    One of the worst places to stay. Checked into a dirty room that was not cleaned. Disgusting items tapes to the bottom of the night stand, dirty cups under the bed and the staff was unapologetic and complacent. Immediately checked out and had to argue for 2 hours to get a refund.

    Kitchen was not equipped at all, smell so ugly, bathtub was clogged, cockroaches, bed was dirty too. And was charged the $100 deposit and not refunded. Nasty place to stay over all. Too bad it’s in a great location just nasty place .

    The rooms are nothing like pictures. Elevator and hallway dirty. The room elevator and hallway smells old. The only thing that was soft was the pillows. I stayed there because it was close to my testing site. I couldn’t study be loud noises and doors slamming. I will do better research.

    Affordable but not worth it. Does not include breakfast because they don’t have any other than breakfast bars. Room smelled like pee, since we entered you can smell the cooking from other rooms. Water pressure from the shower was low. Swimming pool green and dirty. Room was just picked not wiped cleaned. Dog hair on furniture as well. Just not worth it!

    When I arrived, the lady at the front desk was nice but was on FaceTime the entire time. I tried my best to stay the night but eventually left to stay somewhere else. The curtains were damaged, the sink was not entirely clean & when I got in the shower the faucet pulled out of the wall and their was still hair on the walls from the previous person. I did not mind the smell but I decided to leave once I realized I was showering in a bathroom that had not been cleaned. Once again the lady at the front was nice and helpful when I asked for a refund. This hotel would have been okay if it was cleaner.

    The room was clean, the “breakfast” was just granola bars, oat meal, coffee, and muffins so nothing actually satisfying. Also, on arrival we already PAID but they made us put a $100 deposit down, never got a receipt for it but they mentioned we should get it 2-5 days later… weird. The room also had a kitchen however the microwave didn’t work. It was also advertised they had vending machines, but they don’t. I tried to get some water from the front desk as they had a mini fridge of drinks for sale, but they were out of water…. You obviously pay for what you get. Not awful, but not great. Definitely the place if you like to be out of the hotel room.

    Room had a horrible smell, no blow dryer in room, curtain didn't close all the way, had to use clips to keep it closed, pull out couch was not clean, woke up to screaming from level above us, hallways smelled like smoke. Pictures online need to be updated because they are deceiving.

    When my husband and i checked in , everyone was so sweet so nice and VERY helpful . The place was absolutely beautiful, cozy comfy and just all around nice . 10/10 would totally stay there again . It’s an amazing place to stay and to spend time with your family

    Can’t think of anything that I can say I liked about the property. This was the first time staying at this particular hotel and I was disappointed that it did not meet my expectations. I didn’t like that it was under construction that I was not aware of. Or the fact that the place was very old and outdated, elevator was warm, place had a distinct odor that was unpleasant. Website stated fully equipped kitchen but there were no utensils, paper towels, plates, glassware or bowls in it. There weren’t any sheets for the sofa bed had to the front desk to get some. Had to put the a/c to 65 degrees to make it comfortable. Breakfast was a joke.

    I didn’t like it Formal Complaint & Request for Compensation – Extended Stay America San Antonio (Medical Center) Dear Extended Stay America Guest Relations Team, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent stay at Extended Stay America – San Antonio – Medical Center on 12/31/25 Unfortunately, my experience was unacceptable and fell well below the standards I expect from your brand. To begin, the breakfast offering was extremely limited and did not reflect what was advertised or reasonably expected. The selection consisted mainly of prepackaged items and protein bars, which was disappointing and inadequate. Throughout our stay, there were individuals loitering in the parking lot for extended periods of time. This created discomfort and raised serious concerns regarding guest safety. Additionally, when I requested additional shampoo and conditioner—since only one set was provided despite there being two guests in the room—I was met with an unprofessional and dismissive attitude from staff, which further contributed to the negative experience. Most concerning was a significant water leak in our room that caused flooding. Water entered the room and soaked my personal belongings and clothing. Despite notifying hotel staff, the issue was not addressed in a timely manner, and no corrective action was taken until after we had already checked out. As a result, my belongings were damaged, and we were forced to leave early under stressful and inconvenient circumstances. The combination of unresolved maintenance issues, safety concerns, lack of basic amenities, and unprofessional service made this stay unacceptable. Given the circumstances, I am requesting appropriate compensation, specifically a complimentary future stay or full refund, along with acknowledgment of the inconvenience and damage caused.

