There was no coffee, only decaf and few options for breakfast. The room was clean and confortable

We booked here because it was convenient for a concert at the Moody Center across the highway. Not disappointed! Free parking, easy to walk to venue, did not hear traffic noise inside room, free breakfast was nice. Don’t let the need for some new paint keep you away if you’re looking for a budget friendly option.

This is an inexpensive motel that is in a decent location.

The room was nice, notably clean, and comfortable; however, the pool was out of commission and the gym equipment is outdated.

The location is great for taking a quick ride to downtown. Close to shops and places to eat. The Moody Center is close, we took an Uber to a concert there, but walked back. The beautiful state capitol building is near. The swimming pool is nothing to write home about, but we were able to relax and cool off in it. The pool was clean. Staff were polite. We did not check out the breakfast, chose to door dash food and coffee in the morning instead. The motel is very run down and out dated. You had to go to the desk if you wanted ice, as the other machines were broken. The air conditioner was an old model, however it did cool the room enough to relax. The toilet had bad pressure and you had to flush it at least 2-4 times (even for toilet paper alone). The sink kept clogging up, and the shower curtain would not stay closed, so water always got on the floor. Furniture was old, a strip on the floor was coming loose and easy to trip on. There was black mold on the inside of the bathroom door at the base where the wood was rotting away. The beds were not very comfortable. Bedding and towels were old, some stains but appeared clean as could be. I wish I would have taken more pictures of the room. The pictures on the hotel site and Booking.com are clearly old, from when the place was newer.

Free parking is the highlight. The beds are updated. That's the best plus. They actually meet the Wyndham standard. But everything else is so run down. Not to mention the mold on the shower curtain. I showered standing on a towel. The location is good for the Moody Center and the staff was super friendly!

Very close to the amphitheater, which is where I was headed for a concert. Well, it’s over the highway. It’s not that loud at night and feels relatively safe… Can get lime scooters also right outside the hotel if you’re lucky.

Dated on the outside but well appointed and clean rooms. Can't beat price and location. Just 3 short blocks from Franklin's BBQ. Exterior could stand with some sprucing up.

Motel staff very friendly, room was clean and cold AC and within walking distance to Moody Center. Motel is older and showing signs of age, but the price was the best for our budget and I would stay there again.

This is the kind of place you are just sleeping and showering in. You're not going to be staying in the room for long cause there lots to do in Austin, so expect too much. Also don't expect extras like hair dryer, or iron for your cloths.

This motel is just across the freeway from UT Austin so is convenient for function attendees. Noise was definitely greater than we would have liked.

The toilet and TV did not work. When I called the front desk that evening to report the issue, I was told a maintenance person would be there in 15 minutes. He never showed up that night.

The next morning I told the same girl it did not work. That evening. No remote replacement. Checked out the next day. Still no replacement remote. I have been staying in this motel for 27 years. There has almost always been a problem of some kind. But it is located near my work. The beds are comfortable.

It was okay! The price sky-rocketed due to the SXSW Film Festival, which was unfortunate... but it is what it is! I didn't try their breakfast, or use the pool, so I can't speak much on that. But the overall stay was fine. I was just there to sleep lol. Overall I enjoyed my stay. The motel has a "Florida Project" charm to it, which was cute.

Nothing The bolt lock to our room broke as we tried to lock it and the staff said it was our fault. It was rusted and corroded to the point that it was falling off. The wall had two holes in it. The fridge was leaking and not cold and the bathroom light was non existent. If we shut the bathroom door it’d be dark.

the room itself had minimal items as well. exactly 3 towel sets. most things look to be on their last leg.

Dirty box spring with no cover. Toilet flusher broke after second flush. Pool was dirty and smelled. Room smelled bad like chlorine.

Parking wasn't secure, first thing you see is a sign that says the hotel isn't liable for damage to your car or theft. The rooms were muggy and humid.

