staff was very helpful. air was stuffy in the rooms. room was old and almost falling apart. construction and renovations are being done. breakfast was mediocre.

This place is just gross! I got like a dozen emails reminding me that they’re smoke free and tampering was a no - no and all that only for the smoke detector in our room to be ripped out of the wall. The sockets were all loose, hair on the shower wall that was definitely not ours. We couldn’t wait to check out!

My window didn't lock. There was blood on the ceiling of my bathroom. There were no sheets on one of the beds. Felt like a bush tucker trial.
- 2/5
Nothing special, decent location, only food trucks in the area no restaurants so prepare to order delivery.
- 3/5
Property was under renovation and noise was loud starting at 8:30, so we couldn’t sleep in.

Room was alright, pool was dirty, the building as a whole is in neglect.

There is no free parking at this location. You will be charged nearly 50 a day for each night you stay overnight. They say it's valet but I parked my own car each time. The room smelled weird, door barely worked.
- 3/5
1 night travel stay. Only paid parking or hard to find street parking. Pretty run down complex. Probably would not stay again.

Staff was nice and it was close to where we needed to be. The rooms were so hot and ac barely blew. Carpets were nasty. Bathrooms had mold in sinks and walls. Room walls had crack and mold on them. Breakfast was horrible.

The room was nice and cold when we arrived and the beds were nice and clean. The bathroom I’ve been wiped down, but was not as clean as one would expect a bathroom to be the breakfast was lovely and the staff there was welcoming and very, very nice they made the stay exceptional. There was soap scum on the outside of the tub and on the sink fixtures in the bathroom, clumps of soap.

The valet staff was friendly. The front desk staff during our check in was friendly and check out staff. The others during the day Saturday and Saturday night were not friendly. Our room had holes in the doors, door handle broke off. Mirrors not clean, bathtub was nasty and old. The pictures on here are not what the facility looks like at all. They are super old photos. Pool was not clean at all.

Nothing. This hotel is a joke that should be demolished. Filthy. The lights in the room didn’t work, and some didn’t even have lightbulbs. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. This hotel is a joke, exposed wires coming out of the walls, construction happening at 9 PM on a Saturday night, worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

So many unexpected fees. There is a $75 deposit required additional to your room to make sure you aren't smoking in your room. I chose a non smoking room. Valet parking is mandatory! You are not allowed to park your own car and it costs 20 to 45 dollars for it that's not included. You dont have access to your car at night because they lock the keys in the lobby. Not very securely either. Anyone has access to that cabinet. Didn't even go in the room. While we were leaving several people were trying to get a different room because there was blood on the sheets and it was dirty. Never staying here again.

Our room had a musky smell, when we first entered it. There were dirty clothes in the corner, which indicates the housekeeper didn't vacuum the carpet. We had coffee packs, but no sugar condiments or cups to make coffee in our room. La Quinta can do better.

They never mentioned on the website that parking cost $45 per day—almost more expensive than the rental itself.
- 2/5
No self parking, which is ridiculous since this is a 2 star hotel. Toilet broke, no blow dryer in the room. Hallway smelled like urine. On the fip side, very comfortable bed, room was clean and great shower.

Place is disgusting
- 1.5/5
The location was great, we were attending a concert at the Moody Center. The room was fine, not super clean or updated, the whole place really needs to be cleaned and updated. We were very disappointed in not having a micowave, mini fridge or even a coffee pot in the room. We had to ask for Washcloths and towels. We went to the pool and it was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for some time. The breakfast situation was a joke, Not enough space for the amount of people in there. There was a long line of people waiting for the 1 waffle machine. The Breakfast sandwiches that were offered, we had to heat up ourselves in the 1 microwave. And they ran out fast. No lids for hot coffee.
- 1/5
First I want to say, staff was good and friendly. However, the property itself in poor condition, the rooms not very clean, strong smelled of mold, hair dryer and room did not work, the three days we were there there was no maid service, we were told that housekeeping only comes after three days. Parking was a fiasco, they charge 40+ dollars per day for parking and we had no choice but to park on a parking lot 2 to 3 blocks away which came out a lot cheaper for us. The elevators were very slow and all in all the property needs much attention. I would not stay here again or recommend
- 1/5
No water in the toilet, tub water faucet was broken, bedsheets smelled, some lights werent working.. had to pay 35 dollars to park, too expensive for the quality honestly. Never again.
- 2/5
Upon driving up to the property, our thoughts were, “what have we booked?Laquinta’s are usually nicer than this.” It was an open air property, meaning the hallways and doors were exposed to the outside. Not the safest option. Valet was $45/night with no self park option. That in and of it’s self was a joke, because having valet infers that your property is nice and this place was not. There were elevators, but after using it once we took the stairs, because it was small and dirty and honestly we weren’t exactly sure it could even make it up one floor safely. Upon entering our room, the popcorn ceiling was hanging down in a couple of different spots. Clearly no upkeep is happening at this property. There’s no way they should be charging $135/night for that. They should have paid us the $180 we spent to stay there.

NOTHING!! It was the grossest hotel I have ever seen
- 1/5
We chose this hotel based on its advertised quality and location; however, the room and facilities have not met reasonable expectations. We found cleanliness issues, including an unclean toilet, strong odors, visible moisture damage, and a bathtub in poor condition. Additionally, the valet parking service does not appear to provide the level of service described, despite the significant nightly fee. Given these issues, I do not believe we received the quality of accommodation we paid for.
- 3/5
Powerwashing the entire place during my stay. Understandable this needs to be done, but while accepting reservations? No warning? Could barely walk on sidewalks, stairways, or hallways due to pooling water.
- 1/5
We chose the hotel for location, which it was close to the Moody Center and the main downtown area. Location is all this hotel has going for it. As we pulled up it looked run down and we decided to utilize the vallet parking (regrets, explain later) The gentleman we checked in with was the only kind/helpful employee we interacted with. So shout out to him. The elevators were gross and floor of them was all beat up and stinky. We finally made it to our room and immediately there were issues. The safety lock on door was broke, there was residue on walls, curtains broken, etc. we asked for a room in better condition and the gentleman at the desk said that our room was considered one of their best kept rooms. The following morning we packed up to leave, went to lobby and weighted for vehicle after doing the digital request. After awhile we asked the front desk about our vehicle status. We were told by the younger lady, who smelled like booze, that the valet was late to work and didn’t know when he was arriving. She then told us we could go through the keys in the desk, find out and then go find our vehicle. Wild. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again. Not even for another overnight.

Nothing! Yall.need to check your Hotels in this site We cancelled on site. This place is disgusting. Why would I pay 50 for parking to have someone break into my car. It has homeless people all over site. It was rundown and dirty as he'll. Needs to be taking off this site. Hopefully we get a refund or ill have to call LA Quinta and Booking.com This place is only suitable for people of the night and people that need setting other than a concrete pad.

The pictures do not match the ones online so it was a bit of a surprise when we checked in. We did find some cockroaches in our room and had trouble opening the door. The staff were helpful but I wouldn't recommend staying here longer than 3 nights.

For a last-minute trip the location and price was very convenient. You’re basically paying for location more than anything. A couple issues. It could definitely be upgraded. A few bulbs were out so lighting was poor, the bathtub scared me so we didn’t use it. The amenities were OK, served their purpose, there was a pool and complimentary breakfast. Staff was helpful and accommodating. I called to check in. They said my room is ready and so I tried to go ahead and drop off bags, but they still wanted to charge an early bird fee.
- 2/5
The staff were very friendly and helpful! However, the pool area was very dirty and had dead plants all around it, and the keypad to the pool was broken which made it difficult to use. The room was cozy, but the floors were not clean and the bathroom doors wouldn’t shut. The headboard on one of the beds was broken, and only one bed had a duvet. The hallway to our room smelled horribly and needs a good clean. Breakfast was delicious though, and it was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.

Nothing. Not welcoming at all. 1. Parking is an inconvenience. Expensive. Limited spaces. How do we have to pay almost the same amount that I am paying for my night stay? It is a scam and a very profitable one. Lack of security in an open space is very bad.

This location is not well cared for. The comforter on the bed had a wet stain on it. At a closer look, there were blood stains on the comforter. Seems like housekeeping tried to clean it. I called housekeeping. They came and changed the linen and comforter on the bed. There was no light in the bathroom. There was no door to the bathroom. The carpet was sticky. The TV came on, but took about 10 minutes for the screen to come on. The breakfast buffet considered of frozen sausage biscuits and two kinds of cereal. No spoons. Only forks. Self-parking, because Valet was not available due to short-staffed. Parked two levels down. No elevator to come back up. This was definitely not a good experience.

Con - floors not very clean. There was a coffee pot, but no cups. No cups in bathroom. Hand towel and bath towels, but no wash cloths. Couldn’t use pool as no keys worked on gate. One of the two elevators bounced quite a bit and felt like it was going to fail when it reached the floor and its door would stick half way closed when it stopped. Breakfast was not as described. With updating and better maintenance this place could be a gem. The staff was well trained and provided excellent service.

