- Clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Lack of included amenities such as WiFi, parking, and breakfast
- Issues with air conditioning, hot water, and noise levels in the rooms

For a hotel at this price point, I expected a clean, comfortable room with basic amenities functioning properly. Unfortunately, the musty odor and lack of air conditioning made it difficult to relax and enjoy our stay. I hope management addresses these maintenance issues, but based on this experience, I would not stay here again.

Hotel under construction. Loud and lobby isn’t open .

We had a lovely stay. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and this hotel was the best in the Addison area. My only criticism would be that breakfast vouchers should be provided for hotel guests.

The restaurant food was delicious and elegant. Kudos to the designer in charge of room furnishings. The stylish railings on the headboards were strong, secure and came in quite handy. 😉

Great stay. Front desk was very welcoming.

Breakfast was amazing although buffet was not provided which was odd considering the weekend, what we ordered alcarte was more than enough and everything tasted great. Arthur greeted us and set the tone for the stay. He was very welcoming and told us not only about the hotel facilities but offered upgrades that were available and made sure we were able to shop for great deals N/A

Room was nice. Parking was expensive and for the price of the room I booked. The room wasn't supplied with a microwave. It only had a small refrigerator and coffee maker.
- 5/5
Such a great place!

Great place. Can't wait to visit again Feel like the internet wasn't free tho. When I tried to sign in I was constantly being offered a package. I could be wrong tho. Overall, I loved the place and will definitely go back when I can

Pool was great. Nicely updated rooms Odor in the lobby. Not sure what it was but it really hits you when you first walk in the door and when you get off elevator
- 3/5
The hotel was fine - it needs some updating.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Very convenient to where we needed to be for this stay. Staff was friendly.
- 2/5
Luke warm water in the shower. WiFi is extra if you book online with your 'discounter' app. When we arrived the room was freezing. The A/C was set to 63F in the middle of January. Once upon a time, the hotel was probably beautiful and well appointed, but now it has been 'updated' with the same GRAY, BLACK, AND UGLY format. I've removed carpet from my trashed apartments that looked better. Price point is fine: It's $300/night, but it's Addison. Expect to pay more in the area. Next time I'll book a mile away at a nicer place, and pay less. PS: Staff was cordial.

The room was comfortable and clean; staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient.. The Crystal Ballroom is very nice
- 5/5
Clean room, delicious food at restaurant, great customer service, Crystal ballroom very chilly for Charles Schwab workshop.

Amazing as always when my wife and I stay at the Renaissance in Addison. It’s our go to hotel when we come to visit because of the great food, clean and spacious rooms and wonderful service. I will like to give a special shout out to Arthur from the front desk he is so kind and professional. I have been going to the hotel for years now and he knows my wife and I by name and always treats us the best. Arthur even took my in room service for me because they were busy that night to make sure I got my food before it closed. I appreciate Arthur and the whole staff! Thank you!

Rooms are clean and large This is an event hotel and air line lay over hotel The coffee shop is fair to good There are no vending machines on sight Lots of restaurants within walking distance The gym is ok and pool ok No valee parking and limited bell hop

