TownePlace Suites by Marriott Austin Parmer/Tech Ridge

The last time we stayed at this hotel it was in 2018 and back than it was just a few months new. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the grounds and the hotel have been maintained. The room was orderly and clean and the amenities were excellent. It's hard to find a better experience for the price. We're definitely staying there the next time we're in Austin.

Would definitely stay here again. Very well maintained property. The fitness room was really decent with treadmills and free weights.

Stayed here for almost 2 weeks - great place for a stay of this length. Nice size room and kitchenette was handy. Good breakfast and coffee was decent. Quiet, easy parking, etc…

in brekfest there was shortage of food items (Cream chees, mufins and more) in two out of the 4 days i stayed. When asked i was told that they run out of them and will get fresh supply the day after.... which was not relevant. Does not make sense to me that a hotel is not stocked for a reasonable breakfast.

Nice accommodations for a couple nights stay. Staff were polite and helpful. Property was clean and rooms were spacious. Would stay again if the need arises. Only unknown was the $4/day parking fee. Overall happy with my selection.

The breakfast was awesome. The staff was so nice. The only thing we did not like about our stay was the noise from the road while we were trying to sleep.

I love the staff they is always great to me What I didn’t like is the refresh I understand you don’t get new linen but when they made the bed up I thought new linen would be on the bed and it wasn’t then when housekeeping came up to change them there was a lot of brown stains on the bed I would highly suggest that yall put plastic on the beds so bed bugs don’t come so easily because when I seen that bed with no sheets I was nervous. And I like how the staff always move me but don’t get upset with me when I’m frustrated and have to move when I was just trying to get to my room from work and relax

I ended up doing three room switches due to cleanliness. Watch the stains on the couches and should’ve been moved to a fourth room the shower had a slow drip that would ting all night long. I made hotel staff aware, but nothing was fixed. I will not be staying at a Marriott ever again 90% of my interactions with hotel. Staff was very nice and people were very pleasant.

The photos of the room we stayed in made it appear bigger than it was. We reserved a room for four, but it was crowded once we opened up the sofa bed. That was the only concern I had. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean, modern with great ammenities.

It was clean. The breakfast was meh and the main reason I booked this particular one is because they showed to have a sitting area with a fire pit but when arriving the fire pit did not work. So that was a bummer.

The location was perfect. The staff was very nice and the place was very clean. We enjoyed the pool almost every day. The breakfast options were very good as well. On the day we were scheduled to have someone clean the room, they came pretty late. Other than that, no complaints

The rooms need to be thoroughly cleaned! I can smell smoke, I can smell men’s cologne! The appliances are worn down. The carpet is dirty. The bathroom floors were dirty! The shower was filthy.

Overall, very comfortable, quiet, and clean! The only issue my boyfriend and I had was the room we originally checked into the AC wasn’t working. But they were able to get us into a new room which we were very appreciative! 10/10 highly recommended.

The rooms are thoughtfully designed and provide everything that I need. Townplace suites is one of my preferred places to stay and I have stayed there many times. The temperature in my room was very cold and had to be adjusted by maintenance.

Food area was clean and food was hot and nicely prepared. Bread area lacked choice and jelly. So apparently there is a charge for parking at a hotel with more than enough spaces. I could understand if it was downtown - but it’s not.

It was a great stay. The office staff, especially Lisa, were amazing to deal with. We like the big rooms with plenty of space especially in the bathroom area. It’s nice that 2 people can get ready while another person can be in the shower. The kitchen is great and has everything you need. Sadly the sheets are closer to sandpaper. We’d still stay here again.

This is a non smoke hotel but there was weed smell in the hallways. I think that pets should have a certain floor/rooms in the hotel. Especially when other guest have dog allergies.

Nice place, great bed, very comfortable, quiet, with a variety of eating options nearby. Poor security, though. Several cars were broken into in the parking lot the night wr stayed (including ours). No security guard, or even cameras.

However, our next day while resting in the beds we saw a bug crawling on the sheets. After trapping it and identifying it we came to the conclusion it was in fact a bed bug. We took it down to the front desk and the staff member was apologetic but didn’t seem too concerned. She even doubted our identification of the bug. They changed our rooms but that was about it. Luckily, they were nice enough to throw our clothes in their large dryers to hopefully kill off any hitchhiker bugs. After thorough inspection of the second room we decided to spend the second night there as well since we would be leaving in the morning anyways. Overall, disappointed with what originally seemed to be a nice place.

There was also water damage along floor near the tub, and a lot of visible mold in the caulking of the tub surround. The glass frame on the picture above the toilet was shattered but left in place, waiting to fall. The angled wood shelf that covers the pipes under the sink was broken and had fallen to the ground. The AC unit in the room also smelled musty/moldy, and the hallway were warm and musty. We were offered to switch rooms, but based on the smell of the hallway and the fact that they are comfortable renting out rooms with visible water damage and an obvious stench of mold/mildew, I didn't want to take the chance to move a weeks' worth of supplies to another room just to have to leave. So we left and went to a similar hotel nearby. We ended up staying at the Home2 Suites in La Frontera and it was AMAZING. Clean, smelled great, and wonderful air quality and breakfast and service.