The location The room did not feel clean. The bathroom floor was sticky and dirty, and the shower looked dirty and smelled like urine. One of the beds had the pillows with gray lint or fuzz on it, which made it feel unclean. The hallway was also dirty, and the TV was not working. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance were very disappointing and did not meet expectations.

The parking attendant for PMC was rude from the moment I just drive in the parking lot.
- 1/5
We had to change rooms 2 times. The first time was due to the A/C not working. The second was due to the toilet leaking and not flushing. We had a double and had to accept a king for 3 adults good thing is we are family but still was a tight fit.
- 2/5
The room and hotel overall felt very rundown and poorly maintained. Four out of the six lights in the room didn’t work, including the bathroom vanity light, which made getting ready difficult in such a dim space. The mirror also had a noticeable film of dust or grime on it that made the room feel unclean. To make matters worse, the in-room phone didn’t work, so contacting the front desk wasn’t even an option. The bedding situation was strange as well — there was no actual blanket or comforter on the bed, just two sheets, so I ended up using towels to stay warm overnight. Breakfast was disappointing too. The food selection was minimal, and the toasters barely functioned; I had to physically hold the lever down the entire time just to toast anything. Overall, the property gave off a neglected, uncomfortable vibe. While the location is convenient, I would not stay here again.
- 3/5
The separate cost for parking was an inconvenience since there was a concert going on that caused parking to be limited.
- 1/5
Wall A/C unit was falling off the wall and leaking water onto the floor. The door only closed fully if slammed. The bathroom floor was dirty looking. The parking is expensive and difficult to get in and out if other cars are waiting (it’s run by the city). It’s a very old property in need of a major refresh, or just tear it down.

But this La Quinta Inn is something else, first it is obvious this La Quinta Inn has been neglected, it need some serious TLC. There was no hot water, found food on the floor, and there was no way I would have walk bare foot on the floor. The parking garage was dark, not very clean, and lights was flickering. This was something you would expect to see straight from a slasher movie. Needless to say, we check out early and went to another hotel

The whole staff was excellent. From the maintenance workers to the hotel receptionists were very courteous, educated, well trained and they made our stay comfortable. I was very impressed by their attitude and professionalism. The cleaning ladies were very helpful. The whole staff needs to be praised for their service. Everyone there needs a salary raise. Thank you for asking for my opinion.

Extremely disappointed and upset at our stay this past weekend. In my first room the light from the bathroom was not working and it actually had water liking from the room above into the light fixture. I was able to get another room however we had no hot water the entire time we were there. We were offered a discount which I have yet to receive yet my siblings have received theirs and we all have the same bank. Some of the graveyard shift members were extremely rude. Aside from also having to pay $45 per day for parking. Will never stay here again.

No hot water at property. They offered a refund if we wanted to cancel but we would need to ask hotels.com to request the refund. We accepted this but after numerous attempts they now aren’t honoring this and are charging me for room. Terrible property, very run down and mismanaged!

Immediately upon walking in, the elevator was shaky and the doors would only open and close halfway. Once we got to our first room, the toilet was completely clogged. We called maintenance and even reminded the front desk on our way out, but when we came back it still hadn’t been fixed, only to find out they didn’t even have maintenance available. They then switched us to another room, which was somehow even worse because it looked like they had given us someone else’s room. There were clothes and belongings everywhere. By the third room, we were exhausted and just accepted it, even though the main light didn’t work and only one bedside lamp turned on. On top of all that, the entire building smelled strongly of water damage and mold. If you’re only staying one night and barely plan to be in the room, it might be manageable, but if you want a comfortable stay and don’t feel like going on a room scavenger hunt, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

This property not up to the mark. I went with the brand name Windham. I thought Windham group is the best company, but I think with this kind of property you will loose your credibility in the market. No hot water, rooms are not clean, very bad smoking smell in the room which they allocated. My family felt very uncomfortable. I would request you to refund my money for the two rooms.

Room was not very clean, bathroom was dirty and had a urine smell. Air conditioner did not function correctly and the main room was not very clean as well. Parking structure was dirty as well. Stayed 20 mins and left the property to another stay at another hotel.

Nothing Everything, only 2 lights and 2 outlets worked in the entire room. Pillow cases had blood stains on them. The room wasn’t clean. There was debris all over the floor. The trash had an old adult diaper in it. There was also left behind belongings in the closet. Should not have been charged a $75 deposit for “damage”!!! The entirety of the facility was outdated and falling apart.

I was traveling in for work and accidentally booked the downtown location. I immediately regretted booking this motel upon driving up. Heavy homeless population outside, dirty and not welcoming at all. Building looks like an 80s motel they did a really poor face-lift on. The lady that checked me in was good but that's where the pleasantries stopped. They didn't inform of $32 per night parking on hotels.com. if I knew i was going to have to invest $180 for one night after deposit, i would have went holiday Inn. Once I checked in, room was sub-par at best. Door didn't seal properly allowing a crazy amount of outside noise in, room felt musty, blankets were paper thin, housekeeping did a marginal job cleaning before I got there, discovered multiple little tidbits of trash throughout the room. 1 am rolls around, people outside being loud. 5am rolls around and the bird noise and traffic noise woke me up and kept me up.

Location was great near most things downtown. It was disgustingly dirty. Nothing worked properly or at all.

Very close to moody amphitheater Very run down, smells like urine in some areas , door handle in my bathroom was broken

Parking sucked not safe
- 1/5
Following a 3 hour drive, I checked in at 5:30p, learning I’d need to pay $45 for valet car service except the valet guy explained he’d be leaving at midnight and so if I planned to leave at 6 am, I needed to self park my car… and still pay the $45. I found this stunning at best. I parked my car… discovering the spaces are not wide enough for a car. My 2017 Jetta was the same width as the spaces that appear to have been painted to accommodate only mini coopers. If any cars parked on either side of me, I’d need to get in through the trunk. Not kidding. I worried my vehicle would be damaged. It did not feel safe either. There was trash and debris all over, and a vandalized car with windows broken out parked in the corner, the entire garage was filthy, with no safe way out. The door where the elevator signs pointed to had a giant padlock on it… so I walked up two vehicle ramps to return to the hotel with my bags, which is not safe. There was no pedestrian walkway. Once in the room, I discovered the bathroom in shambles, and I did take pictures. The toilet was broken, as well as the tub. It looks like they simply prefer to leave the space in derelict condition, perhaps for people who rent them by the hour. I have stayed in much nicer hotels for significantly less in third world countries. I did not stay. I was there to attend an event, and simply used the room to store my overnight bags and because leaving them in the car was absolutely unsafe. I retu

This place is very nasty mattresses are stained n smells bad n I got fined for smoking when I don’t even smoke much less vape it’s ridiculous feels like your getting scammed the minute you check in n that’s sad because me and my family always use the the Quinta
- 1/5
I had to leave the hotel because the room was really dirty. Stained bed sheets, the room smelled really bad and bathroom towels were not even organized, just thrown in the sink looked like they were not cleaned. The said they had no more rooms available so I left.

