Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, particularly the beds and pillows. The hotel's location and breakfast are also frequently praised. However, the property is often described as old and in need of updates, with some guests reporting issues such as dirty rooms, malfunctioning appliances, and unpleasant smells. The staff's service is inconsistent, with some guests praising their friendliness and others finding them unprofessional or unhelpful.
- Clean and comfortable rooms with good beds and pillows

- Property is old and in need of updates
- Inconsistent service from staff

It had everything especially a basketball goal
- 4.5/5
The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel was in good condition and easy to find, as well as well located and connected to San Antonio. Finally, the staff were lovely and the breakfast was good - the allergen information was particularly useful. Nothing of note.

- 3.5/5
Good size of bed and love the kitchen part. Unfortunately there was 1 roach in the entrance inside our room but we did killed it. There was also a musty smell in the room which I think its just the building overall is old and an old leak on top of the ceiling may have contributed the smell. Probably recommend to start updating the tv. Very outdated. Water is also very hard.
- 3/5
Peaceful, clean, and affordable Shower did not work well. Very little pressure and inconsistent water flow.
- 2/5
Inside the room was spacious and kitchenette and beds appeared clean. I could not enter the first room assigned, reassigned a room. which door worked on first try. Signs of significant aging on bathroom door, I stepped on a piece of glass shard in bathroom. Pool was not available.
- 2/5
The pool was not available and staff did not notify me of this at check in or on the website.

I like the convenience of the location. It was very close to several restaurants and grocery stores. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and appreciative. I thought the front desk staff could have been a little more friendly when I checked in. I was also just made to learn that although I had requested and I know it was just a request for a ground floor room with the pups, they put me on the top and far from the elevator.

The location There were small cockroaches in the room and we were moved to another room right away. The night clerk was very nice and told me to speak with the manager in the morning. Following day I spoke with day morning clerk to tell the manager my situation and she just said "oh that's ok. It's good" and never called.the manager to come. Second room also.had cockroaches and took pics. I told.the clerk when I checked out. He just apologized

Cons: furniture is old, restroom running water and saw several roaches inside room. I complained n staff helped.

Room barely clean. Blood smeared on closet door, roaches, gnats.

The deposit really has to change to being abel to pay cash, because the room was already paid 5 weeks in advance and to be abel to get your deposit right away would be good.

Great stay! We arrived on a Friday and left Sunday morning. We booked a queen suite and it was just the right amount of space for 2 of us. Would highly recommend this property if you are wanting to stay away from downtown and don’t want to break the bank. The hotel was very clean and staff at the front desk were helpful. Breakfast was great and a lot of seating. Over all 10/10
- 5/5
Such a nice room. There's a small stove top, dishes, and more for your visit. The rooms are nice. Beds are comfy. Love this place.
- 3/5
Need better pillow. No extra blankets for the sofa
- 4/5
I dont know why, but the toliet was VERY short. And apparently that type is used throughout a lot of the area of the hotel. I did not order a handicap room, but that type is extremly unhelpful to anyone, in my opinion, with no bars to help rise up. And men better have a better aim than they usually would have to have.
- 4/5
Check-in went quickly and the room was well-cooled when i entered it. The property is slightly shabby but clean. The price was right and it was quiet and peaceful even though it’s a block from the interstate. The breakfast offering was diverse, tasty and well-presented. Kudos to the staff person who prepared and tended to the breakfast area.

Hotel is dated and could use some upgrades. Curtains were shredded and walls are thin. Other than thaT, it’s a decent place to stay on a budget.
- 5/5
Great clean place to stay.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and mostly comfortable. The bed was a bit soft for me, but the wife liked it. We had to turn off the AC and turn on the heater for a bit since someone had set it to 64 degrees. The room was able to be controlled to the temperature we preferred after that. While the elevator, as noted by others, is small, it is still big enough to fit me, my wife in her wheel chair, our various luggage, and still had room available for other guests. Other than the bed, the only problem we had was that the hair dryer was not working. I did let the staff know about it during checkout. Overall, we would stay here again if in the area.
- 3/5
Everything was good just loud noise at night in the wall i guess pipe was loud keep me up and a/c was off sometime and hard sleep comfortably from time . And windows didn't really have good sun block view you work up with sun in your eyes.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and kind. My son loved the basketball court as well.

