Very comfortable, small room. We knew to expect that. Slightly more room to move around the double bed than in the Ueno Dormy Inn. We didn't have too much luggage, and were able to open our cases on the chair and stool provided. We were given softer pillows by the front desk when we asked for them. The onsen is fabulous. Excellent breakfast, with lots of variety. We had requested a room with a view and were delighted to be on the 14th floor.

The location was fabulous, breakfast had a huge variety and was very delicious. Nice to have the choice of a Japanese breakfast. Close to Sunshine City which is good to have a look around too. The single room was on the smallish side, but once things were re-organised it was actually fine. You are not in the room too much anyway, so not a big deal.

    Onsen bath

  • Engine customer May 2026

the Onsen for sure is the reason for me to book this hotel, 7-11 and lawson is nearby. The best thing is they have toyota-rent-a-car store next to it, so convenience to pick up your car. the Onsen on a Sunday night is a bit crowd, water get dirty that i scare to go in on that night. Come in the weekday will be much better.

Ikebukuro is a bit further out from Tokyo's touristy hubs, so be prepared for longer commutes if you want to go places like Shibuya, Ginza, and especially Haneda Airport. The station is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. I personally had a lot of connectivity issues with the free wifi, but my partner didn't have any problems. The bathroom had a bit of a mildewy smell, but I noticed this in a lot of Japanese hotels and it wasn't unbearable. Like most other Tokyo hotels, the room is not the most spacious, so having a lot of luggage will feel cramped.

The pillows could have been a little more comfortable, but this was a very minor detail.

Nice location, kind and polite staff, excellent spa facilities, very god policy concerning clients A little bit small room but nice. Only unexpected drowback was having only one (not big) double bed for 3 persons (2 adults and a 11y kid)

We only used the bath once, but it was very nice. Also, all of the little extras were a great touch. We could walk to 2 different metro stations in about tge same amount of time, so that was convenient. The breakfast was fabulous. We were on the fence about adding it in advance, but I'm glad we did. Even if you don't like traditional Japanese style breakfast, there were tons of other options. And all of it was fresh and delicious. I know it's typical of hotel rooms in Japan, but the room was so small. Very hard to maneuver suitcases around. And I wish hotels would provide a small coffee maker, or even instant coffee in their rooms. Plus, the metro stops were at least a 15 minute walk away. And the Ikebukuro station is crazy, especially with luggage.

Everything was perfect, such as location, foods and Onsen( hot spring). The staff were very kind and helpful. If you need to go to Haneda airport, it’s very easy to go there by the Bus. I really recommend this hotel. None

Free amenities, great location and amazing staff! They let us keep our luggage at the hotel after check out to visit the city one last time before our flights! Would definitely stay again. Pillows were too hard ?

The breakfast was okay with a decent amount of options. All the free popsicles, ramen, and onsen were great. They cleaned my room every day which was great. Very accommodating overall. It is a calm and quiet hotel even though there is a decent amount of people staying there. A lot of the breakfast items were cold. I really wish the rooms were larger, but i understand that is more of a luxury in Tokyo. If the rooms were larger it’s would’ve been a perfect stay. I also don’t like that you have to rent a clothing iron, and i wish the laundry was free.

Good location and price, and they left us a nice snack in the fridge upon arrival. Check in and checkout were professional and easy. Most major amenities were provided. The room was tiny with barely enough room for 2 suitcases and the bedsheets felt like plastic. They rustled every time we moved and felt bad against skin. The pillowcases were the same material and the pillows were very hard, so sleep wasn’t comfortable.

    Nice Nice

I really loved the hot spring, it was a refreshing way to start each day. And the ramen at the end of the day was delicious. The pillows were a bit too hard. There was only one blanket on the bed and it was incredibly hot.

I love Dormy Inns and this one did not disappoint. It is in a great neighborhood. It is close to the Sunshine Shopping complex with all the modern attractions but still close to quaint old neighbourhoods. It is within walking distance of three train stations allowing easy access to anywhere in Tokyo. It was great to stay a little bit outside the main core but still be in a vibrant neighbourhood. As always, I greatly appreciate the delicious breakfast spread as well as the access to laundry facilities. Soap is included and the washing machines are free. Dryers are 100jpy for 20 min and are very effective. The pillows are crazy hard. Just ask at the front desk for softer ones.