Our original room had odor, found out it was broken dishwasher, she got us switched really quick. The second room, was clean and nice, however shower wouldn’t maintain temp due to the handle being loose. I will say I don’t expect 5 star when paying lower cost, so overall, it was alright and did the job.

The manager emailed me on Tuesday saying they appreciated my business. He was supposed to call and never did. Needless to say, I won't stay here again and I will give the manager a resounding zero when the survey comes out. No police called, report filed, no compensation offered from manager or Marriott. We were not even asked if were were okay. Funny how fast the parking lot got cleaned up after the incident. I thought it was going to be a safe place to stay but unfortunately it was not.

It was very unorganized and only having one waffle maker doesn’t really help. A lot of people fighting and arguing over how much time spent on making waffles. Excellent in all aspects.

This property is so clean and the staff is so friendly. They made our group of parents feel so welcome. We are always a group of about 6-10 rooms deep. We clean up after ourselves and they gave us everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our time there. They did everything with a smile even at the busiest breakfast time.

This hotel has a weird smell I do not recommend

The thermostat would not stay off. It was cold for my children and it would randomly start the AC from an off state by itself. The ceiling is thin and could here everybody above us walking around at 230am to 4am. If you are planning to use the sofa bed in the king suite, once the bed is unfolded there is no room to get to the window side of the bed. You have to crawl over your partner to use the restroom. On a good note neighborhood is quiet and plenty of places to eat around the area. Oh and they charge you a parking fee in a non gated parking lot.

The room overall was pretty cute but i did see some dirt on the shower wall so i know that wasn’t cleaned properly, so who knows what else wasn’t cleaned right. I didn’t feel super safe at the hotel at night because i heard a noise that sounded like fireworks popping? (I’m hoping it was) didn’t ask the front desk since it was so late at night. And when i was checking out it looked like a man was going to fumigate the room right across from me so i was a little worried after that, i hope they don’t have bed bugs because i was so close to the other room. Other than that front desk seemed really nice, parking does not come with the hotel and you do have to pay extra for that which really lame, the hallway going to the room kind of smelled as well as the water faucet in the restroom. The elevator also seemed like in a very interesting place, you have to walk down the hallway just to use it when it’s usually near the front desk just different from what I’m used to. I wouldn’t go back to the hotel, too expensive to have to pay for parking and to have a dirty room, and to not feel safe definitely would go somewhere else.

Cleanliness.

Breakfast was until 0930, but many items including coffee were out and not repenished at 0910. Bathroom door squeaks so loudly that it wakes sleeping person at night. Only one towel rack, noplace to handg towel at sink or wet bath towels to use again. Towels were not replaced . toilet tissue holder points downward and tissue falls on floor. Room is attractive, bed is comfortable. What breakfast was there was good.

Clean. Good service. Full kitchen. Nice beds. Great shower products. Excellent location. Good breakfast.

I stayed to study for an exam near by and it was perfect. Desk area ample and quiet

It was good except for the kitchen which had a 2 burner stove but no oven. It also had no skillet which complicated my cooking plans.

Came into town for a concert for one night. It was clean, away from the hustle and bustle of city traffic, but close to food and shopping. Check in was quick and easy. Price was perfect.

Great location, very new and clean. Just wish they had a jacuzzi.

My TWO comments: 1. PLEASE fix the printer. It’s NEVER been operational and the only way to print is to send an email to the front desk. Really? You can’t get an IT person to fix this issue in a year!!??? 2. This place was obviously built by and for people who are 6’ or taller. The vertically challenged like me (5’ 0”) cannot reach the plates, glassware … and the microwave! (The microwave is ABOVE my head!! Terrified I’ll tip something hot on me!) Have had to call the front desk to get plates, etc. down for my stay. (I asked to stay in an accessible room last time … and it has all the plates, etc. in a “pantry” type cabinet, which is much better for those of us who are short.) 3. Love the new shower design … but wish there was a door on the back end of the shower to keep the heat/warmth in. Front desk personnel are fantastic!!

Quiet. Nice 20 minute ride to the city. Lot of food options nearby. Would stay here again the next time I go to austin.

It was a nice hotel but they did not disclose that you had to pay for parking which the La Quinta next door you do not so beware of the fees they add on to the booking

The only thing that I noticed was the room smelled funky like it was stale. Other than that, it was all wonderful! The bed was fantastic and the shower was amazing! The room was clean and I really loved the kitchen was fully stocked with a really big fridge that was a pleasant surprise.

Being part of Marriott you have an expectation and it was met. We will stay at this location again.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Made you feel at home.

Hidden charge for parking(they don't tell you up front). You get card to put on top of dashboard. Card tells you the daily charge, agent never mentioned charge, just said put in front dashboard. Breakfast not good. Use alternate breakfast options if you stay here. Just drink the Orange/Apple or Cranberry juice then go somewhere to get breakfast.
