    The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but the air conditioning on our floor (7) was not robust. Even though the thermostat was set to 65 degrees, it was too warm for a blanket to be used at night. The bed was a little too soft for us but I think most people would be happy with it. The breakfast was excellent, we ordered off the menu and split a very good omelet, which was plenty of food for 2 people. I would stay here again!

    If you're staying in Dallas and you don't need to be downtown this place is fantastic. There's a full bar in the lobby, the place is spotlessly clean and very safe feeling. There was a very nice outdoor pool (although we didn't use). We only stayed for one night, so we didn't really use any amenities like the gym, but I'm sure it was top notch, too. On the downside, breakfast is not included, but available and parking also costs extra. I will 100% stay there again and would recommend to anyone.

    The pool was amazing. It is an older building and you can tell it was remodeled. The AC didn’t work well in our room as a matter of fact, the outdoor hallway was definitely way cooler than our room was even though we tried lowering it multiple times.

    I had booked two standard rooms for myself and a friend. During checkin we were asked if we wanted the rooms to be conjoined and we said yes so my original floor that I was on was moved and the new rooms that we received were amazing! It exceeded our expectations for the stay and we were grateful for the staff accommodating us. We were grateful for the cleanliness of the rooms and the sizing of the rooms, we had a really great stay here!

    Everything was true to the advertisement. The whole location was absolutely stunning. I absolutely loved my room and the view was SPECTACULAR! The food and specialty drinks were unexplainably delicious. Everyone was friendly and kind. Made me want to relocate entirely! No complaints at all!

    I stay at this hotel every time I come to Dallas. However, I don’t like that if I’m staying more than one night I still expect my room clean & fresh towels in the room. I always have to go ask for towels and they never come clean the room. Besides this complaint I do enjoy staying here.

    We stayed in Room 1802 (Suite). I've stayed in that room before and really liked it, so I requested it again. I love the Suite style room. The shower was terrible. There was no shower head, only a 'wand' and it was broken. It wouldn't stay in place and it was quite a challenge to take a shower. Also, I paid for the upgrade for the suite. I'm not sure it was worth the value. Additionally, the parking garage is GROSS and tight. I almost couldn't get out of the parking spot with my pickup. It took me 10 minutes of inching my way out of there.

    Front desk staff were great, and accommodated our request for adjoining rooms even with a very late check-in. The gym was spacious and well maintained. Coffee in the lobby in the morning is a nice touch. Rooms were a good size Housekeeping was just okay. Replacing the coffee pods would have been better. Elevator floors and carpets are pretty worn. That said, the fact that it may soon be time for a remodel is one reason why the cost is so affordable. The garage fee is proportionally high relative to the room cost.

    The pillows are big fluffy lumps and they gave me the worst stiff neck. Also, no shampoo! You can’t tell when the bottle is empty. I called to get shampoo and I got two more conditioners because it said apres shampoo and was confusing to the staff, I think.

    The hotel lobby and common areas were nice. The room itself was fine. The bed was awful. Very saggy. The shower was a rain shower head with a hand held. The water pressure was decent but the handheld did not work fully. The AC didn’t cool as much as it should have. I will say the valet was timely and responsive. We checked out on a Sunday morning and went to eat in their restaurant at 10 am. They had stopped serving which was disappointing. It wasn’t awful, but I’ve definitely had better for the price. I would not pick this hotel again unless I had no other option. I usually love Westins too

    Central location that made it easy to get everywhere we needed to. Miss “Free Free” checked us in and was the kindest person you will ever meet. The room was spotless and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, best buffet ever. And having an attached garage makes getting in and out so much easier that most hotels.     The overall sray was plesent, the staff nice and everything went soomth but I had booked two weeks in advance requesting a few accommodations for the special occasion and they said the would do their best and the room we had wasnt kn the top floor and it was just facing the highway. And there were other reviwes where the staff offered special thinngs in the room for the occasion but that was only offer online not recommended when I called ot when we checked in. And then the breakfast was $25 a person. I wish they had been just a little more accommodating in this aspect. The front desk attendant did give us a parking pass but the whole thing was very dirty expeccally the entrance ally from the parking. I dont think that should be $25 a night on top of your room either but I guess that just me. I dont think it was worth the pretty entrance but it was just those little things. I think its easy to forget when you work there all the time that for people like me I was hoping for a once in a life time experience for our celebration and we got the minimum is what it fel like.

    The hotel was nice, and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, we paid for a deluxe room hoping for a good night's rest. There were two or three families surrounding us who kept their doors open and yelled and cackled all night long. At four in the morning their small children were running up and down the halls, yelling at the top of their lungs. Apparently, we had an adjoining room with one of them, and the crack under the door made their rude behavior even louder. I'm not sure I'd try the hotel again, given that they pay no attention to the noise level in the middle of the night.

    My family and I really enjoy places that have a history and the Magnolia did not disappoint! We are easy going people and liked how simple check in and check out were.     Phone didn't work. Blow dryer was broken. Not enough towels/ wash cloths to get to the late after room cleaning. Website wouldn't allow for a veterans discount, and the staff could not give it to me ? Paid parking wasn't expected. Also, felt like it was a little expensive. I don't mind paying , but in turn , I expect to get what I pay for. WILL NOT BE BACK. NOR WILL I RECOMMEND

    The staff was execeptional, very helpful and a delight to engage with. My room was clean upon entry and allowed for a very relaxing weekend away. The location was another added bonus, everything you could imagine was no more than 10 minutes away, may be the grocery store, a little shopping complex or restaurants. Overl, I had a fabulous stay and will be coming back.

