The whole hotel smelt like cigarettes! Mold in restroom. hotel staff was rude and ac in our room did not work. If your looking for a comfortable stay as I was with my children comfort suites was not it. Still waiting on my refund as I left and was promised a refund.

The run stopper did not hold water. I could not take a bath. Also, there was a little black mold in the tub surround. Overall, the bath did not work.

The pull out sofa bed mattress was stained yellow and brown. The pillows in room are very tiny. Hotels.com alllowed me to book a room that did not exist at this hotel. Breakfast was adequate. Although room seemed clean enough , rust was evident all over the bathroom. There is only 1 elevator and it sounded as though it was on its last leg. Strong musty smell in the hallways.

The whole building needs to be updated the rooms, hallways, laundry room everywhere I turned I seen touch ups walls,ceiling and floors. The bathroom fixtures falling apart. Just settled in because we where too tired to cancel and didn't want to lose are funds already prepaid. Would never recommend this place to anyone. I hope I it make through next couple of days without any more incidents.

The property had a smell to it. The room looked really old pieces of the wall falling off the sofa was stained very low maintenance, bad conditions the bathtub. The bottom of it was all stained with a black stain over it extremely dirty, and the room had a smell to it. I would stay there again.

I stayed overnight. It was cozy and room was clean. I would recommend on staying there and I would book again if I’m in the area.

First, our room keycards repeatedly stopped working. Every time we left the room we had to go all the way back downstairs to have them reset, which became very frustrating and inconvenient. There were also multiple maintenance issues. The toilet in our room would not flush properly unless you tried two or three times, and once it did flush it would run loudly for 30–40 minutes. The bathroom in the common area downstairs had the exact same problem, which makes it seem like this is a known issue that hasn’t been fixed. The pullout couch in our room was broken in the middle and unusable. On top of that, we were not provided sheets for the pullout couch and were told none were available, which made it impossible to use the bed as intended. Many of the outlets in the room were extremely loose, so our phone chargers would barely stay plugged in. The hallway also had a very unpleasant smell during our stay. We also had difficulty getting extra towels from the staff, which added to the overall frustration. Between the repeated keycard issues, broken furniture, plumbing problems, lack of basic linens, and the condition of the property, this stay fell far below what we paid for. Because of these ongoing issues, I am requesting a refund or partial reimbursement for our stay.

On a positive note the staff was great. They were nice and fantastic. For a short stay it worked. But any longer this wouldn’t be a first choice.

The room was okay. The issue was a homeless man came into the breakfast area, dirty and smelly. Not only was he stealing food but touch every utensil and was eat with his hands. Licking his fingers then made such a mess, spilling the food and coffee all over the counter. No one clean it up and the gentleman at the counter softly asked the homeless to leave. Then immediately went back behind the counter. The homeless contaminated everything. It was 20 mins of this situation until the homeless got his fill then he left. This was a bad situation all around the smell coming out of the homeless person was very bad. We end up going to eat breakfast somewhere else. To include the reasons behind picking Comfort Suite was of the breakfast. That was going to be off your list to do then it became one more thing to do. I would not be staying there again. They need a security person so the guess would go through an embarrassing situation like the one we experience. I was observing and did notice one never change the utensils. It was not safe, sanitary or a benefit to stay their after this experience.

Staff is very friendly, and we were welcomed with smiling faces. It was easy to check in, and easy to check out, took less than a few minutes both times. The room itself was perfect to our standards, not too big and not too cramped either, I really liked the layout. Smelt in the hallways, elevator, and the room. They need to hire people that care about cleaning.

Gool location Most electrical plugs were lose and would not hold something plugged in. Compared to other Comfort Suites we've stayed in and like to stay in because of the breakfast, the breakfast at this location was poor.

