Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Worth-Fossil Creek

One of those Hamptons which requires some remodeling. Old air conditioning units, foggy window, some old conditions generally. Staff was super friendly!

The room was big but not well maintained. The toilet was very low because of the tile not being replaced under toilet. Something was spilled on the sheets, so we stripped the bed. They made the bed but did not replace the sheets. We had to ask. They did not give clean washcloths x2, just bath towels. The hot tub and pool were amazing. Breakfast was standard hotel style. Staff were very nice.

So many odd issues with the stay, and I’ve stayed here several times before. I stay in a room that has a handicap accessible bathroom and found that the paint on the walls was extremely worn out/dirty/peeling. The “clip” that holds the shower head in place was broken but instead of replacing, they just glued it so it didn’t work to actually hold the shower in place. The electronic blinds were not working on one side. Took a long time but someone came to fix it (a male, alone, while I’m a female also alone in the room - even though the front desk lady told me she would come with the maintenance man yet she didn’t) and after fiddling with it was told he’d come back later to finish. I left. 7 hours later I was back and it was still broken. I had to make several more calls for them to fix it. A/C unit was broken. It would come on for cold or heat but zero way to control the fan on it. So it would come on randomly throughout the night and every time would wake me up because it was insanely loud with each startup. Breakfast was the worst I’ve ever seen it at any Hampton. First day: sausage patties were burnt and super hard. 2nd day: same potatoes from day before and the oatmeal had ZERO liquid, dried and burnt to the container. Alerted the kitchen crew and they seemed irritated that I even mentioned it. 3rd day: same potatoes as first 2 days and more dried out, not even fully cooked oatmeal. Containers of toppings for waffles were basically empty too. 2/10 do not recommend.

It smelled nice but looked pretty beat up anywhere other than thr common areas. The breakfast was small and not like the pictures.

Clean room, friendly staff. Breakfast okay, but they ran out of plastic forks, which means no one is monitoring inventory. Mattress rock hard, no support. Room layout odd, with tv hard to see from the bed. Furniture/decor assembled at random, like a college apartment. No towel hook within reach of the shower. Towel hook for sink crammed up by soap dispenser on wall. Does no one ever walk into these rooms and look around? The entire atmosphere is one of thoughtlessness.

Breakfast was great and the staff was nice but I booked this room for my son a swim party and I got the suite so it would sleep everyone comfortably but when We pulled out the sleeper couch there were sheets on it they were dirty and hadn't been changed. So nobody had changed it it was dirty. I ended up having to take my son home so he could sleep in his own bed. I'm very disappointed

This hotel was lovely! Easy location to get everywhere we needed. The room was large, toilet and shower were separate from the sink which we absolutely love! We didn’t get to use breakfast, pool etc but if we had stayed longer we would have for sure! Everything was clean and there was so much space in the room to spread everything out.

Overall stay was great but restroom was dirty and tub mildew around tub stopper and the worst part was dirty towels left behind from previous individuals that stayed in the room.

Our room was missing a picture on the wall but the brackets were still there, and one of the window shades was broken. The pillows are very thin as well.

This hotel is needing a deep clean and pest treatment. There was a random mystery bug AND a cockroach skittering around. The phone in the room didn’t work and when reported to the staff they didn’t seem to care just a curt “thanks for telling me”. I got a knock on my door the first night around 10:30pm for a noise complaint for “stomping around” even though I was down in the lobby picking up a food delivery and the other two people with me were already sleeping. They couldn’t call my room of course because the phone didn’t work. When I said it wasn’t us and could clearly hear some other room playing music and jumping around I was met with indifference. The door to the bathroom is warped and you have to shove it hard to close it, the light switch in the bathroom is basically blocked by the door so you can’t get to it until you close the door, the shower curtain clearly doesn’t fit and won’t stay closed and there was mold in the shower, water pressure is poor. The AC was loud and barely worked. The room was always warm even when we put the thermostat down to 67. We would have tried to switch hotels but one traveler was on crutches and it was too much hassle to repack and move everything for one more night. The older gentleman on the last day was very nice, but the young guy on the first day was rude and very busy gossiping and talking politics with another guest at the front. No hand soap in the lobby bathroom. I liked the layout of the room, large fridge, towels/sheets clean

Everything was fine except for the A/C unit in our room. None of the controls worked and you couldn’t change the temperature. We would have preferred it to be a little cooler but it wasn’t bad.

The staff was nice. Rooms were clean with comfy beds. Nice little indoor pool area. Large patio to sit on. A lot of variety for breakfast.

Lady at check-in was tremendous. Got there way before check in time and she found a way to get me in early. Very good breakfast and fitness room had plenty of equipment. Would definitely stay again.

Our shower was broken had to use our neighbors. The air conditioner didn't work very well. The bed was hard as a rock.