- 4/5
Location and value. Austin is great!
- 1/5
I didn't even check in, I just turned around and drove back home. Disgusting, dirty, black homeless guys walking around outside, and they charge $35/night for PARKING.
- 2/5
Location. The $50 parking fee was a ripoff.
- 1/5
Front desk staff very helpful cleaning staff not soo helpful didnt speak english... room was ok (talking about the beds) just dirty, filthy, room wasnt vacuumed bathroom floor was dirty like not swept , we had spiderwebs , toilet was not working, ceiling was leaking. Breakfast was ok and kitchen was clean but over all the whole hotel was filthy WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN!
- 3/5
Although the room was large enough with a comfortable easy chair, a lamp did not work, the lights over bathroom sink did not work, the toilet was running but stopped that myself, but the bathtub water continued to run due to the faucet not working.
- 1/5
Poor property condition, dirty room, stinky smell
- 1/5
Very dirty and run down. We ended up not staying and canceled our stay and found something else. Property is very sketchy and dirty. Would not recommend.
- 0.5/5
Nothing. Very dirty and felt unsafe. Hotel stunk it was very dirty. Ghetto felt unsafe. Didn’t look like they cleaned anything. Photos very deceiving
- 2/5
Pros: I'm gone and don't have to deal with it anymore.
- 4/5
Great staff and they workit out great.
- 1/5
We liked having a place to sleep for the night. We did not like the poor customer service. The price of valet was $35 with no other available parking options. It smelled like urine all throughout the hotel. The front doors were not working, so we had to go through the side doors. Everything was old and looked sketchy. We felt unsafe. The shower was not clean or working. The carpet was wet, internet was down. Lights did not work everything was very dirty. We heard screaming and banging all night throughout our floor we stayed on.
- 2/5
Location was pretty central The stairs from the parking garage smelled bad and were covered with pee the hotel is suppose to be smoke free but u could smell weed and cigarettes also there is no free parking
- 3/5
A/C fine, had to pay extra to park on site so yrhe price on line does not include parking
- 1/5
Cons: Black smudges on walls, bath faucet detached from wall, intense mold smell in room, bathroom floor sticky, nightly parking fee to park on-site
- 2/5
The hotel smell like weed so bad!
- 1/5
The place was horrible.
- 0.5/5
Location Filthy, clothes in parking lots and stairway, bags of trash in hallways. Bathroom excessively dirty.
- 2/5
The bed was very comfy, and the check in staff were so friendly! However the piles of cigarettes and garbage around the stairwells was deterring, and the bathroom could definitely use some attention. The location was great.
- 1/5
property is run down, parking is horrible. The room was dirty. The tv had a black line right in the middle making it hard to see. There was bugs on the crawling on the wall. The shower was dirty and the water pressure was horrible. Staff was nice. Breakfast was okay but we got there an hour and a half before it was over and there was not much left other than coffee and cereal
- 3/5
The location was close to everything I needed and walking distance to many downtown bars an restaurants The valet parking. They ask you to spend so much money to park your car a night. They didn’t even have the valet present my first 2 nights but I was expected to tip the person who wasn’t there a minimum of $3 per night. I’m in the service industry so I’m all for tipping. But come on, when no one is there that’s absolutely insane.
- 0.5/5
Location Elevators bits working properly. Room not cleaned well.
- 1/5
Horrible
- 1/5
You have to pay for everything extra parking, microwave, mini fridge. The rooms were nasty mold and always pull off the sheets the mattress had blood or poop stains. The front desk lady was rude.
- 1/5
The room was the dirtiest I've ever been in! I travel a lot and this was definitely on par with a condemned roadside motel. The fact that there was a turd left in the toilet and no toilet paper to welcome us, gives the impression it was never cleaned. The bathroom door was literally delaminating, peeling apart from the top down. The corners of the carpeted room have NEVER been cleaned or vacuumed. Cob webs and pile of dust in every one. Room 413, stay away! We got it for $100 a night and now I know why. Absolutely pathetic to have La Quinta's name on this property! Clean your dang rooms and maybe the toilet daily!
- 1/5
They didnt have the room i paid for available, tv didnt work , bad plug, elevator door was stuck.
- 1/5
Parking at the hotel was $75 a night. Had to walk a block to a parking garage, which i paid $20 a night. The ice machine downstairs next to the breakfast lounge was disgusting and dirty. I wouldn't dare get any ice from that nasty machine. Also, one of the elevators was broken. I will never go to this hotel again. This is the worse La Quinta!!!
- 3/5
Parking was over priced and not enough spaces for guest
- 2/5
1. They only give you towels or change the sheets every 3 days 2. Half of the electrical outlets in the room didn't work 3. There was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom 4. The carpet was pulling away from the floor in 1 corner 5. No kleneex and very little toilet paper 6. They charge $45 per night to park your car The cleaning ladies were very cordial as was the front desk staff, but it is clear that management is less concerned with cleanliness and service thn with trying to gouge you for every $.
- 0.5/5
Location It had a terrible smell, crumbs on the floor, no blanket, no refrigerator, the ac had a mind of it’s own, never not even once did they come to clean my room.
- 1/5
This has genuinely been the worst experience I have ever had with a business in my life. I never leave reviews, but this hotel has been so horrible that I feel compelled to warn others to NOT EVER book here. To begin, the rooms in this hotel are a biohazard. There were finger nails on the floor, garbage on the table, urine left in the toilet, holes in the wall, hair in the shower, hair in the sheets, and stains EVERYWHERE. I mean everywhere. I wouldn’t even set my bags down in this hotel room. I went down to the hotel desk and very kindly explained the conditions and asked for a refund so my friend and I can stay elsewhere. She immediately agreed to the refund and sent us an email confirming the refund. She directed us to contact Expedia for the refund since we booked through them. Upon calling Expedia after our flight home, they informed us that we need the name of the employee or manager for the refund. I have spent 3 hours on the phone trying to get ahold of this location over the course of more than a week. I have called the front desk directly, sent emails to their specific email address, and spoke with multiple representatives with the larger hotel chain, none of which could get in contact with this location or provide me a name. No money was refunded.

- 1/5
By far the WORST hotel I’ve ever been at. The only redeemable thing about it was the staff. Fridge had mold and didn’t work, microwave was gross, paid for “valet parking” but had to still park my truck myself, the parking spaces were too small for even a car. I bought a deluxe hotel and the pictures show a large area with a couch but the only upgrade was the fridge, which didn’t work, and the microwave, which was disgusting. WiFi never worked. The drawers in the room were falling apart. The staff was nice at least. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
- 2/5
Parking area is dirty
- 0.5/5
Customer service is trash.
- 0.5/5
That it was downtown Had to pay for parking, crack head outside all night, didn’t have a top comforter just two flat sheets. One rag and asked for more they had none.
- 0.5/5
The time we spent in Austin in general Fork in microwave, mold in the shower, a dead cricket on the floor , and TV wasn't turning on.
- 5/5
Breakfast selection was small but still pretty decent nonetheless. Great location for exploring downtown austin!
- 5/5
Big breakfast. And close to capital and buses
- 1/5
- 2/5
The security isn't good at all
- 3/5
Good air conditioning, older place but within walking distance of the capital. Parking is not included with your room.
- 1/5
The TV was broken and almost fell on us. There was no soap and it had a mild smell of body odor. The AC cord was unplugged and we were too scared to plug it in due to maybe a faulty wiring. We left and are requesting our money back.
- 1/5
From walls inside room to bedding to carpet eve where you would look just terrible
- 4/5
Nice
- 3/5
No microwave or refrigerator which almost all hotels and motels have these days
- 1/5
no Blankets in the room Blood on the side of the bed Mold on the shower curtain
- 1/5
I did not stay. The room was disgusting. Stains in the bed mold in the bathroom and dirty bath tub. Room smelled like mold and there were cockroaches. The property and room look nothing like the pictures
- 1/5
Dirty rooms, no bathroom light, no soap and staff were rude
- 1/5
I needed a close location, so I stayed at this La Quinta. I know better next time.
- 1/5
I was charged $53.00 for parking in the parking lot of the hotel no valet was used for my car whatsoever. But I was told I couldn’t park in lot without getting a tag from valet crew or car would be towed. And then when my guest and I got to the room it was dirty the light fixtures and head boards full of dust curtain ripped and torn ac was sitting on top of bricks. Bed sheets were washed but all stained with what looked like blood and there were red splats on bathroom door which looked like blood. There were no towels in room asked front desk and they were suppose to be getting sent to room NEVER HAPPENED! Stairways to get to rooms stuck like urine and had trash all on floor ways. 2 lights didn’t work in the room. No ice machine as listed. Bathtub was peeling and dirty was just an awful stay. But since I had already booked and paid for the room for a trip out of town I had to stay in the room as all other rooms in surrounding hotels were booked fully and I had to but my own towels.
- 2/5
The stay room needs to be renovated.
- 2/5
These hotels were usually ok to stay for us in the past, so we booked La Quinta this time. But we were very disappointed. First, the parking was not available at the hotel, was already occupied. Second, our room was not even vacuumed, it was simply dirty. Third, so called refrigerator was not cold at all. Fourth, the price was still very high. We decided not even go for a breakfast next morning doubting in cleanliness of this hotel. Terrible.
- 1/5
The whole property was dirty and unkept. Maintenance issues everywhere, pay for parking at the onsite parking garage. Noisy and uncomfortable.
- 1/5
Let’s see. Room was dirty, rug not vacuumed, hair dryers (2) did not work, mold in the shower, leaky faucet in shower, thin (almost like a sheet) blanket, one of the two elevators would shake and rattle as it got to the fourth floor. The ceiling had popcorn - that’s not the issue - there was a 2’ x 3’ triangle shape missing from it. Spent one night. Didn’t try the breakfast because we didn’t trust it. I’ve stayed at La Quinta hotels before. While they are not 4 stars, they were at least clean and functional. Wyndham should be embarrassed to include this place in its system.
- 1/5
There was dog food in the restroom floor no sheets for the sofa bed. When I went to ask for them the lady at the front desk was rude and didn’t want to help or even get up her name was Blanca. They day front desk guy was very helpful but that’s as far as anything good. Would never stay there again or recommend anyone staying there.
- 1/5
This place is terrible. Mold and Mildew by the AC and in the bath room. It had the mildew smell in the room. The pictures make it look clean but the pictures don’t show how bad this place really is in person. La Quinta Inn, in general, are not very nice but this one has to be the worst I have ever stayed in. Do not stay here!!!
- 1/5
The condition of the hotel was very run down. There was no fridge, or microwave provided in the room, and the “valet” parking was not helpful for $100. The lights in the room were not working, only 3 lights were working, and the restroom shower was in terrible condition. Overall, not a good experience and would never stay agin or recommend to anyone.
- 3/5
Yes.
- 3/5
Front desk personnel is non informative. They asked for a $75 deposit after me paying the initial amount. Then at night time they charge an additional $35 for parking. Please ask questions before you stay.
- 1/5
Terrible
- 3/5
Elevator was not working properly during the stay
- 1/5
Old outdated hotel, elevator was extremely unsafe and shaking. Some room amenities did not work. There was an odor of what I could best describe as pesticides in my room. The room was tidy and appeared clean but it was so off putting getting to the room I was skeptical. Lights in bathroom did not work and AC didn’t want to function properly. Immediately checked out and cancelled. The staff wasn’t bad but whoever owns this place should be ASHAMED. Do better - this is literally feet away from the state capitol building, it’s horrid.
- 1/5
Parking was very difficult. Not enough spaces for a full hotel. The room smells horrible, there was a leak, the sink was clogged, mold in the ceilings, outlets not working.
- 1/5
Dirty tub. Broken toliet.
- 1/5
Place Was a DUMP. Photos online were very deceiving. Stains on the carpet, tub was gross. Paint sprayed on furniture. Lights flickered like the Twilight Zone.
- 1/5
.
- 2/5
We got our room only 3 of the lights worked. We pulled the blankets back to lay down and there were stains that looked like blood and curly hairs on the sheets. We went to the front desk immediately. Blanca apologized multiple times and gave us a different room. That room looked like there had been a previous fire in the room, the walls were dirty and the restroom lights didnt work. There was also a piece of toilet paper in the peep hole. I saw the name la quinta and immediately thought hotel. This is by far the WORST motel I've ever stayed at. We were laughing the whole time at how we got played. We were scared to sit on the toilet or use the shower cause there were stains in it.
- 1/5
All of the above.

