Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Amarillo I-40 West, TX

Location was close to restaurants, fuel, and shopping. It is close to major roadways but we had no issues with noise.

We stayed on our way home to Missouri. The place was clean, but needs some updating. Breakfast wasn't anything special, but there are other places to eat. It was quite and just off the interstate.

Clean and quiet.

Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Staff allowed me to bring my tadpole trike inside for peace of mind. Area seemed safe. Parking was open and well lit. Convenient to the bypass loop. Room did not smell like pine sol or whatever the strongly scented cleaners are that are used in less appointed hotels. Biscuits and gravy were part of the breakfast. Loved that. Dining are was a bit crowded when I arrived, so I just grabbed the biscuits and coffee and returned to my room. Lots of clean towels and clean bedding. No insects seen. Did not avail myself of the gracious noon checkout, but it was a welcome surprise.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Quaint and charming! We loved the original old style of everything! Some would say its outdated or way behind in style. But we thought it was perfect! From the outside it looked like an old college? The place had sooo much character! The room was soo cold! So the AC worked great! Water pressure was great! Breakfast had plenty of options! We have stayed at many modern and updated hotels. But this one was our favorite! My husband said he only wants to stay in the historical looking hotels from now on!

The air conditioner was messed up and my room was warm, but I wasn’t there much so I didn’t complain on a 2 night stay.

This was a nice spot to stop at. The bathrooms are small, but we made it work. The pool area was nice.

Did not like the over all security of deadbolts in our rooms..had to move to somewhat decent room. Will give credit for manager finding a room last minute. Maintenance staff needs to address safety protocols to keep future tenants safe. Will find other options.

It was easily accessible from I40 Saw a guest letting his pet poop right on the driveway where you pull your car to the office area. He didn't even bother to clean it up.

Breakfast was not to the bar of hotel at this price range. Super small room and bathroom. It is a motel at super 8 level. Totally not worth the money

Ok stay. Average breakfast. Bad experience leaving. Upon our late arrival, they asked us to park our U-Haul truck in the gravel parking lot across the street. We followed their directions and found in the morning. The gravel lot had turned into a mud pit with overnight rain. We were unable to. Truck and the front staff was no help at all. They just shrugged their shoulders and said we don’t know what to do. They suggested we call A tow company, but they would not pay for it. We were towed out with no help from them.

Room furnishings were dated, with insufficient outlets for charging. The bathroom was very small. Breakfast was typical for lodging in this category of hotels.

We didn’t get up early enough to enjoy the breakfast but it’s nice to know that it was available.. and it smelled really good!! The pool and hot tub were very nice and relaxing even though there were kids splashing around everywhere.. it was nice to see everyone having a good time. Our room was very big and the king size bed was very very comfortable!! Thank u Country Inn we will see you again soon!!

The front was ok but at first, no one was up front. The lady in staff was busy talking to someone and watching videos on their phone so we had to wait to get checked in. That lady that helped us seemed like we were more of a bother to her. the room had a very strong musty and stale odor like an antique store. We tried to open windows for fresh air but the windows wouldn’t open. They were jammed shut. That night I heard running up n down the hall w screaming and doors slamming. Finally passed out around 10:30 pm. Around 1:30 a.m. I was woke up to loud music playing and loud yelling and partying. Was not able to go back to sleep. They were partying until 4:30 am. At that point we got up and showered so we could get going home. So didn’t get to try the breakfast. The lady in the morning was nice. We will never stay there again. Driving 7 hours on 3 hours sleep is not safe. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our room smelled terrible! Smelled like urine. The bed was ok but the pillows were awful. This is an older hotel that needs remodeling. The breakfast was not that good either. Definitely do not stay here!!

Very nice property

I love this place. Stay here once a year. I brought my family down this time. I raved about the pool and the fountain that used to flow into it. We arrived and unfortunately the fountain was down. Would like to see this up and running again. It really adds to the experience. There was also an injured bird that was fairly aggressive as you walked into the entrance on the north side of the property. So I was not a huge fan of that. But the room was great and we all had a great time. We will be back as I’m sure these were all one offs.

Door to the bathroom opens literally *into* the toilet, annoying but obviously not a dealbreaker. Cute pool! I felt that the price ($175) didn’t really reflect the condition and amenities, but it was fine for our stop on a road trip.

