Drury Inn & Suites Amarillo

We love staying at Drury Inns when we travel because of the early dinner and excellent breakfast. After a long day on the road, the last thing I want to do is get back in the car to go find dinner. They’re always clean and the staff is friendly. We are big fans!

They had roaches in the room.

Staff members were all very personable and helpful. Food and drinks in the evening were excellent and breakfast was top-notch.

Just wish after a long day of travel that the reception would've been available! Got there like an hour after it ended so nothing. Just a glass of wine to unwind with would've been a nice jester since we'd miss the reception.

Overall stay was good, had a great dinner buffet. Easy access to I-40… Although it didn’t effect our stay we found a dirty sock on the floor in the room. Probably just overlooked but needs to be more attentive to cleaning!

The staff is immensely friendly all of them with the heart of a servant. They offer a free dinner, free drinks, and free breakfast. I didn’t think places like this even existed anymore. If you stay anywhere else in Amarillo, you’re wasting your time.

the only thing I would suggest is to train the staff if that happens again, someone from the hotel should inform the patrons who responded to the fire alarm and went outside when it is okay to return to their room. No one from the hotel informed us it was okay to return to our room. every one just went back on their own. there were people staying in the hotel who lost everything in the bishop hills fire and were standing outside the hotel with their 5 children 8, 6, 5 3, and 6 months.

Everything was great about this place until you take a shower. The showerhead was old and in poor condition and the tub floor was dangerously slick. Very unsafe!

We loved this hotel. The free food & drinks at the kickback nightly was a huge plus. Breakfast was a good variety as well. My kiddos loved the hot tub & pool. It was very clean as well.

Hot tea would be a nice option for breakfast. Flavored coffee creamers also.

The Tv remote did not work very well I had to really get close and push the buttons hard.

Breakfast was mediocre. Elevators very busy. Only 2 elevators. So much time wasted waiting to get up and down!!! The bathrooms could be cleaner, the beds are comfortable but not the pillows. I would not choose this hotel again. The employees were great! The location was great.

Decent place to stay overnight passing through town. It's great that they accept pets although the $60 per pet per night fee at this particular location is a bit out of hand in my opinion. The breakfast is decent enough to get your day started although nothing to write home about. Nightly dinner and happy hour is a nice touch as well.

Over all our stay was great. The staff is great! So kind and helpful! I've stayed here 3 times and most recent was in the front side of the hotel. It was quite a bit noisier then when we stayed in the back rooms before. AC made horrible shaking noises all night but overall beds were comfy and clean.

Kimberli at the front desk was fabulous! Our suite was clean, quiet, and much needed after a week of driving. Breakfast and dinner ("snacks" are more like a full meal) were well-prepared, plentiful, and hit the spot. We make it a point to stay here whenever we have to stop in Amarillo, and our experience here has caused us to recommend Drury to friends (they have not been disappointed).

This was our sixth stay, and it really says a lot that we keep coming back. We’ve stayed in September, October, December, January, last week, and again yesterday. During a previous stay, there was no soap or body lotion, and this time there was soap available, which we appreciated—but still no body lotion, so I had to buy it again. I especially want to mention the lady from the afternoon shift who always welcomes us—she has been there every time we’ve stayed, and she is consistently kind, warm, and attentive. I will make sure to ask for her name next time, because she truly deserves recognition. Overall, the entire staff is very pleasant and welcoming. It’s the people who make the difference. I don't remember the last time I slept as well! My husband slept from 10pm to 7:45am within waking up once. We couldn't believe it! We love everything about this hotel, except I wish there was a fruit salad or even fruit cocktail on the breakfast buffet. It would be great to have a piece of cake or dish of ice cream on the evening buffet too. We have never taken advantage of the free beer and wine, but lots of people do!

This hotel was clean, well staffed, and full of amenities that elevate the stay to a high level. I appreciate the balance between selve service and carefully guided options. While not elaborate in decorative or stylized furnishings, every area was clean and modern, as well as minimalized enough to not feel cluttered or confusing. This was my first stay at a Drury Inn, but it will not be my last!

Clean hotel with so many wonderful amenities and kind staff. We were greeted immediately upon entering the lobby with our two girls and small dog. The hotel lobby itself is beautiful. The rooms are modern and will have everything you need. Our stay was enjoyable, but we were just passing through town and did not have a whole lot of time at our hotel. One of my daughters got to enjoy the pool some with her dad for about an hour before closing time.

They still didn’t have both elevators working, which was a problem 5 weeks. Not acceptable with a 5 story hotel.

While the room was comfortable and clean and the included breakfast was good, I did not enjoy my experience at the Drury. I hope this review encourages them to address this issue.

Upon my arrival I was impressed since its layout is different than other Drury hotels I’ve stayed at. I was unimpressed with some of the trash in the lobby & elevator tho. Staff was nice & professional and breakfast was fine. The parking to me was a bit sketchy tho. It’s basically a part Drury pkg connected to restaurant pkg with full accessibility to anyone.

We loved the evening drinks &appetizers, also a good hot breakfast. We were hereabout a month ago. I usually dont complain when theres an elevator out, but we came back a month later (this time)and they are still packing people into one elevator during those aw esome perks includedinto the room. Its super inconvenient. The elevator was packed like sardines when we were going down, you have one staffer inside helping everyone. We decided totake the stairs that time. Im only saying something because i want to stay again. But my husband told me thst i would need to call first and ask if yourve gotton the other elevator fixed before I can book with you all again. Its also hard to bring the luggage trolly on with a bunch of people. Please fix your 2nd elevator soon. 🙏

Our room was wonderful except wish there was a freezer area in the mini refrigerator. The included 5:30 to 7 pm. Food and 3 drinks per person were good with several options. A good value and we would give Drury another try in the future.

