Hotel is pretty new rooms not fancy but neat and clean . Staff was very friendly breakfast was good coffee was really good ( and 24:7 available) convenient to 81 .. only thing , the rooms are not carpeted so you can hear people walking above you . It didn’t bother me at all but heads up if you’re a light sleeper . Good value for an overnight stay

Convenient location Very basic and was okay for me because I was not traveling with my wife or family. Very spartan and the room was mostly for sleeping and showering with few amenities.

The staff attending to the breakfast was frequently unable to be found and when asking the woman working the front desk to help with pancakes, she was annoyed an unpleasant. She also had no issue once it was fixed of making herself a large plate of them and sitting at the front desk eating her breakfast...after only arriving shortly before that for her shift to start. The hotel was clean otherwise and the room was what we expected.

This is a very well-maintained, comfortable, clean, and convenient place. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Room was fine, air conditioning worked great. Shower had leaked where the heat screws on shaft and sprayed water over top of the shower door. I had to put a small towel over the leak to prevent a mess with the water.

The hotel was wonderful. The rooms were clean with a modern design. No more carpets and drapes! Nice flooring and modern shades made the room feel big and clean. The free breakfast was good, great coffee and even a pool table for enjoyment. I will stay again!

She and the other employee on the premises, who appeared out of nowhere after about an hour did not act as if they should be in the hospitality industry. Otherwise the room was nice.

Room was nice - clean. Disappointed in the pet (policy) rate - stayed at a Marriott location yesterday and was only charged a 20 dollar refundable deposit. Most pets (at least my pet) is/are more well behaved than some kids these days and there is no extra charge for kids. That’s humor. I do understand that is not always the case, but seems the good ones are overcompensating for the bad ones.

Check in was quick and my room was clean. This hotel has an impressive gym and a pool table in the lobby. Complimentary coffee and tea is nice too. Especially after driving all day.

So glad I picked this place, not knowing the area it’s the risk you take but I picked Tru by Hilton out of many Hotels and options and I am glad I did. Super friendly, extremely clean and quiet. Easy access to the highway that’s about 1-1/2 miles away. Couldn’t be happier. Perfect wide open room. Friendly staff. Clean as a whistle. I’m cozed up in the comfy King bed now.

Coffee was weak. You should offer a dark roast like Marriott hotels do.

Loved the overnight front desk associate. She was so pleasant and nice when we arrived in the middle of the night. Parking at that hour was rough and the pancake machine in the morning was a hit with my kids.

When I checked in the 2 clerks had to finish their personal chat before waiting on me. The room was horrible. No carpet, bad sound proofing (i could hear people stomping around overhead and planes taking off at nearby airport), only one bedside table which was 15 inches in diameter with no lamp, no real closet, just a 20-inch bar with 5 hangars and 3 pegs on the wall, no towel bars in the bathroom just 3 6-inch long pegs on the wall, shelves for towels and incidentals were too narrow, squeeze bottle of soap on the wall was too difficult for arthritic hands to operate.

The window shade was broken in the room and the bed was hard as a rock. The lobby was nice though.

Pristine facity looks brand new. Area was very quiet. Decent food near by. Bed was comfortable. Wish they had soft close doors, all you could hear all night was people in and out of their rooms due to doors slamming.

So Hilton has a new thing now or they cancel your reservation. If you don’t get there before midnight, we had no idea because we were on a long road trip and didn’t get there till 1215. It was a massive hassle when we were already extremely fatigued. It was not the front desk, managers fault, but it took up a lot of our time Hilton you need to do better! The room itself was extremely comfortable with the best pillows I’ve ever had in a hotel!

I like the clean modern design, easy to clean surfaces and openness. Having around the clock services and gym area is a big plus. I suggest adding handheld shower head along with fixed upper head in each room's shower stall

Good service, was a little line at checkin. Room was comfortable, air was cool. Breakfast was bare bones, we looked but ended up not eating. For a quick sleepover on a road trip, it was perfectly good.

