Comfort Suites Shenandoah-The Woodlands

Live roach ran across the desk table. Staff offered a different room. When we turned on the light, roaches scattered in that room. Digusting and would never stay there again. I will be reaching out to Comfort Suites corporate because manager did nothing.

The room was fine. We had to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. Breakfast didn’t start till 6…they made fresh coffee for us!

The sign to turn in the property from the feeder was extremely difficult to understand as you are going down the I45 feeder road at 40-45 mph. You basically think you are turning into Mia's House restaurant and drive back to the hotel. Beds were a bit hard and not as comfortable as they could have been. AC set at 71 was a bit Cold and at 72 it got stuffy so we went with cold.

Room was extremely humid when we got there. We found a roach in the bathtub. The mattress that was in the pull out couch was covered in pee stains. Breakfast taste could have been better.

Friendly staff, clean property and well-maintained. Good location and for the price was an amazing deal. Breakfast buffet had plenty of good tasting and fresh offerings. Coffee and water was provided to guests around the clock. Also, a nice walking path, around a retention pond, adjacent to the property.

FIRST ROOM HAD A WATER LEAK BLOW THE SINK WE WERE MOVED UPSTAIRS TO ANOTHER ROOM OK THEN

Went to see a concert at the Woodlands Pavilion. Great place to stay if you’re going to a show. Just a few minutes away from the pavilion. Overall, nice clean hotel.

When it started raining the water leaked through the fire sprinklers hole and the window all into our room & the staff came in with towels and a bucket, didn't offer a room change.

Hot tub does not work, per the man at the counter, it is been out since last season and yet to be fixed. Some lights in our room flickered leaving a poorly lit room. Tub faucet made a horrible noise when turning on/off and the tub itself had very poor drainage. Ice machine did not work. Both mornings, I had to find and notify staff the most of the breakfast items were empty and needed to be refilled.

Executive and very well located

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, housekeeping left trash in the room and didn't refill the shower supplies. The breakfast had watery fake eggs and tiny biscuits.

Hotels doesn't even know the nqme.of this hotel. They changed names 3 years ago. Very confusing

Greg was excellent as were the rest of the staff! Property is in a quiet back section off the main service road so not as much noise! Pool is clean, hot tub is warm and the morning breakfast was better than most I’ve had!

The gentleman working the front desk was exceptional and his customer service was outstanding. Probably the only good thing going for the property and why we gave it a chance. The lobby, elevators, and hallways need updates and a good cleaning. Entering the room, same vibes; they need updates. The bathtub in our room was halfway filled with water. It wasn’t a special request or very welcoming. The receptionist at the front desk said the faucet leaks and they are supposed to check the tub every other day to ensure the drain plug isn’t down. We requested a new room as we weren’t sure the last time the tub had been cleaned. The next room, no drain plug for the tub and there were used bandaids on the wall. We quickly exited the room and requested a refund for our stay. We aren’t the type of family who requires the nicest hotels around. We want comfortable and clean. Outdated doesn’t bother us. But we couldn’t allow our young children to stay in a place we didn’t feel safe or clean.

I love the fact that they had daily cleaning staff, hot breakfast, a pool, several dolly's, and an easier check in and out. The staff was friendly professional, helpful, and nice.

Bed was comfy!! We brought our own Keirog so didn’t have to use their coffee maker. It was never noisy when we went to sleep so didn’t hear other people.

Everything was fine except the pillows. Why is it they think if they fold the pillows in a square and stuff the ends inside and give us MORE square deflated pillows it will suffice? They are still terrible. I went out and bought 2 REAL pillow from Costco. Slept better the next 3 days. I’m sure the housekeepers wondered “what am I supposed to do with this”?

The staff service is very good. The biggest issue we had was the overall cleanliness and maintenance on the property. In our room we found roaches (dead) and questionable stains on the bedding and headboard. Restroom is semi clean. You could smell the strong odor of marijuana when you go into the first floor hallway. Some of the guest were sketchy. Definitely not the same since they were bought out by comfort inn. I unfortunately will not be bringing my family back to this hotel on the next visit.

There was a cockroach running around on the bathroom floor when we walked in. Someone’s hair hanging from the faucet in the shower- the beds were comfortable though

In all honesty I don't really know how to rate this. Room was in ok condition. Floors were warped and had weird bumps. Staff was very friendly and nice. Big problem is that there was a single roach that we had during our stay. I killed it and brought it to the staffs attention. They moved us into another room and we didn't have any additional incidents.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. The room was nice, I slept wonderfully in the bed, breakfast was great and they had it ready earlier than the posted time which was great because we had an early morning. The staff is very helpful. My trip was great! I am from Wisconsin came down to visit my mom for her birthday and they treated us very well, breakfast was amazing really clean and smelled very nice like I was walking into my own home and to top it off I loveee the mini gifts❤️❤️❤️

We discovered bed bugs in our bed when we woke up in the morning. We immediately checked out and spoke to the front desk, where the manager apologized and agreed to give us a refund. I am glad I took pictures. This has never happened to us before. I know that it can be a random situation, but we came out of there all itching and could not leave fast enough. If Expedia would not allow the refund, the hotel would honor a one-night stay elsewhere and a different time.

