- Many amenities were closed or unavailable due to construction or COVID-19 restrictions

100% would recommend this place. It’s beautiful and their food is so fresh. Staff is awesome they always take the time to check in on you.

Helpful staff
- 5/5
Great location. Entire hotel was clean and orderly. Staff all went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay here. It was close to a lot of places so I was able to just walk everywhere instead of getting Uber. I do wished my room had a bathroom fan and microwave or fridge so I wasn’t able to save any of my leftovers when I ate out. Other than those issues, I would still book here again.
- 3/5
It was a great hotel. Very clean and centrally located. The issue I ran into was that my AC in my room wasn’t working even after calling and having the maintenance engineer come to “fix it”. I really wish this wasn’t the case as it was a great hotel, but unfortunately with the AC issue, I wasn’t able to sleep during my stay.
- 5/5
Excellent staff and hotel.
- 4/5
Clean room and amenities. As an Intercontinental is supposed to be. The location is convenient but it is not in the most commercial/crowded part of the river walk. That can be good if you want more calm vs the Hyatt or the Westin. Parking location in the next block for US$30/night + taxes
- 5/5
Everything is as I envision it to be.
- 5/5
There’s no free parking. $120 for parking for only two nights, is pretty expensive.
- 2/5
The bar was ok but they laid about the bar in the pool area was close all my stay there
- 5/5
Second stay here. 5 stars
- 5/5
Amazing staff, very friendly and great hotel and location.

- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and excellent rooms! Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Great stay, first time at this property
- 5/5
Had a wonderful time at Intercontinental hotel. Rooftop bar and pool was a fun! Rooms are very nicely decorated and downtown view was beautiful. Juan at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. We had a wonderful time.
- 4.5/5
Nice facility Parking was too expensive!!!
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Definitely will be visiting again in the future.
- 5/5
The room was spotless, very clean, and truly felt luxurious. You can tell they pay attention to the details, which made the stay even better. We also loved the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was just as good. The manager was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect during our visit. This will definitely be my go-to hotel every time I come back to San Antonio. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Everything! Friendly staff! Nothing, everything was awesome!
- 5/5
Great property however the pool rarely gets sun in March and they don’t have service to the pool, you have to order inside

Someone made a noise Complaint when I wasnt really being that loud at all kinds of messed the vibe other than I would definitely recommend and I will be back!
- 1/5
Nice hotel but not great location on the Riverwalk. Valet parking was a ridiculous price of $65 per night and the none valet parking option was in a very sketchy garage. Room was nice and clean, restaurant was good for breakfast. Was not a good choice for going to a concert at the Majestic Theater, walking late at night back to hotel was not safe.
- 5/5

The pool was pretty and the restaurant and staff at the restaurant was amazing . Food was great both times we went Trash wasn’t emptied in my room bathroom when we arrived. Staff lied to me to get me to become a member
- 0.5/5
It was clean The room was hot, said it was a 10-15 walk to food and mall and it was MUCH longer, said breakfast was served until 10:30 and when we arrived at 10:15 they turned us away bc of a large party for lunch, valet didn’t help us with our bags and luggage, when checking out they over charged me by 300.00 and I had to call them out on it. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was the manager. Not once when checking out did she speak to me and ask how my stay was. I brought this to her attention and she still didn’t ask or listen to my concerns. Very disappointed, not worth the money spent, and will not stay again or recommend to others.

- 5/5
Nice hotel, location and amenities
- 5/5
Everything was Nice
- 5/5
The was clean, staff very helpful and over all amenities.
- 5/5
Brand new, beautifully decorated. However 'free breakfast' and compulsory 'amenity fee' utilization requires taxes and gratuities
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room. Very friendly helpful staff and nice bar
- 5/5
Clean room and nice people.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay at
- 4/5
Location near the River Walk
- 4/5
Great bar and restaurant. Small/med side king room but all refurbished and plush bedding and pillows. Very clean. Easy direct access to River Walk.
