Sadly this place is being forgotten by owners or management. From the deserted entrance on street that looks like the entrance to a detention centre to the eerie ghost town feel in the resort. We saw 1 other couple on site for the short time we spent there. We checked in and were shown to our Family lumbung room which was dark and looked like no one had stayed in it for months. We dropped our bags and went into “town” for dinner where we booked another hotel. At The Beji Ubud Resort we were turned off by the green algae and mouldy caulking in the shower and around the toilet. The pools looked slimy on the bottom but we can not confirm this as we did not go in them. Perhaps we didn’t give the place a real chance but as it was our last 2 nights on holiday we wanted to treat ourselves and not worry about washing our feet AFTER having a shower. All in all, we thought this place was going to be a bustling resort with people and staff around but all we saw was 1 couple by the pool and and 2 young men/staff (very polite mind you) at check in…ghost town otherwise.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is rundown and in need of renovation. Pictures on Booking do not represent what you will be getting. Great location though, but very rundown place. We do not recommend.

The plants and location was nice. The condition of the room it was unclean and the mattress was ripped with holes on it. The condition of the grounds was poor. The pools were not well kept.

The room need renovation The first room we entered was very old and had a water leak, with the floor completely wet. The staff was very kind and helped us switch to another room. However, because it was raining, we ended up listening to frogs croaking all night. In the middle of the night, I thought rainwater was leaking in and spent the night with the sound of dripping water, only to find out later that it was actually a burst pipe on the second floor causing water to flow down to the first floor. The environment there is great, and the staff are excellent, but the place really needs some renovation.

This is our second time staying at this resort and we love it.

The location is amazing with great views! Fresh omelettes for breakfast were good. Old sun beds that need replacing. The room we were in had an outdoor kitchenette but the kettle didn’t work. The plug sockets were hanging off the wall. The hotel is a bit out of the centre. Good 25 min walk or use grab taxi/bike

the beautiful environment around the hotel. Quiet and green from the balcony of my room in the valley. I have stayed at Beji a number of times. This time the mossy sides of the main pool worried me as it meant the pool was not properly cleaned which could become a health hazard. The room was good but the bathroom walls need a good strong clean as they looked a bit shabby. The aircon e=was erratic and there is no phone connection to reception,
