had to walk up and down every day more than once, would be good idea for the hotel to arrange bikes to drop to the main street.

The breakfast was wonderful. We were happy with the breakfast selection as there was a large variety to choose from as well as the complimentary fruit and juice options. It was also very convenient to use the laundry service at the resort. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. They brought our luggage from the road to the Village and back to the road at the end of our stay. Since there’s no kitchen in each villa, we were able to store our cold food in their kitchen and they were kind enough to open coconuts for us that we got from our local friends. We are sad that we didn’t have enough time to use sauna, pool and the massage service. Unfortunately because of our busy schedule we didn’t have the time. I have nothing negative to say about the Dragonfly Village.

This was our second stay at Dragonfly Village as a family of six, and once again, it was an exceptional experience. The location strikes the perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility – just a 15-minute walk from Ubud’s buzzing city center, yet tucked away enough to feel like a private escape. Along the scenic pathway, you’ll find charming restaurants, small cafes, massage and yoga centers, and local shops that add to the authenticity of the experience. The accommodations are simple yet spacious, blending traditional Balinese style with comfort. Our two teenage daughters and 10-year-old twin boys had ample space to relax, and the tranquil surroundings made for a perfect family retreat. The resort is beautifully maintained, with a pool and a herbal sauna that provided a refreshing way to unwind after exploring the area. What truly sets Dragonfly Village apart is its commitment to sustainability. The vegan-only menu was a highlight of our stay, offering fresh, delicious meals that even our kids couldn’t get enough of—breakfast quickly became their favorite! The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch to the entire experience. Overall, we highly recommend Dragonfly Village for families looking for a unique, serene, and eco-conscious stay in Ubud. We can’t wait to return! Thank you

    Very good

Everything was excellent for someone who wants to get away and relax unfortunately my cousin and I were celebrating her birthday wanted a bit more social atmosphere! The motor bike drivers were friendly and caring drivers. Breakfast was good. Imro on reception was very very good and helped me change my dates and refund. Thank you imro ? The website should have emphasised that there was no alcohol served in the restaurant and no fridge in the room.

Cozy wooden houses nestled in a beautiful garden, delicious food, and an amazing sauna.

Deffo worth it to stay here when you are in Ubud Nothing

The bug netting was not great, the distance from the main road was significant, and there was a yoga event next to our room that woke us up at 7am every day. I would return, even with these issues in mind.

Breakfast was good - full of fruit options. Dinner was also spot on. Hadn't realised it was vegetarian hotel which didn't bother me but came as a surprise to my wife :). Food was great as a result. Staff were amazing - really friendly. Used laundry service which was excellent as well. Hadn't realised it is a 700m walk to the hotel from the road (my fault for not seeing this detail). There is a track from road to hotel (and beyond) and the hotel send bikes down to collect your luggage but this track can get quite busy with bikes (you can't hear from hotel). Daughter didn't like that there were no fizzy drinks available, but I was quite glad - just saying - be aware.

Staff and service were amazing, nice pool and sauna. Great breakfast.

It's a beautiful place with beautifully kind people. The garden is beautiful. The bungalow room is magnificent. It's like being in an adventure film, the sauna experience is sublime. The location of the establishment away from the hustle and bustle of the city is wonderful because you pass trough the rice paddies, and that alone is worth the diversions if I ever go back and if i'm lucky enough to get a return visit, I'll be sure to return. nothing

An eco-lodge indeed (can confirm the gecko roommates and cat at breakfast, but it was not an issue for me.) It had beautiful streams and gardens around. Rustic huts with enchanting deck looking into small green area, with a restaurant area overlooking the fields. A real Bali experience. The staff was super kind, they helped me a lot during my stay. For example, I had booked an early tour and they prepared a breakfast box to take away with me; they also arranged the transport of my bags from the pick-up point (you can only access it walking or with scooter) and got me a taxi for my next travel stop; when the light of the bathroom was failing, they took care of it immediately and remembered to replace the mosquito repellent liquid/purified water jug in the room when they were running low. Those little things matter. The area is great, as you are next to a well walked rice field path, with plenty of cafés/warungs and artisan stands, as well as yoga studios (Ubud yoga is one of the best in Ubud, and it's walking distance from there!) The rice fields are a dream, a real privilege to have them so close by. A super great feature is the small sauna (more like a hammam, really) and the salt water pool, which is free for guests. I only used it once, but it was amazing. They provide towels and tea/water and a fire to sit around. Even if it's small, people rotate normally, so it's fine. For me it was one of the highlights of the stay. Minor things: Geckos and their droppings are normal in Ubud, so make sure you take a good look at the floor and clean them accordingly (as it is an eco-lodge, there is no mosquito repellent plugs to keep them functioning during your stay, so they come and feast on them while you are out; hence, the post-meal droppings.) The room was too dark for my taste, but it was the colour of the wood, so that's that. The breakfast included in the room rate could improve, as it is a bit basic (but still tasty, you just get hungry quickly if you only take the included options.) The street to access the rice path that leads to the eco-lodge was a big downer for me since it is usually very dark at night and filled with garbage and garbage bags. Not super welcoming for tourists, as you have to see it anytime you go into town. Not an issue the eco-lodge can fix, but just a general heads-up so you are prepared.

Beautiful garden , lovely people , delicious food It is a 12 minute walk down a narrow path through paddy fields which is five if you are on a motorbike but on foot you are dodging motorbikes

  • Engine customer Dec 2024

Insects and mosquitoes in the room, though inevitable concerning it locates in such a natural environment. And the light in the bathroom is faint so I have to take showers in the morning.

The accommodation is very cosy and invites you to completely slow down. It's a long time ago I have been sleeping soo well. The bed is cozy and the silence, except the wonderful noise of the nature, is incredible. The Staff is super friendly and supports you with everything you need!!! I got Umbrella, Sarong to borrow,...a very short notice pick up from town..... wonderful Service!!! Food is amazing, even as "non-vegetarian" I enjoyed the tasty food so much! Location is great, just a couple of minutes walk and you are in the busy centre of Ubud. Nothing to complain at ALL!

Quiet location, surrounded by rice fields and nature, outside the city centre. The garden is a beautiful and unique building. It's better to know in advance that the road is narrow and you can't get there by car. They can carry your suitcases on a scooter, but it takes about 15 minutes to walk there. I made a mistake with the number of people when I made the reservation, and I contacted them right away, but I was not happy that I had to pay an additional person, about 20 AUD. If I had made a reservation for two people, the difference would have been about 5 AUD. Also, the key to the room we were given was for another room, which was fine because we checked it before going out, but if we had returned after 9 o'clock when there were no staff, we would have had to spend the whole night outside. Also, the water dispenser in the room was broken and didn't work. The staff responded immediately, apologized, and gave us a complimentary gelato the next morning as an apology, but overall our stay was not what we expected, and the professional service was not worth the price, which was disappointing.

Location (close to Centre, but in peaceful location) , staff (nice and welcoming) , nice breakfast, interior is 10/10, nature all around Loud and annoying yoga Centre right next to our room which is the closest to it. While massage (which was inside this yoga center) it also interrupted my mood significantly! Apart from it everything was perfect!

Dragonly Village way exceeded my expectations, as well as those of my kids aged 10 and 12. It's one of the most beautiful places I have every stayed in, the whole resort was stunning! The staff went above and beyond to help us, the food was exceptional and the steam sauna and night swimming the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back! Nothing!