- 2/5
The check in was lacking in communication and professionalism. We had to get a manager involved even though we had a confirmation number. We extended the stay for Sunday night through Hotels.com and the Office said there was nothing on file. They charged our guest $$$ for one night. They even tried to charge for 2 nights. We will be disputing this charge. This was the worst experience to date. The front desk was inexperienced and unprepared.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean.
- 3/5
There was trash left on drawers
- 5/5
GrI at experience. Staff was very helpful and room was very clean
- 5/5
Comfortable room. Easy to walk to the Alamo and the Riverwalk.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect we did have a little inconvenience with the fridge but it's okay. We had a wonderful stay very convenient to walking everywhere and very close to the river walk.
- 5/5
Best ever
- 5/5
My stay here was perfect! I stayed with family and my dog. The highlights were the professional, friendly staff, clean modern rooms, and the location was perfect!
- 5/5
Courteous front desk staff. Extremely clean room, hallways, lobby - entire building. Lovely breakfast.
- 4/5
Room spotless staff strictly average. Poor reception service overcrowded.Valet parking under pressure due to event
- 5/5
Love this hotel !
- 5/5
The room was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend others to stay here as well. The valet service was hassle-free and worth the additional cost.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Wall unit was blowing cool air, even with thermostat turned up. Staff were very nice and accommodating.
- 5/5
Beautiful property nice and clean and excellent beyond my expectation will definitely recommend
- 5/5
The room and the overall property was well maintained and very clean. Staff was very professional and extremely courteous. I like this area because it was very quiet.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 5/5
Not really close to river walk main area
- 4/5
Staff was great, cordial and servant leaders. Willing to do anything to make you stay great. I believe you should have on property parking instead of valet. If you want to park yourself, it's off-site.
- 2/5
The front reception was rude
- 5/5
Wonderful service, food, and spacious room.
- 3/5
Bar selection was fine. Did not attempt any of the onsite restaurants.
- 5/5
Yes breakfast was fresh, environment welcoming, elevators fast, staff very accommodating.
- 4/5
Staff was wonderful and the Sunday Jazz brunch was great! Only thing we didn’t like was the location on the river walk. It’s not close to any of the restaurants or shops
- 2/5
Room was ok, although price was too high for what they offered. Staff was rude. We had to wait almost 2 hours for the room, although they "guarantee" room would be ready at 4pm. The fast that they were sold out is not an excuse. If they have personnel issues, is not my problem, they should be prepared. Then they charged extra almost $50 for "Amenity Fee" although it was paid in full. Breakfast is not completely free. They limit to an amount ($30), anything over the limit, you have to pay for it. I won't come back to this hotel. And Booking.com should compensate us. This is a scam.
- 2/5
When we checked in, they accidentally charged me $900 instead of deposit of $150 because they double charged me for the room that I had already paid. I had to have them fix it, but my bank still showed it as pending so I couldn’t touch that money. We paid for a River view and yes, we could see the river, but it wasn’t pretty where we were so would definitely bypass on that part. There was a rock band outside the hotel that it felt like we were in, that lasted us until midnight. Our toilet kept running and our TV wouldn’t turn on so we decided to switch rooms. Got a $100 credit towards the restaurant for the inconvenience. When we went to check out, they had no record of the hundred dollars. They did end up giving it to me. We had breakfast before checking out and my omelette had the wrong ingredients and was cold. Everyone else seemed to like their food. At the end they charged for my order and then I got charged for fresh fruit and berries or something like an additional $30 so I had to have them take that off. Kind of a mess TBH.
- 5/5
We came in for the Paul McCartney concert. I have stayed there before, and guest services are fantastic!
- 1/5
Terrible, extremely late and delayed check-in managed poorly by the staff with no proactive communication and essentially quite rude. Parking directions lacking and expensive. Didn't bother with breakfast as too expensive and crowded.
- 5/5
Highly recommend staying at this hotel.
