Friendly staff at front desk. Great service from the gentleman that makes sure everything is out for breakfast and that everyone is pleased. When I checked in I put a $50 deposit for the little store. When I went to use it for what I had gotten in the little store the card used could not be found. I went and got a different card charged the $50 deposit again, I did get my change back on that card. On my Fortiva card I was charged $50 deposit not refunded nor used. This is the first card I used for the $50 deposit when I checked in and front desk could not find. I am due a $50 refund.

We were very pleased with the friendly and helpful staff. We had to add a night after original reservation was made. They worked with us to keep us in the same room.

It took 2 hours after we check in at 3pm to get a room due to them not having it ready. We were told repeatedly that it was going to take 30mins to get it ready it wasn’t. Folded out the couch bed and the Mattress topper was full of dog hair, and the staff don’t care to help in any way.

My husband and i were traveling from visiting family. We got in late from a tire blow out. We waited 10/15 min for the front desk to start checking us in. Jamie the night manager was horrible at her job as a customer service representative. She was not polite or courteous. She had our dates wrong in her system. We sat fighting with hotels and Jamie for at least 2hrs. Jamie hung up multiple times on hotels.com. She wouldn't accommodate us. I showed her on my phone our itinerary but that was not enough for her. We ended up going next door to hilton garden. They took care of us and told us that other people have had issues with her. Hilton garden said that she canceled our booking.

Room was spacious but outdated and had minimal towels based on number of people staying in the room. Overall appearance of the hotel seemed dated and not well maintained. The pool was not operational basketball court was not usable. Complementary breakfast was minimal, and no other perks were noted as a majority of the machines were nonfunctional. The staff was very helpful and always gracious with any request my wife and I had..

They actually told us when we were puzzled about the number of beds in the room, ‘At this hotel, a king is intended to accommodate three parties’

But this time around coffee was cold. Breakfast wasn’t good. Low on some items. Coffee creamer was one item. Everything else was good.

We enjoyed our stay on our return trip. There were minor issues with the room (toilet wasn't working properly - needs a new anti-siphon valve - and the towel hook on the bathroom door was not secured). We were disappointed that the swimming pool was empty (a sign indicated it would re-open May 1) and the fitness room was closed due to renovations. Breakfast was great. Overall, a good place to stay.

Staff was very courteous. They put us in a room with a shaved door and broken TV to start, though. Once we found that all out, they resolved by moving us to a larger, nicer suite.

Staff assured my request, friendly and genuine. Awesome room with big TV, hot shower with excellent pressure, quiet, good lighting, nice kitchen, pod coffee, comfy bed, all very spacious, inviting, spotlessly kept. Love it all! Lobby and dining area was lovely. Roomie hallways. My dog was welcomed and had plenty of grass to sniff and roam.

Hotel had a weird smell to it. Key cards didnt work most of the time. Digital key worked once. Pool was dirty. Pool towels are the size of a dinner napkin. Pet fee is 75 plus tax. It is NOT a deposit. Waffles were amazing. Taste of the other food was not the greatest. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms were clean.

Don’t stay! The worst customer service I have ever seen. The management here is only for themselves and making as much money on your rooms as they can. They will pretend to be your best friend but if something goes wrong the management will become evil on you and blame everything on the customer. Horrible horrible customer service. I would steer clear of this hotel until management changes.

The management to this hotel absolutely sucks! All they care about is getting in your wallet, I gave my credit card one time and they charged my card over $800 and locked my card, it was on the weekend so I couldn’t contact bank so i was screwed because of them. But when they couldn’t get that money every employee in that hotel was rude aggressive, very disrespectful and clearly blamed all the issues on me and me out to be a bad person. I got my card straight and paid for my room and the next morning I get an email saying I had to leave and they refused to honor my new reservation I made the next night. Check out is at noon and they are so damn rude and disrespectful that two employees came to my room at 10:00am on day they told me I wasn’t allowed to stay there banged on my damn door to tell me in person I was to be checked out at noon and they would not honor my new reservation. All this because they screwed me and pretended it was 100% my fault. The general manager and manager Anita are by far the worlds worse customer relations people I have ever met. They will play you and talk u up like you mean something to them and if something goes wrong you better watch out because the evil will come out and see you. Please don’t stay at this hotel for your own good unless management changes quick.

Our stay started off good, but we later found 2 different hidden old dried blood spots on an extra pillow & the comforter. When communicating with the GM, she accused us because we didn’t report the first incident the night before. Then, stated we would not be refunded due to booking with Expedia & accidentally selecting the wrong guest amount. Zero responsibility was taken, not even a sincere apology. And she did not care how unsanitary & dangerous a strangers blood is consideration all the evidence we had presented. I also have screenshots of her very rude email! Do not book this location ever!

I travel a LOT and stay at many different hotel chains. This was my first time with the hotel but definitely not my last! I’ll be looking for them when I travel from now on. The Amarillo staff is just amazing. EVERY person we interacted with was so friendly and helpful.

