TownePlace Suites by Marriott Houston North / Shenandoah

I had a king suite. It was huge. Even with the sofa pull out you still have space to walk around the room. The kitchen had enough walkway that you did not feel squished. Breakfast was exceptional. I have attached pictures. Only negative about breakfast was that there was no flavored creamer.... But everything else made up for it. Staff was very friendly. The pool was the perfect temperature and a good size. I wish there was a hot tub and the TV was a weird angle in the bedroom.

Very clean and maintained. The staff was very kind and helpful. If needed we would stay here again.

Heather was amazing and she even Added the event for the weekend on the board for us.

Everything was great, check in was a breeze, the room was nice and clean, it was quiet and peaceful which is saying something because it was Memorial Day weekend and the hotel was close to or at capacity.

Clean room, looked brand new. The breakfast was good and plentiful.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room and common areas were very clean and a pleasure to stay in. Having a kitchen in the room made the week stay so much easier. They provided a full breakfast with hot food, hot cereal, cold cereal, breads and bagels, yogurt and at least 8 toppings. The pool area had towels, seating for lounging and tables to eat. They also had a grill for the guests to use. When we come to Texas to visit our kids, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Disappointing

The door lock was broken on the glass door leading to the patio. Bathroom floor needed a little extra cleaning.

The desk clerks last night and this morning were excellent, the breakfast room was super clean and the food was fresh and tasty. All in all, a very nice experience.

Staff was great, room was comfortable, reasonably priced. We appreciated having 2 chairs and a desk! Breakfast was good, although I'm not a fan of powdered scrambled eggs. Good coffee. Very convenient location, easy walking distance to restaurants and Starbucks. Recommended.

I did notice how clean the hotel is considering it is a pet friendly place! Another reason to stay, lots of cute fur babies! The breakfast was just not very appealing (eggs and sausage were undercooked for my liking, but the coffee was good :)

TownePlace Suite was a great stay because of the staff. They were all so friendly & accomodating. Heather was the first person we met and was extremely friendly. We will stay here again.

Overall very good. Pretty easy to find just slightly off the highway. Very clean place, comfortable room. Breakfast selections weren't excessive but it was well stocked and good. Check-in and checkout was fast and very courteous. Would stay again when in the area.

Went into the kitchen for breakfast where my Daughter fount mold on her Bagel.The only problem is this was at the end of Breakfast meaning the Bagel way there all morning and it they were just serving moldy food all morning

Wonderful experience. We came for a second honeymoon and hope to be back someday. Only negative was that I was not made aware of the daily parking fee, so that was an unpleasant surprise. Everything else was top-notch. Clean room, comfortable bed. Pleasant employees. Breakfast was decent; they maybe could try switching up the daily oatmeal with some grits. But overall a great place to stay.

Very easy to walk from to where we needed to meet. Air conditioning was very adequate. The blower will blow on the left side of the bed, if you are sensitive to cool air, I recommend sleeping on the right side of the bed. The hot water was amazing and super hot and pressure was just fabulous. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was decent (eggs, potato, waffle, cereals, juices, and coffees). Pool was up and running and active (I did not partake in pool) The cleaning ladies were friendly and the clean smells were all through the halls. I have no complaints.

The stay was amazing. Breakfast was great every morning. The room had more than enough space for us. We loved the kitchen area to be able to fill it with some groceries and not spend a ton going out. Will stay there again for sure. The staff was awesome and so polite and professional.

We have stayed here many times. You can see some signs neglect in the appearance. We experienced an issue with little to no hot water. Asked the front desk about a small issue and was met with a shoulder shrug! Kinda like I just don’t care!

If it was king bed, Id be copletely floored. The room was musty and rust in the bathroom door jamb. I wasnt impressed. Marriott is not what it used to be. 😥

Sorry, but while the eggs and such were good for the breakfast, the sausage was not and I had a few issues with it on my stomach. Other than that, nice stay at a well maintained and cleaned place.

The breakfast was good, the pool area was clean and inviting, but the room was oddly arranged ... TV was on the side of the bed, so we had to watch it at an odd angle. And, the primary thing that kept me from giving this hotel a higher rating was the difficulty I had with the hotel's internet, and I couldn't even use my Amazon Firestick on the TV without having to go through their tech support (for which I was charged $4.95 for data assistance, although since I wasn't told about that until I checked out, the charge was reversed.) But we've stayed in MANY hotels and this is the first time we've ever encountered anything like this. Overall, there were some nice things about the hotel but we'll likely stay elsewhere next time.

