Ubud Shanti Rice Field House By Supala

The hotel is located in a place which is very difficult to reach. No signs to direct guests.. Accessible for scooters only, Very narrow alley, very difficult to get there. The facilities are old. The mattress is extremely tough.

I’ve stayed in 3 different home stays now and feel like I can give a more accurate review now. This home stay was far and away the best of the 3. They provided me with 2 towels that were not stiff from being air dried. They provided coffee and tea and kettle in my room. My room on top floor was very large and had big windows for great lighting. The toilet is closer to the bathroom door and so you don’t have to walk through leftover standing shower water to go to the toilet. The owner/manager was never nosy or in my business or trying to sell me a tour. Available and promptly answered all my questions via WhatsApp. I never heard any of the other guests. The AC worked great! WiFi worked great! The walk to the main road was longer than my other home stays but it’s got beautiful views of rice fields along the walk so it’s worth it to be further away from a busy main road. This home stay even has a nice pool unlike many others. The views from the top floor rooms are relatively nice for this price point. Nothing.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. It was located on an adorable pathway through the rice fields right outside the city. Great location. The pathway had shops, restaurants and other places to stay along the way. Grounds were nice but could have been more manicured. You cannot get to this place by a main road but they met us and helped us transport our luggage so no problem.

Everything was just perfect, great value for money. We couldn't stay longer

Loved everything , from the moment we arrived until the end of our stay. We arrived late at night, we were welcomed like family , the room was fabulous, super clean , toiletries provided, AC and fan worked well . Bed was very comfortable and bathroom more than adequate . Breakfast was beautiful and delicious , choices including Indonesian, Balinese and English . Plus fresh coconut juice served in the coconut and fruit platters . But the most outstanding factor are the staff, genuine, professional and always smiling , made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble . We arrived with super heavy suitcases and we were assisted immediately . The property is five minutes walk from the main road ,so assistance is offered as standard especially if you have heavy luggage/ any disability , you will be whisked up to your little bit of paradise by scooter , I have an ankle injury and was a little hesitant , but Alex is wonderful and made me feel so safe . We only stayed three days, in that time we took advantage of the in room massage therapy and also the market visit with cookery half day . We then went on to join a cruise, but we’re not excited to leave, this beautiful residence was very exotic and gorgeous . Thank you to the beautiful staff Candra, her dear family and Alex. There was nothing to not like , it’s fabulous.

This place is stunning. Located on a yoga path on a hill between the rice paddies, a family run hotel with expensive rooms, a beautiful garden and a pool and generous breakfasts. Add to that a personal super friendly service from the owner of the hotel, and you get the best of all worlds.

Excellent location on a quaint (but busy) path accessible only by foot or motorbike. Hotel staff are super helpful and friendly. They will meet you at the main road on scooters and take you and your bags to the hotel. You can continue on the path past the hotel and you will find beautiful rice fields with little cafes and art shops dotted along the way. Only a 10-15 walk to the main market and the heart of Ubud with loads of excellent restaurants nearby. The restaurant at the hotel has fabulous food and we ate there several times. The room was very clean, spacious and had excellent air conditioning. Staff was helpful in arranging comfortable and reliable transportation to our next location. If coming back to Ubud we would definitely stay here again. Shower pressure was a little low at times and the bed is very firm but was not uncomfortable. The path from the road to the hotel is narrow in places and can be busy at times with lots of scooters and pedestrians going back and forth but it wasn’t problem for us.

A beautiful family run hotel surrounded by nature and genuine smiles. Not a complaint but wish the property had a taxi/car parking area on the main road since the road has no parking and the hotel's two wheelers need to pick the guests and luggage for the last 500 metres.

Everything was perfect! The staff were so friendly and helpful. They helped get us from the main street on their scooters and when we left as well. The rooms were immaculate and had comfortable beds and hot showers. The porch beds were so nice to lounge on and overlooked the pool and rice fields. This place also has a restaurant which was super nice to have. It was also easy to take a Grab motorcycle directly to the property. Everything was perfect. The only area of improvement is adding more variety to the breakfast options at the restaurant, however we were grateful for having breakfast included.

The hotel is in an excellent location out of town directly so it’s quite but still easy to walk into town in 10mins. The staff were exceptional and caring, and the food was great.

Great location, quiet area, good walking trail, not big villa so not too many guests, great staff, friendly, loved the cap cay veg dish, breakfast was good. Good pool, nice area by the pool, very helpful and welcoming place. Good service, clean, would recommend for short or long stay, alone or with company. I had some difficulty with the wi fi speed which was important for me. I am not sure if it was my device though as the staff showed me 50/ down on their devices. I had an old laptop and an iphone, but struggled to get good speed for whatever reason, getting more like 15/ down. Anyway, was able to persevere.

Clean facilities. Helpful and polite stuff. Quiet location, surrounded with rice fields. It is not accessible with car, only with motorcycle, but the stuff compensates with motorcycle delivery of the luggage.

Good location and friendly staff Price was high compared other locations that were much nicer and lower price.

if you prefer to be cut off by the city madness an amazing place to stay. Next to rice fields and quiet fresh air, cool breeze. The staff is helpful and amazing. Please keep in mind that this area is cut off from any 4-wheel access and it has a narrow paved path which is very good for walking and avoiding the two-wheelers pass frequently. So if you are coming with luggage the staff will help you from the drop off point on the two-wheelers. They have a nice small pool, a clean place. For the price offered worth the stay As I want the place to be much better a few suggestions - please add a bit more variety to your amazing food by introducing local cuisine for breakfast. The food served is very tasty. As previously suggested by another traveller the bed does squeak....so pls have a check on all the beds.

Unfortunately our bed was very creaky and felt quite broken tbh, the staff apologized and said they have told the owner. So hopefully it is fixed for the next guests. A fan in the room would be good, to not use AC all the time

The family also runs a restaurant that has very good local food. If you don’t want, you don’t have to go out to eat. I’m a vegetarian and they had a quite a few things for myself. They are plenty of things to do there. They offered activities if you wanted to I had a massage in my room.
