Bali Spirit Hotel & Spa

I love this place. It is in the BEST neighborhood for walking around and going to cafes and restaurants. A digital nomad's dream. The property is HUGE. 2 pools, 2 yoga shalas, on the river and amazing gardens that make you feel like you are far from the city even though you are 10 minutes away from everything. I've stayed here 4 times and will be back again. It is my home away from home. I just wish the beds were not so firm. This is old Bali, it's not modern or hip, but it has a sweet charm to it and super friendly staff. More comfortable beds and a little updating would be good.

We had a great week at the Bali Spirit Hotel. We really liked the neighborhood, it's outside the center of Ubud so it's quieter, and there are a couple of nice streets just across the main road that lead to a charming town center around a soccer field. There's a free minivan running to and from town every couple of hours, which I recommend. Absolutely don't recommend trying to walk to town - Bali sidewalks are more of a concept than something to walk on. The hotel site is great, running down the side of a valley with a river at the bottom, and the gardens are lush and tropical. Just be warned there are a lot of steps and it isn't accessible for wheelchairs. The rooms are on the older side, but they're big and the bed was massive and very comfortable. The restaurant isn't fancy but it's reasonably priced. Highly recommend Mother cafe for morning coffees (easy walk from the hotel), and Sage is an OK vegetarian place right across the road. Merlin restaurant in Ubud is fun and the food is good, but it's more expensive as far as food in Bali goes.

The property was lovely, pool was amazing, gardens were beautiful Rooms are a good size well equipped with everything that you needed Buffet style breakfast was tasty Great cappuccinos There was nothing that we disliked about the property. The location is a little way out of Ubud but we were happy to walk most days into town through the monkey forest If you struggle with stairs, there are a lot of them, to your room to the pool and the restaurant It’s not that fact that there’s a lot of stairs. It’s that they are not a standard height and some are quite difficult to walk up and down.

Fabulous place in gardens with very nice staff. The hotel feels a bit old but it only adds to pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is available 7-23 so if you don’t manage to leave the hotel for local trips you have still large menu to chose from. The estabilishment is getting old so few details are undermaintained, but overall still working well and not being a show stopper.

A large room with a very beautiful view. The hotel is in urgent need of renovation. The room was not clean, the sheets were dirty, the hairdryer barely worked, and the air conditioner was very noisy. There was no minibar. The hotel staff was not friendly or welcoming. The breakfast selection was limited, and unfortunately, the food was not enjoyable.

Beautiful and very relaxing location, staff were really friendly and the facilities were great. Pool was perfect for cooling down and onsite restaurant had a bit of everything so could suit all tastes. Short ride to main centre and small walk to the Monkey Forest. That I didn't stay longer.

For the price paid it was very comfortable. The gardens beautiful and peaceful. The staff friendly helpful and not intrusive. Restaurant good menu.For 3 star hotel good value for money! As I'm a bit older a few less steps but managed.

The staff were lovely and so helpful. We also had a beautiful view outside our window/balcony. The breakfast was very minimal.

Beautiful surroundings and excellent staff

The resort is nestled within lush, meticulously landscaped gardens. Morning awakenings are enhanced by the sounds of birdsong and breathtaking natural vistas, creating an unforgettable and relaxing experience. While the property is a distance from central Ubud, the Ubud market, and the Monkey Forest, convenient complimentary shuttle service mitigates any inconvenience. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The shower water pressure is inadequate, and the restaurant's food quality and taste are subpar.
