Breakfast was perfect! It as a great way to start my morning before exploring the city!

Everything was spotless clean in the room and the garden. This was one of my favorite accommodation from my trip to Bali. Breakfast is super delicios with high quality ingredients, plus they have a yoga hall where they offer complimentary yoga class in the morning. I went to the yoga class every single morning of my stay and the yoga teacher was great! Location is excellent: quiet and close to the green rice fields, a bit out of the buzy centre. However just few minutes with scooter to reach center Ubud. People at the property are super nice. I loved it soo much that I have extended my stay here. Nothing to say.

Yoga too early?

I enjoyed my stay here! I loved the location. It’s still near the “downtown” area, but located in a more relaxing/calming area. I stayed only at this location while in Bali, where my tour guides had no issues picking me up. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. My room was great (AC works well)! My room was always cleaned and provided with new towels, water bottles on a daily. I enjoyed the access to morning yoga at their yoga studio. The breakfast was also included in the stay which was good. I also tried their lunch and dinner menu, which were tasty. There are some minor issues with the WiFi, however staff was very helpful in trying to find solutions. The best internet connection is located in the cowork space on the top floor.

Gayatri Retreat Ubud is a calm and pleasant place to stay. The rooms are comfortable, the garden and pool area are relaxing, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is quiet yet still close enough to Ubud’s main attractions.

Great stay overall, staff is realy helpful and pool and garden is great. Just keep in mind that the wooden houses although looking wonderful might be too "immersive" and not for everybody

Super friendly staff! The WiFi was quite inconsistent.

What a lovely stay! From the moment we walked up to the property until the last check out day, the staff was so welcoming. They were always helpful and friendly. The restaurant was great to have and the breakfast was always tasty. We spent some time at the pool which always had fresh towels and you can bring a beer over from the restaurant to enjoy. The room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. I slept very well during our stay. I appreciate how close it is to the outskirts of the main city yet far enough where it feels peaceful. It’s only a 10 minute walk into town for food or about 30 minutes to walk into the main area. It was a great way to get our steps in. Finally, the hotel has an option to get picked up or dropped off from the airport and the driver (Dewa) is exceptional. He’s timely and gets you where you need to be. He’s even offered to take us to other locations including Uluwatu for a very reasonable price. I would absolutely stay here again. The bathroom shower head points straight out which would spray water everywhere. It needs a handle to point it down at the ground and not at the wall. We did get bit by mosquitos in the night and the mosquito net doesn’t allow free flow of air, so we had too decide between being hot or not getting bit. But you have to remember, you’re staying in the jungle so there’s bound to be bugs.

Was and excellent stay, such lovely genuine staff, nothing was a problem. Our room reminded us of a tree house, felt at one with nature. The gardens on the property were immaculate and we loved the pool, quite a decent size. Our breakfast was the best and a lot of choice. Also had evening meals at the restaurant which were delish. The location was peaceful and rural but only a 15 minute walk to the centre of ubud. Would of been good to have a rubbish bin in our room. Didn't like leaving rubbish around for the staff to pick up

The rooms and pool were lovely. The gardens are beautiful and everything is really well looked after. The included breakfast was the best I've had at any resort in Bali so far and the staff were very helpful and attentive.

The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. The gardens were delightful.

The main complex is nicely laid out with gardens but the front has some construction work in progress. The room was spacious and nicely designed, with a good size bathroom. The location was close to Ubud main streets. Motorbike rental was convenient and cheap (100k/day). The location, although not in the centre of Ubud, was still close enough to a road to hear a lot of traffic noise, especially when at the restaurant but also in the room. There was also construction noise out the back since there seems to be a new development in process (not part of the hotel though, it seems). The room was not clean - the pillowcases had blood stains and towels/sheets generally stained. The mosquito net around the bed also had stains. There was no bin in the room - only in the bathroom, which is inconvenient for bottles/general rubbish. The breakfast was not great. It is chosen from several menus but within each menu you must choose between options such as fruit juice or fresh fruit, which seemed odd. Most places would give both, or at the very least, juice and coffee as standard. The portions were small, especially if you chose fruit (about 5 small pieces), or bread/croissants which would have a tiny amount of butter/jam. We ate at the restaurant and could not put the bill on our room which is fine but a little inconvenient and unusual. Finally, our room says it contains a hot tub which is not true - it is a bath. It is still nice but that is not what a hot tub is! Not a big issue though. In conclusion it was fine but not what we expected for the price.

Lovely hotel close to Ubud centre but just outside enough to be quiet and peaceful. Staff were incredibly kind and attentive and couldn’t do more for us. Food was amazing at the in house restaurant and had lots to offer. Great hotel that allows you to be based near all the activities in the area. Brilliant stay
-
Really nice comfortable hotel comfy bed and a great shower, side bar and restaurant does nice food n drinks all day, breakfast is cooked fresh to order, pool is nice n quiet getting the morning sun, staff are really friendly and will give you advise on trips or anything you need, most days they manage to sneak in and clean ur room whilst you're having breakfast, fresh water supplied every day ? it is a short walk from the main centre but gojek and grab are so cheap if you don't fancy the walk
-
We didn’t like our initial room - one of the bungalows, as it was much smaller and darker than expected, so we swapped for a room in the main building, which I think would have been cheaper. Staff were happy to accommodate the swap. Close to Ubud down a busy road with limited footpath. Staff are the best thing about the hotel. Beds are very hard The walls of the room in the main building are SO thin/not soundproof - you can hear EVERYTHING from your neighbours. This is a real issue and we struggled on some nights to get a decent night’s sleep. It’s a shame because the staff try so hard

The location is convenient, a few minutes from center by Grab. There’s a market nextdoor and a laundry service nearby. The hotel restaurant offers great breakfasts (it would be nice if they started serving it at 7 instead of at 8), the pool is nice. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Make sure to communicate very clearly with the staff, because their English isn’t impeccable. I would stay again. There’s a construction site practically on the property, so the mornings aren’t too peaceful. We stayed in September 2024 and it didn’t seem to be completed any time soon. At times it was a bit difficult to communicate with staff in English.

Wonderful place and super friendly staff. About 10-15 mins walk to ubud centre. Lovely restaurant overlooking the rice fields, spacious and comfortable rooms. Will 100% be back!