    When you walk in it looks modern Front desk staff was polite. But I wish I had known of a deposit fee of $100 for incidentals. Walking to the room I felt like it was the Bates motel the hallway looked like a scene in a scary movie. The room smelled like dirty laundry, furniture looked like it came from a thrift store. the trim on the counter in the kitchen was peeling off by three feet so you couldn’t even walk by it without it touching you. There were scratches at the bottom of the wall corners and the carpet was heavily stained in multiple areas. The bathroom door and trim had been scratched and peeling like someone was scratching to their way out. Scary!!! The door wouldn’t close all the way until me and my daughter put all our weight on it. The phone in the room didn’t work so I had to call the hotel directly from my cell phone and their answering service wasn’t helpful or able to just transfer me to the front desk. There was a rattling noise all night coming from the sink drain or pipes. The bed was so hard that it creaked everywhere. The sofa bed my daughter slept on had a mattress that looked like a blanket not even 2 inches. I will not stay there ever again.

    Its under renovation so there was a lot of dust around the property. The smell of chemicals used in construction - paint etc - was very strong. Lighting in the room was very dull. Location is great and parking was easy.

    This property was under renovations which I was mindful of, especially as they had signage at the front desk when checking in. However, there was a layer of dust (presumably from the recarpeting of the halls and no seal under the door to prevent it from blowing in) that layered the entire floor and the top of the dresser. I was there less than 24 hours so I just kind of sucked it up and dealt w/it while I was in town for an event and ... you get what you pay for but I always expect the room to at least be free of dust and dirt when checking in. Also it mentions breakfast is include but it's just a grab and go breakfast which is fine, but also should be clearly indicated.

    We had no idea the hotel was under construction all the third floor where we stayed had no carpet no floor. It was all concrete with dust. Walls were all white and freshly painted. rooms were dirty with dust and a huge opening under the door. room was hot. Restrooms had cockroaches all over the sink and the Shower and tub kitchen had cockroaches in the counter. And sink area. There was splashed dead cockroaches in between the blankets. The beds were not sturdy enough and part of the bed fell off to the floor. I told the person at the front desk that we had to leave early way ahead of check in time due to waking up with a cockroach on my arm, response was we will let management know. I even showed them videos of the cockroaches and of how the floor was dirty with dust and the pictures of the cockroaches that were dead and splashed in between the blankets.

Parking seemed very secure, and the location is pretty good. It's surrounded by other hotels and on a dead-end street. It has a slightly strong incense smell. I would stay there again if I were on a budget and just needed a bed to rest. I'm happy with substandard amenities and furnishings, as long as the place is clean enough.

Floor was not swept, full of hairs . Room smelled like if someone was smoking inside them which i got non smoking rooms. I had to go get my own airfresheners. I went to front desk and asked for a broom. Never once asked me what it was for.

    It was great except when we checked out the worker gave us our accidental deposit back in cash and then called us an 1 hour later asking if we checked out and told us we needed to come back to the hotel because she gave us someone else’s deposit back and that ours would go on her card I told her we were already an hour away heading home and she still insisted we come back I told her again we were an hour out from there she said we will just not put it on ur card then I said ok great and we hung up she then called back 30 mins later telling me that she was taking the deposit of the card so it would not be added back to us since we got it in cash I said again that’s fine thank you and she said I’m getting yelled out by my manager for this.. sorry girl not my mess up other then that it was an ok stay for the night

