Holiday Inn & Suites Dallas-Addison by IHG

There was no elevators working. Placed me in a handicap room with no electrical plugs in bathroom to blow dry hair plus the shower did not work. As the staff was exceptional he did mention when using 3rd party to book they didnt show the elevators would be inoperable during my staff.

The room we were staying in was dirty. The hallway was very humid and smelled like mold. There were various stains on the couch, the lamp, and mold growing near the bathtub. There was mildew on the shower head. There were questionable stains on the mirror as well. It wasn’t very clean, and compared to other Holiday Inns — this one was not the best one that I’ve stayed in.

Staff was friendly. Check-in was a fairly smooth process. The complementary water bottles were nice. The room we were staying in was dirty. The hallway was very humid and smelled like mold. A/C unit sounded like it was going to explode and didn’t cool very well. The mattress was very bad, could feel every coil and spring in it. Parked on back side of hotel and although the light would go green with my card the door would not work. Front desk said it had been not working

Location was convenient. Water in shower never got hot, stayed like warm at most. Smelled really bad by lobby, like sewer. Every day we were there. & there was a roach crawling on the wall our first night staying. That was the only one we saw, but one is one too many for us.

The location and outside upkeep of the property was nice I didn’t like that the elevators the floors are buckled and raggedy. The rooms had a smell, my room wasn’t cleaned properly and the pull out sofa bed was broken the mattress was dirty. The mirror was dirty in the room and had lip prints all over it. There was a bar of used soap in the bathroom

Nice hotel and love the area that the hotel was located. The rooms are large . The only issue my husband and Ihad was the elevator going out . The elevator was repaired but make sure matienance kept up.

Tried calling front desk with room Phone no answer. Called the regular number on my cell no one answered The room phone was unplugged when we got there And missing Pieces off the phone Bathroom had some kind of hair or something on the floor It was good for the price I paid I’ve stayed at other hotels in close proximity but ever this one.

The air conditioner was not working so switched my room. The couch had tears in and dirty didn’t want to sit on it. Took 2 minutes for hot water to get warm. Door from parking lot didn’t work. They didn’t have enough staff. Not a good stay.

All the staff that was seen were friendly and approachable. The room was clean and served it's purpose for our stay.

It is a little run down. Room was okay, stains on carpet and sheets. Seemed clean, but not appealing.

Overall feel of the hotel was dank and musty, not very clean. I filtered by free breakfasts and booked this based on that. So orbitz let me fown on that. The gym equipment was not well kept. Will not be staying again.

Room was not cleaned. Glass cleaner marks on the mirror and the bathroom counter had gunk on it still. No WiFi working either

We had to switch the room three times because it was dirty, the cable tv never worked, when asked about the tv not working, they knew for a fact that their cable tv doesn’t work at all in the hotel , but they didn’t offer a solution either , the sofas in the room were really nasty and dirty, the fridge wasn’t working also. Breakfast wasn’t good either, plus you have to pay extra for it. I do not recommend this place to anybody.

The lobby was so welcoming and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was nothing short of amazing. The room was very big and comfortable, as well as clean. Would definitely recommend

Housekeeping of my was substandard and lacked attention to detail. House keeping was very late, linen supply inadequate, phone in room not working, but no notice( safety concern). Carpets and in room couch needs replacing due to extreme wearing. Maintenance did not return to replace the smoke detector back-up battery( battery compartment left open) Not impressed.

Parking was good.

Terrible front desk demeanor and service. Hot water issue in sink for 2 days. Changed the room. This property has a lot of issues. Will never book here again

We checked in around 9 pm. Our shower had bugs in it, the shower pressure was awful, the air quit working mid night. The overall hotel was musty and had an overwhelming smell of paint fumes on the second floor. We definitely won't be back.

Unfortunately elevator was out. They did call to inform me but I was already on the road and couldn't make other plans. It was good they gave me a complimentary breakfast.

Elevators were broken and we were told they were expecting it to be fixed the next day. That wasn't true. They didn't seem interested at all in fixing anything.

Tub did not drain. Room was clean but outdated, especially the carpet. The TV was horrible, only local channels and I couldnt even access my apps. The elevator went down during my stay making my check out more difficult then i would have liked.

Easy check in and the room was great. But all ice machines were broken, water fountains weren't turned on, and none of the machines in the gym worked.