I’m think I might have had CO2 poisoning during my stay. Within 20 minutes on two nights I had a headache, feeling nauseous and threw up. I had to check out early.

both ice machines broken. gym was "out of order" elevator broke while i was staying there business center has mattresses in it and isn't even accessible. i booked this hotel based on the amenities and was unable to use any of them. pretty sure the people who run it live here. the room i checked into looked like it hadn't been cleaned. there were used hospital socks and open sauce packets on the floor when i arrived. someone had used toothpaste and stuck trash to the smoke detector. the toilet broke with every flush and constantly ran water. to top it off, they lost the reservation i made months ago and had to give me a new one. conveniently, the new one had a no refund policy so i contacted my bank to dispute the transaction. this is fraud. everyone who works there is rude and unhelpful. the thermostat in my room rarely dipped below 80, even though it was on "cool!" the hairdryer fell out of the wall daily. the area is also very unsafe. my daughter drove to meet me and didn't feel safe leaving her car in the Iot.

I had to have my room re-keyed at least twice a day it seemed like it was every single time I left the roof. I would keep it away from everything else that had a magnet strip LEAVITT by itself. It seems as though no matter what I did, I had to go by the front desk and Rikki yet which we came a problem with one day I came in around 10 o’clock at night and there was nobody at the front desk and there was a lot of people waiting for them and it took 30 minutes before anyone came back, they weren’t even on location while I was there talking with the other people waiting in line. I learned homeless sleeping on a bench our chair on the third floor, there i was also a white car front of the hotel the entire time I was there and appeared to have somebody in it almost the entire time and had some kind of security logo on the side however, I never saw anyone there to do security and if there was security, how did the homeless man get in there to sleep on the couch anyway?

We chose the Comfort Suite because of good experiences in the past. This time, we were very disappointed with our stay. When we arrived, we had 2 rooms - one was acceptable but the other had a very strong mold/mildew smell and was completely unacceptable. The replacement was fine. On the 2nd night, we went to use the pool - it was dirty and had not been cleaned in some time, the hot tub was not working, and there were stickers in the grass. The carpets in the hallway were stained and dirty looking, and there was mold on the ceiling panels. There was mold in the showers. We had an issue with the key card for one of the rooms and had to have it rekeyed almost every day (for an 11 night stay). We were finally told that the card could reset after being farther than a 3 mile distance - but we did not have any issue with the card for the other room. There were empty soda and beer cans by the pool, cigarette butts strewn about, and someone living in their car in the parking lot. We observed him coming in for free breakfast mornings and then sitting by the pool afternoons. For almost $300 for two nights there should’ve been NO reason there was hot Cheeto crumbs next to one of the beds when we checked in. Then there MOLD growing on the ceiling in the bathroom that y’all tried to cover up with paint. The bottom of the tub looked like somebody stood in it with shoes & was nasty (of course it was stained) gross. Ohhhh & let’s talk about the huge liability of the elevator that pops before take off, shakes during the ride, & screeches like the metal is rubbing together once you pass the second floor. I’m highly disappointed with this hotel. Breakfast… The sausage looked half cooked & the eggs were chunky. We definitely didn’t waste our time on breakfast there the next day. Breakfast ends too early for a weekend, nobody trying to rush to get up after a night out.

Overall my stay was pleaent front desk was helpful & friendly. The area isn't great several homeless ppl walk the area but it I felt safe. Room was clean & comfy. Before my check out time around 9am. I was abt to shower & the housekeeper just opened the door. Luckly I had the security lock in place, she closed the door. When I left she was still cleaning another rm. I gave the awkward smile & nod, rolled her eyes & started towards my room. When the elevator door opened another housekeeper exited onto the floor. Before the doors closed I overheard the housekeepers speaking in Spanish about me being the reason why she was still on the floor waiting to clean my room bc I didnt check out early enough & how she almost walked in on the fat girl. I dont look like I speak Spanish or cld even underatand it but I do. I get it you want to finish ur job as fast as possible, I work in the service & hospitality industry & even I know to never talk bad abt guest in front of them. I've talked bad abt guest bc of the rude and entitled attitude but never around other guest or in ear shot of the guest. If I wld have yelled talk ugly to her or been rude I wld understand the comments but I didnt say anything gave the awkward nod & smile. I didnt complain to the frnt desk about her almost walking in, bc it was an accident but her comments were unnecessary rude & uncalled for.

