Got to hotel around 5:30 pm and they gave my 2 rooms i booked away and said that the third party didn’t have my email and phone number so they cancelled my reservation

I loved the modern style. I loved how the lobby was like a place to commune with others. The pool drain was stopped up and the outside patio needs a trash can so people will stop leaving cups and stuff on the nice furniture out there.

Please check towels to make sure they are not spotted and holding hair. Make sure cleaners change pillowcases and sheets instead of just making up beds.

The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view. I enjoyed having a refrigerator in the room. The breakfast bar was excellent—plenty of parking. I paid for early check-in, but the room wasn't ready. There was no body wash in the shower, or I should say the container was empty. I had to request that my dirty towels be replaced. Lastly, one of the male staffers at the front desk was so engrossed in what he was watching on his laptop, with headphones on, that he couldn't hear me when I tried to get his attention for service.

I have zero complaints. Very warm and helpful staff. I guess if I had to offer any kind of input it would be about the pancakes. Would most definitely rather have waffles but this is also nick picking

I booked a one night stay because the pictures looked nice. When I got my room it was musty scent in the room and smelled like pee could’ve been on the carpet so I told the front desk person and she said the person who stayed last night didn’t have a problem. I wasn’t concerned about someone else’s stay so I didn’t care for that comment. A friend of my mine came in my room to confirm it was unpleasant smell as well. So I got another room which didn’t smell much better. The vents in the bathroom were rusted and there was a hole in the floor by the door. I didn’t waste my time going back downstairs to the front desk because of how she spoke to me before so I went out to minimize how much time I had to stay in the awful room with unpleasant smell. I woke up early the next day got out of there and I will never stay at a Holiday Inn Express again. Don’t waste your money at this location!

The room was clean, the breakfast was ok. Next time consider people that don’t eat pork. Have other meat ideas.

Comfy, clean. The breakfast was poor. Runny oatmeal. At 8 am, toppings for oatmeal and pancakes were empty. No fresh fruit ie bananas.

Just what we needed in Gastonia for a quick stay. Front Desk and Housekeeping staff very polite. We never had breakfast or used any amenities but other guests seemed to enjoy it.
