The Location is perfect next to shin okubo station which is connected to many major subway lines. So much around the hotel too. Staff was amazing and rooms were amazing too. Going to stay here when we come back to tokyo for sure. nothing!

Very conveniently located, tucked amid the hustle and bustle of Koreatown and quick walk to the station. It is beautifully renovated, very modern Japanese aesthetic with artsy accents, and clean. It was just what I needed for a quick stay and great value for the price. Windows weren’t soundproof, so I could hear the trains, station announcements, and party goers in the area. I had to sleep with earplugs. Also, I checked out at 7am hoping to store my luggage, but couldn’t find any staff to assist me so I had to store it in a coin locker at the train station. It’s fine that they don’t staff the lobby, but I wish the staff was a bit more accessible and responsive.

Very charming hotel and walking distance from a lot of restaurants and facilities No elevator but not a deal breaker

Location, staff, cleanliness and quietness. Noura touching my suitcase bag!!! ?

The property was easy to find, small but comfortable. 2 minutes walk to shin-okubo station, I easily went to shibuya, shinjuku, harajuku etc, with yamanote line. I cannot say anything bad about the property, I could hear some occasional noise from the outside.

Great location. I’m the middle of Korean town. My window faced the station across the street. If you are a light sleeper you will slightly hear the trains until midnight and then again at 6 am. It didn’t bother me but it might bother others. Perhaps other rooms on the other side wouldn’t hear anything and I just had bad luck.

Room was very cold

Perfect place to stay if you’re traveling alone & will be out for most of the day — the rooms are a bit small but have everything you need and are very clean. It is also very conveniently located (next to a train station!)

Love the location, ease of check in and out, and staff. Facilities are great. This was my second time at Matsunoi so I can say that I very much enjoyed my stays here. n/a

The location of the hotel was amazing. It was near plenty of food places. On top of that, the hospitality of the staff was amazing! Kudos to Noura at the front desk for being the greatest! She was truly helpful and knowledgeable about the area, as well as being quite accommodating. Again, thank you very much for making my stay a great one, Noura. N/A

Friendly staff, small room but well designed. Too noisy starting 05h30 because the railway proximity. Price should be lower.
-
No elevator, but it was only an issue to carry the luggages downstairs when checking-out. For the check-in, the staff brought our luggages in the room

It's a good base location for Solo travellers. The staff were friendly. It is close to the train station, so it can be loud. The train announcements are easy to hear and it is near a lively street. I didn't mind the noise but it isn't for everyone.

We loved the location of the property — close to train station and to food, drinks, and kabukicho/ktown life. Check in was very easy despite the language barrier. They use a machine that looks like an ATM to check you in and out. There are baskets in the lobby with complementary toiletries and teas for you to grab on the go. The actual room was small, but expected for Japan, and very clean. We stayed on the second floor but there are a couple floors on the property with no elevator. I could see it being a problem for someone with a lot of luggage and stayed higher up. Fortunately, the concierge helped us with our stuff even when we told him he didn’t need to! :)

I really liked the location as it was very easy to get around for a couple of days. I also appreciated that there is a microwave for shared use and plenty of essentials, especially as my luggage was missing/delayed. The style of the place being traditional, is also very soothing when you're out and about in the busy city of Tokyo. The staff are very nice and welcoming too. I enjoyed the very dark window blind and despite hearing the train and its jingles, I thought it was pretty cute and immersive. I always sleep with earplugs, so it wasn't a problem :) While I expected it to be fairly small, I would not have had a place to put my luggage had I had it with me. If I had a carry-on only, then it would be ok I guess. I think I would struggle with the space if I was staying for much longer but it wasn't a big deal for two days and I found it pretty fun to make myself fit. My only real issue was the uncomfortable chair (no cushioning) and the futon was too thin (I've slept on futons before). I think the tv (especially so big) is unnecessary and the placement is a bit odd for me.

Everything, they are even offering Japanese style of rooms, where you can experience something new. Nothing
