Just an average hotel. Not bad, not great

Breakfast was below average. Front desk was not very welcoming. Absolutely zero perks. Needed to call down to replenish tissue and toilet paper. No bottled water unless you paid for it. Not planning to stay there again.

Traveling alone was not as big an issue as I wondered. I felt totally comfortable here. The staff was friendly, my room was very clean, and the lobby/breakfast area was well maintained. I was very impressed.

The bathroom floor was dirty with hair on the floor like it had not even been swept. The carpet also had not been vacuumed. The bed, shower and sink were clean. Staff was not very friendly. The breakfast was good.

Writing on the bathroom walls, shelves broken in the shower, the water was not hot, there was a handprint on the inside of the main door, one of the dresser's were broken, tape on the door stopped, the AC was obnoxiously loud. The beds were not very comfortable after staying for 2 days I had a terrible headache and crashed when I got home. Also the area is pretty sketchy. If you are a single woman looking for a place to stay, I would not stay here.

Our stay was great. Rooms were very clean. Did have a wee bit of sugar ants, but housekeeping took care of the issue quickly. No more ants after that. Staff were great! I will definitely stay here again in the near future.

I had cockroaches in my room and my co-worker had ants and other bugs. Rooms walls were not cleaned. It was a bad experience had to be moved as the bugs were so bad.

Worst La Quinta yet. We go to these because they’re affordable but still I expected at least one of the two televisions to work properly but neither did. We did have one remote which didn’t work for either TV. The AC was inconsistent and both me and my partner were sweating throughout each night as a result. The bed was without a doubt the least comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. There were also some stains in the room but otherwise fairly clean.

The property was very clean and quiet. I would have enjoyed it even more if I was able to watch Netflix at night and if there were more breakfast selections in the morning.

If you've stayed at the newer Del Sol or Moda prototype La Quintas, you’ll find this room significantly smaller. The location is convenient for dining out, but the 'Bright Side Breakfast' here is very limited. Additionally, the AC unit is extremely noisy; it sounds like heavy machinery starting up, making it difficult to get a quiet night's rest.

Tiles falling off the wall in bathroom, blood or something red smeared under lip/edge of bathroom mirror, and tiles falling off of the floor/trim at elevator on 5th floor. It seems maintenance needs to address many of these issues.

This was a clean, quiet and comfortable place for a short stay on a road trip. It is not in a walkable neighborhood but the microwave and fridge in the room were helpful. Breakfast was decent.

The room floors/carpet were dirty and there were mystery stains on the walls in room/bathroom. The room layout itself is awkward, with the bathroom door being right next to the mini fridge/coffee area, which is right next to the main door, making you feel trapped. The breakfast was sub par with overly dry eggs and no one seemingly available if you need assistance with anything.

The hotel overall was dirty. The elevator had drink stains and the floor was sticky. The hallways weren’t vacuumed, our room had a stale smell. I know you get what you pay for, but it doesn’t cost extra to be clean.

Lots of construction but easy to locate. It was clean and had a comfortable bed. The breakfast was not good at all.

First time at a La Quinta, likely the last. First room no hot water, second room, hot (in March) ac not working properly, 2 tbs in a suite that did not work. Front desk said issues with cable, was not fixed. The kicker for me was the disgusting amount of toenail clippings all over the carpet that were not mine.

My only complaint was that there was no turn over service/ housekeeping. when we returned on our first full day out, the beds were not made and the trash in the room was not taken. I thought maybe they didn't come in at all, but the bathroom trash was emptied. I was not sure what happened, or why they took bathroom trash, but not the trash in the room, which had food leftovers and wrappers and obviously needed to be taken as well. The kleenex box in the restroom was empty since arrival and was not replaced either. I've had better experiences at other La Quintas, so this one was a disappointment.

Also, we had our “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, but that did not stop the housekeeper from coming into the room . The sign was still there on the door when we got back. So we were not delighted with this hotel.