I had a 5 day stay at the hotel from a Sunday to Friday. On the Wednesday of my stay the hotel shut off the water for 8 hours from 11a to 7p. I was told at first when I called the front desk it was going to be turned back on at 2p. Then 2p came and they said another 30 minutes then I went to the front desk at 3p they claimed another 30 minutes. I asked 5 times and got the run around. I couldn’t use the restroom, shower and the front desk supervisor Carmain said she was sorry the inconvenience and that the manager April said she can give 15% discount for the day. I spoke to April on the day of check out and she was rude, so when I said she was going to get a low rating review she just shrugs her shoulders and says it is what it is. I would recommend going to another hotel than choosing Sonesta International hotel at this location. Don’t waste your time. 15% off for being without water practically the majority of the day is an embarrassment, Sonesta International hotel DO BETTER, hire employees that know how to take care of their guests I stead of being rude and shrugging off the issue that affected the whole hotel.

Clean room, kind staff, breakfast
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly, rooms were clean everything worked.
- 2/5
This place not going to lie sucked first they put me in a room that shower didn’t work then they moved me far far to another room when I told them I recently just had a surgery it was the worst I wouldn’t go back and that’s cus first time I came here it was awesome not anymore
- 2/5
We had four leaks in our room during the storm on Saturday evening. One over our bed, sofa, living area and window. Have had previous great experiences in this hotel but this was unacceptable.
- 5/5
The facility is situated of a major highway, but tucked away from the noise. We were well greeted and accommodated. Beds were comfortable. The space was clean, quiet and comfortable. Our only drawback was they my husband was unable to shower since he was unable to step into the tub. Breakfast had many healthy and varied choices and the attendant was very friendly and helpful, plenty of protein choices. We would stay again.

Property lost hot water pressure for a few weeks prior to us checking in and when I mentioned it at check in, front desk stated that most rooms are are fixed and vacant rooms are continuing to fix the problem was not fixed