- 5/5
Staff is welcoming and check in on you throughout your stay to ensure you are enjoying stay or help with anything you need. Nice vibe at Bar and live jazz music on Friday night. Just great hotel to stay and come back to
- 5/5
The concierge, Danny, was very accommodating and helpful. He actually dropped us at a nearby restaurant we requested to assist us in saving time on our one day visit. Sylvia checked us out and provided a quick and smooth exit. We self parked on Solidad street and it was only a one minute walk to a secure parking garage. All of the staff was excellent and friendly. The Intercontinental IHG was only a few blocks north of the Riverwalk and very accessible. We are very pleased with the location of the hotel in relation to the RIverwalk. I highly recommend the IHG Hotel (5 star) for comfort and very helpful and friendly staff. We will be back and thank you for a great stay.
- 4/5
It was just ok, I wish o knew I would be spending more money than expected if I booked my tripod though a third party. This was not on the website , then once I was charged at the hotel I was charged double the price. It was a mistake but it was a expensive mistake, that I have to wait and get fixed
- 5/5
I was overcharged by almost $300! I never received a folio. Once I noticed the overcharge I had to request one. I would just make sure other guest pay attention as much as I did! Luckily I was able to speak with staff and was refunded.
- 5/5
Staff is very nice. Rooms are very clean.
- 5/5
Costs of parking
- 5/5
Hotel iteself was very nice, staff were very friendly and helpful but several homeless people around the area of the hotel. A block away saw someone defecating on the side of the street.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel! Don’t plan on ever staring anywhere else when I visit San Antonio!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel
- 5/5
We have been looking for a place that we love for awhile now. Our kiddo is at Trinity so we visit often. We finally found it. Great staff, very kind and accommodating. The room is gorgeous. We like to have a suite. The room is well decorated, comfy couch and nice bar area. Great bed and bedding. Very quiet. Restaurant was great we went both nights. We will def be back. Loved it.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Hidden fees will pretty much have you paying for another nights stay at this hotel.
- 5/5
10/10 would highly recommend
- 5/5
Great room. Specious, newly renovated and had everything you need. Great size bathroom and comfortable bed! Great stay.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
The only thing I didn’t like was that early check-in was not available. However, after realizing that we were also there the same time as the bug UFC fights, I understood. Overall though, I have no complaints about this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The amenities, like the pool, gym, and bars were great. The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was a but small (for 3 of us to share) but it was clean and very cute. Bathroom was also very nice. We also had a great overview of the city and it was close to everything! I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
I liked the location
- 5/5
Good Hotel
- 5/5
The room was nicely updated and beautifully
- 5/5
Good stay
- 5/5
Everything was beautiful
- 5/5
Everything is always top tier.
- 5/5
Amazing!!
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
There is valet parking for $60 a night or you can cross the street and park for $30 a night. (Fine just something to consider when planning!) there seems to be a lot of homeless near by, within a block. But it’s very walkable to down town.
- 4/5
The room was nice and clean and the staff was VERY polite. My wife and I would definitely stay with Intercontinental San Antonio IHG again
- 5/5
Convenient to the Riverwalk which provides a plethora of shopping and dining options. Clean hotel with a great onsite restaurant. Regina & Liz were awesome waiters during my visit
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
We truly enjoy this hotel, everyone we encountered is friendly and so willing to help
- 5/5
Beds were super comfortable. Room was clean.
- 4/5
Property was nice, the area around it was a bit sketchy.
- 5/5
We love to stay at the Intercontinental for our business trips. The property is beautiful and nicely decorated. We will stay here again on our next trip.
- 5/5
The cleanliness and the staff were great. Felt very relaxing and the food was amazing. We will definitely be staying there again. We had the river view, wasn’t much of a view due to trees not trimmed and very little we could see was trashy.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Close to the river walk. Really nice rooftop bar and pool
- 1.5/5
Parking $60 a night. Shower had black stains in the bottom of it. Toilet handle was broken and hanging out of the toilet. Room wouldn’t cool off at night. Very overpriced for the experience.
- 4/5
The only thing we didn't like was, the prices in the restaurant. I felt it was two pricey. The other restaurants near the property had better prices for the same items. For instance the steaks at caviar started at 68$ at nearby restaurant's they were started at 48$.