Clean room. Staff was nice. Our only drawback was our room was across from the elevator and ice machine. We could hear people talking and getting ice all hours and the dinging of the elevator arriving on the floor.

Pool, breakfast, beds Paper thin walls. Guests above us were stomping, bouncing balls and running until 1am and the staff wouldn’t really do anything other than call and ask them to stop. There was no accountability

Upon check-in, the evening attendant was very nice and willing to help, but he did warn us after I requested a room away from the elevator that they were limited on space so low and behold, I received a room by the elevator, which I have to say we didn’t hear it throughout the night however we did hear the air conditioner and it was loud and it made an off ringing noise that did not allow my wife and I to sleep, but of course the kids slept then the pool was cold and the hot tub had large disgusting suds in them with black floating things in there and there were no towels in the pool area. I had to go request them then in the room the sides of the baseboards were really important condition not at the level of a good Hampton Inn I travel many places around the US and I have to say this Hampton Inn was very below average and after complaining to the front desk, they stared at me like they couldn’t believe what they were hearing. I then asked for the manager, and they replied that he wasn’t here today, which was very odd so I left my number and still haven’t heard a word my overall perception of this hotel is that it isn’t really not worth my stay and I hope people changed their mind about staying at fossil Creek Hampton Inn because it definitely is not worth it.

Everything! It was very clean. Our room was sagacious and great for the kids. The indoor pool and hot tub was the main reason we picked this hotel and it did not disappoint! I don’t have any complaints.

It was nice to be greeted by a friendly staff member at chk in. The place was clean and quiet. Parking was lit could add more property lighting. But overall the room, bkfts, property was very well kept. Would recommend to anyone who is researching a place to stay.

I absolutely love this location! The staff is ALWAYS friendly, room is always clean, breakfast is great and the hot tub is amazing!

Nice and clean My room 318 stunk like water damage , I froze thru out the night because the air conditioner would not turn off and all buttons were broken on it , the central air/ heat on the wall was off .. let front desk know and was told they would let management know upon arrival later in morning.. paid 185.00 to be miserable

Breakfast was decent, but when we came down at 9 there was barely anything left, and no one seemed to care there was an hour left with little to no food. That was a tad disappointing, especially because our softball team looks forward to team breakfast in the morning. But the staff was super friendly, especially the guy who checked us in! All in all decent hotel, and would recommend.

I thought my stay was great! The hospitality was amazing. I had a suite and it was super spacious! I would honestly recommend spending a couple of extra bucks to upgrade to a suite. Our fridge in the room wasn’t functioning, but the front desk sent maintenance and they brought us up a whole new fridge! The place was clean the rooms were spacious and the staff were great. The pool and spa was awesome for the family. (The lady that cooked the breakfast Sunday morning should get a raise she was awesome!) There wasn’t much I didn’t like about our stay.

During the stay, the handle on the bath tub did not allow for the water to be turned off. The water ran from 9:00 pm til checkout at 11:00am on 2/8. The front desk rep, Claudia, gracefully apologized, offering to comp one of the rooms as we had two suites. When time for checkout, Claudia no longer spoke English and only spoke Spanish. She carried on a conversation with another staff member only to come back and say she “made the decision to comp the room before speaking with a supervisor.” How is that my fault? Again, losing the ability to speak English, she goes on to say there were noise complaints. If there were noise complaints, why would you not reach out to the room holder. No calls were made. Conveniently, there were noise complaints after you overplayed your role and offered to comp the room. Speaking in another language in front of someone who does not speak that language is RUDE! Especially when you spoke English very fluently just 24 hours prior. I asked for corporates number and was advised there’s no corporate. She gave me a card which only listed the locations number. The rooms were clean, but front desk experience was 0

We stayed in room 223 the first night and couldn’t hardly sleep due to the pipes dripping sound was so loud and the shower had no hot water. Asked to change rooms the next morning and when we was able to swap room to 311 when the air kicked on the fan for the heater had a very loud whine.

The rooms are clean but you can tell the room needs a full remodel, the lobby looks new but the rooms are old. Cracks in the ceiling out dates showers, stains in the chairs and couch. The staff was great and helpful. I had to change my first room because it had a odder that i couldn’t get past.

In was in a mobile room whichnwas fine. Here were the issues. The heater made a loud whistle sound and the bathroom was too dark. I was next to the elevator but those noises dont bother me. Breakfast was good. And the over one night stay was fine.

The room was great, staff were friendly, and the hot tub and pool were amazing! Would 100% suggest bringing your own pillows if you like a more firm pillow but other than that 10/10 experience. Check in and out was easy. We will be staying again when we travel back to Texas.

Front desk, Geoff, was awesome!!!! Our room was clean and comfortable. I was happy to not be in a congested area of town because I was a nervous wreck with Texas traffic after a long day of driving to get here.