    every person that worked there was very professional & friendly always accessible to help .we stayed there for a whole week and even till the last minutes they were very accommodating. , Wasn't to crazy about the color of the pool but not that it was not clean but not clear enough.     The room smelles horrible. The counter had old food crumbs on it. The refrigerator smelled like there was something rotten in it. The shower didn't work. The manager said they would fix it the following morning but if we didn't want to wait they would give us a refund but we had to check out ( it was almost midnight and I tried looking for another hotel but it was too late) So we agreed to wait until morning for it to get fixed. When we came back to the room it wasn't fixed and they said "oh there's nothing we can do, maintenance wasn't here today" again we were offered a refund but it was 10 at night and there were no other hotels that had a big enough room available to accommodate my family. We paid about $300 for 2 nights and the room and the whole hotel was not worth it. Oh and we asked for a different room and they said the other rooms they had available had the same shower issue. Don't waste your money and don't stay there especially if you have kids.

They they charged us a late check out fee without mentioning anything about a late check out fee. I’ve called the hotel and they claim they cannot do anything and were once again rude to me.     Price Appliances did not work, water in the kitchen sink was shut off, matrass was very uncomfortable, panel on the wall was removed and was never put back so i enjoyed al the pipes insight the wall. Vending machine was off for 2 days in a row, so there was no chance to buy a bottle of water. Hot water to make a tea or coffee was not an option at the reception every time breakfast was over. Pricewise it is okay, but if you are looking for some comfort - this is not a place.

The door to the room wouldn’t open so had to get the key reprogrammed a couple of times and still didn’t work so she gave me another room. Probably just a low battery in the door. Lobby floor was really dirty. Room was spacious. Maybe could use upgraded some. Room was expensive because of the final four I imagine. It was $238 for two queen beds. Definitely not worth that much. Maybe half that much in my opinion.

    The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was roomy. I did not realize that there would be no dishes or cookware. I was just happy to find a room on Final Four weekend. The bathroom shower curtain was inadequate at blocking all the water from spilling out onto the floor. The room is best at accommodating someone in a wheelchair. The shower has a wand rather than a shower head fixed to the wall. The facility does not provide wake up calls, but that is a service I typically research and depend on for weekend trips. When I explained my problem with that to the woman at the desk, she accommodated me with a solution, and I told her before I left that I appreciated her solution for my problem.

The drawer had dead insects in it as if it’s never wiped down. It took hours for them to change our room. I came from out of state with kids, drove 8 hours that day and didn’t have much of an option but to stay. I would preferred to have been refunded and moved to another location. I will never return. The only positive thing I can say is the staff handled this very well, considering the lobby was full of upset clients, they were kind and professional. They did their best and kept on the situation. If the staff can update their cleaning routines, shift supervision and proper maintenance, there is potential here.

    We had lost our home to a fire and I had also suffered a pretty bad leg injury when we booked to stay here.I liked that they had a full kitchen so I could still cook for my husband and two sons.A couple days in we were awaked by banging,it was housekeeping,from that day on we were woken up by banging everyday,the whole staff was incredibly rude to my whole family making a large portion of our stay somewhat uncomfortable and even more frustrating then our life already was! Not to mention people constantly stomping,banging and yelling either above us,or in Hall,outside a lot too! I already have issues with anxiety and my husband who works from home was completely disjointed and lost out on a couple jobs due to his not being able to focus or have a little peace and quiet!When we checked out over a month later we were harrased and talked down to about how long it took to pack up and with only two carts in the building it made it hard to do! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

    The Staff was amazing, helpful, and friendly. They are the reason why I'm not given lower stars. I prefer getting a kitchenette when I travel, I prefer cooking and saving my money this had a kitchenette without a full set up dishes, pots, pans, silverware. You have to request a kitchen set up. The kitchen faucet was hard to turn off the hot & cold handels were stripped so it was hard to turn the water off. The room also did not come with a coffee maker, which is important to me when I travel. But they have a coffee maker in the lobby. The room was sort of clean, but it looked like a run down apartment with old dingy furniture. The flat screen was small and still bluky. But I cant express enough how great the staff was, from the moment I walked in they were friendly helpful and pleasent. However, I wouldn't recommend staying, maybe if the owner made sure every kitchenette had a full set up, with toaster, a microwave that doesn't make a noise like its from 1991. Updated the furniture or add more lamps and decorations it would feel more inviting. I just feel like the place could feel more clean and inviting with a few updates, better lighting, and a full kitchen set up