Overall the property was well kept but my bathroom didn’t have any conditioner and one of my lights was out. I told the front desk, they told me maintenance and housekeeping were already gone for the day and didn’t offer to switch my room

staff was very friendly and the rooms was exactly how it is portrayed online! complimentary breakfast made it so easy to grab and go if i was in a rush. they had free parking which was great and i hardly ran into other guests so i didnt have to fight for parking and it was very quiet. overall great experience!! if i ever visit austin again i will definitely be staying with La Quinta again!:)

Our room AC unit was very loud that every time it turned on, we couldn’t hear the TV or each other speak. We had to turn it off during our stay. The bathroom shower heat was very loose we had to be careful when turning it to different sprayer functions. The walls had writing and marks on them. On the 3rd day of our stay, our room service was incomplete. Only 1 of the 2 beds were made up. The other bed was not even done and left alone. For the one that was made, only the top sheet was made with the bottom sheets left undone. That was disappointing. When purchasing from the market store downstairs, we asked that the items purchased be charged to our room. We were told that we had to pay for them at the desk and charging them to the room was not possible. What is the purpose of providing a credit card at check-in for incidentals if we’re not able to charge anything to it. For our future visits to Austin, we will look for other accommodations for our stay.

I did a pre checkin on line before I got there. So key pick up was a breeze. ( We however were staying three nights) but the employee who checked us in only keyed it for one night. So we had to get new keys when our keys did not work the next day. The usb ports on my night stand did not work, but I always travel with a 10 foot cord so I just plugged into another wall out let. Room was clean (suite) and bed was comfortable. There was a broken shelf in the bathroom. Towels were large and fluffy and we did have room service all three days. Breakfast was good. Hot entrees and waffles. Hotel was about a 10 minute drive from downtown Austin. Free parking. Restaurants within driving distance.

Staff was very friendly so high marks to them. But the stay was awful: The hallways reek of mildew. There was debris of some kind on our floor that hadn’t been vacuumed. The AC unit was so loud that we couldn’t sleep: It felt like the whole room was vibrating. Disruptive noise all night both from the apartments out back and from the hallway. Insufficient signage for slippery floors. Breakfast was cold and pretty flavorless. Definitely not what I would expect from La Quinta.

Rooms were a bit grubby. The noise from the air conditioner and guests we could hear through the thin walls kept us all up. As did the incredibly bad pillows. Overall, you get what you pay for, but we did ended up leaving one night early because driving 3 hours home directly after ACL sounded more appealing than tossing and turning in our room for another night.

We paid extra for a suite but was given the wrong room. I explained this to check in and was resolved straight away. Their was a sytem error showing the first room as a suite. Would have been nice to see bacon at breakfast

Laundry - towels were to be exchanged on the 3rd day and weren't. We left them piled on the bathroom floor, but when we returned, they were still there and there were no clean towels. We had to go to the front desk to request clean ones.

Since day one the AC was messed up which was Friday night. I told them Saturday afternoon about the problem...they tried to fix it but eventually it went back to being hot. I didn't bother to say anything anymore .I was there Friday - Monday and it was terrible. I wish they would have offered me another room the first time I stated the problem.

It was easy to check in, but the staff aren’t very friendly. Prior to my reservation my wife called a week in advance to reserve a crib for our baby. They told us to mention it until the day we check in because they were limited in cribs and they weren’t sure what room we would get until the day of the reservation. They told us we would have to take the crib ourselves from the lobby to our room. When we arrived we told them about it and they said they don’t provide any cribs. It was missed information, if that was the case we would have booked somewhere else.

I went and dropped my stuff in my room after checking in. I needed to run an errand and upon closing my door realized that it doesn't latch/lock. You didn't even need to use the handle. You could push the door open with your hand. They were great about getting me a new room. My second room was Hot! I didn't say anything because I brought a fan. Overall the hotel is just okay. It's not well cared for. In both the rooms there were lights out and damaged furniture. It was fine for a night, but won't be back. The good things are that the staff is friendly and it's a convenient location.

On a road trip, booked last minute when we decided we needed a stop for the night. Clean, welcoming staff, and overall great stay.

felt extremely uncomfortable as soon as we stepped foot into the building. multiple men just staring, and after arriving at 5pm (check in is at 3pm) we tried to check in and before i could even give my name, they had to “make sure the room was clean”. waited 15 minutes for them to come back and just hand us a room key without asking for any of my information. we ended up leaving early because we were so uncomfortable.

This hotel was quiet and clean. The water stayed warm and we had plenty of towels and space.

Didn't like that there are multiple La Quinta's in the area and there was no clear distinction on which is which. Ended up Ubering to the wrong site. Just need clear designations/names. Also wasn't near any restaurants.

This was a very nice hotel, very clean, good breakfast. The pool area was nice but we did not swim. It was convenient to access and we were able to check in a lot early even though they do charge to check in early.

Hotel seemed to be super nice but i had problems with the air conditioning it was extremely humid and the air conditioning wouldn't allow me to change the temperature and the water was extremely cold

I enjoyed my stay. The only downfall was the cooling unit. The fan stayed on the entire time and it’s loud. As a result I didn’t get a good night sleep.