Always a pleasure to stay here. Definitely will come back.
- 4/5
When taking a shower the water pressure was very poor and didnt had hot water. We had too take a cup and were pouring water too rinse off the shampoo. We noticed very small roaches in the kitchen counter
- 5/5
We got the one room that had two rooms if that makes sense lol! Having the separate bedrooms was perfect for three adults and four kids. We all had our own space. Each bedroom had its own bedroom and toilet. I loved the kitchenette. It came with dishes, pots, pans, soap, sponges, everything you need.
- 5/5
Love this place, super cozy and the best breakfast!
- 2/5
There was no hot water in the hotel. We stayed two nights. Had to use cold water.
- 2/5
This Hotel in not worth the money spent. Room are outdated. The lobby looks current. The elevator needs work. The toilet in our room was the size for a toddler. Seriously. I just used the restroom while i was out. The breakfast on the weekends start at 7. It says buffet but it just a standard Hotel breakfast they all serve.
- 5/5
Only thing is my truck got broken in 😐 so be careful & we literally parked in front of office and no one saw anything other then that everything else was great
- 4/5
Room getting old, closet doors damaged, bathroom door knob damage, other than that very good area to stay and Hotel still fine
- 3/5
I had to wait about an hour and a half after check in time because my room was not ready. When we did get our key cards they didn’t work. I thought housekeeping cleans the rooms daily which I found out our 2nd night that they don’t I had a pillow case that had a spot of blood on it the other had like a red cool aid stain. The door handle to get out the room was broken we had to adjust it a certain way to get out. I was not offered any credit or compensation for our wait but I was offered a complimentary snack while we waited for our room to be ready which felt insufficient given the length of the delay.
- 5/5
Clean room, attentive staff, good breakfast and easy parking.
- 3/5
Great location, rooms out of date, my microwave didn't work, and if the cleaning staff is washing linen, there is no hot water. I had to get my room key reprogrammed everyday because it would erase itself.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, convenient.
- 4/5
Property was a little outdated and some areas need work(walls, tiles). The staff and front desk were very attentive and respectful.
- 5/5
Everything was really nice! Very clean. Staff was awesome! Parking was good. I really enjoyed the courtyard area as well.
- 5/5
Terrible place to stay. Our carpet was filthy. There was a terrible smell of sewer. Our shower had mold and hair on the drain. When I sat on the chair there were screws poking out from it. Will never stay here again.
- 5/5
It was nice
- 5/5
The staff are very friendly. Love that the room is Spacious with a kitchen.
- 2/5
We've stayed here before and the first time was amazing and this second time i can't say the same. The room we got was not in good condition. Microwave had rust around it and didn't really want to use it. The room just gave a dirty feeling.
- 5/5
Best place to stay with family
- 3/5
The Staff was nice and the area was quiet.
- 2/5
Old very outdated but nice they offer bedrroms the one downtown sanantio is much better
- 4/5
Laundry room was not working. The property seems a little old and worn down but the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was decent and the staff working the buffet were friendly.
- 5/5
Not working....
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh. The people at the front desk are friendly and welcoming.
- 2/5
Very kind staff but we had fringe, curtain and water issues. Hotel needs lots of refurbishing. Keys didn’t work and had to go to front desk 5 times for a 2 night stay. Someone in our party also had a room in which the door would open without a key and couldn’t be fixed.
- 5/5
Everything was nice! Staff was very friendly! Nola was very sweet and attentive!
- 5/5
I slept comfortably, the room was very clean and the staff was very nice. The shower was nice and hot, the shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower smelled very nice. I loved the extra lighting and all the extra movie channels! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
- 5/5
The room were very nice and spacious.
- 5/5
The room was great and ample. The front staff was friendly and hospitable.
- 5/5
As a decent gym that no one uses from when I was there, it’s quiet. The staff are pleasant. Parking is nice overall good experience.
- 5/5
I didn't use the Internet but the room was clean the staff were super friendly and helpful. They had breakfast tacos, pancakes, fruit, cereal, juices, teas, and coffees available.

- 5/5
Everything about the hotel was excellent.I enjoyed my stay there.I highly recommend.
- 5/5
Staff, clean rooms and customer service.
- 3/5
This was my first time staying here. Conditioned of hotel was very good. I thought the walls were very thin, I could live with it until someone over my room had their Tv so loud, after 11 I started calling downstairs to complain. It took an hour or more to finally quiet down. The breakfast hours end a bit early. But besides that the staff was great.
- 3/5
It’s was a decent cheap stay. (Quite) But the pool is always full of leaves and cloudy. Ice machine didn’t work and either did the laundry room,my washing machine leaked water when on and it took 2 day to come fix it!
- 5/5
The staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was delicious@ And it was affordable! Highly recommend!!
- 2/5
roaches
- 3/5
The toilet was clogged & water came out from bottom of toilet. Door was missing a small knob so my mom who is 86 had a hard time opening sliding door. Breakfast was from 6:30-8:30 am.
- 5/5
Perfect quiet accomodation. Very nice staff at the front desk
- 5/5
Nice location, friendly staff, rooms were good
- 3/5
Staff was courteous, but check in was a long wait and the TV did not work.

Staff very friendly and accommodating!