No shower, got a knock at door after being in room for awhile and it was maintenance to “install” the hand held shower snake on wall by a suction cup. It sid not stay and by morning both hose, shower wand, and a apparatus to hold hand held shower head was laying inside tub. There was gross black hairs in tub area upon our arrival . The flooring and baseboards around bathtub where severely damaged from what looks like water flooding. There was red paint bleeding through on wall above bed which at a glance looked like blood splatter. Staff was nice, because was typical not anything spectacular. They were out of bacon. Will not stay here again.

We stayed at this property to attend a concert at the Cynthia Woods pavilion. It’s very close to the venue and convenient offering breakfast in the morning. Overall, it was a good stay. We will definitely use it again.

This hotel is great. I have stayed multiple times for extended periods, and the staff and hotel itself is great. Everything you need is close and convenient. 5 Stars.

Staff friendly. Dirty visible mold in bathroom. Absolutely not worth the $115 a night. We should have stayed at Hampton Inn which is $130 a night. We’ve stayed at Hampton Inn every time we come to woodlands and it is immaculate every time, it is as full this time. Comfort suites should have been $30 a night not $115. Definitely do not recommend, I do not consider myself picky and I rarely leave a comment, however I want to warn y’all.

They are very friendly. The place is decent. Not great but not terrible either. The hot tub has never been hot. The pool was dirty. All in all, not too bad though.

Had to sleep without blankets cause the air conditioning didn’t work that good. Bed was not that comfortable. Made a reservation and when I got there was told they didn’t have my room available. Then told me he would give me two room which would have split me n kids up. I asked him what the point of a reservation was if they didn’t have my room readily available. He then said “let me see what I can do” and he had a room for us.

The room had bugs. Hair in tub and the tub drain broke grandson could not take bath toilet seat dirty. Fridge dirty. Very poor cleaning job.

It is an older hotel but I would stay again just based off of customer service.

We enjoyed our stay. We stayed one night for a basketball tournament. The hotel is a bit dated but very clean and the staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the lemon water in the lobby and the breakfast was nice.

This is a nice quiet hotel with great staff. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included and great options. The only issue I had was the actual floor on the third floor. In the room and in the hall, was really bad. It was concerning how hilly the floor is. I would stay here every trip to Houston except for the floor.

Ok experience but VERY disappointed that i was not informed of the major refurbishment happening and it meant me and my family were not able to have breakfast for neither of the mornings we stayed. There must be a better communication between the hotel and Expedia and a discount rate offered upon the option to still select the accommodation.

Love this hotel. I have been using them since 2008 for a place to stay during conference time for the Methodist church.

Our stay was extremely pleasant. Staff were very willing to help and please us. Only thing but this is me the beds are very firm. My husband and grandson loved them. I opened and used the sleeper couch. I was very comfortable. Would stay there again.

Hotel was clean, quiet and friendly but our ADA room was not very handicap accessible especially for someone in a wheelchair. Other than the automatic entry door, the rest of the room was no different than a regular room. There wasn’t very much room to negotiate turning around in a wheelchair or getting in and out of the bathroom. Shower was a tub and not a roll in so the shower was not accessible either.

DO NOT STAY HERE unless you wish to be woken by fire alarms at 3am!!!! This is an ongoing problem according to the fire department that responded to the alarm. The fireman told us that upper management refuses to fix the problem. No compensation was given to anyone after being woken two nights in a row at 3am.

Tv remote needs batteries 7. Icemaker out on 3rd floor, none on 2nd floor, had to walk downstairs to 1st floor because elevator is slow Desk clerk was mannerable. Hotel needs updating It’s not the Comfort Inn I remember years ago and I won’t be staying here again.

I had just had surgery and I needed to stay until the next day. We were done by 11am. I asked to check in early and I was able to. That was very convenient! I really appreciated that.

Upon initial entry, we noticed the bathroom smelled funny. Perhaps not cleaned.

Our stay came about when our other reservation we ended due to the location and our safety. This location was in a better location close to the Woodlands and other restaurants. It was tucked behind a restaurant so it was initially difficult to locate. Each front desk person we encountered was super nice. The cleaning staff were quiet and helpful. Our rooms were clean but just older condition. The beds were VERY comfortable and the black out blinds were AMAZING. It was overall an okay stay for a couple. I would not book if a family stay.

Every employee that we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We were there for a soccer tournament, and the location of the hotel was excellent, multiple restaurants to choose from, also a nearby Walmart. We will stay there again for our next trip.

This was a decent stay for us I don’t have any complaints. The staff were nice and friendly. The room was clean. There was a slight odor to the room like an old smell but nothing unbearable. Good location with plenty of food options available nearby. Getting into the parking lot was kind of confusing because it sits right behind a restaurant and you have to enter the restaurant’s lot to get to the hotel. This was great for the short stay that we needed. We would possibly book here again.