Thermostat and. A/C unit not communicating well. Heat was set on thermostat and unit displayed 69 degrees and unit displayed 72 when arrived. Changed thermostat to A/C still not cooling room when returned for the night. Got super hot around 1am and then cooled off a bit and returned to throwing up warm air. Advised front desk on our way out.

It was just really hot in the room as if the air wasnt working properly sweated in my sleep all night was so uncomfortable.

The room was moderately clean — we found beer bottle caps under the bed and near the AC unit, which was disappointing. The beds were way too soft for my preference, but still okay for a night’s sleep. The shower was good, and the location is convenient. Overall, I’d say the hotel works for a short stay of one or two nights, but don’t expect too much. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, but it was fine.

The staff was extremely lovely and kind- I hate giving a lower star rating because they were so welcoming, helpful and sweet. However, we had two issues. The rooms were really really pretty and nice, especially for the price. However, the first room we checked into had many issues. First, the AC kept switching to heat and blowing hot air right when we walked into the room. Then, when taking a shower, there was hair all in the shower basin as well as stuck in the fibers of the towels. The last straw was when we turned the TV on, it was unwatchable. The screen had thick lines glitching across the screen and the sound was also glitching. After driving across Texas all day, all we wanted to do was relax in bed and watch tv, but it was unwatchable. The super nice front desk staff kindly moved us to a suite room after we talked to him. This room was much better with the air, and it was a beautiful room. However, the towels still had curly hairs stuck in them and the TV had the same glitching that made it impossible to watch. I know the TV complaint may seem trivial, but after a super long day, sometimes zoning out on a show is what you want. If the TVs were fixed and the laundry was better, I would give this 5 stars! It was a pretty hotel with comfy beds/pillows, nice decor, decent free breakfast and the kindest staff. It just had some issues with things we find important.

I was told that breakfast was from 6 to 10 at check in and even saw it in the website. When I got there at 9 they told me it was closed. They let me in but the lady/cook made me my daughter and some other lady and her child feel very uncomfortable. Kept telling us her hours of service and that we should not be there. I had served myself and was going to make my daughter waffles but I just walked out and didn’t get anything.

Property and room was nice but there was a disturbing “dirty” smell in the room, especially bathroom.

Very nice and comfortable hotel stay. Extremely convenient as it placed adjacent to 35 so accessibility throughout the city is nice. Only a small insignificant complaint that I’m sure will be fixed, was the ice machine being out of order. Overall a pleasant time and would recommend for friends and family.

⸻ I experienced several issues during my stay. The ceiling in my room was peeling, and the water pressure was very weak. There was also an unpleasant odor, as if someone had just checked out moments before I arrived — not a fresh or clean scent at all. On top of that, the AC stopped blowing cold air after a while, making the room uncomfortable. Communication with the staff was difficult, as many didn’t speak much English or seemed to struggle understanding what I needed. Parking was another problem — unless you had a handicap placard, finding a spot was nearly impossible unless you were okay parking far in the back. Overall, I’m not sure I’d choose to stay here again.

+ Room is spacious, modern and clean + Comfortable bed with 5 (!) pillows + Breakfast is included in the price and had a good selection including but not limited to three warm elements (scramdled eggs, sausages and pancakes, yoghurt, juices and decaf coffee. What wasn't so great: - The noise from the highway was quite loud since my window was facing that way. This is the noisiest hotel I've been to. - Scramdled eggs were super dry and tasteless - The breakfast was served with disposable plates, utensils and cups. What a waste! And no recycling either. As a european this is really a travesty and a crime against nature.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I love the experience every time I am in Austin. My son attends University of Texas and it is not too far and near many restaurants and a Walmart is close by. The staff is friendly and helpful and hotel is clean!!!

The room was not clean. There was hair on the beds and in the tub. I wiped the tub down and there was a lot of dirt. I looked around the floor and I saw trash that was not vacuumed or swapped.

Nice property, just to much construction work around the area and the wifi not working, but other than that every thing is nice ( clean and in good condition).

Really everything from the Breakfast to the room was very spacious. I had a king, suit had no issues. Very clean very organized. I just wish the water pressure was stronger.

I stayed at this location with my family due to some paperwork we need it to take care of, the place from the outside looks as good as the inside, very clean and well maintained. The room was exactly as it shows in the pictures before booking at least ours was, the indoor pool was always available which we enjoyed from the first night, towels and everything was available. Front desk was friendly and helpful, the gentleman which I assume was the Manager was very kind by helping with some things I need it and even asked us yo return as it should be done at every hotel. I said we will definitely return to this location.