Very rude staff. Cobwebs everywhere and bed sheets were dirty. Loud and smelled of smoke
- 5/5
Arrived early, and they were accommodating. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
The staff was great. The room was awesome.
- 4/5
I would have submitted an excellent however enspit of me asking for the room to be cleaned no one came the day i scheduled it. I stayed over 4 days and still the room wasn't serviced.
- 5/5
Breakfast was fresh. Pancake machine cooks them fresh
- 5/5
The best thing was the room. Full kitchen with fridge, stove, dishwasher, etc. It was clean and plenty of space for two people. The staff was happy and helpful.
- 5/5
the room have plenty space, but the key room dont work.
- 3/5
It was a good deal for the week we stayed there but definitely a "get what you pay for" experience. The rooms definitely could use a renovation, or even just some upgrades (for example, the TVs were small and old). Also breakfast ends pretty early (8:30). Probably fine for their normal business clients, but for vacation it was a bummer. Nothing was bad, but nothing was really great either.
- 3/5
The eggs were horrible, pancake machinewas out of batter, the apple and orange juice I would believe from concentrate, tasted like apple and orange water. The outside door at the end of the hallway going to the parking lot had a sign that said, door to remain locked at all times, it had no lock. Even though the room has an refrigerator with an ice maker, I feel like the hotel should have a ice maker in the open areas.
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet area, though they would start to clean up morning buffet about half an hour before it was set to close.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet room
- 3/5
The room was very run down, the refrigerator was leaking water all in the inside and the outside was all stained as well as the microwave. Definitely needs some updating. I had asked for the room to be cleaned twice and they never came I was told to just put my trash and dirty towels in the hall. We were there for 4 days so I was expecting some service to the rooms and got zero. Probably won’t chose this location again.
- 4/5
Everything was good but the card scanner on the door was a bit buggy and took a bit to open but besides that a good hotel overall
- 5/5
I'm a returning customer. Sonesta ES Medical Center is always my first choice when I'm in San Antonio. The staff is friendly, Its quite, the rooms are clean, and the beds are perfect for a good night sleep.👌 😴
- 5/5
Good basic bacon and eggs. The pancake machine was great.
- 3/5
Check-in was difficult because of system malfunction but staff was courteous and room was excellent.
- 2/5
The room was okay but couldn't wash and dry my clothes, cold water in the kitchen, refrigerator wasn't cold enough, no service to clean your rooms

- 4/5
Con: Humble breakfast.
- 3/5
Room not very clean. Torn bedclothes. My room was never cleaned. Old smelly elevator. Staff was lazy. Wasted money/rewards I could have used anywhere else
- 5/5
All good thank you.
- 5/5
It was a good facility, highly recommended
- 2/5
The room was very disappointing from the appearance of the room to the cleanliness. The floor was moist, the furniture was stained & torn, the bathrrom mirrors were dirty or maybe wiped with a dirty rag, there was half used lotion bottles left for us to use instead of replinished with new bottle. But when we first arrived at our room we notice the door to the room looked as if it had been tampered with as if someone had tried to break in to the room. There was a gap in the door & it did not close all the way for privacy. But what worried me was that the top lock did not catch & did not lock properly. I went to the front desk & they sent a very nice maintenance person who fixed it quickly. We only stayed 2 nights & didnt spend much time there other than to sleep so we endured the short stay. However this is a place id never consider again. The exterior was nice as qas the lobby & staff we encountered. The beds were comfortable & the bedding was clean. Its not a place for a family getaway & id certainly not recommend to single female travelers.

The room was clean and spacious, and I enjoyed one of the best, most restful nights I’ve had. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were wonderful throughout our stay. This is one of the best pet-friendly hotels I’ve experienced. I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again.
- 3/5
I was in room #225. My fridge did not work. The card reader on the door sucked, and the toilet was leaking on the sides. I told them when I left and they didn't seem to care.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
Free parking
- 2/5
I have been staying here since covid. No issues until this past weekend. We arrived to our refrigerator down. Food was ruined. Front desk person was rude when asking for assistance for maintenance. If that was not bad enough, rear tail gate lights were stolen from truck literally right in front of the hotel. Security guard is no longer there due to new management . I guess service went out the door as well. Manager was so kind to refund a night due to food replacement but this experience was not good at all.
- 5/5
Great stay while I was in San Antonio. The receptionists were very friendly. Breakfast was a great selection of food from 7-9 AM. I'll be adding this location to my preferred list of hotels in San Antonio for the future.
- 3/5
The toilet in my room was about 12 inches of the floor. Almost had to get on knees to use it, when I asked to change room I was told that all the toilets were the same. The door handle to my room was just hanging from the door and to open the door I had to play with it to be able to open the door, I asked to get it fix on the first day ,we stayed 7 days and it was never fixed. The shear curtain in my room were all ripped. The room has a full size refrigerator all rusted really disgusting. Found a roach in the room. Front desk first shift employee not very friendly. No,I do not recommend and I won't be coming back.
- 1/5
Upon arrival, my wife and I checked our bed like we do at all hotels. Pulled back the cover to find a red/brownish stain on our sheet. So my wife called down to the front office to get new bedding . After 40 minutes the front desk guy arrived with clean bedding, everything was in the new bedding instead of the fitted sheet that we need. So I called down to the front desk to let them know there was no fitted sheet in new bedding. He told us to come down to get the sheet. My wife went down to get the correct size sheet. We started to make the bed to realize it is the wrong size sheet, but it also had a stain on it as well. When we made it to the front desk, he went to the back to get us a new clean sheet, and realized they didn't have any, so he offered us a full or a king sheet.