It was not a good ho
- 1/5
mold in the shower, water damage all over the ceiling, crumbs on the floor and bed. horrible
- 2/5
The morning breakfast was sad. The coffee was brought in from Starbucks in "to go cartons" and was cold. There wasn't any hot water to add to the oatmeal packets. The entire building is old and falling apart. The gym was unavailable due to mold issues.
- 2/5
Multiple serious issues during my 2/20-2/21 stay: Could Not Access My Room: The stairwell door to my assigned 3rd floor room was broken and wouldn’t open. Returned to desk - was told to use the other staircase. That door was also broken. Had to return to desk a second time with my luggage. Finally relocated to ground floor room. Inferior Replacement Room: Ground floor room was extremely noisy (right by street - constant traffic). Floors had visible stains throughout. Bathtub drained very slowly - plumbing issues. Poor Maintenance: Two broken stairwell doors preventing access to an entire floor, stained floors, and slow drains indicate systemic maintenance neglect. Parking: $42/day parking fee buried in policies - discovered only at check-in. Found nearby garage for $12 instead. Positives: Front desk staff polite. Convenient downtown location. Bottom Line: Broken infrastructure and poor maintenance make this a bad choice despite the location. Many better options in downtown Austin at similar prices. Would not stay here again or recommend.
- 1/5
The room was dirty. The blanks and towels were dirty. The website don’t tell you that you have to pay for parking regardless of you paying for stay. The front desk lady she is RUDE I would not recommend this place at all!
- 1/5
If I could give it zero stars I would. To be a downtown hotel in Austin Texas is embarrassing. A/C didn’t work roaches moths trash left there eye lashes on bed.
- 5/5
Exactly as advertised. Well-located in downtown. Friendly staff and easy check-in and check-out. Room was clean and comfortable.
- 1/5
First Room was not cleaned at all messed up sheets and stained towels in the restroom, then gave us a second room the A/C was not working in that room. And then they said we don’t have any room left.
- 2/5
The light did not work in the bathroom, and the bathtub was filled with water when I arrived, and it was very slow to drain.
- 1/5
Staff was fine, property was disgusting. Bathrooms were a mess, mold, and paint chipping off the ceiling
- 2/5
Overall a rundown hotel needing major renovation.
- 1/5
I won't recommend to anyone.
- 1/5
Hotel was gross
- 2/5
They charge overnight parking $45!! Insane. The hotel seemed sketchy. We ended up not checking in. We'd rather pay the cancelation fee than actually stay at the hotel.
- 4/5
Staff. Very friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
The only good thing about the place was the continental breakfast, which was reasonably ok: prepackaged fruit, fresh oranges, and a make-your-own-waffle setup.
- 1/5
Disgusting room quality.
- 1/5
I pulled up to the Motel and drove away. There were at least 10 unhoused people milling around and the visible areas were dirty and littered. I was scared to see the inside of the rooms. Ended up staying at Hilton Garden Inn for not much more $.
- 2/5
Completely opposite of what the photos advertised. Cable in master bedroom didn’t work. Light in bedroom didn’t work. Chandelier over table only had one working lightbulb. Pullout sofa bed mattress might as well had just been a yoga mat it was completely flattened. One of the AC units did work. Thermostat in dining area was just for show
- 3/5
The ac did not work
- 1/5
Those rooms are disgusting, I wouldn't dare to walk barefeet on that carpet
- 4/5
All in all, a good value if you aren’t a fussy traveller. I’d stay here again.
- 5/5
Staff is always great, old hotel, bgreat location, excellent value
- 3/5
The pool is a swamp. The sheets stained with something. Hair in the tub. Budget accomodation if you are not with your wife. Also valet parking fee of 50 dollars even if there are empty spots in the hotel where you park youseld
- 1/5
Toilet dont work in any rooms. Really gross rooms.
- 2/5
.
- 1/5
The room had stains on the walls. The bathroom light did not work and the TV was broken. TV had a line going through it. I had no issue with staff. But room quality was quite bad.
- 3/5
The room qas in a decent condition but it is a outdated. The paking in not includes witht the stay. You have to pay a separate fee for parking withing the hotel premises besids youy stay. However, the staff was friendly and courteous.
- 4/5
staff was very friendly
- 1/5
place is trashed
- 1/5
3rd room seemed fine until I saw Cockroaches crawling on my suitcase. Tv didn't work. Broken lights. Backed up drain. Stained tub. Moldy smell. Screaming people half the night. Algae filled pool. I left a day early. I had no choice but to stay the first night as it was too late to change hotels. Front lobby was not manned so I couldn't report issues. No one answered the phone so I could ask for repairs or another room swap.
- 4/5
The location of this hotel is worth it. The hotel is ready for some
- 1/5
This was a horrible place to stay. The room was not clean the tolit did not work i had to be moved twice..The staff was great
- 4/5
Clean
- 1/5
I decided to find a safer cleaner hotel after arriving.
- 1/5
After more than 10 days I’m still waiting for my deposit.
- 1/5
This hotel is filty. Not dirty. Filthy. It is old, falling apart, room toilet was filled to the brim with sewage and was passed off as "just poo." The tile is broken at elevator, carpet, walls, ceiling of the entire place is just filthy. I don't think a power washing would even help them. However, the managerial staff was super in refunding me 30% of my room rate.
- 3/5
Its juat old. The bones are solid, my bed was comfy, the girl was fantastic (hot, pink hair), and the breakfast was continental.
- 1/5
The staff was actually very supportive and kind. The room was disgusting though. There was a hole in the wall in the bathroom, mold on the shower curtain, stains on the sheets and the carpet was gross. We only stayed one night of the four we had booked.
- 5/5
Peaceful
- 4/5
Heater was not working.
- 1/5
I dont like the room , its very old and its not showing how it is in the photos. I checkout two days early and tried to reach out the hotels.com customer support tried last 3 days but no response . Booked hotel for 4 nights but i did checkout in two nights itself. Worst Experience as a hotel and worst customer support from hotels.com
- 1/5
Yall charged me for an executive suite and there was no executive suite just regular rooms, on arrival there was cheerios cereal on our bathroom floor, huge hair balls in the room, elevater door would get stuck and we had to push it to close
- 5/5
Very helpful
- 1/5
Someone tried to break into my room. The lock on the window was a cheap plastic latch, and someone was able to slide the window open and reach in and try to unlock the door. I grabbed their arm and prevented it from happening. Called police and changed rooms.
- 3/5
Comfy beds and pillows. Heat option in the unit did not blow hot air. Walking distance to Capitol, just one block away, is the winner for me.
- 2/5
Room wasn’t cleaned, the toilet kept flooding, the location is amazing & the staff was great
- 1/5
The room was filled up with smoke smell and the restrooms were dirty never seen in my life. Paying 100$ is just waste of money and time. And they also charge additional car parking fee of 35 per night which is not mentioned while booking.Overall very disappointed and we went out and stayed with friends overnight. In the morning we came to room to collect the bags and checked out early. Such a worst experience we have with this booking.
- 1/5
Poor customer service
- 5/5
Very convenient place and even though it was old, it was just what we needed to accomplish the reason for our trip!
- 3/5
Second room 129 stained carpet, much cleaner than the first room. Pattie Johnson
- 1/5
Horrible service staff charged me triple the price after I already reserved a room to then not receive room requested then the TV didn't work and AC would spontaneously switch to max heat
- 1/5
The representative at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional.
- 3/5
My heat/AC was not working my first night, and I had a couple "unwanted guests" that first night, too. Otherwise, the remainder of my stay was acceptable. Breakfast each day was VERY LIMITED. Waffle maker not working was a disappointment. Shower was OK, TV was good, beds were OK.
- 1/5
Maybe the worst hotel
- 1/5
Older hotel, which is fine, but it’s in severe disrepair bordering on unsafe, especially as a solo traveler. There was a lack of locked doors as promised and a malfunctioning elevator/booking system (a guest was already in the room on the first try!). Even with all this, there’s no excuse for how unclean the room and the hallway were - it smelled like pee and was too gross to shower! The staff were nice enough (with the exception of the breakfast attendant), but they were impossible to contact via phone to cancel, despite there being employees present and no one else around.
- 5/5
Staff has been helpful, rooms are cleaned properly.
- 1/5
The place didn't feel safe doors that were to remained lock didn't even shut no blanket it smelled I don't know why I stayed
- 5/5
Best ever
- 1/5
Room looked dirty it’s wearing down. Sheets weren’t even fully washed. Never again.
- 1/5
Room wasn’t like the pictures, not the cleanest, smelled weird, the elevators kept malfunctioning, tried to talk to management and the entire staff was rude. Will never stay here again!
- 1/5
First of all the room was absolutely horrible and disgusting. There’s visible mold and dirt and grime everywhere. The bathtub was in no condition to be used. There was no hot water. The Valet charged me $55 even though there was no one at the valet to give me my car on Sunday And no one knew where my car was new or where my car keys were. I was not able to even use the valet and I had to go find my car on a scavenger hunt by myself basically. I would not recommend this. I’m mortified that this is La Quinta‘s room standards for downtown Austin. I wouldn’t even be happy if they offered me a refund for 10 times the amount. I was exhausted from traveling. I just wanted to get to sleep to make it to a very important meeting in the morning. The room and the hotel was in no condition to have people stay there by standards from what I understand.
