Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, there are several complaints about the breakfast being overpriced and not worth it, as well as issues with the incidental charge and lack of free breakfast. Some guests also mention problems with the toilet flush, lack of amenities in walking distance, and old or outdated aspects of the hotel.

Horrible cleaning staff! Room wasn't cleaned the 4 days I was there.
- 5/5
the rooms ate very clean and spacious and staff was very friendly and helpful
- 2/5
Was very disappointed . There was construction in the building , I was going to sleep in because I didn’t sleep well, the room was hot when we got there and took several hours to cool down . The pool was closed & to be demolished . One of the reason we picked it was to swim . The beds were terrible , springs or just wore out mattress , not sure what it was . Very disappointed .. that I was not told or sent message about construction , no pool . And we came back Sat evening the temp was hot again ! Should have at least got a discount . Room was clean, omelettes were very good. And the name was changed , thought we were at the wrong location at first , name on outside had been changed !! But I was never told or send that information . Disappointed Expedia did not contact me . Not sure I will use it again .

The location was great, not far from anything. We enjoyed our weekend stay. It was in the remodeling stage, but there were no problems. The restaurant was closed, but a breakfast was available at a great price. The staff was awesome as well. Definitely will stay again in the near future.

The hotel was not safe. They were doing renovation my daughter got stuck in the elevator they had no food no jacuzzi no restaurant they still have paper bag all downstairs it was a horrible experience I would never rent over there again.
- 1/5
Would have rated this hotel a little higher but the atmosphere is not up to pair to what this property used to be. On top of this the hotel also asked for a review with sending an email in an aerobic language. That is not acceptable.
- 3/5
It could be a great Hotel. I will not hold it against them that they are currently remodeling. So when it is done it will be awesome when it’s done. We did not know about it and had picked it for the pool. It was closed.
- 3/5
Common spaces in the hotel were nice and the renovations were well noted and not a bother. Room was spacious and good except for the AC not working night one and the large bag of wingstop we found under our sleeper sofa…
- 5/5
We like almost everything except deal with the renovations. When I made the reservation it wasn't mentioned until we were checking in.

Location No where in the description when we were booking did it mention the place was under construction. There were kids running and screaming at 3:30am i called the front desk to tell the clerk and she asked what race the kids were i responded what does it matter what race they are my family and I are tired we've been on the road all day and we want to go to sleep

Construction remodel with all it’s dust, noise and pool closure made the stay unbearable.
- 2/5
Solid location, but it was under construction. Dirty and nothing was open.
- 2/5
Na The air conditioning control was either super hot or extremely cold. The shower didn’t drain so the shower was also a bath. The price of the room was over priced. The bed is super uncomfortable

Also, ice machines were not working and when I asked for ice they gave me half a cup. Is there an ice shortage around there? I mean COME ON. I need more ice than that! It was like I was asking for their kids teeth or something. Property is under-construction. Rooms were modern and clean.

I liked that the location was central to the places I wanted to visit. At the time it was under renovation. Booking.com didn’t have this information listed on their website.
- 5/5
There was some construction going on but otherwise the hotel was great.
- 3/5
Construction causes significant inconvenience.
- 1/5
Would never stay there again. No restraint. No pay per view movies. Website is false. Pool didn’t stay open til 11 pm. They said 10. Rude staff. No linens came with fold away couch, we asked and she brought them with rudeness. Not enough towels. We were scared to ask. Unfriendly. No breakfast.. they called it a grab and go for $10. What a joke. For the amount we paid we did not receive good service and their amenities suck
- 5/5
The staff is amazing and it’s a great place to stay near all the Arlington area attractions. I’ll stay here again.
- 3/5
Hotel under remodel but we were not told that when booked. I think the overall stay was better after that we thought it would be when we saw the construction!
- 4/5
The staff were great! Room was very comfortable & large. Hotel has a very big renovation going on but staff made sure we were very comfortable! Result will be an amazing hotel!