Smelled like plumbing issues, drainage issues shower was making loud noises at night, no bellhop, rooms average, hallways and doors are not in good condition. My door kept getting stuck and would not close all the way .Tried the bar once and service was not good. Would not recommend try the one in Plano
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very friendly and professional it was close to a lot of food options as well!
- 5/5
Made us feel very welcomed
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 3/5
The main lobby, the restaurant, the bar area, all very nice. The room, nice and comfortable to be in. But... the bed was to firm for my taste, the pillows are down so no head support, very uncomfortable. The shower was clean but the water pressure was very poor. I would come here again, but I have to say all the main floor/lobby/bar area smelled musty. Like they have a mold problem that they can't find? I would give it a higher rating if they could get rid of the moldy part.
- 5/5
Hotel was beautiful, clean and staff was above and beyond excellent
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
bathroom sink drain and shower drain were not working properly
- 5/5
Great service as soon as we walked through the door. Great ambiance and really clean. Will be my go to whenever I’m in town.
- 5/5
Top notch everything.
- 4/5
Our only complaint was the pool was under construction
- 2/5
Booked to have a four star hotel with pool and spa. What a disappointment. Due to renovations no pool or spa. No valet. No bellman. Room mediocre. Hallways ugly and unappealing. Parking is miserable. . Lobby great but will never book again. Front desk not helpful when a package was left for us. Again. Do not set at here.
- 4/5
Big ok hotel. Location not great but room was very nice with coffee refrigerator and decent view.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel at a great price definitely will stay again
- 1/5
Hotel pool is under construction and after check in we found out. Our grandson was devastated. No hot water. No valet parking. Under ground parking has water puddles everywhere
- 1/5
My reservation was during a city-wide power outage and Expedia and the Renaissance Hotel both accepted my reservation and payment when they knew they had no air conditioning (and cable but that would be OK). When we arrived and learned of the problem, the front desk person cancelled the reservation and said I was to tell Expedia what happened and The Renaissance would advise Expedia to refund the payment. Now neither party will refund my money. This seems to be a case of deceptive business practices.
- 5/5
Very nice an peaceful
- 1/5
No power at the hotel.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, great area.
- 5/5
Staff were so friendly, I thought I saw breakfast and shuttle on my booking only to find out none was available.
- 5/5
The bed slept well
- 5/5
This hotel has been around a very long time. But I can assure you, they’ve maintained the Renaissance elegance at this property and in the rooms. Love this hotel.
- 5/5
It’s a good quite place to take a break and relax from the daily routine. I recommend the SPA services.
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
I liked how big and clean the property was. easy check in. The only thing i did not like the A/C did not really blast any cold air.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 4/5
I liked that the check in was easy. The employees at the front were helpful and friendly. It has a beautiful lobby and the room was spacious and clean. Only thing I didn’t like was that you have to pay for WiFi and parking. Also, it was pretty noisy around 10pm. Overall, my experience was alright. For the price they charge per night, I would probably not be back.
- 5/5
Nice hotel and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Thank you for a great weekend
- 5/5
Excellent accommodations, convenient location.
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and helpful during check in. Hotel is very nice inside and in a convenient location. Room was very nice.
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly here and the room was nice, updated and clean! The walls are super thin though so I could hear every step, bathroom trip , shower that the people around me took. Other than that, it was really really nice and I really enjoyed my stay!
- 2/5
I enjoyed staying here back in July and that is why I wanted to stay here again. I booked and prepaid for a king bed. When I arrived at checkin I was told that all the king size beds had been booked. We were given 2 queen or double beds. Nobody spoke to me or apologized for this mistake. I didn’t have time to find another hotel because we had plans to be somewhere by a certain time.
- 5/5
Outstanding service and impeccable icleanlyness
- 4/5
Hotel was nice. Great restaurant/bar. Room was nice. Television channels weren't great. Limited number of channels but the ones they did have, not all worked.
- 5/5
We had a great experience staying here for the fair. We were a little late on check out and they worked with us. It was only 20 minutes from downtown!
- 3/5
We went for a business convention. Room was very clean. Beds were super comfortable. However, we did not get coffee replenished or toilet paper when the house keepers cleaned the room. I am very thankful it was close to surrounding restaurants because the food was entirely overpriced and a ridiculously long wait.
- 3/5
Stay at the renaissance in Frisco. Its only 10 min away but a whole lot nicer. This hotel is dated. On the plus side, the massage we received at the spa was incredible. Highly reccomend.
- 5/5
Hotel was centrally located with easy highway access. Lots of really great restaurants around the hotel. Appreciate they hosted the OU/Texas Red River Rivalry Pep Rally! So much fun.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
A couple of issues : (1) The shower curtains in the bath tub are not adequate and the water comes out to the floor. (2) The Breakfast is not buffet style. It is a-la-carte and you can only have 1 dish from the menu and a coffee. This should have been specified on the website.
- 5/5
You can stay there and not have to go anywhere.
- 3/5
The shower drain was blocked and it was unblocked after I complained. How was it possible not to notice it when cleaning the shower enclosure?