We have stayed here several times before over the past 2 years. The feel of the property has definitely changed recently and not in a good way. The clientele were different. It seems the low rate is drawing this different clientele. It doesn’t seem like the property owner/management is taking pride anymore. Having said that, the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Love the TV in the bedroom. The shower had a hand-held only, which was pointed at my face as I turned on the shower fun. And the shampoo and conditioner bottles were both filled with shampoo. I’ve always really liked this property and I hope they can show pride in it once again or they’ll lose a customer.
- 4/5
Yes, felt safe overall. Disposal in the kitchen not working, but wasn't an issue.

Bkfast is nasty! The power went out for 30min… cold water, smells like old place
- 4/5
Nice location, clean and quiet.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed, A/C worked well Hot shower, did not like having to go have key fixed to get back in room @ 8am which checkout is at 11 & pancake machine didn’t work. Good breakfast options. Overall good place to stay & deposit is $100 not $50 as stated when booking.
- 4/5
Toilet in our suite backed up the first night we checked in. No maintenance was available until 11am the next day. Staff moved us the next day to an upgraded room the next day but we went all night without the use of a toilet in our room. I completely disagree with having guests staying there yet not having anyone available to fix plumbing emergencies onsite. Never had this type of issue at a hotel before and I travel a lot but this was the first time at this hotel which will probably be my last because if. Have problems and I’m paying…they should have someone available. Nice staff tho
- 4/5
The room was very nice neat and clean I was very shocked although the furniture was very outdated lots of stains I didn’t utilize the living room due to that reason. Now the breakfast was amazing really great breakfast now the lady that was there setting up she didn’t look friendly and welcoming at all it’s sometimes good to see a smiling a relax face early in the am. Overall stay was great.

The hotel is outdated. We could hear people talking outside in the parking lot while staying on the second floor bedroom. A part of the wall near the bathroom tub needed repairs on hardened paint bubbles

Cleanliness is impressive
- 3/5
Definitely liked the access to a full kitchen. Made great meals and saved money.
- 4/5
Clean, cozy, and convenient.
- 5/5
Overall stay was awesome. Room was clean and bed was comfortable too.
- 5/5
A good stay
- 1/5
There were fleas in my first room. As we were walking towards the elevator we continued to get bitten by fleas which means they’re all over the second floor. It was disgusting.
- 3/5
Okay so i didnt know it was a 100 dollars security deposit and i had to go add money to a card because they didnt take cash as it. Then the pool was down the whole stay i was there so wasnt able to get into the pool. I like the room but the way they had the t.v set up was not right because iwe wasnt able to watch t.v at alll without moving it to face us which was crazy by the way. I had to go ask for two pillows 😩.
- 2/5
I guess I had high hopea because I recently stayed in an Austin location and very pleased. This doesn't compare at all. The room was okay. Shower could have been a little cleaner. The icemaker in the refrigerator didn't work so I asked the front desk for an ice machine and was informed it was in my room. He looked at me in disbelief when I said it didn't work. He didn't offer any solution. I asked could I possibly get some. He acted like it was an inconvenience but he got me some. The breakfast was the absolute worst I've ever had. There wasn't much of a selection and what was available made my husband and I very sick. Needless to say I will never stay at this location in San Antonio again.
- 4/5
Nice room. Didn't get the upgrade I was offered and accepted. Waited for 20 minutes for someone to show up the the desk so I could check in
- 4/5
The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious. My only complaints were that the one elevator they have is extremely slow, the handle from the tub was loose so the water dripped all night, and the body wash in the shower was empty when we arrived. Our phone in our room wasn’t working so my husband had to go down to the front desk. They did give us two mini body washes at front desk when we asked if they could refill it. This was our second time staying here, and while it’s nice, we probably won’t stay again.
- 5/5
Great job
- 3/5
Large room with a separate sitting room and a full kitchen. Ideal for a large family looking to stay in one room. Decent breakfast with oatmeal and pan cakes. Big minus was pool was unavailbale. A big no no on a hot summer day. This dropped my rating considerably.
- 1/5
The housekeeping service is terrible. It is said that with a stay of 7 nights or more they give you the service and I had a 7-night stay and the housekeeping never came to clean the room, the smell of marijuana in the hallways is terrible, the facilities are falling apart, the bathroom is moldy and even the paint is falling off, there are cockroaches, it's not a nightmare, the simple OK but the cleaning is terrible and all the time the access card to the room is giving problems and also everything can be heard and the smell of when they are making breakfast comes out through the air ducts and the whole hallway smells like I'm making breakfast, I will not return to this place and I do not recommend it.
- 5/5
I really was happy when i went to eat 15 min before they closed and the food staff was patient with us elderly people who are slow.