The rooms were a good size and the location, everything you needed was a short distance Rooms didn't seem to be cleaned there was hair on the beds and left over drinks in the fridge, also water pressure sucked

Property was exactly what we needed. Clean and safe, plenty of restaurants and grocery near by. The elevator made some loud creaky, struggle noises. Did not feel safe. Its an older location so not surprised plus it was very affordable.

The hotel is outdated, the breakfast was disgusting (bad coffee & unhealthy junk, except for the bananas), the carpets are gross and stained (rooms, hallway), the bedroom was super dark and dungeon-like, and shower floor was dirty & stained. We are on a prolonged visit to the area and wanted to save a little money on hotel costs, but this was NOT worth the savings.

Hotel was spacious, bed was nice and comfortable. Our only observation was the WiFi was not working properly on the third floor, but hotel staff were able to move us to the first floor on the second day. Hopefully hotel staff would correct this issue for future guests.

There was absolutely nothing to like about this location. If you have a choice stay elsewhere. The whole stay was unenjoyable. The location did not feel safe, the whole building felt unsanitary, the elevator did not operate safely, the ac in the building was not running properly, there was no ice, the breakfast was ridiculous with the coffee, pancake and juice machine not working. Do not waste your money here. Our family often chooses Comfort Suites, so I do not consider this location a normal experience. But this location DO NOT USE.

The drawers in the tv table would not stay closed. It was very cold in our room. The lights went out the morning we were packing up to leave. The tub had no plug for baths.

I didn't eat breakfast there, even though they had one available. The location is kind of rough but not unsafe in my opinion. The facility itself is a little worn but clean. The hotel needs to be refreshed a little bit.

This location is NOT fit for a family or anyone who cares about the safety of themselves or their belongings. Constant illegal substance use, alcohol use and shady behavior both inside and outside the hotel all hours of the day & night. At night my husband was approached by someone telling him to follow them to the ATM to take out money for them. When he declined we went out in the morning and found our car had been punched in and keyed. When asking the front desk to check cameras in order to file a police report they said there is zero surveillance anywhere on the property. The cleanliness of this hotel is nonexistent, the smells are horrible, the staff are rude, and the pool is murky with broken chairs surrounding it. Steer clear of this entire property. The price does not match the venue. It is horrendous.

Adequate place to sleep. Hard bed, noisy frim freeway traffic, room needs paint and better lighting. I do not plan to stay here again. Hard to get to with construction and off ramp location.

This hotel is in desperate need of updates. The door frames are old metal frames with chipping paint. The carpet is well worn and stained. The couch was just as bad. The elevator reeked of marijuana and the hallway wasn’t much better. The only positives were the bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable. Will not be staying here again.

The hotel Room was a very clean a little dated very impressed with the cleanliness. However, I was extremely disappointed that there was no closets in the room, and there were no irons.

First, I will address the good things about the hotel. The beds & pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good. Most of the staff was friendly & helpful. Now for the bad. One of the night staff (male) was very confrontational when I had to go to the front desk for the 6th time to have them re-key my room key. Every single time I came back from being out, I had to do this. Then, same staff member told my 85 yo mother that she had to take our trash down to the dumpster outside at night because we had not requested maid service. Then, when I asked him why he did that, he lied to me & said that he didn't tell her that. Next, It is an older hotel so some wear & tear is normal. But this place needed some serious cleaning. The room smelled very musty & the carpet was very dirty. Some simple shampooing would have made a world of difference. It could have used some paint touch-ups as well. Next, the exterior could have used some landscaping. We went in the pool once, which was pretty clean. However, the hot tub was very dirty. Im giving this property a 2 because when I asked for room service they did come to my room. The luggage dolly was filthy, the hallway carpets were stained and the room carpets also had stains. The elevator sounded very unsafe and like it was in need of maintenance. The biggest issue we had was the bed bugs we found. I will not be staying at this location again.

