The Inn on Third

I really like this inn. It’s older and it doesn’t have any amenities like a pool or fitness center, but the owners are so wonderful and the breakfast is really good. It’s kind of an old fashioned place, so older furniture and wall ac units. But it comfortable, a great location, easy and a really good price for downtown st pete. The owners make it special.

Staff is nice but Inn is too anitque for me.Squicky floors tiny rooms and microscopic tv and all rooms have view of the surrounding parking lot. For a night OK but found better option similar price 10min walk away.

My experience with The Inn On Third was awesome. Innkeepers were very kind, professional and they make the guests feel at home. I recommend anybody no matter where they come from to stay in this Hotel. They speak several languages which made my relatives who dont speak english very comfortable and also attended to any needs. I believe a little piece of my heart will stay in the Inn on the third forever. I can only recommend it 100%

The inn on third was the perfect staycation for out forth wedding anniversary! The staff was welcoming and the rooms were clean and cozy. The location was superb-within walking distance to all of the restaurants and things we wanted to go to/do. The parking was right on site which was also a huge plus.

Stephanie and Brian were the best hosts you could ever ask for. The hotel is very quaint and charming.. Takes you back in time. Excellent location, you can walk to all the great restaurants and the pier. Highly recommend it. I would have liked them to have a small coffee maker in the rooms. I love very early morning coffee and it wasn't available until 8.am.

Very friendly staff! Inn is in need of a major renovation. Vintage is one thing. Cracked walls and ceilings, chipped paint, chairs with wobbly legs, pillows that looked to be 10-15 years old are another. Make it vintage but cute/cool. Great location. Has potential.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Inn on Third! As a solo female traveler I felt perfectly safe, welcome, and taken care of. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, the AC was great, and I loved how clean the shower was! I also loved having coffee and breakfast every morning. The location is fantastic, too. I really don’t have a bad thing to say, and I tend to be a critical person. You just can’t go wrong with this place, for the price and what you get, it’s simply the best. :)

My room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. Despite being in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, it was quiet and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a long day. I also appreciated the small touches—complimentary drinks during the evening social hour and a simple but pleasant breakfast in the morning. The location is perfect: close to restaurants, museums, and everything you’d want to explore in the area. For the price, comfort, and hospitality, The Inn on Third exceeded my expectations. I’d happily stay again.

A perfect 10. The Innkeepers/owners are delightful. We reserved 3 rooms, all of which were impeccably clean. Free parking. Walkable to shops and restaurants. Wine hour in the evening with other guests in the gathering room. Everyone was happy. You can't beat the location.

What a gem near downtown St. Pete! The staff members are SO HELPFUL. Our room and the common areas were very clean. We really liked all of the vintage furniture and decorations. This will be our future staying place for future St. Pete visits.

Adequate breakfast and happy hour beverages provide opportunity to chat with other guests from US and Europe. Lots of museums, restaurants, coffee shops and bookstores within easy walking distance (less than a mile). Will definitely come back.

The Inn on Third is a great little gem in St Petersburg and walkable to most attractions.

price was great , free parking , good location , free simple breakfast the air conditioning was loud and really did not keep the room cool . no vent or fan in the bathroom . the room had a bit of a musty smell .

The owners are delightful and very helpful. The Inn is in a perfect location if you want to be close to Beach Drive. It has a warm cozy atmosphere and everything is very neat and clean. The continental breakfast is also excellent. I highly recommend this property and it is now my GO TO PLACE whenever I visit St. Pete. I was not dissatisfied with anything. This property is perfect.

Location was great! We walked to Tropicana Field for a Cubs game, walked to Voodoo Brewery, Fergs, & a few other places. In the morning walked to Maple Street Biscuit Co for a great breakfast. Great location!!! We didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast but it looked good. Nothing.

This is an excellent location. Rooms are small and a bit dated but we had a great experience there. The free parking is a real bonus. The Marriott across the street charges a fair bit to park. Everything is in easy walking distance.

Typical Boutique hôtel, as it should be

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and cozy. Parking was easy right next door and downtown location was fantastic, just a few blocks from many restaurants. The beds were too soft for my taste but everything else was great.

My stay at The Inn on Third was amazing. The owner was present, very helpful and also incredibly nice. The other guests were great to chat with, especially during breakfast and the social hour that they have each night. The atmosphere of The Inn is so cool and unique. It's like taking a trip back into time which I really enjoyed. The room was very clean, the bed was comfy, and even though there was a ton going on around The Inn the weekend I was there it was quiet which allowed me to get good rest. I am moving to St Pete so I'm not sure there will be a need for me to stay again, but if you are visiting St Pete I would highly recommend staying for all the reasons I listed above AND for the extremely convenient location. You can walk to many of the great sites that St Pete has to offer and you can also hop on the Sun Runner (free public transport) if you want to visit one of the beaches.