Right off I-10, close to downtown and great continental breakfast.
- 5/5

Easy to navigate to other places. Helpful staff
- 5/5
perfect
- 4/5
A good value for money suites to stay. Although it could have been better if there was water provided to all rooms, at least when checking in. The corridor had a weird smell that was there round the clock. Otherwise, a good place to stay.
- 4/5
Hotel nice. Arrived 2:00. Would not let in room before 4:00 without charging $30 fee. Not way to get started after traveling 19 hours
- 5/5
I was very thankful to have a place with a great price closer to the north side of town. It helped be closer to my family and events going on for a price below 90 bucks!! Thank you!!
- 4/5
We tried to wash a load of clothes, but none of the dryers worked. We bought $100 worth of ribeyes to cook on the 4th of July, only to be told their grill was out of propane and wouldn't be refilled until the following day, which meant we had to apend another $60 for a small grill. Having the sink and full size fridge was extremely nice, however, a LOT of our food was ruined by the thousands of sugar ants that invaded the kitchen one night. (Pics included) tje ants got into everything we had, that wasn't in the fridge!! It was nice having 2 separate bedrooms/bathrooms, which allowed our family to stay together. Other than that, tje stay was just okay.

Blvery very clean place and friendly staff

We needed a last minute place to stay after a family member ended up in the hospital. Front desk was friendly but as soon as we made our way down the hall to the elevator we knew there would be a problem as the halls were stained and smelled terrible. Our room smelled like mildew and cigarettes. Our furniture was stained and dirty. After removing the covers on one of the beds we noticed an old candy wrapper under the blankets. I removed the sheets to examine for any other trash and noticed bed bugs lining the seam of the mattress. I went into the other bedroom and noticed bedbugs lining the seams of another mattress. We immediately grabbed the belongings we brought up to the room and requested to be checked out and refunded which was promptly done. The gentleman at the front desk was polite and apologized. The photos are not what the hotel looks like. We will not be staying here again.

Nice place. Clean

Over all stay was good but the elevator's botton got jammed and the elevator looked like it needed a tune-up anyways. Staff was very helpful and nice. The room was comfy and clean.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The beds were very comfortable. I will stay here again when I visit San Antonio again. Staff are very friendly.

Room was clean and A/C worked. Breakfast was typical for the price. Coffee at breakfast was better than I expected. Price was reasonable.

Everything was great! Will be my go to place to stay when visiting

We’ll be back soon!