The room was mediocre at best. The hot tub was NASTY - pool as well. Very poor upkeep. Elevator was broken for about half of our trip and the hallways smelled as though someone was smoking a joint for the entire time we were there. Do NOT recommend

They have so many BEDBUGS. My family and I weren't even there for 5 minutes and the BEDBUGS were crawling on the white sheets. Needless to say we left immediately. I asked for my $129 back and I havent seen anything yet. I would love to leave a good review but i dont have one. I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express!!!

I felt safe staying at this hotel and it was quiet and comfortable. I was surprised that it was so close to another hotel where I had a horrible experience and really felt unsafe. Thank you for the experience

When I arrived in the parking lot, the clerk in the lobby was very courteous and gave me a key. The first key went to a room that was infested with roaches around the fridge. I went back to the desk and they gave a 2nd key, which that room also had roaches and the toilet seat was broken. I took that key back and they gave me another key for a room that had a stench, the thermostat didn't work, the hot water ran cold, and by the time I tried to get some sleep I was woken by the sound of key swiping in my door to which i later found out that they had given a key to another patron for the room i was in. The desk called to apologize but then acknowledged that they had no record of giving me the key to that room and asked me for all of my info that I previously checked in with. The next morning they served a continental breakfast which wasn't appetizing and when I returned to the room, I could not get back in because my key was deactivated. I went back down to get that fixed and now there was a different clerk who questioned if i was even a patron.

There was hair and dirt all jver the bathroom. My kids were terrified, and we spent the entire night in absolute fear of what might crawl on us. This place is a complete disgrace. Paint peeling off walls. The bench in the rooms legs were about to fall off-couldnt even set my purse on it. Guy that worked the desk overnight was an idiot. Couldn’t ever answer a single question and when I asked for wash cloths he gave me full size towels… There was a metal sign on wall saying the check out time but they had a piece of printer paper over it with a handwritten time earlier than the actual checkout and when I asked for a late check out they wanted me to pay $50 for half an hour extra! Shady place. Would not recommend. We were right by the front desk and one night the dude allowed a kid to run up and down the hallway taking peoples ‘do not disturb’ signs off every door and he did and said NOTHING to the kid or parents. The property was highly rated, but was disappointing. Floor was not vacuumed, trash and bugs were everywhere. The tub was stained. The phone, lamps and furniture was dirty. The fridge and microwave were clean.

The property smelt like smoke and our room had a musty smell. The breakfast was disgusting and only had 1 type of juice available not even water so I had to buy drinks and got charged twice for it. The bathtub had brown on the bottom like it wasn’t properly cleaned. I also got bit by bugs in my bed.

The room we got was disgusting. There was mildew on the comforter. Multiple other stains. I don't know if it was food or feces. We booked a room for 5 people and they only had 2 towels and said the hotel was out of towels. There were bugs on the floor, beer bottle caps and hair everywhere. It was just a disgusting room and they would not offer us another one. I would never stay here again!!

We stayed at this property a couple of years ago and it was great. So we rebooked for this trip. There must have been a change in ownership/management. The property has a very strong smell all throughout. We had to request a room change as soon as we checked in due to a small swarm of black flies/gnats in the room. New room didn’t have any thankfully. Both rooms need some basic upkeep done (paint, deep cleaning). The bed was comfortable. Didn’t partake in the breakfast due to the strong smell. Room served its purpose but probably won’t be back.

Night staff was rude, couldn't find out reservation even after explaining that it was from the prior day since we didn't make it to our hotel until 3am because of travel. When we went to check out there was no one at the desk and took them 10 minutes to show up. Elevator sounded more like a hellavator and could possibly give out at anytime. Beds were comfortable enough, walls in the bathroom were dirty and looked like parts were starting to fall apart.