- 1/5
There was no hot water so my husband couldn’t shower and didn’t shower…because of the hotel’s plumbing issue. The place Is not even clean….esp the dining area.
- 2/5
Old building and beds way too smal
- 1/5
This is run down hotel. North worth staying here.
- 4/5
Location was great. Close to stadium. Front desk was friendly
- 2/5
There was zero hot water as well. The place was a bit run down, and the walls were pretty thin and I could hear the college students next door partying until late. The breakfast had zero juices in the juice machine. Typical industrial fare of prepackaged muffins and jimmy dean sausage biscuits, plus hard boiled eggs, and light and fit yogurt, oatmeal, and oranges, but waffle bar was the saving grace. At least that was fresh.
- 1/5
Stay away from this place if you want a comfortable stay.
- 1/5
My bed had handprints on the comforter that looked like someone got railed right before we got there. The window was open. There was a stain next to the bed that I am still not sure if it was blood or koolaid. There was a homeless man living under the stairwell. The entire property looks like it hasnt been touched since it was built. If I probably should have slept in my truck.
- 1/5
The room was extremely dirty. The toilet was filthy and had blood in it, and they didn’t change any of the bed blankets or the mattress.
- 1/5
The room was so dirty , smells terrible and I’m not sleep there not even one night, I walk out and I need my refund back .
- 2/5
This property should not bear the name La Quinta. It shook my confidence in the name. It is also worth knowing that parking is $45 per night - although that has little to do with my rating.
- 1/5
Room neglected the ac was good the staff front desk lady in the beanie needs to go !
- 3/5
parking available the hotel in a good locality, it would be good to have - a good lighting can give more better feeling when walking through lobby.
- 4/5
The room was clean, location was great, the staff was prompt but not especially welcoming. Breakfast was too busy, no fault of the hotels, and the other guests left things rather poorly. Staff was quick to clean up though.
- 1/5
Could not get Front Desk on the phone
- 2/5
My wife, daughter and I stayed here overnight. The location and the A/C were the only bright spots — the room cooled very well and the beds were comfortable. Otherwise the property feels rundown. The gym had a sign saying it was closed indefinitely. Stair access from the parking garage reeked of urine. Our room smelled musty, the air filters looked filthy, and the tub was grimy with hair around the edges. The shower handle wouldn’t hold for hot water, so we ended up with cold showers. Very unlikely that I'll stay again.
- 1/5
Dirty facilities, old room.
- 3/5
Hotel is VERY outdated. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Walls are paper thin. You can here conversations perfectly through walls. If you just want a cheap place then it'll do just fine.
- 2/5
Poor quality
- 1/5
Oh ys, nothing was right in breakfast either
- 1/5
Rooms were filthy, receptionist was rude, and have not received my deposit back after my stay
- 1/5
VERY expensive parking (half the cost of the stay) & I think they kept my deposit. It was a horrible experience.
- 3/5
Definitely worth the money I spent. But it was kind of run down, my AC broke and was never fixed properly. Stayed for 5 nights and no room cleaning. The elevator was filthy and the door never closed half the time. Staff was attentive when you got their attention, but was difficult to get their attention sometimes. Cheap place near everything downtown. Never felt unsafe. Breakfast was meh.
- 1/5
seedy, ratchet hotel. urine smells in the stairwells and mold in the units.
- 1/5
Bathroom was dirty. Urine Smell in the stair ways., Very Bad. Want refund and more.
- 1/5
The hotel was overbooked and didn't let me check in!!! Now I'm stuck without a room with my kids
- 2/5
Room was awful. Not clean, holes in the walls and ceilings. The front desk lady was nice but the property was horrendous. And nowhere did it say you had to pay $36 a night to park as well.
- 1/5
Stayed here for a conference. Outlets in the room did not work. TV remote did not work. Elevavator was dirty. Outside areas were dirty. You get what you pay for. I did not expect it to be this bad however. Would never stay at a la quinta again. The room was beat. I've stayed at nicer motels than here. The qualities for this chain must be extremely low.
- 3/5
My room had hot water and the bed was comfortable. Curtains were ripped, no iron or hairdryer. Decent breakfast. Gym was closed until further notice. I stayed on a Saturday, during which valet was a requirement. I paid around $101 for the room, and $55 for mandatory valet (although my room literally opened up to the parking garage). Great location.
- 1/5
The room was horrible. It was so dirty the person that checklist and was so unhelpful and unwilling to help with the room that room was not acceptable at all. I slept in many you pay what you get for rooms, but that wasn’t fit to host. Any guest in the front desk did nothing to help.
- 1/5
I actually left the place was so dilapidated and disgusting. I have never left a hotel before but this place needs new management, needs to be cleaned and needs a lot of repairs. It was so bad I left.
- 1/5
Staff was rude and unprofessional. Room was extremely dirty and housekeeping never came nor did they have any towels available. Not to mention they charge 30 dollars a night for parking and never mentioned that before hand… Everything about this hotel is terrible
- 5/5
Always happy here
- 2/5
In all my years and staying at hotes have I ever had to pay for parking unless i chose Valet. This hotel has valet and still makes you pay dor parking. There is no mini fridge or mimicrowave in the roo
- 2/5
The room itself was in bad shape — the bathtub constantly ran water, the shower head was literally taped together with Flex Seal, and there were leftover plastic cups from the previous guests in the corner. It didn’t feel clean at all. The walls are thin, so we could hear noisy neighbors late into the night. The whole place looks like it hasn’t been painted or properly maintained in years. Overall, very poor condition and not worth the price. I definitely won’t be staying here again.
- 1/5
Needs a lot of work like everywhere, location is great, they have a lot of potential but next time id rather drive 5 min more. Parking is excesive and I got charge extra for something i have no idea
- 5/5
I will stay here again
- 1/5
Lobby was disgusting. Photos on Expedia were clearly faked. $40 per day for parking. Room was dirty and smelled like mold. Front desk had a list of DNR guests, no idea what that was about. We checked in and checked out 5 minutes later. Cannot recommend against this place enough.
- 1/5
The hotel is extremely dirty and definitely not worth booking. There was mold by the AC unit, mildew on the shower curtain and under the bath mat. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if it was the last room available.
- 4/5
Front desk was polite. Room was clean.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff was very attentive and helpful.
- 4/5
For a bed/shower, it’s good, maintained, but not in tippy-top shape.
- 1/5
Blanca, the staff was the only good thing about this stay. Otherwise the rooms and the building were dirty, smelly, and uninhabitable. I left two hours after I checked in.
- 4/5
The room had some places not that well cleaned. But great experience overall!
- 1/5
First, when I arrived, I was surprised with an unexpected $34 parking fee that was never mentioned during booking. After paying it, the front desk told me to park on Level 2 and return to the reception using the stairs. When I entered the stairwell, I was shocked by the strong smell of urine and overall filth. The entire area looked neglected, dirty, and completely unacceptable for any hotel. The problems continued when I reached my room. The AC unit was full of visible mold, and the room felt poorly maintained. The corners, walls, and vents all showed signs of long-term lack of cleaning or repair. In the morning, when I tried to take a shower, the bathtub was completely blocked, and the water did not drain. It filled up quickly and stayed that way—another sign of zero maintenance. Overall, this was a terrible and unhealthy experience from the moment I parked my car until the moment I checked out. I expected much better, and I will not be staying at this location again. I hope management takes these issues seriously because the current conditions are unacceptable for guests.
- 1/5
extremely dirty and smelled
- 1/5
Asked for a/c unit to be checked as i left for the evening to prevent having to move rooms. A/c didn't work and was never checked brought it to the lady receptionists and was told "well, sorry". In regards to customer service this is not the place. Location is great but thats about it. Toilet had used toilet paper unflushed and window was open as if they had prior knowledge to the a/c issue. However the larger gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming and nice.
- 1/5
The room was filthy and inhabitable. When I immediately went to the front desk to tell them I wasn’t comfortable staying there they refused to give me a refund because I booked through a third party. I told her I would sit in the lobby and call to speak to someone and I guess she didn’t like that idea because she told me that she would go ahead and just refund and it would take a couple of days. I chatted with Expedia just to make sure and now the hotel has told them they refuse to give a refund. The place was unsafe and unsanitary and now apparently they are liars too. I will continue to contact both companies until there is a resolution or I will contact the BBB because this hotel is ridiculous.