When I arrived, multiple things were broken and DIRTY. Hair all in my bed, BBQ sauce or sone type of sticky brown sauce on counters and curtains, sofa bed was broken and disfunctional, ironing board broken, 2 light switches didn’t work, bathroom counter had some sticky substances on it. I called multiple time for room service, “phones were down” according to lady I spoke with the next morning. I took pictures & requested new sheets since ours were obviously from the last visitor, we were told by 4 different people that they would come and replace them. Friday - Monday they never touched them!!! We got back and the counters were still dirty, same sheets, nothing replaced or fixed, we had to get extra towels from the front desk and clean ourselves. Sad part?? As much as we complained & informed them of what was going on, all they kept saying was “we understand ma’am, we’ll fix it” and NEVER DID A THING. 0/5 stars if I could!!

Good location and clean. The front desk staff is sloppy! The morning front desk manager is angry and treats you like a criminal for using yhe amenities and lobby.

Probably will not stay here again. No towels to dry off after getting out of the shower had to use hand towels. House keeping started knocking on the door almost 2 hrs before checkout, and hr later house keeping came in the room while iwas getting ready. Would not recommend if you want your privacy in the morning and not want to be rushed out of your room hrs before checkout time.

Room was fine, amenities/service were non-existent. Breakfast offering was one overwhelmed (but also unhurried) dude taking one food order at a time and then cooking each himself. Ridiculous, we didn't wait around for it - suspected the food would be as bad as the coffee anyways. Elevator lurched and double-bounced in a disconcerting manner at every floor stop. We were just glad to leave.

Upon arrival of the hotel me and my family noticed an unwelcoming pungent smell throughout whether it was in the elevator or the room itself.

Old carpets, no bags on trash bins, breakfast has to be requested beforehand; if you’re traveling for work be prepared to have a long wait before your breakfast is brought, not worth to pre pay breakfast.

Room was worn out, had to change rooms twice. Was told they were could not change rooms again, so we were stuck with mold in the bathroom, broken shower, noisy HVAC, elevator has issues with stopping at floors and had been that way for years, dirty towels, trim missing from bathroom door frame, provided toiletries were previously used, telephone didn't work, TV wouldn't connect. When we reported the issues, we were told that we would have to leave a bad review because management doesn't fix anything when the staff reports it! Go elsewhere

First of all, this hotel should NOT be offered as an option on Hotels.com due to extremely false advertising! We had 5, yes 5 dirty & used towels that hadn’t been removed from the bathroom prior to arriving. So incredibly disgusting! I hope whoever claimed to clean this room has been fired! Secondly, please remove the pics down of bar/dinner, hot breakfast! As soon as we walked in we noticed the dark dining room which is completely closed now with empty shelves! Extremely dissapointed! Do better!

Clean, Neat, Great location. 20 min from DFW, 20 min from museum district. Lots of fun restaurants near by.

Some of my towels were dirty and the room also had a bug in it. They switched my room and the second room was much better than the first.

The walls were dirty, hair in the bathtub on the walls, hair on the mirror. There was an altercation outside our window, I believe the police were called. The neighbors were screaming at eachother. We were so exhausted we just delt with it.

It probably is not a fancy place to stay, but the rooms are clean, the staff is super friendly, and it is in an excellent location.

I like everything about this place. There really is nothing bad but I guess if i have to say anything its that the phones are down because they are being replaced. But other than that, its a great location. Easy to get to. There are things to do around the hotel. Easy parking. The people like Reshard are great. I needed pilows and he got them delivered for me. Average at best. Front desk clerk not inviting. No A/C in hallways. Saturday-Monday. Entering room was stale smell. Never stayed at Holiday INN and not be satisfied Should have stay up street at Courtyard by Marriott. Walls/Carpet Need a Very Good cleaning. Sunday morning as leaving some woman tried to enter as we were exiting. Myself/Daughter w/ granddaughter (coming to pick me up)whom is now scared and sheltering behind me. We both simultaneously “Excuse me” to her “What you doing in here, this my room I’m paid to today.” I’m shown a msg thread with $50 apply pay good till Sunday. Frustrated by the back forth and making sure my daughter doesn’t go GI Jane because it was going there fast. Let’s go to this front desk since whoever you’re msg/call on speaker phone (using profanity) the district manager since the phones to the room don’t work. To be told it was global issue but you are good till Monday check out looking at me, turning to the lady “I’m getting with housekeeping to see where your things are. Something was not right about this whole interaction. Do Not believe we will be back to this one.