Breakfast was limited. Not enough coffee was made for the amt of ppl waiting. Staff were very friendly. The condition of the Inn is passable. The bed was very hard and blanket was thin. I was there an it became cold. There was not heating available for the room. The paint in my room and the bathroom especially was peeling. The water pressure was very poor. I understand it is an old structure, but I stay in older Inns etc almost as a rule. Others are in better condition and don't have peeling paint. Travelers need creature comfort and that can be done without luxury. Luxury was not expected. It could be a great spot with a little update.

This is a wonderful little place. The hosts are amazing, friendly and service is top notch! Jim at front desk is funny and knows the area well if you need suggestions. Centrally located we walked to everything. Its literally down road from pier and lots of restaurants. Room very clean, daily linen/towel change upon request (just leave the sign on door handle). This is an older establishment with history but is beautifully maintained and loved. Definitely would stay again.

We had a great stay, the Innkeeper Brian was awesome. The hotel is very clean and has nice little touches like a freshly prepared continental breakfast, good coffee, and for those who need it a nice little smoking area set up outside. The hotel is walking distance from busy Central Ave where we walked each night to have dinner. I would say this hotel has immense value if that’s the type of hotel you’re looking for. Oh and the bed was very comfortable along with the nice cool AC, I slept like a baby as the hotel was full but still had a nice quiet presence. We will be back as we’re looking for a new home in the area :)

The customer representatives were friendly and helpful. However, this place needs a lot of updates. The lobby rug looks dirty and smell. The wall around toilet holder was broken. The walls on the room needed a good cleaning. The bathroom also had a bad odor. The food was not that great. In fact, we rather cancelled our last night stay; which meant loosing money. We don’t understand why this place was rated 9.6. With all respect, it should be rated only 6.0 or even less than that. We’re very disappointed with this reservation. Sincerely David and Genevieve

The hotel is 20 rooms ; free parking inc continental bfast in the best western / Hampton inn style in the lobby . Reminds me of a B&B in England ! Great location - very quiet but walking distance to the action on Central Avenue . Room is adequate - ok size with dressing table and desk - double bed / side tables . AC and TV . Attached bath - maybe 7x5 - not very large but adequate . For one night and the money it was worth it ! Furniture is antique - I liked the old world . Yes baseboard is a bit chipped but we didn’t care . Room for improvement ; free bottled water ? Liked having the mini fridge .

Building is very interesting structure that has been a part of St. Petersburg for almost 100 years. It is a weil maintained building. Reminds me of the boarding houses that are in old movies. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the complementary beer in evening and breakfast in the common area. It was apparent that the owner is proud of his motel. We were staying there due to activities at our home in Seminole. As a 40 year resident of the area, we have an interest in the history of “old” structures in St. Petersburg. It is nice that a place like the Inn on 3rd Ave is still here and going strong. Highly recommend this place to stay.

Check-in was very easy. The room was clean and adequate for the short amount of time that I spent in there. The AC worked well. There were a variety of items for breakfast, and I found it to be just enough to satisfy my hunger in the morning. The staff/owners were very kind and helpful when I fell outside on the sidewalk (not in front, but down the road), and provided a first aid kit and ice packs.

A pure delight, full of the spirit of St Petersburg. Lots of good advice from the hosts at Inn on Third about local amenities like the Downtown Hopper and the Sun Runner to the beaches. An unparalleled surprise! And the pier area was likened to being in a seaside Manhattan. Many young people, music and lively atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended from arrival onwards!

Inn on Third is a gem. Reminds me of being in Europe. Old school in all the best ways, with all the tech you need. The breakfast/cocktail area is a wonderful place to gather and chat - with other guests and the wonderful staff. The room was very comfortable. And the neighborhood is wonderful and walkable to all the best of St. Pete. I travel here a lot and will make this my automatic go-to.

Ok first of all the host was super cool…very professional as well as attentive to my cable box which she swapped out crazy fast….for sure I will be back oh and she allowed me to early check in which again was super cool and the place had a great charm, very cozy like I just got home feeling. My husband and I attended a concert at Janus and booked this hotel to stay over after the concert. The room was clean and cozy. The lobby area was lovely with continental breakfast and a happy hour. The staff were friendly and helpful. If we're in downtown St. Pete again, this would be our first choice of places to stay.

