Royal Samaja Villas

Easily located near shops and restaurants. The Kasava restaurant is great food and reasonably priced. Disappointing Stay Due to Ongoing Major Construction – Not the Peaceful Retreat Advertised We were genuinely excited about our stay at Royal Samaja Villas, having chosen it based on promises of a private, peaceful villa experience in the heart of Seminyak. Unfortunately, our experience was severely impacted by extensive and intrusive construction works that neither the property nor Booking.com disclosed prior to our arrival, and are still not disclosing. There is major construction taking place directly adjacent to the villas, operating seven days a week from dawn well into the evening—and at times even through the night. This is not a minor inconvenience; it involves an enormous crane overlooking the supposedly “private” villa pools and multiple workers on scaffolding with direct visibility into guest areas. For villas numbered 1, 3, 5, and 7 and 9 (our room) in particular, workers were quite literally on the roofs above us, just meters away, destroying any sense of seclusion. The constant noise, lack of privacy, and heavy construction presence made relaxation impossible. We felt misled, as the accommodation is still being marketed and charged at full price as a quiet and tranquil retreat—when the reality is quite the opposite. Despite repeated complaints to both villa staff and Booking.com, no meaningful solution was provided until the end of our fourth night, when we were offered an alternate room at 11pm. The new villa was less exposed, which helped restore some privacy, though the noise persisted. While the staff remained polite throughout, no form of compensation or proactive assistance was offered. We were left to feel that our concerns were being tolerated, rather than truly heard or addressed. Prospective guests should be aware that this construction is significant and will likely continue for at least six more months. If you’re looking for a relaxing, private villa stay—this is not currently the right choice.

The swimming pool area could do with an update, it was clean but getting old , also the pool is at 150cm deep throughout which was a problem for my 5 ft partner, for a plunge pool it's too deep. Needs more hanging space for clothes

This is easily one of the most conveniently placed hotels I've ever stayed in. Everything is within walking distance, whether it be to eat, to shop, to swim or to party. The rooms features a big comfy bed and a spacious bathroom, making us feel very comfortable. The outdoor area was also perfect for relaxing by our private pool. The staff were checking in on us and greeting us every day, making our stay even better.

Amazing over all, good walking distance to restaurants and stores, the receptionist “Aris” was very helpful with guiding us with all the things to do in Seminyak streets. The fact that it was not “private” as there was a construction site views the whole villa

The villa was exceptional and had everything as described. It was large in size as was the pool. All the staff were wonderful, very efficient and welcoming. The restaurant served excellent food and there was no need to leave the villa if you chose not to. Heaps of shopping and restaurants were a short walk away. Taxis were plentiful and the villa can also help with tours and activities. Loved our stay. If we come back we would stay again. Construction is happening on the adjoining property meant builders noise during the day.

Plumbing had a smell to it but that’s not something I really care about but something other people might find off putting.

The location was fantastic, 5 minutes short walk to Seminyak village, restaurants and the shopping belt. Staff were all very polite, and the lady receptionist Santi was very good, quick to respond to my queries. There is also Netflix in the room, which you can connect to, that is a plus. I like The Kasava resto in the villa, was very convenient, service staffs were all very happy and warm, food and drinks were delicious and breakfast is always yummy, the coffee art is very very pretty. The mosquitoes were a little too much, housekeeping solve it quickly with mosquito coils, but there were still very strong mosquitos. Best to bring more mosquito patches and sprays.

They did an excellent job arranging a happy honeymoon swimming pool decoration for us. They had a drone guy to film it. The pool water could be clearer.

Complimentary pickup from airport was awesome and a very easy check in at 9.30pm. Onsite Restaurant was open so we were able to have a delicious meal and drinks. Villa was spotlessly clean, bathroom huge and bed very comfy. Nice quiet environment and an easy walk to Seminyak Square etc. Pool was lovely and staff were delightful. Breakfast had loads of choices and all were yummy. Many thanks. The sofa and chair on our terrace were not comfortable for us but everything else was great.

From the moment we arrived at Samaja Villas we knew we had picked the right accommodation. We were greeted so warmly by the concierge and this would then flow through to every member of staff we encountered. Our villa was wonderful. ( Villa 6 ) We entered into an open plan lounge/dining area that looked out (accessed ) onto the pool. There was a large fridge with beer, wine and soft drinks and snacks ( at a cost ). Free tea and coffee. Dining table and sofa and chair. Very comfortable. Our bedroom was very spacious. A king bed with a large day bed to the side. Tv. Excellent air con. Through to a hugh bathroom with a lovely sized bath. From there you accessed your outdoor shower and a second access to the pool and two sun loungers. Pool towels were provided. All toiletries were provided. We had our room and pool cleaned every day, often done while we had an excellent breakfast in the attached restaurant. We also had an evening meal there which was great. ( You can have the meals in your room if you wish) We were a 5 minute walk to Seminyak Square Shopping Centre. Overall I can't speak highly enough of our stay and we will be back. All the staff really were a highlight to the holiday. Thankyou.

I think the setvice of this hotel is top-notch! The staff were all very friendly and quick to attend to all our needs and queries. We had an early flight the following day, but they still made sure we got our breakfast ready to grab in a takeaway box that day! The villas were also very clean!