The first room (119) was a hell to the no! The carpet reeked of musk and the tub was dirty! Got transferred to 120 (after having to go outside and get the desk clerk) which was a little better. The toilet seat was missing a screw, so you can imagine how frustrating it is to have the seat move on you. No ice…and to add insult to injury, we were told we could not have extra towels Saturday night! I went to front desk the next morning and was only given two large towels. Asked the room attendant for 4 face towels and she handed me two. I don’t know about most but I don’t use the same towel for my body as I do my face! Extra towels were also needed to stand on while showering. Stains on the bedding and 1999 gnats in the room. A hard no for me, I do NOT recommend. My boyfriend was born and raised in Houston, 5th Ward to be exact and even he had things to say…now that says a lot! Having an option to watch any type of streaming channel would have been a plus…tv’s extremely outdated.

--- We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed a lingering cigarette smell and a slightly humid atmosphere. By nighttime, the smell seemed to lessen, or perhaps I just got used to it. Despite these issues, we all slept well and found our stay to be satisfactory overall. However, there were some notable drawbacks. The bathtub was very dirty, which deterred us from using it for showers. Additionally, room service did not replace our towels or make the couch bed during our outing. While the $80 per night rate was affordable, it was evident in the level of cleanliness and service provided. In summary, although we managed to get good rest, if cleanliness is a priority for you, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Our stay was terrible. Our room smelled, the pool was disgusting, business center closed and ice machine broken.

Room bed linens are not clean

Nothing was unique about this property. The location was suspect and i did not stsy there. I paid for a 1 night cancelation fee even though I chose not to stay for the 2 night reservation. Online pictures does not represent property and surrounding area accurately. I am waiting on my refund for the 2nd night of my reservation. I paid to stay at another hotel for my visit.

Nothing like they advertised, this hotel needs to be remodeled from the fire alarm hanging out from the wall to the poorly kept pool/hotub. There is no cameras outside whatsoever 7 trucks got there windows smashed. Not a safe environment at all. highly recommend other options

I didn't like things not working like light switches, ice machine on the third floor. Oh and breakfast was not good.

The room itself was nice. The hot tub looked as if it had never been cleaned before we arrived. During our 3 day stay. It was never cleaned. The pool water was pretty murky.

Upon checking into my room, I discovered several issues that made my stay impossible: 1. The room was dirty, with stained sheets that appeared to have blood and other bodily fluids on them. 2. There was a pervasive smell of mold throughout the room. 3. The cable television service was not functioning. These conditions are completely unacceptable and do not meet the standards of cleanliness and comfort that I expect from a hotel. As a result, I request that my reservation be canceled immediately and that I receive a full refund for my stay. Additionally, I request written confirmation of this cancellation and refund. Our stay was pleasant. The staff was helpful and friendly. We love it for the location's closeness to Pinballz. There's lots of places to eat nearby as well, and we'll be likely to stay here again our next visit to Austin.

Toilet had issues. Not enough toiletries. Sketchy people in lobby and outside at times.

Excellent service from all staff members

I was in Austin for 5 days. My room was clean and nice. The problem is that I didn’t receive any room service until the fourth day. I asked many times, but they told me that my room was not on the list. The room key was not working; you have to try it again and again, and that’s not cool, especially in an area you don’t know. The pool was not clean either. I don’t think I’ll be going back there.

I was concerned about door that leads to the stairs by the pool not being secured.

The pictures on the site do not do any justice. The rooms look nothing like the photos, the room was way worse. This hotel is dirty and smells, bfast was ok , hot tub didnt work as well, iron had something on it that ruined my work clothes, no padding oan the ironing board. Call and make aure everything works before.

It was a very relaxing stay.

Rooms not as expected pool really dirty, and the rooms I pay for did not look at all like the pictures. I arrived at 5pm rooms still not ready.