Great place to stay for a solo traveler. Owners were amazing and helpful. Walking distance from shoreline restaurants as well as museums. Safe area. While you shouldn't expect the sterile 24/7 convenience of a hotel, I enjoyed the feeling of staying at a friend's house the Inn provides.

The property is well kept for a building built in the 1930’s. The space is a bit crammed, but somewhat charming. The staff is amenable, courteous and helpful. Location is convenient in respect to nearby attractions.

Loser building that could use some tlc on the outside entrance but overall very quaint and comfortable and close to a fun area with restaurants & music. Owner is awesome, helpful and friendly.

The Inn on Third was an oasis in the middle of a busy city; away from the hustle and bustle but close to all the major activities, restaurants, and pubs. The rooms were clean, the continental breakfast had fruits, cereal,pastries and more. The complimentary glass of wine in the afternoon was a nice touch. Complimentary parking on the Inn's grounds was available. Overall, a comfortable stay.

Absolutely adored our stay at the Inn on Third. The location was easy to reach, parking for the hotel was amazing and the hotel itself was lovely! Really amazing decor style, and the property itself was well taken care of. The staff are phenomenal, Brian was amazing, super helpful about everything in the local area and couldn’t have done more to make our stay as pleasant and memorable as possible! A brilliant hotel with amazing staff, I would 100% stay again if I’m in the area.

The breakfast and evening drinks are a nice touch. We will be booking again next concert we go to in St Pete.

This place was the sweetest. The rooms are dated but charming (and very clean). S u p e r friendly staff as well as everyone staying there, easy (and free) parking. I would def stay here again :)

Quaint hotel. Security-minded(front door always locked; room key accessible). Adequate room size. Two stories (stairs; no elevator) Friendly staff. Easy checking in and checkout. Nice continental breakfast with many options.

Charming boutique hotel with quite a history in the center of it all. The owners and staff are fantastic. Excellent location and great free off street reserved parking next to the property. Comfortable room with good AC. Enjoyed the free drink at happy hour. This will be the first hotel I look at on future St Pete trips.

Super friendly! Let us borrow chairs for a festival. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It’s an older building and the air conditioner struggled a bit to keep up. The continental breakfast and Happy hour drink was the perfect touch. Definitely recommend!

AC in room was noisy and had to be turned off in order to sleep.

Really enjoyed an alternative to a hotel chain stay. Walking up a flight of stairs was not an issue. There wasn't quite enough table seating for everyone at breakfast but others sat on sofas with a coffee table. The hosts managed our unexpected late arrival due to weather and emailed my receipt due to my very early departure. Comfortable room and bath and very reasonable price!

It's an ild building but has all you need in a hotel. Staff was great.

Staying at this SMALL quality historic hotel was far more enjoyable than staying at a modern chain hotel. Breakfasts and evening social hours were shared with super-friendly staff and a small group of others staying at the hotel. Staff and other guests gave great information about museums, events, restaurants, etc. A streaming stick could be used with the TV, ours was a Roku TV. Short walk to downtown restaurants, shops, museums, markets, and events. Room had a refrigerator and fast charging (2A) USB ports. I believe the hotel is owner operated, which is a plus.

It’s a very charming hotel with immaculately kept comfortable rooms that have retained the character of the early days of the hotel, including vintage furniture, accessories, and photos. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to visiting again.

This is truly an Inn. An older hotel which has been updated but they kept all the quaintness and hominess. The hosts are very helpful and accommodating. Everything was very clean and comfortable. A true gem centrally located in downtown.

Hotel is "historical" but don't be turned off by that. The rooms are clean and well cared for.

Friendliness of the staff was outstanding. Only one thing I noticed that could have been less than five was some of the paint on the doorframe was a little chipped dated. I mean that’s being really really nitpicky. This place was great. Bathrooms clean good water pressure and lots of toiletries. Bed was very comfortable. Ac was good. Super convenient location. Lots of really nice antique furniture. No pool but nice patio area. No hot breakfast but pastries bagels cereal yogurt hard boiled eggs coffee. It was good.

The location was wonderful for walking to museums. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Social hour with other guests was fun. We will definitely return for any stays in St. Petersburg.

Inn on Third is a classic downtown inn that is very cozy. Free beer or wine in the evening and continental breakfast in the morning. Very convenient to downtown St Petersburg museums and The Palladium Performing Arts Center where my husband was performing.

Unique wonderful place

The biggest positive about this place is the people who work there. They were very friendly and helpful. If you like to socialize and drink, they do have a social hour every evening that some people might really enjoy. My friend and I don't drink so we didn't really attend. The next biggest positive is its closeness to downtown. You can take the free shuttle or walk to some really nice restaurants and museums. Despite all of its needs for an update, I would definitely stay here again.