My room had the bare minimum which was okay but the bath tub and a fowl smell in-bedded in it. I turned on the air since it was hot and the same smell came out so just slept in the hot room. I went to the office desk once at night and again in the morning was told that management would talk to me and then sent an email to the gm and have yet to receive a response

It was so dirty we didn’t even stay. I have asked for a refund that I haven’t received. I have pictures. Mold around bathroom floor/tub, hair in bed sheets, smoke smell even though it said 100% smoke free rooms. One bed didn’t have bed skirt and the box spring was very stained.

Horrible night. My AC broke and called and talked to the staff and they said they'll call me back. They didnt and had to sleep in a warm room, then maintenance came by after i told them again in the morning. They had to replace the whole AC unit right before we checked out.

This hotel isn't anything to get excited about. The beds are fine, shower got hot, and the ac works. Plenty of parking, breakfast offered, and some snacks you can purchase. Now if you're looking to take a bath then tub doesn't have a stopper. If you're looking for a location with good stores around, you're looking at a 15 minute walk. If you're looking for a room with a closet or blinds, these aren't the ones for you.

Staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel is older and the outside is rough. The hotel is next to a noisy road. I think staying here is ok if you have low expectations and want to save $. The bed was fine. It was close to lots of local Austin places. It was easy to uber around if you don’t want to drive in traffic.

The motel is located in such a convenient location. It is easy to move throughout the city or to travel on foot into downtown Austin. The room was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The room could use a facelift, but it was great for the price and location in Austin.

I will be honest, the staff is very friendly but every room I walked past you physically see MOLD on all of the curtains, there was also mold under the refrigerator where it sits. That has to be a health hazard

The property looks dumpy when you pull into the parking lot but the rooms wetsurprisingly clean. However, when I had an issue with the television, the person on duty was unable and uninterested in helping me resolve the problem. Good location, though, and reasonably priced.

Clean, comfortable, has just what you need nothing more. The front desk employee was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good! Beds were comfy, TV worked and shower was hot with good pressure. Nothing really. The bottom of the front door needs a little repair as there was a large gap at the bottom. Critters could potentially come in. Room 218.

Location was great for my needs. Room was adequate. Room need upkeep. Needed lights in the bulbs. The light betwween the beds had one socket broken and could not take a new lightbulb. No one knew how to work the TV in selecting channels. So I was unable to watch TV. Carpet needed shampooing. The socks I wore while walking around the room were very dirty after 2 days.

It is important to have receptionists who are well trained and who know how to treat guests, not like machines. There was a very small breakfast room in which guests could not have breakfast at the same time, the bathroom sink was clogged, and the outside design was different from what I was expecting.

The hotel was in walking distance to Moody Center and the other hotels were over $200 more a night. All we needed was a bed to sleep in because we weren't there even 8 hours in the room.

The maid tried to steal my bottle of liquor. After checking in, I went to my room on the first floor and I put my bottle of alcohol in the fridge. I used the bathroom and the toilet didn’t flush, also the colorful blankets on the beds were stained, gross. I gathered my things and I went to the front and requested a new room. They gave me a new room on the 2nd floor and told the maid to clean the room that I just left right before she was leaving for the day. I get into my new room, then quickly realize that I forgot to grab the alcohol out of the fridge in the first room. So I ran outside to flag the maid down and said I forgot something in the fridge. All of the sudden, she pulls my bottle of alcohol out of her car then says “I was about to take it to the front desk” which is a lie because her car was parked right next to the front office and need I say again, she pulled it out of her car. I ran downstairs to grab it and she repeatedly stated that she was going to take it to the front desk. So, be careful staying here. Also, the sheets in my new room were stained and had cigarette burns in them. You get what you pay for I guess.

Sorry, but I didn't even make it in! The outside of this place gave me pause. It's completely run down from the outside and honestly when I pulled in I thought it was no longer open. Nothing about it made me feel safe so I opted not to even get out of my car! Money wasted.