There was a disturbing amount of hair just outside the shower, on the floor. The floor in the room had not been vacuumed. There was mud-like dirt pieces on the carpet.There was no rain during my visit so it is unclear how long the dirt has been there.

When I went over to phone in room to call front desk the phone was broken. I walked to front desk with photo of sheets and the brown object in a kleenex. They put me in my another room. They were unwilling to refund because of “policy”. Non refundable policy. So it wasn’t about me the customer and making things right, it was about policy. Very disappponting and I will not be staying there ever again.

We love the location and this hotel. The room itself has plenty of space and parking is great. Unfortunately the last 2 visits at this hotel, the conditions could be better. The lights on the mirror over the vanity were out making it difficulty to get ready, and the iron was not working. Last visit, we found socks under the ottoman's from a previous guest.

Instead I found oatmeal that was mostly water and ice cold (they never turned on the crockpot for it) and sausage bites that were rancid. That afternoon and until well after 1am, I could hear every person stomping above me and every person talking in the rooms next to me. The walls are paper thin. I tried to go to the hotel pool/hot tub Friday night and was disgusted to see how filthy the hot tub was, so I told management and they closed it. But ew! Saturday was not much better for breakfast and still very noisy throughout the day. I will say the breakfast Sunday was back to the usual Hampton quality - no rancid meat (same type they had served on Friday), oatmeal that was actually cooked, etc. However if you're looking for variety for breakfast, this isn't it. Other than the meat changing, they served the same potatoes and eggs every single day. I like this Hampton for the location and the large desk in the suite so I have room to work, but in the future, I think I'll look for somewhere else to stay.

Overall, I did enjoy staying at this hotel. My room was spacious and housekeeping came every day to make my bed and tidy up my room and bathroom. I think we should have a microwave on every floor just for convenience overall great place to stay.

It was a great location for our stay. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. My only complaint is that breakfast ends at 9:00am. I’m a late sleeper. Otherwise, everything was great!

It’s cricket season apparently we kept finding them in our room😂 they flood the grounds every night so it’s soppy & mossy. And the bed wasn’t great not horrible but I didn’t wake up refreshed either, more like I got ran over

We chose to stay here because Geoffe was so sweet on the phone prior to the stay. Everything was great and I would definitely stay here again. Not too far from Billy Bobs.

Do not, I repeat, do not stay on the first floor. It is worse then if you live in apartments as far as hearing every single step the people above you take. We had to switch rooms to the 3rd floor in the middle of the night. Glad they were able to at least put us in another room because that would have sucked. Just please do not stay on the first floor towards the end of the hall. I don’t know if it’s the same in the 2nd floor.

Brandon was so helpful me and family traveled from everywhere for a family event and stayed here. My daughter got so sick and he provided everything for me to get my room cleaned and was very nice and professional about it. Breakfast was awesome and will definitely be getting the queen suite again.

Continental breakfast was great, but ending at 9a was a little early. I had to wake up my three kids so they could eat. Multiple families came down after 9a looking for breakfast.

It was one of the best check-ins ever. The guy was so friendly and welcoming, and we had a fun conversation, and it was a great experience.

Nice quiet close to stores

Located in a nice, quiet area. Very clean!!!! Bed was comfortable. I did not eat breakfast, but my husband said it was good. Well stocked convenience shop. But the staff!!! The staff was AMAZING!!! I’ve never stayed anywhere where the staff was so friendly and willing to help. We have already booked our next stay in the area with them, and I would definitely recommend for anyone needing a place to stay while in the area.

The hotel was nice especially the heated pool. The breakfast was also good so no complaints there. The only issue I had was that they would not take cash as payment and required the person that made reservation to be present.

The property was overall great. The customer service was excellent. We had a few problems with TV( because of the rain) but we all had our own electronics. The breakfast was good and we really enjoyed the indoor pool. The hotel was very clean.

Shower drain is slow and it’s a bit outdated for the rooms. Nice staff

We only had a few pillows and two towels to start our stay there. I asked for two more pillows and two more towels, and I only received two pillows. Medico back the second day and asked for more towels.

The hotel was nice a clean and the staff was super friendly. Great customer service. One of the best breakfast areas, with lots of choices, I have had in a hotel. We did have people (kids) late at night making a lot of noise above us and with a visit to the front desk, the managers addressed the issue and things were fine after that. We appreciated that the staff took us seriously and were attentive.

Beginning to show its age. But staff was very friendly and lobby seemed to be more updated than room. Room had sticky carpet because it was old. But lobby was festive as they were decorating for holidays! Front desk staff was wonderful.

We're all for being environmentally friendly, but having to ask for clean towels every day is ridiculous, considering the price of the room. Perhaps giving a discount for not having the room serviced every day? For the price, this was not that great of a room. There are plenty of hotel rooms in Fort Worth. Next time we will try something else.