    Looking for new apartment and stayed here for several weeks. The staff at the desk are very customer service focused. Best customer service in a hotel I have had ever. The building, room and amenities are nothing like described. Very run down, no real gym just a bike and an elliptical, there is no real breakfast just coffee and oatmeal soft bar or other instant breakfast food set up on a little table in the corner. There is no usable wifi even when purchasing the upgraded plan. Housekeeping never came to clean room the 7 weeks I was there. Stove knob’s didn’t have numbers so it was very difficult to cook anything and impossible to bake. Too expensive of a place for how rundown. I only stayed cause of how great Ms. Payne and the rest of staff were.

    The room was cozy and the area was very quiet considering it’s almost next to the highway, good food choices nearby and parking was easy. Only complaint was that a couple of things in the room were either non functioning or pest. Saw just a little roach dead in the bathroom as we checked in and the switch to use the shower head instead of bottom running was broken so I couldn’t use the shower head.

    Was looking under the bed cuz my daughter dropped her AirPod and there was trash all underneath the bed. Used tissues, aluminum foil, you could tell they don’t deep clean the rooms, the water pressure in the kitchen was horrible. When we told them we didn’t like the conditions of the room and wanted to leave they said they couldn’t give us but $100 back from our stay. Just bad all the way around.

    It was late at night when we arrived so we expected it to be dark, but it was so dark outside that it was genuinely creepy. Like I mean horror movie creepy!!! There is hardly any lighting in the parking lot. I would def recommend arriving in the day time or bringing a flashlight to find the front door. We considered losing our $144 for the room to stay somewhere else… and we’re broke, so that’s saying something. The front office smelled like someone had been smoking a fatttt blunt. Had it been just my husband and I, we may have tried to join those responsible, however, it’s not a front office I would ever like to have my three young children in again. The hallways after checking in were back straight back to horror movie vibes. Only thing missing were a few straight jackets. Room was huge! Super fun for the kids. However, their feet turned pitch black within 10 minutes of taking off their shoes, so cleanliness definitely came into question. My back will probably be hurting for the next 2 weeks after sleeping on that bed. “Breakfast” consisted of coffee and Otis spunkmeyer muffins… lucky for us we love Otis spunkmeyer!! But the “free breakfast” ad was definitely another disappointment. This hotel and Holiday Inn have comparable prices- I won’t be making this mistake again. Definitely felt like a complete waste of money.

    At first the room looked presentable, but after a quick wipe down in the bathroom it was not very clean especially the toilet. Then the next day when I went to take a shower the temperature was boiling hot. The front desk sent someone to check it out and gave us another room above us. Again I did a quick wipe down and it was not very clean the bathroom. And lastly we didn't feel very safe because the door had a switch lock and a top lock but if you turned the door knob it would unlock and the top lock would pop open as well.

    I have a broken leg and parked close to my room. That access door lock lockinng system did not work. I went to the pool and tried toaccess the building from there and the key card did not work. The system is broken. My key worked in my door to my room, but nowhere else. I had to walk a LOT more due to poor access from locked exterior doors. My bathtub faucet dripped the whole time and the bathroom smelled sour due to constant water in the tub. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked great.

    Late night clerk at front desk accused me trying to use a fraudulent card because I use contactless payments. Hotel advertises contactless payment as an option and card readers are set up to use contactless payments. He insisted that he wanted to be able to “hold the card in my hand so I know it’s real.” When I said using contactless payment was a viable option he told me that he just cancelled my reservation. It was close to midnight. Finding a place to sleep wasn’t easy.