Stayed a weekend, pool was open but needed maintenance (very dirty). Second floor suites smelled horrible. The only thing that was great was the staff and breakfast :)

Spacious suite with full equipped kitchen and have dishes to use. Full size refrigerator and sofa bed available. Some towels that we got are stained and had to be exchanged at front desk. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and had options between scrambled eggs, cereals, waffles, oats, fruits. Right off I-40 if you are trying to use this just as a layover onto your destination. Right across the road from sam's club. Parking is well lit on the front but didn't feel that secure on the back

The hotel was really clean and the room was really nice

I wanted to really like the hotel but overall it was only ok. This was my second stay and just not impressed, especially for the cost. The room wasn't the cleanest with dust collected in corners, questionable shower floor (glad I had crocs to wear!), hair on bathroom walls. Also, there was an odd smell throughout hotel. I have a sensitive nose so it may smell fine to most.

We stayed here once and then decided to stay another night when passing through Amarillo. The first time was great. This last time we checked in the the room there was food in the fridge from I assume, previous guests. There was a wash rag in the bathroom that was used and hair in the bathtub walls. I’m sure it was not intentional or probably missed by the cleaning employees but it would have been a better experience if it was all attended. Overall it was an okay stay besides that.

There was food still stuck on the counter from people before. There was no sponge or washcloth to wash dishes with even though you provide dish soap and the thing that was the most annoying was the sheets didn’t even stay on the bed. It looked like there was queen sheets on a king bed and you couldn’t move in bed without the sheets rolling up off the edges. But other than those the place is a good spot to stay!

There was a slight mix up with information sent from Expedia to the hotel. The staff was amazing, got it fixed in a few minutes and treated us like family. We visit the area a few times a year, and we will definitely stay here again! Close to the mall, free breakfast, and comfortable beds. It's everything you need in a hotel stay, in Amarillo.

A suggestion for improvement: The notice on the laundry room door should mention that an ID is required to gain access. When I went to use the facility, the sign stated that a key was needed and could be obtained at the front desk—no problem. However, when I went down, no one was there, and I had to wait about five minutes for someone to appear. That’s when I was told I also needed my ID. I went back up to my room—fortunately, it was near the elevator—grabbed my ID, and returned to the front desk, only to find that the staff member had disappeared again. I waited another five minutes. Two cleaning staff members (off the clock) arrived but didn’t acknowledge me. When the front desk employee finally returned, she spoke in Spanish with the cleaning staff, making rude remarks about me, assuming I wouldn’t understand. When I let them know I did, they were shocked and nervous, expecting me to make a scene as more guests arrived. By that point, I was exhausted. I just wanted to do my laundry so I could pack and head home the next morning. Another suggestion: If staff need to step away, a sign indicating when they’ll return would be helpful. I’m a patient person and understand if someone needs a break, but clear communication would improve the experience.

Lovely inside. Outside, not so much. The pet area stunk like high heaven from a ways away. And the pool area, closed for the season, was in disarray which was the view from upper floors.

It was nice to be given a ground floor room, as we travel with a lot of medical equipment and a dog. Very happy with how the “suite” was laid out. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were all extremely friendly. Free breakfast was very good too.

Good location but the second floor had a foul smell

We would highly recommend this hotel. We only stayed overnight, but it was a welcome respite after 11 hours on the road. Had reserved from the road, and front desk check-in was easy and pleasant. Room was spacious, clean, and attractive. TV was large and pivoted so you could easily watch from living area or from bed. Kitchen had a full-size fridge (very clean), cooking surface, and dishwasher. Didn't pay attention to what was in cupboards since we did not eat there. We will definitely consider Homewood Suites when we travel in the future.

Your pet fee is WAY too expensive. I paid almost as much for 1 dog as I did for a room with a king bed, pull out sofa and kitchenette. Just ridiculous!

The hotel itself was very nice. The staff was very pleasant. The only thing I am disappointed about was the cost for having a pet. We had a cat, which stayed in her crate, in the bathroom, and the cost was $75.00. Anywhere else I have stayed with the cat was only $25.00. $75.00 is TOO MUCH! Everything else about the hotel was excellent.

Wonderful!!! Except I couldn’t log onto Wi-Fi and night person didn’t seem at all concerned. Also eggs were waaaaay overcooked at breakfast buffet.

Miserable hotel that placed me in a room that was never cleaned, had a wet floor, no towels or paper towels in the “kitchen” and charged me $75 for a pet fee on a $100 one night stay. Never again.

The noise levels in the rooms were unbearable. I could hear every step from the room above, with constant creaking throughout the night, which made it impossible to get any sleep. On top of that, the pull-out sofa was a spring-based design and so uncomfortable that it was impossible to rest on it for more than a few minutes. Overall, this place is a nightmare for light sleepers, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a restful stay.

My husband has a disability with paralysis on one side of his body due to this I was unable to bath him due to no bath chair nor shower seat as shown in the room selection choosen specifically for this. Every hotel stay we always carry my husband service animal (shitzu) since his massive stroke 1 yr ago. Due to this I am very selective on hotel stays as this is not an easy task with my husband's condition. All in all our stay was not what I had anticipated when I booked the room of choice. Pet selection should be noted when booking so one is well aware of the downgrade one is getting prior to booking or checking in. I paid for convenience not an inconvenience.....

We have stated here several times in the past couple of years. Just a couple of minor issues like the bath tub drain not holding. The staff are always very nice here.

The hotel area and rooms were very clean and updated. The room showed no wear and tear and was very comfortable.

Room was very clean, which is the most important thing to me. The hotel is under construction, which is not noted when booking. Upon entering, you are greeted with a huge mess. Hopefully that will be rectified soon. I really enjoyed the unique layout of the room, and it was all very very comfortable. I would definitely book here again when returning on business.