- 2/5
I HATED the fact that the BR floor was horribly HOT! Despite knowing the TAC was holding a GALA on Saturday night, with 400 people attending in formal wear, it was incredibly hot in the ballroom. The Proverb white wine tasted like pickle juice. The stores were not open, no manicurist or hair salon on site.
- 5/5
A/C seemed too iffy. Room was Freezing at entry, but hot while sleeping. BR was hot
- 2/5
Cons: Does anyone answer the phone here? Called numerous times/dates - took 3-4 days for someone to answer. No hot water in any of the multiple rooms we booked (on different floors). Called several times, hotel staff was indifferent ("we're trying to work on it" "we should have it fixed by morning"). Rooms were NOISY. Could easily hear people talking through walls, water running in bathrooms, etc.. When doors on adjacent rooms closed, your entire room will feel it. Parking controls were broken - gates were either fully open or locked closed. Still had to pay for parking, and then when we checked out, we were charged an extra $15 for parking even though the rooms had the parking fee. Called to resolve; couldn't get a straight answer. Later discovered the hotel charged us for the next person's stay in one of our rooms due to a clerical error. Took several phone calls to resolve it; again they were completely indifferent about the error and mostly confused as to why we called. I fully expect a canned response with an apology and how this will be reported to staff and blah blah blah. It's all lip service. In the end, this hotel doesn't seem to be run very well and definitely isn't up to the standards that the Renaissance chain used to have.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful. Jermaine at the front desk was great. I wish there was a way to get drinks and snacks after hours outside of the fancy restaurant, but it’s understandable. Clean room, great view, comfy bed. Remote didn’t work for one tv but there are two.
- 3/5
This property did not have valet, parking was limited and no shuttle.
- 5/5
Everything was pretty good despite the fact that the person who helped with check in didn’t explain anything at all. We had to go back to the front to figure out about parking and that it would be charged at the end when we check out, nor did he explain what time check out was or where the pool was at but all in all everything else was great.
- 5/5
Kind front desk lady
- 3/5
The lobby was beautiful but there was a smell of gas. The bathroom shower area wasnt as clean as it could have been. Overall OK but not qorth the price per night.
- 3/5
we were not able to ckeck in till later in the night because our room was not available and didnt have enough pillows or blankets. when asked about any accommodations due to late check in and lack of pillows all they said was that they couldnt do anything because we booked our room through online or hotels.com
- 5/5
The room is clean and spacious.
- 2/5
1)lighting in the rooms - very dull 2) phone in room was broken and was not repaired after mentioning to front desk 3) escalator was often broken 4) staffing in restaurant and lounge extremely inadequate for the size of conference - surely they know a 1,000 people are coming in advance 5) restaurants around did not know there was a conference and they were understaffed as well 6) staff were friendly and helpful but understaffed
- 5/5
I was very much enjoyed to stayed in the hotel.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Not sure the price tag was worth the stay but it was overall a good experience.
- 5/5
Beautiful friendly costumer service
- 5/5
Awesome hotel , very clean and nice facilities .Big room and comfortable bed .
- 1/5
they refused to let us check in due to someone with us being 19, even after we tried to rebook they still refused to check us in. it took 2 hours and we still did not get a room, we were forced to go somewhere else. extremely unhappy with my service here over the past weekend. i typically stay here at this hotel everytime i visit dallas, this time left a terrible taste in my mouth and i’m very disappointed. i also still have not received my refunds.
- 5/5
Great check in experience in an older yet well renovated and maintained property. Parking was a bit of a challenge for our late arrival, but after we checked and were told to park in spots marked for "valet" everything went well!
- 3/5
The communication and customer service aspect felt lacking. My air conditioner rattled in an unusual and distracting way, so I spoke with the front after my first night to request it be looked at. They were apologetic and assured me it would be checked out. No one followed up with me and the air conditioner noise continued (I have not had this issue at any other hotel ever). Additionally, the staff was less than helpful when the internet TV wasn't working properly and I inquired as to if they had any reports of issues or suggestions to resolve. I checked out early due to a mediocre experience for above average cost.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious and comfortable.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Silly things were wrong. I didn't like the bathrooms, the doors didn't seal and there wasn't a fan. Staff was amazing, but there wasn't enough of them. Make sure you hit the taco shop across the street it's amazing.
- 2/5
2) Very few stations available on the TV 3) Extra $15 charge for parking is offensive and greedy 4) The door between the coffee station and bathroom is bothersome 5) The ice machine was unclean 6) Only one washcloth in the room
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Within an hour my boutique in Longview called and said that Sabrina Crown called to tell me she had taken care of it with Expedia and I would be receiving a full refund for the second night. I looked at my emails and already had received a confirmation of the refund from Hotels.com!. Amazing customer service. Amazing hotel. All staff, across the entire hotel are great because they have such wonderful, caring, and helpful people like Sabrina Crown leading them!
- 5/5
Staff were helpful with my questions and the room was very quiet at night to get a good sound sleep.
- 5/5
Amazing place. One of the best hotels I've stayed in
- 4/5
Everything was good, but I really wish they would clean the room even during your stay.