- 1/5
Absolutely disgusting the type of hotel you rent by the hour! Everything is broken. Garbage everywhere. Rooms stink and havent been vacuumed ever! Sheets are stained. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME GO ELSEWHERE!!!
- 3/5
Sink was backed up, wasn't draining properly. Requested extra pillows, was told there weren't any. Pillows were small and not standard size for a bedroom. Elevator wouldn't come when called. Luggage cart could barely fit in the elevator when the elevator was working, was very loud in the walkways. Only provided one bar of soap meant for the shower. No soap provided for hand washing. Air conditioning worked great.
- 1/5
I found a roach in my room - it was an old broken down hotel
- 2/5
The elevator was broken. It wasn’t very clean. It had a stench.
- 2/5
Staff was okay, most the lighting in the room/bathroom. Just general maintenance overall is lacking.
- 1/5
Poor
- 3/5
The room was clean, but it smelled muggy and moldy. The guests on the left were talking all nighr, and the guests upstairs were making all kinds of noises. We lost some sleep. Disappointed customers.
- 1/5
Mold in the room. Had to sleep with window open as the smell was so strong. One lightbulb total worked.
- 2/5
Another thing it doesn’t say online is the parking, is not included with you stay. A good thing is the price per night and the location.
- 1/5
The staff at check in Blanca was very rude to start off with and then the room was filthy and the beds itchy , the air conditioning unit eas extremely dirty and didn’t get cold at all and the stairwells where disgusting and smelled of urine. We were not notified that we had to pay for parking per day and that was very inconvenient …. For what I paid for the horrible room the parking should have been free , especially because we were guests. I was really disappointed and will not recommend that place to anyone!!! Other than the location and the very friendly staff at check out named Jonthan, the stay horrible. ( JONATHAN has EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND WAS VERY RESPECTFUL)
- 2/5
Staff were pleasant and helpful, but overall condition of the venue & room was poor. Desk chair in the room had the arms ripped off, bath tap constantly ran even when off, sink was partially blocked, cleaners came once in 8 days and had to ask 3 times. Breakfast was pitiful, coffee and fruit or microwave burger or peeled eggs in a bag. Made me truly appreciate the budget hotels I normally sneer at back home in the UK. Paid a premium because of the F1, which the location luckily was next to the Waterloo park shuttle busses and a short walk to downtown and next to the capitol building which was a positive. Would I have stayed here usually, no, but served a purpose for this trip.
- 4/5
No hair dry
- 1/5
Blood on hotel walls, broken fixtures, dirty hallways, dirty elevators
- 1/5
The front counter staff was rude, acted like we asked her stupid questions. No refirdgerator, phone had no cord/power, closet was difficult to open due to the way the handles were installed incorrectly. Sign pointed the way to the ice machine and there was no machine. We valet parked our vehicle and had to get it ourselves and still was charged $45.00 a day.
- 1/5
Poor experience
- 2/5
The staff were nice. The room was dirty (stains on walls, floors, lampshades). Walls/paint were peeling/cracking. Keys did not work consistently. Nothing hot for breakfast as advertised. Parking was overpriced. Another person checked in and immediately left for a refund. Honestly one of the worst hotel stays. Location is the only thing going for it.
- 2/5
This property is in bad shape, it doesn’t look anything like the pictures. Hallways are dirty, security door on floor 3 is broken. Staff was fine. Surrounding area is ok.
- 1/5
The hotel i had to pay extra to park. The room was dirty and the staff no very helpful. My key card didnt work on the outside door to get to the room and was replaced 5times. The hotel was dirty and smelled like a lack of cleaning. When these concerns were brought up to front desk i was informed "sorry there is nothing we can do ". This was buy far the worst hotel i have ever stayed at and way over priced. If yoyr looking for a place to stay downtown in Austin stay on the street would be a better experience.
- 1/5
This is a very dirty and run down property
- 1/5
The stay was genuinely awful. When we got into the room, there was only 1 towel for a double room. Opened one of the dresser drawers to find freezer food bags left in it, there was food still in the bags. The next day we got back to the hotel and asked for fresh towels, but we were informed that we would have to wait 1 hour because they ran out of towels. Come back to the desk later to find that we were only able to get fresh towels, no wash cloths. Day 2 we get room service, but it seems like their definition of room service is to replace the towels and move on to the next room. Also had to go back to the front desk, because our keys weren't working. On our last night, we got to the room and were almost happy that they made the beds, but then we found that they only made one of the 2 beds. The only redeeming quality is how close it is to the Waterloo Park F1 shuttle to COTA. 11/10 DO NOT recommend staying here. The place should be shut down for negligence and health safety. I will never stay at a La Quinta again.
- 2/5
You need to have low standards. Restrooms are double doors w/out lock
- 3/5
There was guy sleeping in car in front of my room. People coming in and out of the car
- 3/5
Location in downtown was fantastic. One bed missing comforter and hotel did not have an extra. Only provided one towel for 2 people for 5 day stay. Small fridge would have been great.
- 3/5
This hotel needs a MAJOR remodeling. The carpets are stained, there are dribbles of paint all over the floor where they’ve repainted, the elevator barely works but the door sticks open so it feels unsafe, the pool is going green with algae, the breakfast is the poorest I’ve ever seen and I stay in roadside motels all over the US. On the other hand, the people are lovely, as one would expect from notoriously friendly Austinites.
- 1/5
Easily the worst La Quinta Inn I’ve ever been to. Dirty rooms, sketchy elevator, shower drained super slowly, no refrigerator, and almost no outlets.
- 2/5
So disgusting.
- 2/5
Terrible room. Very old and dirty.
- 4/5
This is not a fancy place at all.
- 2/5
Rooms smelt musty, like mould. Out dated and felt damp. Hallways were not clean, very dirty. Walls are paper thin and can hear a pin drop room to room. Thermostat was broken. Gaps under doors to adjoining rooms were large. Staff was adequate at best, not overly friendly.
- 1/5
Not worth what we paid. Staff was very friendly.
- 2/5
This La Quinta is more of a motel. Most of the rooms are externally facing which causes a big security concern. The elevator and stairwells are disgusting. Everything is very outdated. I think my linens were clean but there’s only two sheets on the bed. Would not recommend staying there for anyone or any reason.
- 2/5
The hotel is OLD and DIRTY. The room we had was large with 2 bathroom. One bathroom the toilet did not work but the other did. The couch was torn and had multiple cigarette burns. The floor of the elevator was disgusting with trash piled in one corner and obviously had not been sweeped or mopped for days. The bathrooms in the room were clearly not swepted for days based on the piles of dirt behind the doors. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. The location is good for downtown. When we got ready in the morning we discovered the hair dryer did not work. My wife went to the desk to get one and was told they didn't have any. The clerk then went to several other rooms and the all were inoperable. The lady who checked us in was nice and pleasant. The staff in the morning was extremely rude and unhelpful and simply kept saying, there is nothing they can do. I would really think twice about staying there. I know we never will again.
- 3/5
Need to go back to Austin but will not return to this location.
- 3/5
Elevator did not work
- 1/5
Dirty
- 4/5
Very good AC
- 1/5
Unsafe unclean
- 2/5
Smelly, old and dirty
- 4/5
Staff were very nice the entire stay- building is older but for the price and location it was perfectly fine. I loved that they had tons of vending machines that worked and the drinks were cold. There was plenty parking even though it cost money I’d expect that anywhere downtown in a big city so I didn’t mind and it was disclosed beforehand that there was a price for parking. The beds were clean and very comfy which for a value priced hotel is always my worry. But the beds were perfect- AC worked great in the room!
- 2/5
Internet was down and we were turned away because they could not check us in.
- 2/5
The staff was good and prompt. The area is fantastic bu the room did have a distinct smell and the tub was pealing and had mold building around corners Had to wear sandles to shower just incase.
- 1/5
We were put on the third floor. There was racks in the hall. It smelled like burnt egg in the room. The doors were jammed you can open them to the bathroom. We ended up opening one. The last to the door was broken off. There was mold in the air condition Behind the end table where the lamp goes. There was mold everywhere and dust mites. I wish I’d never booked that hotel.
- 3/5
Good cheap accommodations close to Capitol and 6th Street entertainment
- 1/5
El desayuno mal servido, comida de baja calidad. El personal de mal humor, caras largas, negativas. Las habitaciones menos peor. Lastima La Quinta Inn, era un buen hotel accesible, limpio. Ultima vez que nos hospedamos ahí.
- 2/5
We were only staying one night but would’ve moved hotels if we had to be around for more than a day.
- 3/5