Not a bad little hotel for an overnight traveling. It’s obvious they take pride in hotel even being older. Carpet in room was a little rough. Sheets comfy and clean, towels super soft, breakfast was decent. All in all an excellent value for the price.

For what they’re charging, just go somewhere else.

Older property that needs a lot of TLC. The Staff are friendly, however, one gentleman was very flustered when I had issues with Expedia, he said he couldn’t help me, I tried telling him how to fix the issue, but he couldn’t grasp what I was saying. Finally , I asked if the mgr was there, ( I knew she was), she fixed the issue in 2 minutes. Anyway, the people are great , the property needs a remodel.

Our room was amazing. Bedroom with 2 beds. Love that it had a living room with fold out couch. 2 tvs and plenty of room. Breakfast was good. Was excited about the huge hot tub and pool area. The hot tub was cold so that was sad for us.

This is our go to place to stay when traveling through Amarillo. My only request is better breakfast options.

A very clean and comfortable property. Our room was larger than expected, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good! Though our room was larger than expected, the bathroom was really tight. The door could not be opened all of the way because it hit the shower curtain rod. Maneuvering around in the bathroom was a bit difficult because the door had to be closed in order to use the toilet and shower. This is nothing that can be changed, it's just a bad design.

Location. A/C did not work in Room 232. I could have chosen the Altrea Inn down the road for only $75, but I chose to pay $35 more for no A/C, a horrible warm breakfast and a dated interior. Avoid Country Inn and Suites, you can do better!

The pros- It has the makings a of a quaint property, check in was quick, breakfast had plenty of options, there was wi-fi and a pool. The cons- the room smelled like dog and cigarettes and had broken tile on the floor, the sofa had cigarette burns in it, the carpeting needs to go, there isn’t enough seating at breakfast nor enough parking spots.

The real star here is a guy called Steve - super friendly and accommodating. In addition to checking us in, he also served as bartender that night, and was manning the egg station the following morning. Got to be the hardest working man in Weatherford.

This Hotel was advertised as being new in January 2026. There’s no way it’s that new. The bed was uncomfortable, there was damage to the ac unit, cracked floor tiles, and generally not clean. When I walked in, I passed at least 4 or 5 people with dogs in the lobby. We chose to leave and forfeit our room charge and found a nicer place to stay. Not sure how there are so many positive reviews.

Rated 8-9 stars is crazy this hotel was a complete dump. Dirty super outdated not the nicest staff. Most uncomfortable bed every, zero noise control you can hear everything on your entire floor. Do not recommend.

We had just stayed in a country inn in Hammond and knew this would be fine. Love the architecture of the building. The room was very good. Both hotels however have faucet problems. This one was the challenge of getting it to go on. There’s a very special way you get cold water and totally different way to get hot. Took awhile to figure out. Thank you

Just a one night stay with my dog. The bed was super comfy and the fridge cold. Even the breakfast was better than average. As a lone female, I felt safe at this property.

The pictures showed newer room carpet and cleaner. This worked for one night but the 9.0 rating fooled me into thinking might be nicer than it was. It's not horrific- it's a nice property that has aged and isn't getting the updates and maintenance it needs. Didn't check out the pool- so can't say anything about it- but I was happy this was just a one night stop over- Staff were friendly and nice entry way.

Honestly, so much dirtier than I was expecting based on its 9/10 rating. I don’t mind an older hotel when it’s well maintained but this one left me feeling disappointed and very relieved we were there for only one night. Corners of the room were filled with dust and the walls have never been wiped down. It was quite gross. It was apparent that years of drinks had been spilled on the wall behind the beds. The curb appeal of this place is amazing and the pool area is really lovely. But I would not want to sleep in a room there again unless they make some big changes.

Cable was down all weekend due to a city wide issue. Hotel wouldn’t give me a discount because I booked through this third party service instead of directly through them. So Expedia, if you’re reading this, I’d like a discount refunded back. Bed was also super uncomfortable too like sleeping on a trampoline. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay! Safe and quiet location.

Not as clean as I'd hoped, and past reviews didn't indicate otherwise, so I was disappointed. The pool area also needs to be cleaned. The breakfast was not appealing either. A piece of toast and cream cheese was good. Thankfully, the “gourmet” coffee was good, so that was a thumbs up. Go for the hotels next to it as they will be cleaner, and save yourself a couple of bucks. I feel a little duped. ✌️

The eggs during the breakfast time were a little watery other than that the breakfast was very good. The showerhead in the bathroom was OK, but you had to fiddle with it a bit but other than that our stay was satisfactory and we would come back again.