    The room was nicer than i thought walking through the hallway. Bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. Why i wont give 5 stars is wifi isn't good quality unless you pay for it. I dont want to pay more for something that usually is complimentary with other places. I would stay again if needed.

    The place is outdated missing and broken furniture, more of an eyesore. However we found it clean which is what we care more about vs looks. Also we enjoyed how spacious the room was, including kitchen area. However, the service desk closes at 11 so our first night we went without a few items like towels, pillows and blankets for our family of 6, as we check in late. Our second night we came back to our restroom floor covered in water that dripped from the 3rd floor. But the most inconvenience/uncomfortable experience was as a smoke free area, we had to cover the bottom of the door with a towel to keep the smell of another guest smoking from entering our room. My children were complaining of headaches from the smell. It was extremely strong in the elevator and hallway. If it wasn’t past midnight and traveling with two under 5 would we have left. It’s sad that the choices of another guest would keep us from returning.

    Im not sure how to word this....its clear the chain tried to update and make nice, but all in all, when it comes down to it, you get what you pay for......a dresser drawer front was missing, stains in the cabinets and drawers and plastic wrap around the smoke detector. While i think its wonderful the property allows animals, i didnt appreciate shutting the bathroom door andvfinding cat feces on the floor! You may ask if i reported it a d dema ded another room....honestly, no, not until checkout did i inform mgmt. We arrived after midnight from a long flight, and got right up the following AM to start our day and gone until late that night. So we didnt spend time in the room. Again i know this will sound strange, but it was clean in surface ways a d other than the missing drawer front, the rest was found intermittently. everybother way.

    The amount of disgusting things we saw in the hotel room was a lot. From finding food crumbs, Hair, and bugs. The last straw we had was we saw three different roaches in one of the beds. The bed was stained in several areas. It was a total mess. There was even pee in the back of one of the toilets. When I went to complain, I was givn another room. That room was a disaster. Also, things were broken and missing. We had food with us and we’re scared to eat it due to the bug infestation. We called several other hotels to see if they had any availabilities and they did not so we had no other option to stay there. We were not able to take pictures of all the roaches because they ran off but in the pictures you can see there was clearly to roaches I was able to get.

    The room was large and very clean. It had laminate floors, a sofa bed, 2 queen beds and a full kitchen with full sized refrigerator and small 4 burner stove with oven. We brought all of our kitchen supplies as there is nothing here in room to use, but I see when I got here there is kitchen utensils that you can check out from front desk to use. We cooked a full meal here and avoided having to go out to dinner. The hotel is about 10 minutes from fiesta Texas and near alot of stores and is right off I-10 for easy access.it also has a small pool and grab and go breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and the place was very quiet and safe. We will definitely stay again.

    Property appeared to be clean. Room was spacious but limited on sheets, pillows and blankets for fold out couch. Nothing in the kitchen to use for preparing meals and not enough bath towels and personal products that are normally provided. We stayed 4 days with 6 in our party. It was a planned trip with our 4 Great Grandchildren.

    When we 1st checked in everything seemed ok until we got in our room. When I went to the bathroom I seen a roach. Next morning we got up to shower and realized there was only one wash cloth. My husbabd went down stairs to get more and he was told he had to turn in the used ones. When he came back and told me I called the front desk. The guy said my husband asked for towels and wash clothes and their order didnt come in so they didnt have any. I asked he was supposed to share one wash cloth. He asked me how many did we need, I told him 3. He said turn in the old ones, once again I reminded him there was only 1 to start off with. He said ok, come get the 3. We left for the day and When we came back my husband and kidsc went to the pool. When they came back they turned the heat on to get warm from the pool. When they turned it a swarm of roaches ran out of it, this freaked my kids out. I got up to used the bathroom around 1am and found a roach in bed. Needless to say I could not go back to sleep trying to make sure nothing crawled on my children. 8am i started shaking all our items our to pack up and leave. We will not be back, spent to much money to share a room with roaches.