They should tell you that there is construction next door with jack hammers and beeping trucks constantly from 7am on. Woke me up. Loud trying to sleep. No soap. Hate when there are no dispensers. Breakfast ends by 9:30am on Saturday so missed this. Just no value

Weird smell in lobby. Trash cans on elevator landings were overflowing and not emptied during stay. Could hear upstairs neighbors walking around. Bedding was clean. Lighting in room was terrible and the WiFi was not loading from the room. Furniture in rooms is minimal, uncomfortable and impractical. The desk was on rollers for some reason, and the only chair in the room was not on rollers and placed in a corner behind a bed far away from the desk. Just bad overall space planning and furniture selection in the rooms. Not a great option if you need to work from the room. More expensive per night than I would have though for the quality.

We did tell the front desk staff about it the next morning and how disappointed we were. She said we could have changed rooms but who wants to go to another room at 3:30 in the morning? The front desk person said they would watch the video to see any activity on our floor or near our room and let us know. We asked about getting a reduction in our bill for all the inconvenience. She said the hotel would contact us but we had to go through Expedia to lodge a complaint since we booked through your company. Still would like a credit or a refund after a bad experience.

This hotel was nice in general but they skimped on the construction. The walls and ceilings are paper thin and you can hear neighbors talking and people walking around above, it was very difficult to sleep. It was also pricey considering this and that they serve only a cold breakfast.

We only stayed one night—we got there really late at night and left first thing in the morning. But in the morning, I noticed some really nasty handprints on the bed’s headboard. Looked like someone had a wild time before us… totally gross! 😒 other than that the rest of the room looked clean!

The only thing that was nice was when I chexked in the person at the front desk was so sweet and kind. They really were helpful and curious. Everything else qas horrible and very disappointing.

The one small problem was, they ran out of coffee cups and there was no one around to ask. We would stay here again.

The $75 pet fee was a surprise at check-in. Booking online did not include this cost. Pretty high in comparison to room fee. Changing anything with a reservation on Expedia is nearly impossible. Happy to pay pet fee, will book directly with hotel in the future. Hate hidden fees!

We booked a King room. Room I thought was a little on the small side. Tiny 2x2 fridge, no microwave. Continental breakfast had limited options. If you're passing through the hotel is okay. I would not stay here longer than a day or two.

Did not seem like a typical Hilton property, room was small, no microwave, it seemed like a low budget knockoff of a typical Hilton property.

Our room was clean, but the vacuum cleaner did not catch small bits next to the wall, both in room and bathroom. Toilet seat is loose (room 417 or 419). But this was our second visit, and we like the hotel and its location at Hollins. We recommend Hollywood's Restaurant and Bar on Route 11.

Stop here frequently on our way north or our way home. Always a pleasure.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms are a little tight, but efficient. There are not many frills, it has more of an efficiency feel rather than a homey fell. Everything was clean and convenient. It sets a little off of the main road so some of the road noise is reduced. I would stay here again.

Sink clogged in bathroom

First thing I did was take a shower and the walk from the shower to the bed left the bottoms of my feet BLACK. I cleaned them off with a wet towel and went to bed. The next morning I used the wet towel to wipe a spot on the floor and it left the towel BLACK. I wore socks for my entire stay and left them in the garbage when I checked out. They obviously do not mop the floor when they “clean” the room.

Tru by Hilton was not my thing. They made the rooms very minimalist but that reduced the conveniences, e.g., no microwave, the drapes are not fully blackout, the soap that is tricky to squeeze and too much comes out. The breakfast ended at 9am (on a weekend!!) and didn’t include many options. The only cool thing was a pool table in the lobby and the gym looked nice though I didn’t have time to use it.

Enjoyed the full breakfast offering. Didn't enjoy the smallness of the room, lack of pool or hot tub.
