Itaca Hostel offers shared dormitories with bunk beds as well as private rooms, a 24-hour front desk, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. It’s the perfect choice for solo travelers and small groups looking to meet new people. Please note that group bookings of more than 10 people are not accepted. Most rooms and dormitories overlook the street and feature a balcony. All accommodations are bright, modern, and equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans. Individual lockers are available in the dormitories. Guests can relax and connect in our friendly, social common areas, including a shared kitchen and a cozy living room. We regularly organize social activities such as family dinners, sangria nights, and sunset views, making it easy to meet fellow travelers. Free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are available all day. I liked how central the hostel was in the gothic quarter. It had a cozy feel since it was a smaller hostel and the communal spaces felt welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped and the free coffee and tea were a big plus. The staff was very helpful and kind. The bunks were basic but comfortable. The room was a little tight and having the lockers near the entrance of the room made it feel crowded. The bathrooms could have used more towels or tissues near the sink. I didn't realize that some of the social events wouldn't happen if there weren't enough people. A little more table/prep space in the kitchen would have been helpful.

I liked their flexibility and that we managed to make preregistration and leave our bags there. Even if there's not so much free space in the building, it's pretty cozy. Also it's cool that their location is near the center. After we left, next day we had been covered in bites all over our bodies (but now after 1, almost 2 weeks we recovered, so all is good) I checked and found somebody had the same experience 2 months ago....so I think they have to clean first all building, because they have bedbugs.

Super friendly. Helpful. We did have our AC breakdown but they really tried hard to get it working. Really exceptional staff.

The room was always hot. The stairs and the bathroom have a humid smell. The stairs to the bunk beds are small and uncomfortable.

It would be better if there were curtains aroubd the beds.

In the middle of summer there was no air-conditioning - it was impossible to sleep. The noise from the common room was perfectly audible in the room late at night. The bathrooms were not very clean

The location was great The room was hot as hell. There was no air conditioning. Only fans that kept whirring all night. The residents were migrating all night.

Staff were friendly and the location is pretty good. Lots of good restaurants around and situated really close to the cathedral. Also very clean. Broken / no AC. Pretty horrendous to sleep through in the heat with the temp around 30-35 degrees. I ended up leaving early to go to a hotel.
