Right at the harbor for beautiful views. Easy access to ferries to Capri and Amalfi coast. Lovely facilities and staff. Breakfasts were great. Short walk via lift to train station to Pompei It’s a steep journey from the town but there is a lift available. Didn’t know where it was on arrival so had to pay for a taxi down Restaurant has excellent food but not very accommodating for requests as simple as replacing shrimp with veggies.

If you are taking day trips out of Sorrento this is an excellent location! We loved how close it was to the ferry. The breakfast was great and included in our room cost. The room was small and clean, not luxurious. That was okay with us because we were barely in the room. We loved the roof top bar. We watched the sunset and ordered food and drinks both nights. It was a great way to end the day! There are some steps right behind the hotel that take you right up to the main square and bustling town of Sorrento.

Very close to the ferry. The breakfast was very good. There was no refrigerator in the room.

Conveniently located right at the ferry port. It’s a short bus ride up the hill to the Sorrento Piazza’s with busses leaving frequently. Great breakfast and rooftop bar. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed our 3 nights at this location.

The staff was friendly for the most part specially the breakfast staff. The room I had overlooked the harbor and it was very comfortable. They are not set up for longer stays - you have to come to the lobby to get hot water for tea and I was denied it once but helped by another lobby attendant another time. Breakfast is the same everyday but the personnel weighting on people is superb! Great location ! Not set up for a long stay

Like that there's breakfast available, but it would be nice if they started earlier, so tourists could take an earlier boat schedule to explore other islands. I like that there's an elevator available especially with large luggage. Earlier breakfast option, staff may need to be more welcoming with big smiles, nice to notify guests the bus option from the train station with clear instructions.

Beautiful setting at the port for ferry cruises to Capri, Amalfi Coast, and Naples. A good hike down from Sorrento Centro above, and hike back up to get into town. Very nice hotel with views across Naples Bay. Breakfast was sufficient, with barista preparing cappuccino and espresso as requested. Staff was very amenable to holding luggage when rooms were not ready, or after checkout before departing. Parking was provided by a valet service for 25 euro/night. Room was a little tight with two larger suitcases. Set one up in the larger bathroom and it worked well for the two days there. Did not eat in the restaurants or use adjacent sky bar, but they looked very nice.

The hotel is located in the harbor, and slightly built into the rock. A breakfast was as for 3* hotel: scrambler, sausages, vegetables, croucines, coffee: all was OK. A car parking is valet parking for 25 EU per night. A ships ticket office is in 10 -15 meters from the entrance. It is very comfotable for people planning a day trip by ship to Capri island. Figure out in advance the view from room - even it is said "a city view", there is no city view, but the rock only, or the gorge in the better case. I felt like I am a men of the undeground :). The safe's lock had a broken core, which I could take out and put in my pocket. Finally, there was no fridge in the room, even a smallest one for a can of beer.

we were quite surprised to find some small insects in the bed sheets. I believe with more attention to cleanliness, this hotel could offer a much better experience for guests.

Hotel Il Faro is right in the port and is ideal if you are going island hopping. The facility is very clean, modern, and staff is friendly and helpful. Though in the port, the hotel is only roughly 8 minutes to the town center by stairs and almost the same time taking the Sorrento elevator. Only comment I can make is that there is some noise from the hallways. I believe it is a function of the fact that the building is made of concrete and concrete bounces off sound and does not absorb it. However, this was not a deal breaker for me.

The property had a beautiful outdoor deck and lounge however you had to purchase food from the restaurant and it wasn’t open the entire time. It was right at the port so convenient to boat/ferry/taxi access. Room was very tiny. Since it was at sea level by the port you either had to walk up a steep incline or take the bus for $5. Very loud location. Registration desk staff was not very helpful.