- 5/5
Other than noise from renovations during our stay, the hotel was clean and staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly. The hotel was very nice. House keeping was discreet. I’d stay again. Family vacation friendly.
- 2/5
There was construction going on. The television in the living room area had no connection. The bracket on the television made it impossible for the technician to be able to change the cable. With the construction going on breakfast was a joke. Couldn't believe they would charge the prices for the room and not offer a free breakfast. Room service didn't make the bed. Over all experience was bad. Probably won't be back at that location. Well below Marriots standards.
- 5/5
Our family loves this hotel. Anytime we are in the DFW area, we stay here. Great location, love the lobby area, and love the room layouts, with divider and living area.
- 3/5
The hotel is listed as being “updated”. It’s under complete construction. We had a finished room that was lovely- spacious and clean. Another group in our party was originally in a room that hadn’t been updated and didn’t look like it had been cleaned properly. They talked to the front desk and were moved to an updated room. Don’t pay for the breakfast! Because there is no kitchen, the offerings are basically heat-it-yourself gas station fare. The “bar” is a tablecloth covered folding table and plastic cups. This is going to be a wonderful place when it’s finished, the renderings look great. But right now it’s just going to be a place to sleep. If you are going to be gone all day (while construction is taking place) and you don’t care about amenities, you should be fine.
- 5/5
Cons: Sofa beds aren't comfortable. The mattress is very thin and you can feel the frame. Elevators were slow.
- 1/5
We reserved a room with 2 Beds for 4 persons, and they put us in a 1 bed room because of overlooking. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and the sink clogged. After talking to another front desk (new shift) she was able to split us to 2 rooms; 1 with clogged sink.
- 1/5
Restaurant closed construction going on all hours dust everywhere. Really should disclose this to people
- 5/5
We really couldn't hear much at all. Our room was awesome. Everything was new and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back to stay again.
- 2/5
Wish we knew the property was under renovation. We would not have made the reservation. The noise, the dust, and the lack of of having food service was really disturbing.
- 5/5
Great stay even through renovation
- 4/5
While the property is under renovation, our room was beautiful and roomy and everything was clean. It was in close proximity to Globe Life Field and that was one of the main reasons we picked the location. The staff was excellent each time we entered and exited the hotel. I can’t wait to stay here again, Once renovations are completed.
- 1/5
Room was booked and paid for a month in advance. We received multiple confirmations leading up to the day of check in. We arrived around 11pm from a very long day of traveling to be told there was no room available for us due to construction. Keep in mind, this construction was nothing new, the room was booked a month in advance and paid for in full. There was no notification that we did not have a room, no courtesy call, nothing. Very unprofessional. We were given a room at a Residence Inn down the street, so we ended up with somewhere to stay. A courtesy call would’ve been nice.
- 3/5
Staff was great.
- 5/5
Awesome place. Location is perfect for Arlington area events. We will be back . 4 stars
- 3/5
The cleanliness of the hotel was nice and staff was great. Just wish we were told when booking that this hotel was under renovations. For room price that should have been said up front. We would have booked else where.
- 1/5
The hotel should not be open at this time. It is being renovated and you had nothing on your site warning me of that. The only staff I encountered was at the desk when I checked in and out. They were very pleasant. BUTTTTTTT……. that was the end of the story. The hallways had boxes stored in the hallways, some of carpet was covered with plastic, the continental breakfast was served in the middle of the atrium among the work being done, the workers were using the elevators that the guests were using, our tv was old and slow, some of the furniture was missing from the room, the beds seemed to be old and the mattresses were uncomfortable, the bathroom tub had no grab bars are safety strips to prevent slipping, the luggage carriers were too small to carry more than two suitcases and hanging clothes were impossible. The parking lot needed attention concerning the big holes and the signage was as if the hotel was abandoned. You rated the hotel as “excellent” and I expected a whole lot more with that rating and the amount I paid for the room. I was sooooooooo disappointed and surprised.
- 5/5
Clean room and staff was great
- 5/5
Relaxing even though construction. I totally loved bring on the 7th floor. Grandiose. Can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful! Rooms were clean and comfy!
- 3/5
1. Staff was professional and courteous. 2. This property is under construction, so be aware of the work being done between the hours of 9am-6pm. 3. Breakfast is $10 and it was a grab and go only. 4. It's right off the hwy, so traffic can be heard at all times of day and night. Sleepless night. 5. Shuttle to stadiums and six flags.
- 4/5
Rooms were nice and roomy, beds were comfortable little outdated but place is being renovated. Room was hot but cooled off half hour into getting into room. Bathroom was little small and shower head wasn't able to be adjusted for adequate water output. Over all we were able to rest for the night. Place was quiet even being next to the highway.
- 5/5
This place was undergoing some remodeling, but the staff was super friendly, the pool and hot tub was awesome. The suites were very nice and spacious and the view of six flags was over the top. Had an awesome stay

Room was okay, booked this hotel because of the indoor pool only to find out the time we had there that the pool was closed.

app did not tell us it was under construction. elevators are painfully slow. room was fine.... but genuinely is not up to 4 star.. definitely a 3 star property. only positive... the ladies at the front counter were exceptional....