One elevator out of service for over 2 weeks.

Stayed twice in three weeks and one elevator was out of service both times. Invest in the timely maintenance of the critical resources like your elevator. The downed elevator was highly disruptive to all guests experience. Highly disappointing. I stay here multiple times a year and will consider other options after the consistent failure to Maintain the elevator.

The staff was very courteous. The room was clean but the hotel was packed with people and dogs. The upcharge for the pet is very high at $60. Most places are $25.

This hotel is very nice. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. However, there was no Internet. What I don’t like about this Drury is that you have to enter through the front lobby. There's always a lot of people in the lobby, and we have two small dogs with us. The breakfast is fine, but I would love it if they had parfaits on their buffet. There's another hotel on I-40 that we've stayed at for many years for that very reason. They serve a wonderful breakfast, but that hotel is not as clean as the Drury.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, good restaurant for breakfast. Would stay again.

This was my first stay at a Drury Inn and I was surprised that they had a complementary dinner, with wine or beer if you’d like plus a soda pop machine… They may always offer this option, but I considered it an add-on that was very nice.

Clean room and very friendly staff. Slow elevator and wish there were a little more seating for dinner option. Plan to stay there again!

Busy Holiday Season. Odd that elevators not working. They overcharge per pet ($120 for two small pets for one night). NOT WORTH THE PRICE - will not be back.

Clean rooms great breakfast

Both the kickback and breakfast times were busy as usual but there seemed to be little to no staff cleaning tables or emptying trash. One elevator was broken during our stay but they did their best to work around it and even allowed us to keep our booking even though they had tried to contact us to cancel due to the elevator issue.

Setup in room 519 was strange needs updated. Maybe we were spoiled with Springfield mo drury stay the night before they had a beautiful walk in shower and was spotless. other than that service was great

Everything was great about the stay, room, food, etc. The only downfall was that there was a group in the hot tub drinking, smoking and vaping. No one else could go into the tub, they monopolized the whole night. Pool was ice cold. There should not be alcohol in the pool area. This is a family area!

Desk clerk was a young man who spoke so low I had to keep asking him what he was saying and also not very friendly.

Rooms are always very clean, the whole place is inviting and just our kind of place. Excellent staff, usually most the same staff are there each tme. We also really enjoy the evening kickback time and food.

The staff was welcoming, helpful, and tried to accommodate my every wish. How cool is that! Drury Inn's 5:30 pm appetizers and drinks is a complete winner. The staff at front desk and the bar were so patient and kind -- made it a great unique experience.

It was so nicely decorated and a calm atmosphere. The room was really nice and the bed was so comfortable. We were so surprised to find that we could get free sodas all day, and free dinner each night, along with 3 drinks! The staff were helpful and friendly.

My sister and I enjoyed our one night stay in Amarillo. The property was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant. When I booked our stay I did not know there would be a complimentary dinner which was a very nice surprise and it was good. The hotel is conveniently located off of I-40.

we like staying at Drury inn and suites . we do a lot of traveling with our children and its nice not only to have enough space but also the option to enjoy a little bit of dinner at our hotel after long days out exploring .

We chose to stay at the hotel on our return trip because the night stay the week before was so good. We also enjoyed the free cocktails when we arrived and breakfast the next morning when we left as part of the package.. We really appreciated the free upgrade to an even nicer room.

I really like the staff member that checked me in, she was just wonderful. The room is great, so far I'm very comfortable.

Clean and quiet

We did use the hot tub on our second visit and recommend the property clean both the hot tub and pool and the interiors are stained brown. You could still get in them and use them but kind of gives a weird vibe when you see the brown.

We were traveling from Georgia to Phoenix, Arizona and Amarillo was a good stop between, but our arrival was much later than we had anticipated, and the hotel was gracious and ready for us when we arrived well after midnight, both going and coming. The rooms were clean and spacious, the breakfast was great, and the staff was top-notch!

Drury Inn is a very nice hotel chain. this location is very nice and convenient to interstate and lots of restaurants. Be wary of panhandlers in parking lot.

We were not able to enjoy most of the perks like dinner and a beer. We arrived late , but our beds were comfy, and the facility was clean.

This hotel is great. They have a manager’s special every night which is a free happy hour. We don’t need to find a restaurant, because we can come in eat and relax the rest of the evening. We have been here 2 times and the food offered has been different each time.

We had a great experience starting with Kimberli who checked us in and was so friendly and welcoming. The reception was nice, the beds comfortable, and the spa relaxing!

We traveled for 14 hours and were looking forward to a quick bite. However, we arrived about 5 minutes before 7 when the complimentary dinner ended. Kimberly, at the front desk, checked our reservations and then insisted that we eat before heading to our room. This was so appreciated! Her kindness was so appreciated!!

Is the first time that I take my dog for a trip and I don’t have any complaints at all. Everyone was so friendly. from the front desk to the dining servers. The room clean and confortable. breakfast and dinner was excellent. My main concern was traveling with my pet Because, I read on hotels reviews that after your leave, they charge to the credit card ridiculous fees for take your pet with you. But not on Drury Inn, no surprise fees. Definitely my next adventure with my Dog (Oso) I will stay in a Drury Hotel.