Excellent stay

1st night we had ants in the kitchen, moved us to another suite. The fridge was gross, covered with old food stains on the outside. Dining table, chairs and couch cushions were really dirty. We laid towels down before sitting. Night stand was not clean, could see old drink stains. 2nd night fire alarms went off from 10:30pm until 12:35am. No other hotels could accommodate since it was memorial weekend. Stairwell walls were so dirty covered in drink spills. Manager was very nice and understanding tried to make it up. Breakfast was good. Next time will consider somewhere else due to wanting more cleanliness.

The staff was friendly and the environment was nice

Great hotel! Our room had to separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. Quite and comfortable stay!
- 5/5
I like that it has the feeling of home.

Day shift manager needs to go back to Hotel and Hospitality training. He is just a pupit to the owners greed for money. They have no clue that they are in the service business
- 2/5
There were small ants in the bathroom, bedroom and living room every day that I was there for 3 days.the fire alarm went off at 1040pm last night and The staff had no idea how to shut it off and declined fire department assistance so we had to call 911 to get the fire department over and they could not shut off the alarm so they had to call a tech from the security company just to come over and shut the alarm off and this lasted about two and a half hours...

I arrived late in the evening so took me a minute to figure out the parking but when I made it in I was greeted by a very pleasantly helpful young man. The hotel is long and skinny so a little like a maze but the room was exceptionally clean and big. I was traveling alone and I felt safe the whole time. Will definitely stay again.

Second time here. It's nice for a hotel and feels more comfortable than other hotels
- 5/5
It was safe and quiet staying hotel. I really like the service they provided especially the breakfast condental.
- 1/5
We found a blood stain on our sheets. We were offered a different room but we decided to go to another hotel instead. Also the hallways smelt like smoke even though it said non smoking.
- 5/5
Second time we stay there I personally really like it as well as my kids
- 4/5
It was a family trip for the weekend. Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
- 5/5
This is the best spot in San Antonio for a quiet night and basically the top of line amenities you would need. Great spot for extended stay.
- 3/5
It was ok. Service was lacking and not friendly (except for one guy). Needed bedding for sofa couch, phones don’t work to call front desk. So we go down and all they do is hand us a bunch of things. Next day asked for fresh towels before we left for the day. Came back and still nothing. Halls smelled like pot. Told front desk and all I got was “oh well”.
- 4/5
Ok everything
- 3/5
Beds were clean, rooms and furniture need updating. Noisy guests in unit above- I had to call front desk to deal with them. Basic breakfast
- 5/5
I liked that it has a full fridge with a stove top. Really spacious room with a comfortable bed.

We found out till after that they confused my brothers and my room. My room key kept giving issues and they double charged my card. I paid when i got to the hotel and was told i was good and saw the charge on my card app. Then when checking out another person told me my "card did not register correctly last time" so they made me pay again. My card now has a double charge and the receptionist said i "should get the first charge back but if they dont i have to call back to get my refund". The inconvenience of the whole situation on my funds during a trip has left me only giving 1 star.
- 4/5
Overall good but there was malfunctioning fridge inside the room and a few spots in the room were still dirty. Service members were friendly.
- 5/5
I came into Texas from GA with my 2 dogs and booked last minute, so the stay was comfortable and decent for a dog friendly hotel, staff was very friendly as well. Beds were comfy
- 2/5
Very nice and clean. 2 rooms in the suite are plus! Bed not too comfortable. Pillows fair to midland.
- 1/5
My room was outdated and upon arrival when checking in I wasn’t informed that I had to pay a $100 deposit. That wasn’t disclose when I booked my room with Expedia. I feel that it should have been stated it should’ve been in writing, but nevertheless, I paid it. I was told that I would get it back when I checked out my bed was very hard. My room was very cold and to top it out. The icemaker did not work. The toilet was the size to accommodate a toddler or a midget.
- 4/5
great area, but the beds were not comfortable.
- 2/5
I was in town for the Final Four and needed a comfortable place to lay my head down after a long day of work. The Sonesta served that purpose, but outside of that I wouldn't recommend staying here. I spent five nights here, and no one came to clean my room despite multiple requests. My key card stopped working five times for some reason too. It didn't even work the first time they gave it to me. The room was decently clean, and the mini-kitchen was nice. Those are pretty much the only redeeming factors.
- 3/5
The staff was friendly enough but the hotel is heavily dated. Everything is old from the carpet to ceiling. The plumbing in my room was broken, the sink took forever to drain. TVs are old and there is a serious delay after clicking options with the remote. Overall, it’s a good choice if you just need a place to lay down.