they have a make this clear on the app as well. room are severely outdated. will be nice in summer months.. but right now it's horrible.
- 3/5
Under construction, no restaurant
- 4/5
The room and lobby area was great and recently updated. The pool and spa were old and crusty. Hopefully they will get updated soon. The spa was warm but had seen better days.
- 4/5
When I arrived from a 5 hour drive to check in, I had to wait 10 minutes in the lobby for the hostess to get off the phone to be able to check in. Then once in my room, we needed a blanket and I called for the front desk, and no one would answer.
- 4/5
The room was clean! The front desk reception very communicative and friendly!
- 3/5
Hotel was under renovations which is much needed. Rooms are older
- 2/5
The front desk told me when I asked about luggage carts that they only had 4 and all were in use. It took multiple trips to get our luggage.
- 5/5
The room was clean.
- 3/5
A heated pool would be nice
- 1/5
I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews. Let’s just say their photographer was incredible, because as soon as I got there I realized they only photographed the renovated rooms. The hotel itself was dark, the restaurant was closed for renovations, and I didn’t even attempt the breakfast (which was just quickie mart food and there were no guests eating). My room had no pictures on the walls and most of the furniture was NOT what was pictured when I decided to book. The bedding was so thin and the air system switched from heat to AC all night long. I will never stay here again. Staff was friendly.

When we arrived, Expedia had canceled my reservation and I had no idea. The sweet lady at the front desk was able to not only remind me that I had a Marriot account but booked the exact room for a better price to accommodate my family. Heaven sent! The room was clean, and comfortable. The hotel was close to all the essentials. The indoor pool and jacuzzi was icing on the cake!
- 5/5
Comfortable, pleasant stay
- 5/5
Last minute reservations but well worth it
- 2/5
The Room keys didnt work. Had to have the card re keyed 3 times. Breakfast wasnt good, and had to pay exrtra for a breakfast that i could have gotten included at a Holiday Inn.
- 5/5
We had such an amazing stay! The pictures do not do the hotel justice. It is so beautiful inside! We were upgraded to a suite without even asking, and they even gave us a room on the top floor. The staff were very nice each time as well. It was such a beautiful room, and my kids loved the view of Six Flags. The indoor pool was nice and warm, and the lights in the pool were a fun addition. We would stay there again 100%!
- 5/5
The breakfast was really good and had several options to choose from. You shouldn't walk away hungry!
- 5/5
Staff and room were good. The breakfast not so much.
- 3/5
The hotel was very mid- average. I’ve stayed at nicer hotels for the price and it was noting special or had any amenities like water in the room or nice toiletries

The lady who checked us in was amazing-room was clean, and conveniently located!

The room was clean A/C was good the ceiling is really low no towel rack you pay for breakfast which is not a problem if the food actually tasted like what you pay for it i could get better for my money

ac kept the room cool, clean yes upon entry few minor things with the room left open water bottles were left, and food was stuck to the wall.

Clean, quiet and zero funky smell

The Lamar Hotel was wonderful. We had a several family member that all came together to celebrate a birthday. The hotel was very accommodating in keeping us all on the same floor. The hotel was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommended this hotel.
- 5/5
The only reason we stayed is because of the pool and unfortunately the pool was closed.
- 5/5
I really liked the nice, big room.

Nice hotel close to ballparks. Everything was great

The night time front desk wasn’t very welcoming or helpful
- 5/5
Awesome accommodation's for a family of five. Would stay again
- 4/5
Recommendations: no microwaves anywhere in the building and none for suites either…that is a must have. Bigger tv’s in the suites because the 32” was hard to watch. Please upgrade the breakfast. We paid for : nights breakfast but only had it one night because the cook refused to take breakfast orders which front desk said we could order from menu but cook said no. The breakfast buffet did not have goods that I eat like oatmeal, different bread options like waffles and different potato options. Thanks
- 5/5
Expedia did not honor the free breakfast when I booked upset with Expedia
- 5/5
Nice place and they took me took Globe life Field.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Front desk staff were awesome and very helpful. Gym was also very clean and had more equipment than most hotels.
- 5/5
Very clean with comfortable beds. Check in was quick and easy.
- 5/5
Very nice place and convenient to the event we attended.
- 5/5
Crown plaza was nice and clean the staff was wonderful so the room I had didn’t have a microwave and we called downstairs to the front desk to see if they have one around but the front desk pert said no but if they have one available they will bring it up and they did we was so surprised and happy because where we from they don’t do that! So Thank you staff for doing that!
- 5/5
Very clean! Staff is amazing
- 5/5
The location is key, right off the Hwy. Very nice hotel, the lobby and hotel room.
- 4/5
Easy to get to restaurants and entertainment around the area
- 4/5
Front staff was very friendly, clean room and comfortable beds. Only complaints are the hairdryers were dirty and sticky I had to use a wash cloth to hold while using it and in the day before we left housekeeping only made up one bed and did not clean the bathroom or restock us with towels.
- 5/5
Good hotel for Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington
- 5/5
It was actually a great experience. Very clean rooms. The view is awesome. Will come back again
- 5/5
The receptionist, Angie was the winner for us. The facility was right off the freeway which was good for us since we traveled from another state