I really wasn't expecting much from this motel. I did arrive 2 hours earlier than the check-in time of 3:00 and the young lady said I'd have to come back or pay an additional fee. We walked around the lake for a couple of hours and then came back after 3. The young man who checked us in was really professional and kind. The room, upstairs, was free of water-stained ceilings and it appeared to be quite clean and cozy. Overall, pleasantly surprised !

There was mold/biogrowth throughout the unit. The light shield of the lamp had mold on the back. The restroom has it throughout. Also the door lock was very loose. The pool dirty. Front desk customer service not to par. Housekeeping was very nice.

I wish there was more than one waffle maker; we weren't able to score breakfast waffles because the entire population of a small Eastern European nation, apparently, beat us to the single appliance and completely monopolized it until breakfast service was over. I don't hold it again the motel staff, however. Would stay again.

• Water pressure was decent • the bathroom sink faucet was normal, not one of those annoying “fine mist spray” styles • The towels are better than the normal hankie-sized non-absorbent type we find in many motels - not overly luxurious but pretty good • the Bed was fine • Decent sized TV (though whoever the provider is, they could use an updated user interface) The not so good: • The facility seems to have been crammed into an odd corner; certainly an unorthodox parking lot and access/egress but that of course cannot be changed at this point. • Not sure about the immediate area - looks sketchy but I could be wrong. • More directly, it seems maintenance might be an issue - as in: • walking into room, the single ceiling light’s bulbs were dead (the wall lamps between the beds were fine, and they replaced the bulbs immediately) • shower - a 3+” L-shaped crack in the floor of the (one piece fiberglass style) tub • shower - the shower plunger works, but still allows plenty of water to spray out of the faucet rather than diverting all the water to the head • shower - drain was a bit slow, but did finally empty the tub • hair dryer switch completely inoperable, which explained why it was left unplugged (as plugging it in was the only way to turn it on)

We later got the towels, but there is only one person running the hotel, and with all good will, he is spread to thin. The outdoor pool was dirty, not only leaves but also trash floating in it. The room was clean, but the toilet seat was loose. As a cheap hotel for one night, it is ok, it is in 15 min walking distance to the capitol, it has parking and it is cheap, but I think next time I would invest the money for a better hotel.

I canceled my reservation to were I wouldn’t be charged and come to find out the next morning they charged me for the room and now I am having a hard time getting my refund back

man at reception desk was rude, abrupt and acted like I was stupid for not knowing there was an ice machine in the corner away from the office, but all in all, our stay was good and close to softball field event, 6 minutes away.

Only issue, I had to call motel to get some to check me in.... there were peole in line to check in.

The room was spotless, the bed comfortable and A/C nice and cool. The parking area, stairwells and pool and deck were not very attractive.

I like the cost, as a great average-low level experience. For the price range, I think some simple adjustments like a fresh paint job or tub replacement would raise the value. They are obvious upgrades that need to be made. But that’s nitpicking and for the price, it serves its purpose. Don’t let this discourage you from staying here if this is in your range. The days in have been solid for me on this trip. I would surely stay again at this price point.

It was not what I expected. I didn’t stay at the property. I did not feel safe at this hotel. People smoking outside my door, room smelled of smoke. I Checked out an hour after arriving. I went to another hotel.

I really enjoy staying at this no frills hotel. The staff is always friendly. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is waffles, cereal, yogurt etc. It’s so close to downtown yet not in the middle of noise.

Great bargain. Was not luxurious or fancy. Had a little bit of mold around the shower handles (but I have that at home too). And there were a couple small ink stains on the coverlet. But otherwise clean and tidy. If you’re more concerned about price and location near downtown Austin, this is the place for you!!

I liked the location of the property and the bed but that was it. The pool was filthy (algae, dirty water), the tv didnt work, meaning it turned on but we couldn't access any channels whatsoever. We had to watch "TV" on our phone. I called the front desk numerous times but no one ever answered. The shower curtain didn't close all the way on both ends so the shower floor was getting soaked. You stepped out into water puddles. Parking is very limited.

