The location was good! Very convenient metro station a 2 minute walk away. There were also a lot of bathrooms, I never needed to wait. The air-conditioning in the private room was very nice and the beds were comfortable For almost €250 a night for a private room, I would expect free breakfast. The batteries in the safe were also dead so it was unusable. In the booking photos it looks like the window/door looked out to a private courtyard but it was actually a common area. Before 12 am it was very loud in the room since there was no sound deadening. The bathrooms only had one bottle of soup for 4 sinks and only a very loud hand dryer, which would wake up the whole hostel at night. The showers didn't have anywhere to put your stuff inside and had damaged tile. The walls of our private room were very dirty and the underside of the top bunk had gum on it. The floor was also coming up in places and the walls had water damage. A lot of the furniture and trim seemed to be made of cheap particle board and is falling apart from getting wet. This hostel feels rundown, they definitely need to do some repairs. Overall I'm disappointed and feel like I paid far too much for what I received.

The nicest parts of this hostel (compared to Loft House) where I stayed the following night were the sunny balcony, the bigger and more comfortable indoor lounge/kitchen area, and the attentive staff. The hostel probably needs better signage, as I walked past it three times before realizing what looked like an office building’s dark entrance was for the hostel upstairs.

Location is perfect! Terrace with view of the sea was amazing for breakfast and dinners. Size of flat and conditions makes you feel comfortable during your stay

The staff were amazing. The location is AWESOME. The lack of a more private shower and more bathrooms.

Facilities were better and more comfortable than other hostels in central Barcelona, for a similar price. There is a comfy communal area here with a generous outdoor patio, and the hostel offers some social programs without being a party/drinking place. I would choose this place if I stayed in Barcelona again. Location was close to a very nice area just below Gracia, and there are metro stops nearby. This is not located in the tourist-saturated core, the Barrio Gotic. The breakfast was not as generous as other hostels, and it was not as easy to avoid eating processed wheat flour. More gluten free options for breakfast would be appreciated.

Everything was clean and quiet. I felt safe. Good location. Room/bed was ready early. Staff was multi-lingual and very pleasant. Very pleasant hostel. nothing

Clean hostel with bed curtains and a nice chill area that has an indoor and outdoor space.

Breakfast is very late. 8:00am and every tour is before this time. The room is very cold and the heater isn't work in my room. You need 3 pillows to sleep comfy.
-
The room was clean and comfy. And Breakfast was a surprise! Nice attention!
-
Location Active construction and how tiny the kitchen was
-
Staff was rude. Had some noise issues through the night and staff did not intervene. Breakfast not worth the cost.

The lockers are far from the beds inside the bedroom, and there are not dedicated facilities for coworking.

I travel to Barcelona on occasion and The Central House is my first choice when looking for a Hostel,When it's not been available I've tried others, some were good , some were not...The Staff is outstanding, the facilities excellent and beds comfy....lots of nice common spaces for guests including a great patio...I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Barcelona...