Well I was satisfied with the hotel and the service that came with it, it was just gnats was the problem around the kitchen and coffee area, other then that, 👍

The Wifi was down for a few hours. Everything else was perfect.

The fiest room we were put in smelled horribly of dog urine. They were able to accommodate us into a different room which was much better. The problem with the second room was the lack of hot water. The way they built the shower with the support bars did not allow for the nob to be turned fully. We could only turn the water nob a quarter of the way. We ended up taking cold showers for 3 days since the hotel was fully booked.

The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts, that I ever had. Plenty of hot options to choose from like a cheese omelet, home fries, and waffles. The whole property was quiet. The hotel is in a convenient location.

Really poor experience. Relatively new hotel. Budget hotel as expected. Too many things wrong, however. From air conditioners and tv not working correctly, to staff that is seemingly uncaring and not empowered.

Impressed by how convenient and easy my experience was with this little cute hotel.

Floor had blood on it, room was falling apart and every blanket was stained. I don’t ever write reviews, but this needs to be heard. Only good part was location.

Airconditioner not working properly. Light out. Toilet running all the time

The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was cold and the coffee pot empty at. 8 am. The fan in the bathroom ran 24/7 with no switch to turn it off. The warmest water in the shower was room temperature. The safety bar was placed right above the faucet handle blocking you from turning the handle to hot water "level".

This is apparently a newly opened property and it’s not completely ready. Among other things there are no assist handles in the showers, guest laundry was unavailable as was the pool. Our ice bucket was full of trash, not that it mattered as there wasn’t a working ice machine on the property. This morning the air conditioner seems to be malfunctioning.

Location was convenient but that was the only real highlight.

No maid service unless requested and then only fresh towels. We weren't even advised of this until we asked why our room hadn't been cleaned. Hair in the bathroom (not mine). Sketchy people yelling at us from storage units next door.

The property was close to airport & restaurants.

The AC didn’t work when we got to the room, they came and reset. After that it worked but barely kept the room at 72 with the wall thermostat set to 68. The sign next to the thermostat said not to use the controls on the wall unit, but we finally got it to cool the room by setting the wall unit to 64. Doing that got the room down to 70 and finally got some of the humidity out of the room.

Every thing was great but had trouble with the a/c.

The property condition is pretty new and room is spacious. However, a few things have room for improvement: 1) check-in was slow 2) service was not up to par (our room did not have any towels initially and we had to request them. There was no soap and body wash soap in the shower run out) 3) breakfast was very basic. Since we booked it at a lower price, it was a pretty good value and we had a decent one night stay.

The rooms and property were very clean.

Construction in front of building. Room and hallway not vacuumed during stay. Room not cleaned on Saturday. Had to get our towels. Phone did not work. Had to use my cell to contact front desk. Bed never made and carpet not vacuumed. Day team was very nice and polite. Night team was not personable. Did not even say goodbye when hanging up the phone.

Absolutely horrible experience. My partner and I traveled to Austin for a small vacation, and we had stayed at previous La Quinta hotels before that were all great. However, the staff at this hotel were absolutely awful. Firstly, they had to put us in a different room from the one we were checked into online due to someone already occupying that room. Then, we had AC unit issues in the room we were put in, and this continued until 4 rooms later we were finally able to unpack our belongings, at around 1am that night. After many attempts to try to speak with the manager in person, the front desk attendant got him on the phone for us where he promised to see us in person, and instructed us to email him for a 10 percent discount on our next stay (which, I’d like to mention, is FAR from fair compensation considering our experience). All this to say, he never responded to our email, and no compensation was given. I will be contacting corporate to report this location, as this ruined a good portion of our trip and has now motivated me to never stay at La Quinta again.

New building...easy to navigate...convenient

The AC didn’t work well in our room. Took hours for one degree to go down. There was no conditioner or body wash. Staff doesn’t check the soap dispensers. One towel for two people. No cups for coffee. Called front desk and had to pick it up myself which is fine but inconvenient considering we traveled all day&tired. This place has so much potential but it seems they are understaffed and don’t care about customer experience. At least the area felt safe and convenient to head to downtown

The hotel was very clean and the staff was great! For some reason, the electricity kept going out in the room, but the staff was accomodating and moved us to a different room. If you want breakfast, get there early because it goes quickly! The fitness center was nice.