Was horrible we stay there only less than an hour, ask them about any kind of refund and deny, also ask hoteles.com for help and nothing

Pool was out of order and no notification received. The rooms were not great. Shower curtain did not close properly and room in general disrepair. The only redeeming feature of our stay was the location, it was a short walk to downtown bars and tourist attractionns.

the bed was ok and clean but the toilet barely flushed, the lamp shade was beat up. the breakfast was cereal. a lot of workers stay here. walkable to East 7th. just the room was dingy and noisy due to close proximity to busy roads. Don't expect a robe or anything fancy. It's a roof, a bed and water.

The outside looks unappealing, but the rooms were surprisingly clean and comfortable which is what matters most to me.

Staff was courteous. Room was clean and tidy.

The room was very clean and comfortable. I was in a room by the freeway so I could hear the traffic but I had a view of the Capitol bldg. it was a great stay! I would book again.

I checked in. Went to eat supper. Got ready for bed and found the TV remote would not work. Took it to the front desk and was given a replacement remote. That one didn't work either. I was too tired to go back to the front desk so I went to the sink to wash my face - There was only a pencil-lead thin stream of water that barely dripped out. I cycled the shutoff valve for both hot and cold water. They seemed to work fine but the hot water still did not work. I was too tired to go back to the front desk so I went to bed. At checkout the next morning I gave a note to the clerk detailing my problems with the room. I asked for some "consideration" on my bill. I was told, Because you did not report it last night there is nothing I can do." I told him I go to the office last night and was given a new remote but that one didn't work either. He still said there was nothing he could do. That was not the way I expected to be treated. I had been polite in all my conversations with the clerk the night before and that morning. I am sick and tired of shoddy maintenance and not getting my money's worth. As I stated earlier, I have stayed in that motel many times in 25 years and would like to stay there again because it is very convenient. 6th. Perfect stay.

Internet is horrible so you can't work except by using a hot spot.

Keys didn't always work- need to shake the door. TV in first room didn't work at all, and after switching rooms, the second TV only started working on the second day. No room service at all. You have to empty your trash,

The roo. Was dated but clean and it did not smell. One of the bed covers looked unclean but it was old but it did not stink, just looked dirty. The room really was clean and i thank them for that.

Very loud road noise and garbage trucks right outside our room at 7:00 am. Small room in poor condition specifically the bathroom. Trailer full of box springs as you enter and garbage was scattered around the property. Nice staff.

Got there early and they were willing to hold our bags for a couple hours until our room was ready location is outstanding to downtown, the university and places we had to be east of the interstate. walked everywhere with no problem would have been nice to have a couple more towels since there was no service between days we stayed. breakfast was convenient but we passed as it was not to our liking. door to the room had gaps and road noise was very loud. internet cut out every 5-10 minutes for 2-3 minutes which made working a bit of a problem. Asked the desk for help with it and they had no solutions. tv controller didn't really control the menu on the tv so we had to scroll through all the channels to see what was on

This properly externally is not maintained.The room I stayed in also appeared worn down. Disappointment in several areas.

Best budget hotel in Austin.

I think the motel needs updating it needs to be painted on the outside the building the steps leading upstairs updating the office on the inside the grounds landscape needs to be redone your needs to be cut it just needs to be cleaned up. The staff was excellent they were courteous always had smiles on their faces and was willing to help in any way they could.

Very clean room and parking lot. It is in downtown Austin and we had a view of the state capital building. Breakfast is served until 10 and check out was at 11. We were only an exit from the Moody Center, which was perfect for the concert!

I couldn’t pass up this stay for the price and positive reviews. The exterior looks a bit shabby, but the staff are very helpful and kind. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

This was a horrible stay as the wall in my room had blood and mold on it, right by the headboard to my bed and the TV had a blue hue to it resulting in a really bad picture. I’ve made multiple in person and online attempts to have a manager remedy these concerns and their lack of motivation to reply has been pretty much non existent.

Bed was comfortable. Room was tight. Property looked like a no tell motel. But it served its purpose for what we needed. Cheap lodging for the weekend. Get what you pay for.