The staff was nice I was disappointed with the no available restaurant and bar that is advertised. Breakfast is by menu only. I thought $10.50 for a breakfast sandwich that was cold was outrageous only tried the food once on our five day stay.

Found several bugs in my room. Some dead, some alive. Hallways had a funky smell. Bed was comfortable and staff were friendly though. Location was convenient.

My card was charged an xtra $40 and i. Not sure why when my total was 157.07 but was charged 197.07 also everything was ok except elevator was scary did alot of jerking and was very slow and had to wait every time at least 3 mins or so for it to open

Worn carpets, low income apartment feel, no towels, broken water tub stopper, bad paint job, wrestlemania noise above us and we are stuck here with no movement to other rooms!!!! Not happy about this stay and I’m surprised this has happened. I never had any issues at holiday inns!!!! Not happy

This hotel is clean, friendly with a great central location to a lot in this area. We stay here on regular basis.

Just an overnight with friends after being downtown Dallas over the weekend for a wedding. It was close to our wedding hosts home. It was basic but a very reasonable price. Complimentary breakfast good—one of if not the best for this price hotel. And were very accommodating when I realized I had booked the wrong hotel (Holiday Inn one mile away) and that got canceled and we were able to book this one with our friends.

Management was absolutely amazing. I had to stay here because I lost power from bad weather. Rashad was exceptionally amazing because he was able to accommodate me with all of my requests. He even explained that they are aware of the power situation and are willing to work with guests. Great customer service!

Experience on a 2 night stay, it seemed very nice and clean. Once past the restrooms you get slapped in the face with the smell of smoke everywhere. The rest of the hotel is not up to par for one to say it’s a nice getaway from home, once we got to our room it did have an odd smell, sheets of the bed looked clean how ever did have a hint of smoke smell. We did ask for sheets to the pull out sofa 3 times, one of those times we were told to go get them due to short staff. Last day while getting everything together to leave we noticed the smoke detector did not have a battery in, glad there was no fires this weekend, also phone to the room did not work, glad we didn’t need to really use it other than to call for sheets, but we were able to get the number from google & call to the front desk, horrible experience for Graduation weekend. Do Not Recommend Staying At this Holiday Inn, because on top of all this we got charged $110 extra our last day of check out with no explanation

Easy to get to property, Friendly Check in, clean property. On the way to the room, the elevator scares me, going up, it lurches and drops before the door opens at your floor. In the room, comfy bed, but the AC unit sounds like a constantly running train wreck. Nice facility, could just use some maintenance.

No free breakfast, staff seemed indifferent about service

Our stay was good, until Saturday night when a group of people were allowed in pool, they were very loud having a good time, but it was 2:30am. Needless to say we didn’t have a good night rest before heading back home.

Beds are very comfortable, we had the king suite with the pull out sofa, there was no spare bedding for the sofa bed so had to go downstairs and ask for it. Room was clean, hotel is in a great area, lots of restaurants and close to Galleria. Overall hotel was nice and clean. Will stay again!

This property is not suitable for holiday inn. Really terrible smell and it’s not welcoming. It’s real nasty smell all over the place. Rooms smell horrible

This is a nice quiet property tucked into a nice neighborhood. The elevator needed service. It hopped when it stopped which was unnerving.

Hotels.com allowed me to book a room for the night of September 2nd as well as charge me that night for 126.55 even though the receptionist said they had no rooms available and would be canceling the reservation. My bank statement reflects being fully charged for a “stay” at the Holiday Inn & Suites Dallas-Addison. I need my 126.55$ back that was at this point stolen from me for a reservation the receptionist decided to cancel due to be being “fully booked” even though hotels.com let me get a reservation

The television was impossible to find local stations-no impossible to find.

Many problems. A mangled food order. Musty smell through many parts of the building. A toilet that flushed reluctantly. Waste basket too small. Not a happy experience.

There were crickets in the room and hallway. The window AC was blowing straight at the beds so it was not very comfortable.

Nothing really stood out it was just an average hotel

We spent the night on June 10th. We were offered wings, burgers, chicken strips, we bought food from there and their food was delicious.

Location is good, except road construction around the property makes it hard to navigate around.

The staff was very friendly. The property is very outdated. There are bugs near the refrigerator. I left after one night. I won't return.
