late and not being too quiet when returning for sleeping in the night.