The hotel is family & pet friendly, it has a beautiful indoor pool with a waterfall, a large hot tub and a nice dining area for breakfast. The hotel staff always greet guests with a genuine welcome and are accommodating with questions.

Everything about the hotel was nice except the most important thing, the mattresses. Only slightly softer than the floor. I laid awake all night looking at the clock. If you don’t like sleeping on a very hard mattress you won't sleep. I mentioned it to the front desk....

On a positive note, the pool area was actually quite nice.

My stay was enjoyable, staff were helpful and awesome.

The sleeper sofa cushions were ripped. When you pulled the first part out there was dirt or whatever else all over. Then the sheets had little brown carp all over. The clerk did apologize but I as very disingenuous!

This property was in need of renovation. The carpet in the room was threadbare, the bathroom was in poor condition. There was what looked like a cigarette burn in the shower. Tile on the floor was missing grout. The shower insert moved when you moved in the shower and the shower head was at shoulder height. I’m 5’10”. The phone in the room had a blinking red light which the front desk could not shut off, I had to block it with stuff so I could not see it blinking all night. The bed side table did not have any outlet or charging ports. Just dated all around. I would not stay here.

Items to note would be the rust on the bathroom door frame, the hole in the fiberglass of the shower shelf and the mis matched furniture. Also it seriously lacked accessible outlets to be able to charge a couple phones.

This was a very disappointing stay. When we first got there the girl was not rude but not nice either. She seemed go hate her job and made no attempt to make eye contact or be personable. Then the breakfast area is very small for the size of the hotel. Breakfast was good but the breakfast clerk again was the same as the front desk clerk the night before. We planned on swimming that day but it was closed. We asked and no one knew when it would be open. The lady during the day was much nicer but still no one seemed to care or have urgency about the pool. Which as a family of 7 traveling that was a big part of why we book a hotel with indoor pool. The keys kept not working we had to go down and have them fix them multiple times. When we returned in the evening the pool was finally open but someone was having a bday party and it was packed. We waited about 30 mins and we finally went to the pool. The chlorine was so bad that it was hard to breathe.. all in a we will not return. Although a plus is housekeeping was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Disappointed in the lack of help from front desk attendant on Saturday morning around 7:15 am. Sign said pool/hot tub opens at 6:00 am but entry cards did not work. Both my wife and I talked to attendant and she said maintenance has to open it but there was no I'll call them or sorry it's not open. Amenities should be open as advertised since clients anticipate and pay for them to be used.

The pool area was very nice and our family enjoyed it a lot. We are going back Feb. 13 - Feb 16. I do hope we have a more updated room this time, so my daughter and family can visit us comfortably (hopefully a more comfortable couch and chair) sit and visit. There was a very nice breakfast in the morning, enjoyable, good coffee.

We had a very good experience with Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Amarillo I-40 West. Check in was very pleasant and efficient. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We loved the hot tub and the pool area was exquisite. Unfortunately, the pool was heated only to 81 degrees. A little too cool for our taste. Was quite disappointed with this, as we enjoyed pool exercise and I try to book lodging with heated pools. It was stated to have been heated to 86 degrees. But, my Apple Watch read differently when submerged down 2 feet. The breakfast was good as well. Lots of options for all to enjoy. Loved the chocolate chip cookies that welcomed you. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Tile was literally falling off the wall in the bathroom. The shower curtain barely fit the tub which made it challenging to ensure no water hit the floor. The rest of the room and facilities were fine. The staff was courteous and helpful.

We felt the variety was poor for a weekend.

We stayed at Countryside primarily because we were traveling with our pet dog, a Labrador retriever. We had been told that the hotel was pet friendly, and were not disappointed. The hotel staff and management were accommodating, seemingly due to our dedication to being responsible pet owners. We will stay there again if need be in the future.

We have stayed here multiple times and everything has been fine. However, the last room we stayed in had a strong smoke odor. Even though we were able to overlook it, I’m sure not all guests would agree. We also noticed the room was not as clean as usual. For example the shower head was dirty enough for me to wipe it off with a few Clorox wipes before showering. The staff is always friendly and helpful each time we have stayed. Just a few minor issues that could easily be resolved. Thank you

The room was very clean. It could use updating but overall it was nice. Breakfast was decent, but not great. The staff member when we checked in was not friendly at all, in fact she was on the verge of rude. Housekeeping was friendly, as was the front desk person when we checked out. We traveled with a small dog and the fee was very reasonable. Overall, this is a good place for a quick overnight stop.