    The door between adjacent rooms has very poor insulation. We had an unpleasant couple fighting next door. They might as well have been in our room! Uncomfortable lack of privacy. Bathroom smelled moldy. AC very loud when kicking in. Everything else good. First time I had to pay for parking at a hotel. At least they gave me a parking discount. Friendly staff.

    There was a chunk of eyelashes on my bed spread when I first got there. As a female traveling alone, safety is a big concern. I did not feel safe or secure in my room at all. The door opened out into the hallway, so I could not use my door alarm should someone have gotten into my room. Because the door opened outwards, there was no privacy door latch. There was only one lock for the whole door. The next room was right next to my door and any time they went in or out of their room, it sounded like someone was coming into my room. It was very unsettling. I would not recommend. Interesting though was I spoke with a colleague who stayed on on the 8th floor and she said her door opened in and she had a privacy latch. Not sure if it’s just the 12th floor or what but I would recommend not staying in 1227.

    The manager was very nice by waiving our early check in fee allowing us to go to our room when we arrived. All of the staff was friendly. Our room was dirty upon arrival. At least the bathroom was. Hair all in the shower and the toilet wasn’t wiped down. We stayed for 3 nights and was only restocked the first night and had to ask for new towels and toilet paper later in our stay.

    The hotel was very nice and clean, but for the price, it would have been nice to have complimentary coffee. They charge $5 for a cup of coffee, which we felt was ridiculous, but given the fact that there were no coffee shops within walking distance, the only option would have been to drive somewhere or door dash.

    I usually stay at this hotel when I go to Dallas. I always prepay for my stay through Expedia. For the last 2 stays the hotel has charged me direct for my stay. This means I have been charged twice for the same stay. Every time you call the hotel you can't get through. After several tries and I finally got through. The clerk said they would look into it and call me back. However I still have not heard anything.

    Very very quiet. Aircon cold and made no noise. Near a big freeway but windows thick enough so very little noise. Good black out blinds. Almost too good. Had a great sleep. Good value for money (based on the price I paid). If you want a good sleep this is your place.

    1) hotel did not answer the phone at the front desk for 10 min 2) The hotel security was not able to access the room- knocking and phone. I was told they were going to call POLICE. 3) I was told I would be refunded for that night- but needed to go through Expedia. Expedia said hotel will not refund. 4) I also had to pay to ship my kindle - left behind in transferring rooms at 4:30 am. 5) I had additional travel costs due to interruption of sleep etc. AWFUL experience!

    The hotel is nice. My only complaint is we booked an executive room and in the room description on Expedia is you get breakfast and you have acess to the club lounge. This property doesn't have a club lounge and breakfast was not included. The Westin staff apologized but said it is Expedias fault and did try to make any effort to make up for it. I don't know what the benefit of getting an executive room if there are no additional services included.

    The A/C in my room was not working when I got there it was very hot called the front desk to report, was told they will send someone out. I left for dinner came back around midnight still nothing report again a/c was not working once again was told sending someone never did, called again I was told the same thing waited until 3am nothing I fell asleep in the hotness. I woke up around 6am to an email that they tried calling my room to tell me A/C was not going to be fix until after 8am and if I wanted to switch rooms. No one never called my room again if they did why they didn't send someone upstairs let me know? Also why give run arounds if you know A/C was not getting fix diring the night,I would like to get a night reimbursed or a free night thats the least they can do. Also we have to pay $25 self parking per night my card to go in and out the garage did not work had to go to the front desk 4 times to get a new one, but they were fast enough to charge my card for the parking for 2 nights this is upsetting.

    We enjoyed our time at the Westin. The property was great. We did have an issue with one of the elevators. It closed on someone from our party and wouldn’t open up. Someone had to come and help pry the elevator open.

    This Westin location needs a major renovation ASAP. The facility is old and it really shows. We booked a deluxe room on the 14rth floor which is supposed to be the better/newer condition rooms. If that was “renovated” I cannot imagine the standard rooms. The carpet was pulling up. The bathroom was both dirty and there was mold in the shower & grout. The room took a while to actually cool down (more than 2.5 hours ). This property’s outdated facility & lack of cleanliness makes me want to stay away from any Westin’s moving forward.

    We paid $10 for two water bottles. The pizza we ordered looked worse than a frozen pizza that you buy at the grocery store. The bed had some type of white powder that transferred to my black pants. The shower did not work properly. Would not recommend this hotel.

    The garage has a big yellow sign hanging from the top as you drive in. Well if you have a truck, the yellow sign is going to hit the antenna located top of the roof of the truck or the guardrails located top of the roof of the truck. I have a Toyota Tundra not lifted. They need to shorten the chain to bring the sign up higher.

    The hotel itself was clean and serene, two qualities I value most when traveling. I also enjoyed a cup of coffee in the lobby the next morning, and it was just perfect.     I booked an executive double room and when I got there they didn’t have my room so they gave me a standard king room. I was with my 16 year old daughter and she had to sleep on a roll away bed. Hotels.com and the hotel would not comp me the difference in cost.

    The curtains did close completely so there were bright strips of vertical light in the middle and at the ends. Most hotels have shower caps, my wife was expecting there to be one and was disappointed there were none. The toilet sometimes ran continuously after flushing.

    I have stayed here several times and never had a problem. This trip, we brought our dog. There are obviously only certain rooms they will allow you to stay in with a dog. I had a good bit of cleanliness issues upon check-in in my room where the dog was staying but not in the other room I booked. My room also smelled like smoke even though the hotel is smoke free. They offered to provide an ozone machine to clean the air, but they never brought it. I will stay here again, but will be cautious if bringing my dog again.