My room did not look clean prior to entering. I did not have toilet paper and when I asked for hand soap downstairs, I was told they were out. They offered me an extra shampoo to use to wash my hands. I had to get a clean towel from downstairs also. The bathroom looked like it had not been wiped down as my mirrors had water stains and the counter was not cleaned. It looks like the floor hadn’t been vacuumed in a while either. For the quick turnaround trip I did, this was fine. But I won’t be coming back.
- 2/5
Quick access to Moody but the hotel was horrible. Not La Quinta or Wyndham usual standard.
- 2/5
The front desk, people were exceptionally kind, competent, smart, and helpful. They were wonderful! The room and facility, however, were very dirty, rundown, and, in the case of my room, had black mold growing on the wall next to where the radiator was leaking . The room was dirty, and I had to wipe down all surfaces with antibacterial wipes. The beds were poorly made. There was garbage on the floors in the hallways, which hadn’t been vacuumed in a while and were quite dirty. I wish this place were well taken care of Because I’ve really like the staff to have a nice place to work, a place they can be proud of, and somewhere I would want to stay. I reserved my room for five nights, but politely requested and received a refund after one night in which I slept poorly in a room infected with black mold.
- 3/5
A motel that’s showing its age. The beds were comfortable and the proximity to the Capitol and bus service was awesome. Inside I found the hair dryer ripped down (and none at the desk) lighting was all messed up with some lights not working and some not turning off. The rest was just old. Good choice of location and price are more important to you than newer facilities.
- 2/5
It’s a dirty place with no staff who care.
- 1/5
This hotel was horrible. Dirty, unkept, dingy. We did not even stay, we requested a refund as soon as we got to our room. There were hairs on the bed, knobs missing from doors, one bed had a comforter one did not, bad smell.
- 2/5
The staff was great but the room was not updated n outside was dirty.
- 2/5
Some of the lights did not work in the hotel. Staff made my friends hotel wait 3 hrs later for a room. The halls look kind of dirty.
- 3/5
Staff was very kind and location was good and convenient. My biggest issue was the floors in the room were very dirty, especially in our bathroom. The bathroom looked like it had never been swept before
- 3/5
The property was fine. You get what you pay for. If you are looking for a 5-star place, this is not it. If you are looking for a cheap rate and a clean place, this is it.
- 1/5
Will never stay here again. This place is so run down and staff is not happy working in these conditions, you can see it on their faces. La Quinta need to shut this place down and do renovations.
- 3/5
you get what you pay for
- 2/5
Only stayed here because it was close to moody which was convenient. That's the only thing this place is which is convenient but for sure if you want something nicer go somewhere else. Staff 10/10 hotel not so much
- 1/5
This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. Checked in on a Friday night. Our first room had a ceiling leak and the carpet was flooded. Got switched to a different room. That made matters worse. The people in the next room were making noise, smoking outside my door and had loud music blasting till 4 a.m. NOBODY from the hotel did anything about it and I had to call the police myself. The room also had roaches and to make the matter worse the light in the bathroom went out. The next morning I reported the light to the front desk and the person there said they’ll send someone to fix it. When I got back to my room Saturday night the light was not fixed. I then asked for housekeeping for Sunday morning. Sunday got up and left for the day and when I returned the light was still not fixed and the room wasn’t cleaned. Every night I had to go to the front desk to ask for fresh towels. Monday morning I went to go checkout and asked why they never sent anyone to fix the bathroom light and was told maintenance didn’t have that kind of light so it couldn’t be replaced. Stayed for three nights and never had the room cleaned even though I asked twice! Didn’t have light in the bathroom for two nights! (Showering and using the toilet required using any light I could find.) I used to stay at this hotel in the late 90s for conventions in Austin and it was a great hotel. But 30 years later it is now a dump and run down. I will NEVER book here again.
- 1/5
My room has mold and shower was horrible
- 1/5
awful
- 1/5
I’m sorry but the room smelled terrible and the restroom didn’t work. No breakfast except yogurt and 2 muffins. I didn’t want to complain but the room smelled terrible. Never staying there again.
- 2/5
I booked this hotel because it is right down the road from the stadium so we could walk and it had parking on site. Was not told parking is not part of the hotel until we checked in had to pay extra 55.00. for the car to be parked on site. Front desk nice on the way in not so much on the way out.....had to sign a paper checking in that had balance of 145 and some change then tried to run my card with out me or my actual card. Checking out receipt had balance of 114 and change. Ask him about discrepancies asked him to find the paper I signed when I came in and he said he didn't know what happened to it. May not seem like much to some but being shady is not good for business. The room seemed clean. Bathtub faucet would not go off so leaking whole time. Could not get TV to work. On our way to the game asked if they would fix it. Came back and still would not work. We found 1 roach. The valet service was very nice.
- 1/5
Upon checking into the hotel and seeing my room, I was immediately displeased. First of all, the lock on the door is broken. Additionally, the lights did not work in some of the rooms, there were holes/cracks in the walls, stains all over the carpets/furniture, and an odor that is putrid. There are bugs crawling around and the toilet did not flush. This is not the quality I was expecting when I paid several hundred dollars for this room, (along with over $100 for parking). The area also felt unsafe.
- 1/5
No towels, no soap, ridiculous 😡
- 2/5
Good things first- Conner and valet staff were excellent. Bad things- only one of two elevators were working. Front desk staff acted like they didn’t care about guests. Hotel needed a paint job in the worst way. Walls in room and hallways were dirty. Parking was terrible with very tight spaces. Breakfast was practically non existent- for a fully booked hotel (8 muffins, 9 pieces of bread, 2 cereal options, oatmeal packets, a waffle maker with no syrup of toppings, and 4 microwave breakfast sandwiches. Room was dirty (heavy dust on AC unit grill and lightbulbs), two of the lights in room did not work, not enough towels or shampoo, and worst of all: the security doors to enter interior hallways were always open and did not require room key access. LQuinta/Wyndam should be ashamed.
- 1/5
Room was very dirty and falling apart. Only one light worked. The air conditioner leaked on the floor in the room. There was no hot water. The bed was somewhat comfortable. Worst hotel I have ever been in.
- 5/5
The towels were stained the beds were stained. The door does not lock or is secure. We had to put out chair between the bed and the door and the door still opens that way. There’s a big hole in one of the outlets. The carpet feel slimy. There’s no cold water in the bathtub. The paint is chipped all over. Just a terrible building.
- 1/5
Room was in poor condition. Paint splatters and bits of trash noted all through the room. We ended up not even staying in it cause it smelled bad and looked like we might get robbed in the middle of the night. Great location but needs upgraded badly!
- 4/5
All it was good it's an older Hotel so things are a little beat up but all in all is good
- 1/5
Extremely dirty and in poor condition, with staff who appear very lazy and unmotivated. It is overpriced for what looks like a run-down motel.
- 1/5
This property does not meet the description in the website. Property is not kept up. Staff seemed inconvenienced when asked to keep reactivating room keys. Terrible facilities and would not stay here again.
- 2/5
Piles of dust in the corners where uts hard to vacuum. No shampoo/lotion provided in the room, had to ask at the desk. Stains on the shower curtain, looked like blood. Kleenex tissue holder provided, but no tissues in it. Room smelled like cat or dog. "Breakfast" supposed to go to 9:00 am, but by 8 40 most of everything was out, not replenished. Fruit was green oranges that looked like defects. Ive stayed in a lot of hotels, never seen this many problems at one property.
- 1/5
The staff was great. You can't blame them. The hotel was in very poor condition. The room had dead roaches and bugs. Rat droppings, bed stains. The garage was a complete mess. This hotel is neglected by it's parent company and spends no money on maintenance. It needs an overhaul. I do not recommend.
- 5/5
Good hospitality
- 1/5
Girl at the front desk was horrible to my self and guest. She had zero tolerance for working. Never going back again. She was rude and rushed everyone she even cursed while she was on her personal phone
- 1/5
The bathroom trash can had trash in it. I get it’s an older building but it just looks trashy. The valet people asked if I wanted to park my own car. If you are charging valet prices then people shouldn’t have to park their own car. If you are charging for self parking, then you shouldn’t advertise valet. The desk
- 1/5
People should be aware that the price of the hotel doesn’t include parking——which is $53 a DAY PLUS TIPS FOR THE VALETS. Come on. Really? Unless you want to take your chances trying to find a place on the streets of downtown Austin. The odds are against you. The hotel is dirty, dark, and run down. Rooms are cramped, very few amenities. We made a big mistake staying here.