Place looked like I walked into 1992. But it was late and I was tired. It was clean. Small tv, only had cable no smart apps, had to unplug the fridge it was so loud I could not sleep.

The room was big, clean and quiet. Lots of parking and close to restaurants. I went to the Outback Steakhouse after checking in, and it was only a 5 minute drive. The dining room could be bigger. When I went in there for breakfast, every table but one was taken. I sat there but felt a little guilty that I was a party of one and took the last table. I would stay there again.

Certainly, they gave me one of the worst room of the house. The hotel needs an urgent remodel. Carpet super old and dirty. The furniture stain and old. Ceiling had visible water damage. The window of the room need some kind of seal because the wind could filtrate though it. I could not sleep because whistle of the wind and to top it off there was not much hot water. I am not staying in this hotel again!

The lady at the front desk was very helpful and professional. After a long day of driving we appreciated being greeted immediately by a friendly face and quick service. The pool and spa were amazing, room extremely comfortable and the lobby had the charm of a mountain lodge. Very nice!

Could hear people walking upstairs. All the room doors slam. Parking lot is small and there were 4 or 5 trailers taking up 4 spots each. Feel bad for everyone who came after bc we took the last spot. Breakfast was waffle machine, bagel bread and muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juices/coffee, oatmeal packs. Hot food of eggs biscuits and gravy.

Liked everything about the hotel, only negative was they were pet friendly, but didnt have cribs/packnplays for infants to sleep, like most of the hotels we normally stay.

overall the motel is nice, BUT, when we went back there the sheets were very itchy, they did change the sheets upon request, much better, the swimming pool was semi cold, not warm enough to swim, but the hot tub is amazing, The breakfast is good, the service is good, They have very small pool towels childrens size. But we still enjoy staying there, They also serve cookies in the evening time & Iced water.

Our studio room was very clean and well supplied with fresh towels and "kitchen" items. The separate "living area" worked exceptionally well for studying/working. The beds and linens were very comfortable and cozy for a great night's sleep. The free breakfast offered a very nice assortment of hot and cold items and the staff person never let anything run out for guests. She was very responsive to any needs. The front desk clerk made our check-in at midnight smooth and efficient. Her warm friendly attitude made us feel welcome despite how tired we were from traveling all day. Enjoyed the spa and fitness room as well when some relaxation and exercise was needed. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when in Amarillo!!

Overall we really like staying at this hotel and location. Staff is helpful and friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. One thing I wished was different was the entry door to the room. It had so much light coming in around it and under it. Our last stay here didn’t have that issue so not sure why this room’s door was that way.

This was a great place to stay for the money. Breakfast was good. Sausage, eggs and potatoes. Only complaint was the sofa mattress. You could feel the bars underneath.

My families stay was great. The pool and hot tub worked and my family enjoyed it. The breakfast was decent like any other hotel. We didn’t have any issues with our stay to be honest, it was quiet during our stay. The only thing that I wasn’t pleased with were the doors. They could use some rubber to seal around the door and if they didn’t slam so loudly. The walls were thin. I could hear the room next to me talking. But overall, my family and I would stay again.

We stayed in Rm 118, all the fixtures showed rust, the room smelled moldy, the toilet had to be flushed 3 times for it to go, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain and the front end might staff was very rude. With so many choices around the area, I would not stay here again.

Because of recent reviews, we almost didn't stay here. In fact my husband thought he was booking a different hotel. But I'm glad he made this mistake. I don't know if there had been a recent change in staff or management, but our stay was great! Everything was clean, breakfast was good, staff were friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

I have to give 100% bad marks due to the A/C wall unit that smelled like urine and actually caused my sinuses to burn. This is because the A/C units are not cleaned properly by maintenance. When that happens they get mold and bacteria growth which causes the chemical build ups. Avoid this place. The bad A/C units and the smell make it not worth it.

Second time to stay here, reasonably priced rooms. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Lots of restaurants right down the road. This will be our “go to” stop next time traveling through Amarillo.
