Hotel Roma Reial

It’s in the prime location as in center of everything. Elevator is so tight but at least there is one, better than nothing at all.

The breakfast is basic (breads and yogurt). The noise outside is unbearable. You can hear everything happening outside. Its too noisy even at midnight to early morning. I can barely sleep. The rooms also have very thin blankets and look old.

Close to La Rambla Comfort. Too pricey. Room didn’t have a balcony.

The facility is in the Plaza itself, its sorrounded by the restaurant’s, the staff are very accommodating but the bed is uncomfortable, walking distant to market, and metra

The main issue with the property is the location. Yes, it’s very centric but also extremely loud at night. If you’re a light sleeper, I highly recommend skipping this place. Restaurants and bars are open until 4 am and you can hear music and people talking/yelling till very late hours. I read the other comments before booking so I brought earplugs, and yet I was not able to sleep very well. They offered no toiletries and the internet was very slow.

The location is very convenient to La Rambla and the subway that gets you to many of the sights of Barcelona. The bathroom had been remodeled and was very nice. Although the breakfast was continental (no hot food) it was good with pastries, coffee, juice, and yogurt. The breakfast room was a very attractive and interesting basement room that seemed so right for an ancient city like Barcelona. It was a budget hotel so we didn't expect luxury. We spent most of our time sightseeing so didn't need a lot of amenities. We arrived about noon and expected to have to store our luggage but they had a room available for us right away. The elevator was very small and old but got us and our luggage to the room. We booked a twin bed room and the small room had 3 beds in it so very little floor space. No desk, chair, or refrigerator. The only electrical outlet we could find in the bedroom was on a wall behind the TV with an extension cord to plug into. Pillows were flat and our room had no view.

The breakfast was adequate but not fancy. There could have been more shelving in the bathroom and also in the room.

Accessibility for taxi coming in or out was very difficult. We had a morning flight and coming out of the Hotel there was another world going on out there at 4- 5 am, in Plaza Reial and LA Rambla. I don't think we will stay in any hotel around that area.

Not really that clean when they made up the room. Toilet was not cleaned properly.

Good location Breakfast is very minimal. Croissant, bun or yogurt and cornflakes. Room with almost no natural light as it came through a like a six foot square vent in the middle of the building. No mat for bath to have shower, almost slipped.

Breakfast was a bit lacking in my opinion. Only breads. Cereal and yogurt. Would have enjoyed some fruit or protein.