Close to shopping center and excellent restaurants. Complete kitchen for cooking and eating in room! Rooms are clean. Front desk excellent! Would stay again.

I will not use Expedia for Marriott bookings because you do not earn the rewards for Mariotts

Breakfast was ok. No sausage, only bacon. No waffles or pancakes.

My only issue was I wish the breakfast had a bit more to offer.

I believe my stay, although short, very comfortable, easy check-in, confy room. I loved the furniture, specially the futton with the wood cover that works as a tray or bed tray

All staff were friendly and we were met with a smile every time we came in or out. The facility was exceptionally clean. Lovely, nutritious options for breakfast. Nice and convenient to our daughter's home, made for a great Thanksgiving week together.

The pool and outdoor patio were so lovely to eat breakfasts on and just sit and relax. Nice hedges make it feel quite secluded and almost like a resort. Breakfasts were nice and I had several gluten free options available as someone with celiac. But many others for my husband who is not. We were well fed each morning. We would definitely return here again.

Everything was great Except that I would like to mention that being a pets friendly hotel I was expecting a designated area to take my furry friends out to do their needs. Other than that all was good

There was a terrible smell in the room when we arrived. They tried to cover it up by putting scented gel beads in the room. This smell made it worse. We would have gone to another hotel, but we were exhausted from helping family move to a third floor apartment.

Stay here often it is always a pleasure.

Little outdated. Not many tv selections

Fair place to stay. DO NOT believe pet friendly. Nothing mentioned on web site about 100$ extra fee for pet. They were even rude and dismissive about whole situation. I do not recommend this particular TownePlace Suite. The other TownePlace Suites I've stayed have been great. I will have to reconsidered them based on this experience.

CON: Limited breakfast selection (no waffle), room has musty odor, carpet looks very old and dirty, a/c is loud when it turns on. My credit card was charged incidental fee for parking, I had to call them to issue full credit.

This was the prefect place for our needs. The room was spacious and we loved the kitchen. Breakfast was wonderful the next morning, something for everyone in the family. Will definitely be back when we are visiting family.

I only had to issues with our ground floor room. The air conditioner is rather loud when it kicks on, and it turns on often throughout the night and wakes you up. And if anyone in the floors above you flush the toilet, it is very loud as the water goes theough the wall by the bed, waking you up again.

I have had good experiences with almost all Marriott properties and this one is a good one. For the price, good clean room, competent, friendly staff, quiet even though it’s kind of close to the highway. Breakfast was disappointing but I don’t generally eat breakfast much anyway. Good job.

Hands down the best water pressure for any hotel we’ve stayed at! The breakfast was okay but that was the only thing about this stay that wasn’t the best. Otherwise it was a great stay!

We've stayed at this hotel many times over the last 8 to 10 years. I've always been impressed with the size of the rooms. They are always clean, and nicely appointed. There have been a few small "issues" along the way; ice machines, noisy refrigerators, but nothing ever that was a deal breaker.

* Decent breakfast. * The only big complaint I have is the lack of hospitality of the evening shift desk lady. If you're in the hotel (hospitality) business, it should follow that the receptionists embody that. The snarky attitude towards very tired guests just won't cut it for me.

Excellent hotel and the included breakfast was very good. We had a room with a small outside patio as requested. We always stay here when visiting my granddaughters.

We didn't ask for another room, our 4 year old son was already asleep and we'd already moved rooms once... but my wife was uncomfortable with the heat and lack of airflow.

Good location, quiet, clean and functional. My only complaint was at checkout they added a $2.xx daily fee for parking lot maintenance or upkeep or some other chicken sh!! excuse. If you have a fee disclose it on line and add it to the cost of the daily stay. Some weasel came up with this crappy charge and is safely hiding behind his desk. Very disappointed with this type of dealing with the "stupid" customers/"we fooled them again" policy. Marriott should have more class than this.

Loved all the trees, nature is my thing! The room was awesome, made me feel as if I was at home and traveling 9 hours from home that was a very good thing!! Employees were very nice, great attitude! Best place I've stayed at!!!!