I'm sharing my experience at the Crowne Plaza Suites Arlington by IHG hotel. The service was excellent. We were treated with great kindness and respect at the front desk. The girl who checked us in was very friendly and had a great smile. I loved it. Another thing I noticed about the parking is that you don't have to search far, as you can find a spot to leave your vehicle right there. I also liked that the building is very clean, both inside and out. If you're planning a trip, I 100% recommend it. There were no problems sleeping. This is my first time at this hotel. I give it a 10. I highly recommend it. My family and I had a very pleasant night.
- 5/5
Had an amazing time! We stayed for the Ateez concert. The hotel service and room were great. Very clean with the room being very spacious. We didn’t get a chance to use all the amenities however we will definitely consider staying here next time!
- 5/5
We only stayed one night but it was clean and quiet, will stay again.
- 5/5
Very clean and spacious suite with comfortable beds and separate room with sofa. Beautiful hotel close to Globe Field with a free shuttle to the game. Would stay again in a heartbeat
- 5/5
Wonderful experience and Sol made it even better! Definitely request one of the updated rooms. This will be my go to Hotel when I travel to Arlington, Tx.
- 5/5
A little dated but still awesome overall
- 3/5
The room was ok, but could have used a facelift. The shower head leaked when turned on. The TVs could have used an update too. They were pretty small and old.
- 3/5
Of all the times we’ve ever stayed there room 232 did not have a view at all and I understand I’m not there for a view, but it does help. We could not get the air conditioner to cool below 70°.
- 4/5
Room always clean and the indoor pool
- 5/5
My only complaint was the room didn’t have a microwave. Everything else was great.
- 4/5
The property is a little outdated but very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. There is nothing but this hotel parked in a heavily industrial/ highway area. The location is only accessible by public transportation. Shuttles, uber, taxi, your own vehicle. One small restaurant inside, limited hours, but decent food. It was rather inconvenient for anything that's not being held in the hotel.
- 5/5
The bartender on during our stay was extremely friendly and excellent. He went out of his way to serve us. My only complaint was the trolly service which was TERRIBLE. Never showed and made us late for baseball game. It should not be advertised as a way to get to places if it wasnt provided. Will probably stay at a hotel closer to stadium next time to not rely on bad service from trolly line
- 5/5
Convenient to events and attractions in area.
- 5/5
Room was nice. Kids liked the suite.
- 4/5
The room amenities were fairly scarce. NO USB or USC to charging ports, and very few plugins. The mini fridge was a little rickety, but it worked. No microwave, but that was ok. The shower seemed to leak out onto the floor in the bathroom no matter how hard we tried to seal up the shower curtain against the wall. We only had one hand towel?? However, asked for more at the front desk & someone delivered them to our room quickly. Oh, and the elevators were iffy, particularly one of them. We made the front desk aware, and they took take of it. Maid service was great, and the people were friendly. Beds were comfy. Loved the lime water! Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Very close to everything in Arlington. Staff was very accommodating. Will definitely stay again.
- 3/5
Hotel was good. Only issue was the restaurant/bar service, very poor and rude. The server was kind and polite. The manager or supervisor was rude
- 4/5
I definitely will stay again. Its great place to stay especially if you are going to the Rangers game!
- 1/5
Front staff and management. Super argumentative and not friendly
- 4/5
Great location. Right in between Dallas and Ft Worth. Very close to the Ranger’s Stadium and 6 Flags. Staff was mostly friendly. The bartender was great. It appeared they had a trolley to go to the stadiums and 6 flags. We didn’t use it but would have if we were going to a game.
- 5/5
Loved the atmosphere and overall vibe. I felt safe indoors and outside. Beautiful. Comfy. Spacious. Felt like home. Staff was kind, courand professional. Easy check in and easy check out. And coffee!
- 5/5
Everything was excellent the room was really nice only 1 complaint and that was the breakfast didn’t enjoy it at all
- 3/5
It was good but not great. Head board has stains and room was dusty
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean room!

