This place is great and I look forward to staying here again very soon! It’s my new favorite place on earth!!!

Shower does not work, woke up with hundreds of bed bug bites, staff tried walking inside our room during the middle of our rest late afternoon. Horrible experience, won’t be coming back.

Very Clean, excellent location, close to everything

Ice cold A/C. Nice staff. Very clean. Old building just needs a little TLC but definitely has great history showing through it. Don't let the outside deter you, it's a nice facility.

The hotel was pretty dirty. We had to change rooms because the first one had no air flow and smelled like smoke, plus it looked like there was vomit on the couch. The 2nd room was better but not great and it didn’t have any towels. The location was great and the staff helped us to move rooms. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Please stay away. Very misleading pictures. Ruined my family's weekend. Dirty, unmaintained, elevator not functioning, AC in and out.

Great location, has potential but needs serious updating and a good cleaning

Sadly I understand they're tearing down this historic building soon. I do hope they'll save some of the hundred-year-old banisters and water fountains. For no reason whatsoever this place will charge you an enormous amount to check in early. If a room is available why in the world should a customer have to wait?

I paid right at 200$ for one night here and got about a 40$ motel worth. The lobby was dirty and smelled of horrid body oder. I had to wait at the check in desk for around 15 minutes before any staff came. She got me my room key and the room was average at best. I went to leave to go and eat later that night and a different staff member was at the desk. (The only bright spot of the hotel) She informed me that there was a code on the main door and at a certain hour they would lock. Thank goodness for her because the first girl mentioned nothing of this. Would get a one star had it not been for the one good staff member.

The room smelled bad, and the carpet was dirty. The bathroom had no toilet paper.

this is a nice old place.

I sent a message to the Hotel. I still have not received a response. On arrival I was issued room 202 had to block up and down the stairs three times as the key did not work each time and neither did the elevator. After the three attempts the attendant gave me a key to room 205. By entering room 205 the room had a terrible odor. At that point, I informed the attendant that I was refusing the room and to let them know that I would like a refund issued. Apparently the AC wasn’t working in the lobby either as it was 85°. I do not normally write these complaints, but this was absurd.

I would only recommend, if it's your last available option for 1 night only.

The first things you need to know is that there is an incredibly high fee for checking in even a half hour earlier than 3:00 p.m., which is what THEY say even though it says 11:00AM on Hotels.com. how in the world do they expect to charge you nearly half of your night's stay for checking in a half hour early? Do not leave the counter until you have a parking permit in your hand because later on they'll claim you didn't ask and then tell you there are none left and you can just go down the street and park in the $30 a night parking space. The rooms are quite clean but the TVs don't work at all. The shower is strange in that there is a curtain that only goes down to your knee. There's no way to stop the water from going into the rest of the room. There is no elevator and the ice maker is in another wing of the hotel and the microwaves are all on the first floor. But at least they have them right? The location can't be beat. You are surrounded by restaurants and nightclubs and bars and you are a 5-minute walk from the most beautiful beaches. And the price is exquisite so take it for what it's worth.

Unfortunately, the property itself is very old and rundown. The pictures on the website make the hotel look much nicer than it actually is. Once you arrive, it feels like a completely different place, which was very disappointing and honestly felt like a bait and switch. Because of that, I will not be staying there again.

Lack of parking. Lack of respect by the front desk.

This was a great place to stay. It sucks they’re tearing down the hotel at the beginning of June

Apparently, there’s plans to demolish the property and build a high-rise. The hotel owners are not doing anything to upkeep the property in the meantime.

When we arrived, the front door was locked and we had to call the hotel for someone to come unlock it so we could enter. During check in, I asked the employee whether anyone else was staying at the hotel, and she responded that the place was vacant before saying she was “just joking.” After paying for an unexpected parking pass, we went to the rear parking lot and noticed there was not a single car there, which made the comment feel less like a joke and added to our concerns. When we reached the rear entrance, we noticed the door was being secured after hours with a chain and padlock, which further contributed to us feeling unsafe and unsettled. Due to the overall condition of the property and the safety concerns we experienced, we chose not to stay there and instead booked another hotel down the street.

This is a old style motel, hardly done up to rank itself as a hotel. I would never return.
