Loved the Ananda. Stunning setting, immaculate room, super attentive staff. Can’t wait to go back!

It was beautiful. So well manicured. Felt like we were in a rain forest not a city. We loved everything.

agak sedikit lebih jauh dr receptionis but overall all was amazing place to stay being far away to frontdesk. but staff still help you out and in.

    Absolutely stunningly beautiful. Absolutely nothing.

The place was great, I loved most everything about it. The location is perfect and access the the main road, plus the rice fields is totally a bonus. I would rate it higher it's just the the bar in Ubud, and this area too, is so high. I loved it, but I also loved some of the neighboring properties more and some were cheaper.

Location is amazing. It's very beautiful property and having 3 swimming pools and rice fields and yoga shala and bridge and fish Breakfast at Restaurant. We have to go to other restaurants for breakfast.

I was totally surprised, the property is well kept, clean, wonderful on the eyes, centrally located, wonderful breakfast, and the staff were all superb. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The location was great. The breakfast was very sub par. The hotel is old and showing it’s age and facilities were limited. The AC in the room was barely adequate and the cleaning of the room was inconsistent.

Choice of vegan option for breakfast

Everything was amazing in this hotel, very quiet with all the comforts catered for. The views of the rice field, excellent service by staff, the beautiful restaurant overlooking the lotus pond, contemplative walks around the rice fields, leading to the yoga hut... I didn't want to even leave to venture out. It was so relaxing, thank you Ananda. Nothing.

I’m staying at this hotel for the second time, and I love it just as much. The resort has a great location — even though it’s close to the main road, the bungalows are set deeper in the garden, surrounded by rice fields and lush greenery. There are two pools, a beautifully maintained garden and everything feels very cozy, with that traditional wooden Balinese–Javanese style. It’s truly magical The bathroom could use a refresh — the sink and bathtub were a bit clogged, and the hairdryer didn’t have much power. The WiFi is also quite weak throughout the resort.

The pool is quiet lovely, in between the trees and very peaceful. The receptionist is friendly Absolute horrible resort, stay away. The other 1 star ratings here are all correct in what they are writing. Filthy dirty rooms, the sofas outside on the terrace smell so bad, it is impossible to sit there as you have a wave of dirt smell at all times, those cushions have never been in cleaned in a century. The rooms are depressing, old and dark. Balinese style should'nt mean shabby. The photos on booking com are absolute not how the rooms look like. The photos on booking com are fake ! They tried to downgrade me to a very horrible room, then they gave me the room with the least privacy even though I requested for privacy. At 6 am the security man walks around spitting on the floor and making all kind of disgusting noises. The rest of the staff is always in your face, no manners at all. As a woman if you swim alone in the pool, 4 people come and clean around... no privacy at all. Resort from hell, stay away. Rats in your open bathroom. I have had open bathroom in Maldivian resorts many many times but no rats in it.

Beautiful jungle gardens. The service of Parwata. Older, traditional property. The bathtub and bathroom reallt showed its age.

the location was very nice and peaceful; the view of the fields and Borobudur in the horizon was moody; the grounds were charming. staff seemed nice. let me start by saying i have an average tolerance for bugs. i grew up with roaches and deal with a lot of spiders were i live now. however i was not mentally or emotionally prepared for what i experienced here. right after checking in, while showering a giant cockroach flew in and was crawling over my towel, i used the shower head to confuse it and ran for my boots but it took lots of stomping to finally kill it. back to finishing my shower 3 other roaches tried to crawl out of the drain; i covered the drain but one escaped and it took a while to kill that one too. after giving up on my shower and drying off i was shocked to see a massive brown spider near my open bag. it took a while to hunt and kill that too. at this point i realized i would not get a relaxing shower or night's sleep here. i realize this is the price of being out in nature but wow that was a stressful time and high price to pay if you plan to relax. i have stayed at many other remote resorts and never had this many encounters. maybe i just got unlucky. i came back to pay for the one night i never spent; but the credit card machine would not work, it took 10 minutes of failed attempts; i was lucky to have 700K rupiahs on me to pay for the night.

Honestly i really liked it . The staff was friendly . The location was very good . The breakfast was amazing . The room with the rice field was so good . The only issue was there was a ( gecko ) in my room . And i was told it was normal in Bali

Very suitable if you're looking for a "nature-retreat" type of stay. The resort grounds are amazing, with lush nature, rice fields and amazing views. Exploring everything is an adventure in itself. There are 3 swimming pools available, and a number of yoga halls with yoga classes available for booking, and a number of other retreat-type activities. The staff was very warm and happy to help to help me with a room change when I had problems due to the noise. The rooms badly need modernization and/or renovation. The furniture and flooring is very old and worn, bathtub was stained, fabric on the chairs was stained, even the phone next to the bed had grease and dirt on it and looked like it hadn't been wiped once since it was installed (which judging from the model, was maybe 20 years ago). The bed linens seemed clean but were also visibly very old, with permanent stains on some. The air conditioner is also very old and may make cranking noises randomly, but at least it did it's job to cool the room. There is absolutely no noise insulation, you can hear everything from outside and from neighboring rooms. If you have light sleep, you will get woken up pretty early by noises of nature and ,if you are unlucky as I was to get a room close to the road, of motorbikes. Thankfully the staff was very kind in providing me with a different room deeper into the resort which had no noise from the road. But still, expect noise from outside. The restaurant menu was also pretty outdated, with food options you would expect to find in a hotel from the 2000s. Few choices, very continental / European. The food itself was good and portions were ok, but it was probably the blandest menu I've seen anywhere in Bali. It seems that while the resort grounds are obviously carefully maintained and groomed, the rooms themselves have had the absolute minimum care since they were first built. It's a shame to have such a big contrast between outside and inside. It could be one of the best stays in Ubud if only they would devote at least half as much attention to the rooms and amenities, as they do to the surrounding grounds.