This is a fantastic property. I've stayed their with my wife twice now and both times have been top notch. AC is nice and cold, the beds are plush and comfortable, staff is friendly, warm, and welcoming.

When we first arrived m, they told us it was $50 a night for the deposit and we stayed for 3 nights. There was nowhere on the website where it says what the deposit is and they made me feel like it was my fault that I didn’t know this. Then when we went to our room, my 7 year old grandson noticed blood on our bed! It looked fresh so we called and they sent someone to check to see if I was telling the truth. Then the sent a maid to change the bed sheets. Then, the last day we were there, we decided to have the breakfast buffet and my grandchildren were so excited. We didn’t want to go when there was a lot of people there so we decided to wait until and hour before the stopped serving breakfast. They failed to also change that on the website that the have “the right” to change the time they stop serving breakfast. Yep, you guessed it… no breakfast! We won’t be going back!
- 2/5
The staff here are very rude, from the breakfast lady to the front desk and when we brought it up to the lady at checkout she acted like she didn't care about our complaint. Definitely will not be staying here again

The staff were all very nice. The fact it’s on the trolley route for Globe Life Field was a huge bonus.
- 1/5
the breakfast was bland and very few options. coffee was all water. the toiletries were cheap and it was so hot in the hallways. i will not be staying at a crowne plaza in the future.
- 5/5
Honestly, the room was great but there was hair in the shower. I did not mind paying for the breakfast but there wasn't much of a selection for $45 (mom, dad & kid). As far as kid friendly. No pancakes, waffles or atleast cereal.
- 5/5
We booked a room last minute after another hotel canceled our reservation with no notice. The front desk staff was super nice and helpful. The room was clean, comfy and very aestheticly pleasing.
- 5/5
The area and the hotel was extremely nice.
- 4/5
Didn't like the $50 deposit for any damage that MIGHT be incurred. Never in my life has there been damage caused by me or anyone else in my party in the 50+ years of travelling or even in home rental. I find this PERSONALLY offensive, even though it seems it is a common practice.

Mattresses were very hard. Kids were allowed in workout area to play on equipment like a playground. When staff were told that we were unable to work out, due to the excessive amount of kids, they did not care.

I loved the stay. It was clean, plenty of space, nice and friendly staff. The indoor pool was also very nice.

the hotel was clean and comfortable, staff was very helpful. breakfast options wrre good for the price. however the hotel and rooms are very dated / old. it didnt bother me or affect my stay as i was only there for 1 night... it was convenient, reasonably priced abd comfortable which is what mattered to me. oh and there was no safe included in the room which was annoying.

My son had appointments at Children’s Hospital, we have stayed here before and really like the spacious room. It is close to the hospital. We never hear any loud obnoxious noise or sounds. We really like staying here.

Room was spacious, breakfast options were good, and close to stadium.

Very comfortable sleep arrangements. Nice temp settings (cool) and very quiet. My only negative was not having a microwave in the room.

Went to watch CECC for my friends little brother, had a buddy stay with me at the hotel. The front desk lady was very helpful. Even got up at 4am to grab drinks by the desk. Very convenient. Would stay here again.

Staff is really friendly but specially Elaina! She was awesome. Went in for a tournament and the hotels are clean.

Reception could not have been less helpful and dismissive when I called asking to change the name on the booking to my husband as I would no longer be able to make the trip due to a family funeral. Charged for B&B when it should have been included. Overall really poor experience.

Was never told until getting to desk to check in that cant use 5 of the 6 cards i had with me. Would not take my $50 incedental pmt so had to cancel bc thry wouldnt tske those cards after i already paid for room with very sane card. Receptionist got call from cust relations while i waited on hold and she just put the cust rel lady on hold and went back to texting on her personal phone. So they got my 169 for the room but i never got to stay in the room and will not refund it

Older hotel, well maintained, clean, friendly staff.

Front desk, staff seem to be occupied with multiple things and took longer than necessary to check us in. First room had stains all over the blanket that were red and brown, second room, not much better as far linens are concerned. The next day staff changed the linens in the room.

Experience was very enjoyable

Service overall was bumped up simply because of one person. Tiara, the front desk attendant, is one the best people in hospitality that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. We came to order a lunch, which was closed an hour earlier than stated, and she helped us. Appreciate her going above and beyond for us.