I love to stay at sonesta e s whenever I travel. This weekend is the second time I have stayed at the San. Antonio location and i can honestly say that I have finally found my hom away from home. my place.finally found

Enjoyed our stay, very clean ruins

I love this hotel! I stay there regularly and have never been disappointed!

Easy drive to downtown

Key reader didn’t work well. Maintenance unwilling to fix it because “it’s going to be replaced soon anyway”
- 5/5
This was one of the cleanest, most spacious hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff was friendly. One thing I wish I could have changed was that the first-floor hallway area near the front desk smelled like weed. Also, the walls are thin, so I could hear the baby fussing on the other side of my wall and noises from the room upstairs.
- 2/5
Leaking refrigerator, all side doors left unlocked at all hours so anyone could walk in. Blood stains on lamp shades. Main Door didn't lock properly. Shower didn't drain. Horrible experience. Unfortunately we could've find a another hotel last minute and had to pay an outrageous amount for a nasty room here. Pictures look nothing like the actual conditions of the hotel.

Great place to stay.

Their rooms have comfortable beds/pillows, and the BEST breakfasts. They serve chobani yogurt, a selection of various preparations of eggs, always have some sort of sausage or bacon, as well as freshly made pancakes and oatmeal. Amazing value
- 5/5
Good quiet place , wish there was more options for breakfast but overall had a good stay!

The room smelled like Indian food all weekend.
- 4/5
I felt safe and comfortable

Everyone is friendly but everything is old, mis matched furniture, ancient curtains and counters, broken or missing closet doors, HVAC closet sounds like a rat is living in it, grout is rusted and stained in bathroom and worse of all the toilets never stop running because the levers and chains are broken.! And the toilet seat is cracked and peeling! And maintenance said they fixed everything, lol.
- 5/5
Awesome service!
- 2/5
Not very clean, a lot of broken things, shower very nasty
- 4/5
front of parking lot for over 15 minutes and the police were NOT called. Nice. But overall it's still a nice hotel 😂 just not for quiet older disabled folks. More like a P Diddy place vibe you would notice with the looks of some of the comings and goings. The staff were absolutely nice 🙂 I will wrap up. I had parcels come and they held them for me. Friendly for the most part. 🤓They have a wonderful fireplace that wasn't lit during coldest temperatures in SA. 😩 It may work this summer eh? I asked about that 3xs

Beautiful accommodations with great service, excellent breakfast and dog friendly. A little noisy and bed was not so comfy but good parking and easy to get to. Great food recommendations. Would recommend a stay, especially for the price.
- 2/5
The staff was amazing but had problems with rooms. First room was unlocked when we went to the room, the when shutting the door almost impossible to get open. The second room the heat didn’t work and had to switch rooms again after arriving back from a concert. The third and final room was spacious but the second bedroom had black mold on the ceiling along with a large crack in the ceiling with obvious water damage, the vents were rusty and covered in mold as well.

Good location

This is an older property. It does look dated. It is clean, some room furnishings show wear and tear, and room repairs have not always been done with care. I stayed in room 229. Do not accept this room! It is next to the elevator and every time the elevator is used, you clearly hear the machinery. The room also is next to the stairwell and you can clearly hear people walking up and down the stairs. The room smells. I suspect room 329 has the same noise problems. As far as value for price, I have stayed at other properties in the area and this is one of the cheapest that is equipped with kitchenettes. It’s not bad for the price, just be aware that all rooms are not equal.
- 5/5
The property was clean, and I got the impression that it was a lot of people who's were workers who were living there.
- 5/5
Great breakfast, included.

Had everything we needed. Place is a little older and appears to have been renovated within the last few years. Overall, met all my needs for the low price.

24/7 staff available and responsive to our every need

Amenities are in need of an update . Paint face lift was poorly done . Night shift staff in need of training for feeling the guests welcomed.
