This is one of the loveliest properties I’ve stayed at. Its staff is kind and attentive, without being fussy. Our room was enormous (double room) with a living room. Our bathroom was luxurious. The hotel has all the amenities you could wish for housed in a timeless, graceful palazzo. I absolutely loved everything about our stay. I didn’t like having to leave so soon. Retorno presto.

Everything was great, from the location, helpful staff, attention to detail, old world charm… Have to try once as it’s not a cheap hotel, but in my opinion it was a great experience Not much, maybe breakfast on the terrace would have been the icing on the cake but we were informed that the seagulls might be a menace

Amazing hotel. Grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was amazing. Perfect day ended with Negroni flight watching the sunset at hotel bar. We hated that we couldn’t stay longer.

The hotel has a wonderful location on the coastline with fabulous views over the bay. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the breakfast buffet is astonishing. Kettles are not provided in the rooms although they are available on request apparently.

Everything about this hotel was old world beauty! From the rooms to the lobby to the pool area! It was in such a great location right off the Main Street which you would never know when you are in the hotel. Service was impeccable and the views of the warf and the ocean were amazing. The concierge did an amazing job helping us arrange transportation and also helping us with lost luggage. The pool area was so relaxing and beautiful for afternoons! Everything was perfect but compared to the other similarly amazing hotels we stayed at through Italy this was the most expensive.

We liked everything, the hotel is fantastically located, in the heart of Sorrento, in a beautiful, large garden, full of beautiful flowers and plants. The hotel staff deserves the highest distinction, incredibly helpful. We received a beautiful room, so beautiful that we wondered for a long time whether to go into the city at all, it was so beautiful, full of authentic antiques, a terrace and such an extraordinary atmosphere. Perfect breakfast, comfortable bed, everything was perfect. We travel a lot, but this was one of the greatest hotels we have visited. Nothing, it was a perfect stay.

I have stayed in many hotels across the world from 2 star to 4 star but found the 5 star Excelsior Vittoria to be the best. We didn’t find one thing we didn’t like. Every member of staff we found to be of the highest order.

Hotel is in an amazing location & all the staff were excellent and really helped make the stay (not forgetting the owners too) You could hear everything from the neighbouring bathroom which was really uncomfortable, but everything else was better than perfect.

The Grand Excelsior Vittoria is the epitomy of magnificent hotels in Sorrento. The private location in the middle of the city and the expansive views of the gulf are inimitable. The staff and service are beyond exceptional and for the caliber hotel they are, they are very child friendly. They also have a direct elevator to the marina. I would never want to stay anywhere else in Sorrento. You feel you are living in a different era altogether. Nothing.

Marvelous views, marvelous decor, marvelous garden, marvelous restaurants, marvelous location. Great place to stay when doing various day tours on the Amalfi coast and to Capri. Pure luxury.

I've stayed at some of the very best hotels in the world, but I think this was the best. We had a slight problem at the start of our stay but it was resolved so well and so professionally that it only enhanced the experience. ALL the staff from the general manager, Tiziana right down to the room maids and bell boys were absolutely superb and they all seemed to know everyone's name which was impressive. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and the service exceptional. We used the both the Terrazzo Bosquet and L'Orangerie restaurants in the evening and I can highly recommend both of them. Oh, and the suite was fantastic. Like a lot of historic buildings, its difficult to deliver the right number of bedside sockets for our multiple devices, but we got by.
