THE MO HOUSE GOTIC

Mo Gothic is centrally located, the staff were kind and the room was quiet and comfortable. It was very convenient to also have a room right beside the bathroom. The facilities were very clean. Just a further note: ,y visit was in the low season, so it was quieter than it would be in high season. The bed sinks in the middle and needs to be replaced. There is an air conditioner and bucket awkwardly placed in an already small room. The price point is very high for what you get. I stayed at a competitor hotel in the Gothic Quarter at the end of my trip to Catalunya; it was cheaper, and had more amenities and a comfortable bed. You could stay in a hostel with more amenities for half the price but you sacrifice privacy. Or you could stay in a more expensive hotel, but the next notch up is significantly higher.

Exterior door knob to my room came off in my hand. Staff could fix it 18 hours later, but no other rooms available and no offer for compensation. Bathrooms are tiny and poorly maintained.

I loved my stay at this hotel, The girl in the reception is super nice sorry I forgot her name. The place is supper CLEAN and it smells so nice, I forgot to ask about the perfume whenever I entered the hotel it’s smelled so clean. I recommend this hotel, and I would definitely go back. I read some comments about people complaining about the noise from outside saying that you can hear everything from outside in your room, I agree the rooms are jot sound proof, but I think it depends on the season when it’s summer people are still outside in the streets that’s why you can hear noise, in my case I was there on the 31st January the noise wasn’t that bad, I managed to sleep.

The first night I stayed in the room with a single bed. The bed was alright but still slept well. The room and shared bathroom were clean. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The second night the door handle from inside the room was starting to break. Almost stuck in the room but I gave the staff person a call and they immediately ran upstairs to check it out. They end up transferring to the main floor with the room with double size at no extra cost. The room was beside the office. Nice that they had a coffee machine to use. The sound proofing was not the greatest but it was still quiet enough at night. The room with the double bed had two doors facing outside to stand on the balcony. The windows on those doors are super old so they were not the greatest for sound proofing. I would be scared to stay in that room in the middle of Barcelona Summer heat. I could see that room becoming a hot blazing sauna in the summer. Other than that I enjoyed my stay at The MO GOTIC. Thank you again

Clean. A lot of noise, non-soundproofed room, windows did not close properly.

Honestly I really love the services everyone one of the guys in the reception they’re really professional and friendly , absolutely I’ll be recommend this quiet place because it’s clean and have a great location, ?

I love the cleanliness, safety, and location. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean. And the bed was so soft I could have some good rest. I didn't find anything to dislike about this property.

Terrible cleaning

There was nothing I liked here. The bed was sagging, the shutters wouldn’t close all the way, the floor space was taken by a portable ac unit. It was truly bad. The room was worth no more than $12/night.

As it is in a crowded area even at night, you can hear the people outside.

It was just cozy and nice for the location, it gets the job done while being clean and with nice staff Not much really, everything was neat

And we can leave our luggage after we checked-out which is handy. It will be nicer if there’s a kettle for hot water.

Too expensive for a brothel type experience ?bad, bad!! It needs too much help construction and decoration. The facilities gave me the impression of poor management n booking is not doing nothing about it. If you guys need help in that department, please let me know.

Nothing

Location was good, used the Aerobus shuttle from and to the airport. This was a short visit in-between flights (day and a half). Lots of shops, restaurants, sites, beaches all within walking distance. It was very busy, but I didn't find it overwhelming - I would expect it to be much worse during the high travel season (we were there at the end of October). The noise level in the area is quite loud, even with the windows closed, however it wasn't terrible.