Nice comfortable beds - quiet location even with it being a home game weekend. Ice machine didn’t work on 3rd and 4the floor. Not sure if there was a machine anywhere else.
- 2/5
Not what I expected
- 2/5
Stains (blood, spilled soda) everywhere, including walls, doors, floors. Drywall falling down in the hallway.

$32 dollars for parking Seriously

You get what you pay for. The property looks terrible, very dirty. The room smelled bad, and the smell transferred to my belongings. It had the oldest and filthiest carpet I've seen in a hotel, and I've seen some. Huge dead bug in a pile of dust. I had to buy flip flops so my feet wouldn't touch the floor. On the up side, the bathroom was clean. The people at the front desk were professional and had decent vibes. The linens and mattress were good, though the pillows terrible, uncomfortable, stained and old. That's what you get at the cheapest place downtown. Parking is $36 and change per 24 hr period.

The place was dirty . We couldn’t leave fast enough. Had 2 days reservation but left after 1.

This place was disgusting, noisy and unclean. We saw a gentleman get approached by a prostitute. We saw several drug deals. Someone was in the room that we were assigned at checkin. They still had us in the room that we were assigned at first until we went down and said that somebody was in there, and then they gave us another room, which made me very nervous that this person was charging stuff on the room they had our name on. They gave us a receipt for somebody else Never again while we stay there.
- 3/5
It was the cheapest and most convenient room. I was the only to sleep and have parking without spending hundreds a night. The staff was really friendly and helpful with what they could do.

This the worst hotel in the world. It’s extremely dirty. No toilet paper in room. Everything is really old and smells like piss. This place should be closed

Location was good walking distance to DKR or 6th Street. Didn’t expect having to pay valet parking at check in. The outdated rooms with No fridge or Microwave wasn’t what we expected, the rooms were dirty but you get what you pay for. Also, if you’re going to be required to pay $40 a night for valet, than maybe you should be able to have access to your vehicle when you need it. Instead, we were charged and valet told us since we were out at night that we “could” go ahead and park it ourselves since there is no attendant from 11pm to 7am……..soooo, why are we paying for valet again???? It honestly didn’t look like the floors and bathrooms had been cleaned in over a month. Again, location was great, but at minimum the rooms should be clean and this was the determining factor for us that we would not recommend staying here.

This property is deteriorating. The photos online are deceiving. I was told the property will be renovated and they are still booking people into rooms that are in desperate need of upgrades. My room had no working telephone, door latch missing, shower curtain torn and tied together, condensation on windows, air conditioner separating from the wall, and more. I reported all items and was told they would send someone to repair things. The person never showed. Then later they stated the person was gone for the day. They offered to move me only after their hotel was booked so there were no options. I was not completely satisfied w my stay. I would like to be refunded for my stay!!

The place was a dump

I book approximately 60+ hotelnights per year, I'm a Platinum hotels.com member, and I've never seen service this crappy. This is the first time I've ever left a bad review for a property. Avoid and just stay somewhere else.

First off walking in it was funky in there. I very room hall way and dining area all had this horrible smell. There was roaches in the bathroom in the tub crawling around. The parking was terrible as well. The customer service was the best thing this hotel had going for them

The room had not lights and no thermostat. Second room was nasty. They took a $75.00 deposit out of my account and did not refund it. This place needs to be shut down.

Got woken up in the middle of the night by Someone trying to get into are room , thank god we had the deadbolt and u bolt secured if not they would have. They manage to crack the trim of the door with the force they made. Front desk night John had no empty and no customer service skills he asked what could he do for me was he can switch rooms or I can checkout. I checked out immediately after that and he never went to check on us or send anyone despite me telling him I was scared to leave the room . The audacity of him when I checked out ,He gave me my checkout receipt and said thank you ! Called this morning and a man named Jonathan said he could issue a refund and said he would escalate it to manager tomorrow morning and I can expect a call . Thank you Jonathan for showing empathy and concern with the safety of your guest.

Horrible stay rude staff dirty rooms very noisy couldnt sleep at night never again
- 2/5
The whole place was gross and dirty. The room felt damp. Even the elevators and hallways were dirty.
- 2/5
In both rooms, none of the doors to the bathroom or the closet close properly. During my first stay, one the second floor, the floor was dirty. Walking around barefoot left my feet black. During my second stay, in the room on the ground floor, the carpet was disgusting, like it hadn’t been vacuumed from the last several groups of people that had stayed there. There was dirt, crumbs and even the back of an earring on the floor. The curtains were ripped and hanging by a thread. The security latch on the door was also broken and as a solo female traveller, this left me uneasy. There is also a gap between the door and the frame. Also my room was close to the parking area, so loud cars came and went at all hours of the night and startled me awake. There was no remote for the television. There was also no attempt at housekeeping / giving me fresh towels during my stay of 4 nights. They also make you pay a deposit. I got my deposit back for the first stay, but it appears that they are keeping my deposit for the second stay, even charging me for it twice. If you have a choice to stay somewhere else - do NOT stay here. Push your budget and stay somewhere else because it isn’t worth what you might get.

I've traveled extensively around the world over the past 25 years, and this is by far the worst hotel experience I've had - worse even than some shady places in South Asia. Everything was bad about this place, from the staff to the building, safety devices being plugged off in the room, etc... Check-in was so bad. The attended had a huge headset over her ears and hid behind a massive display. She didn't bother standing and felt very standoff-ish. I booked a room with 2 beds as I was traveling with my 20 yo son; but she tried to get me into a room with a single bed to share. It took 90mn for them to find us a proper room, during which they sent us to a room that was already occupied; or where they lied about calling us up. Very, very poor service, that person shouldn't be allowed to speak to customers. The room was in a horrible state. Curtains were torn, there were holes in the walls and on the furniture. Bathroom appliances felt like they hadn't been replaced since the 1970s. Biggest issue is that the smoke detector had been unplugged from the wall and was laying on the desk - as in somebody didn't bother replacing the battery when the thing starting to ping. Hotel was super noisy through the night. Staircases reeked of cigarette smoke and urine worse than underground trains in big cities. And we didn't even get close to their breakfast given how bad everything else was. Horrible place. Stay away

This property was absolutely disgusting, filthy dirty. It is NOT as you have advertised. It’s run down at best. Had to change rooms as the door didn’t lock and the shower faucet didn’t work. The staff is LESS THAN friendly. 100% DO NOT recommend!

Luckily the staff in the morning refunded the stay but other than that not very good.

I asked for a 2 queen bed room and got a 2 full bed room on top of that the ac was leaking water. Who puts a quest in a room where they know there’s defects??? All there was a note saying the ac gets wet

This place is terribly run down and some of the exterior is downright filthy. Not worth the savings

My stay was great, Convenient area and nice room

My items were stolen from my hotel room by a housekeeper, and the manager was unwilling to pursue it further.

On Thursday, August 6, I checked into the LaQuinta Inn at 300 E. 11th St, Austin, TX 78701 at 11pm. The receptionist checked me into room 414. The following day, Thursday, August 7, I booked another night and confirmed with the front desk. That evening, when I returned around 11pm, my room had been completely cleaned out; my two laptops, phone, glasses, and clothing were gone, and the room had been cleaned with new sheets, towels, etc. However, upon returning to the front desk, the receptionist (the same woman, again) stated there was nothing in the lost and found, and said it's possible the manager could check the office for me in the morning. (It was interesting that there was great emphasis on my "checkin process", and not on locating my items, regardless of the fact that the hotel has records of exactly who cleaned which rooms on which days.) The next morning I spoke with the housekeeping manager, who claimed that she was on the 4th floor all day on Thursday and there was nobody up there, despite the fact that my room had been reset. I also spoke with Reanna at the front desk, who noted that someone had "gone through" the manager's office that night, and realized that an "e-key" would have had access to that office, meaning it's possible the housekeeper turned in the items, and the night shift manager could have accessed them when alone that evening.

Nightmare . Filthy . Very questionable security . Ac didn’t work and no hot water . We never stayed had to find another hotel as it was at best 1/2 star .

Should be closed down!

The staff was very helpful, but the room was a bit dirty. Found used eyelashes behind the bathroom door, sheets had stains on them, but you definitely get what you pay for. Also, the pool was green and unusable.

While the location was great in proximity of Waterloo Park, valet parking was $53/night and the wait to hand over your car was horribly long. Only about half the lights worked in the room and there were visible yellow stains on the top and bottom sheets. The shower head was covered in lime scale so the spray was horrible. And we slept with towels as pillows because the pillows looked physically dirty. The lock on the door is broke and aesthetically the room is old and dated. The area around the hotel is nice so there is no reason this place should be at this low a standard.
- 2/5
This place was filthy never vacuumed the carpet the bathtub mold all around and the ceiling in the bathroom coming down. It was gross!
- 1/5
I GOT BEDBUGS FROM THIS PLACE!!! Also I had to move to another room because the first one smelled so bad. The other one stunk less but still had a distinct smell. Front desk made it seem like they were doing me a favor with the move. Breakfast is awful and cops are constantly hanging around the parking lot. I’m pretty low-maintenance when it comes to accommodations but this was truly a new low. Do not stay here, it’s really not worth it!
- 1/5
I think the bed had bedbugs, the parking was not clear on the website that it was being charged, the complimentary breakfast is terrible, the room seemed moldy, the lock on the door is lose, there was no change of sheets and towels on a daily basis. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in.
- 3/5
Staff friendly. Gym hasn’t worked in years, should just wrote no gym
- 1/5
Horrible stay
- 4/5
It’s in a great location , not too far from downtown . Nice Spot

The property itself is very rundown. The rooms stunk of mold. The shower knob just fell off when I went to turn it on just reminds me of a rundown drug motel. I was also quoted $25 for parking and then when I left, I was forced to pay $50 for parking. I will never stay there again.
