Our only dislike was that it was a longer walk than it sounded online. It wouldn't have been an issue for adults, but our two children weren't thrilled. No problem at all if you're comfortable riding your own motorbike. The distance wouldn't stop us from returning to this property.

I really loved my stay! I felt taken care of the entire time and the staff were all so happy and polite and ready to help me. Breakfast every morning was delicious. There is a whatsapp number where you're connected to all the staff and they're very quick to respond and they were great at coordinating things a bit differently on mornings where I had to leave early. The main centre of Ubud is about a 20 minute walk past some rice fields and only accessible via scooter or walking. The staff were so great at picking me up via scooter to bring me to and from downtown - it made it so convenient and I was so grateful. Wifi worked well though I wasn't traveling for work so used it very little. At night I could see fireflies in the backyard and it was magical. Used the pool and loved it. Rice fields in the area are very nice - great location.

I had the best stay at Solo Villas and Retreat in Ubud! ? The place is peaceful, surrounded by rice fields, and feels like a hidden oasis. The staff were so kind and attentive, always making me feel at home. My villa was spacious, clean, and had the perfect balance of comfort and Balinese charm. The bike ride to the villa makes the experience even more fun. Couldn’t have asked for a better Ubud experience — highly recommend!

Old furniture. As the villa is surrounded by rice fields, we found some bugs and lizards in the room. The cleaning of the bathroom should be improved.

The staff is one of the best in Bali, location is super nice, near the rice fields, breakfast is good, flower bath is great The pool is small

Friendly staff, always helpful and smiling. Pool was great, clean. Breakfast delivered to room is nice, food was ok for price you paying. Beautiful located surrounded by lush green and trail walks.. The room was great, the outlook was a bit bleak… especially comparing to photos on the site.. we didn’t get to sit outside as huge ants were constantly over everything ( table, chairs) The outer perimeter especially around the Kings room could be better, a lot of weeds, shrubs, couldn’t see rice fields

Loved the location. It was tucked back in the rice fields away from the craziness of Ubud. Rooms were large and so clean! Bed was comfortable. Room came with a safe and a small desk which was nice for my husband who had to work. Nothing!

Th property is in the middle of rice fields and a quite area just about 10 minutes walk from Ubud. The facilities were amazing and staff are super friendly to help you with any travel advice. They offer a 24 hour pick up service from a bike from town which I definitely used when it was raining. Also, they offered floating breakfast which I loved Everything was great.

The staff were amazing. I was staying alone and they made me feel so comfortable, safe and welcome. I took full advantage of the motorbike service to the end of the road as I didn't want to walk at night alone. This was really appreciated. The pool is lovely, breakfast delicious and the room really clean. Comfy bed.

I loved the scooter rides. Two of us, in our 70s had no problems at all if that's holding you back Lovely pool and it's shared with other rooms.

I recently stayed at Solo Villas in Ubud, and it was a wonderful experience! Nestled in the rice fields, the location offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The service was exceptional; the staff was very attentive and went out of their way to ensure comfort. The breakfast was delicious. Since the hotel is accessible only via a small path, they offer a convenient motorbike service to take you to a nearby meeting point in the city. Once you're done with your activities, just send them a message, and they’ll pick you up and bring you back to the hotel. Our room had a stunning view of the rice fields, and the bathroom was spacious and modern. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The room was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ubud and needing a unique and quiet place to stay.

Beautiful location, air conditioning was more than sufficient, bathroom was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful I didn’t realise that the property is only accessible on foot or via scooter, but it’s located right in the middle of the stunning rice fields so I should have anticipated that there is no car access. Staff offer transport to and from the villa by scooter so this really wasn’t a big issue

It was beautiful set in fields, with fireflies dancing very night. Breakfast was delicious It did not look out onto rice fields, it was a grassy field. Allegedly the bike service into Ubud is 24 hours, but when I needed to go at 6am no one answered which meant I had to walk 15 minutes the pouring rain and almost missed my pickup for the days tour. Initially they apologised via WhatsApp but the comment was then deleted which is just weird. The villa leaked water when it rained, large gap under the sliding patio door meant insects came in and there was no door on the icebox which meant water leaked most days. No hot water during my stay. Was unable to pay be final bill by card (even though I had been reassured this was possible) which meant I was very short on cash for the remainder of the day as I wasn’t close to an ATM

The property is located in an amazing area surrounded by Ricefield. The staff are very helpful and give you free scooter pick up from a point in town. The room was beautiful spacious and very clean as well. The breakfast was quite nice.

The courteous and extremely helpful staff, Rice field view outside the hotel, the breakfast, shuttle service by scooters to/from Ubud perking and to/from Ubud Starbucks. Insects but that's not hotel's fault. You would expect that in warm humid atmosphere. No exhaust in the bathroom so it remained steamy for a while.