- 3/5
It is down town, felt not safe
- 5/5
The complete hotel is so nice, clean, modern, save, and very convenient for walks to the riverwalk.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. Bed was comfy
- 4/5
We will most likely stay here again the future though since it was very clean, comfortable, safe, and the staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
Nice place too stay
- 5/5
Love this hotel. Beautiful and clean.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was too notch.. the room was very clean
- 5/5
I would definitely stay here again
- 4/5
I expected more from this hotel, but it was mid at best. Extremely disappointed when we found hair on the towel. There were no hand or face towels in the room. Also there was a pool of water in the mini bar that was actively leaking onto the floor. They did bring me a mini fridge per my request. There were no bell carts to take our things to the room. We had to convince the staff to get the carts to help us pack our things up. Front desk assigned a room on the 19th floor even though I submitted a request to have a lower level room. I don't think the hotel reads the requests submitted through Expedia. I was advised there's no 24 hour room service as advertised. Restaurants are closed for dinner. The people are nice enough but it doesn't give luxury. When I mentioned the issues we were having noone really exhibited any customer service skills except one lady in guest services, who allowed us to move out of the leaky room and remain on a lower level floor. Valet is $60/night and they send a link to tip whenever you park. Things started to improve after the first 2 days, but no comp or apologetic response for the inconveniences. We stayed 4 nights
- 4.5/5
Leak from mini-fridge that soaked the carpeting in the room, limited lighting in the roim
- 4/5
Pool closed at 10pm even on the weekends.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
This is an amazing hotel. The ambiance, rooms, staff were unbelievable. My husband needs a wheelchair at times, and one was available for his use during our stay. The valet parking attendants were friendly and had our car ready when needed. I would recommend this hotel to all.
- 5/5
The lobby is very clean and smells good.
- 5/5
Beautiful!
- 4/5
For a hotel that was rated exceptional it was nice. However, i highly suggest you request a river view room. The street noise was so loud i couldn't sleep andnof couslrse the slamming of doors...why can't hotels come up with a fix for the slamming doors? Not really on the popular part of the ruver walk but close enough to walk if you are familiar with the area and gps did just fine too.
- 2/5
Front desk manager had an attitude about our pet which we were not aware you have to crate but she was unkind about it, we checked in with a nice person but handicap room door was too heavy for us to open along with when showering the water would leak to the front room.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and friendly staff!
- 5/5
The style
- 5/5
Comfortable beds, clean rooms. Great services. Everything well stocked!
- 5/5
It was a beautiful hotel and would love to stay again.
- 5/5
I had such a wonderful experience at this place. The warmth of everyone made my stay truly special. The customer service was exceptional, and I was especially touched by the thoughtful care they showed my fiancé for his birthday. They surprised him with a lovely courtesy gift, which made the day even more memorable. Thank you so much, Intercontinental, for going above and beyond! 😊❤️ THANK YOU DANNY Hooper (Conciege)
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 3/5
Although the hotel was very nice overall, I didn’t appreciate the hidden fees. The “resort” fees and excessive parking fees added an additional $100 to the bill.
- 5/5
It’s always a great stay at an Intercontinental. San Antonio’s location definitely didn’t disappoint!
- 5/5
Comfortable. Clean, Friendly. I prefer my room very cold, so I always pack a small fan. Will stay there again.
- 5/5
very new and. clean, modern
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel. Parking was a little pricey at about $60 a day.
- 5/5
New property. Excellent service. Valet was expensive but very prompt. Overall I would highly recommend.
- 2/5
The beds are comfortable. The hotel allows dogs and they barked the entire night next door along with next door having a party coming and going all night door slamming. The shower was dirty with yellow stains. The “view” wasn’t good. The location is not on the riverwalk. The parking is horrible unless you utilize valet. I paid for the self parking and no available customer service to dispute the time paid but not used. Room service took 1 hr.
- 5/5
All of the staff were beyond nice and the property was so clean!
- 5/5
Brand new hotel and beautiful
- 5/5
Very modern, impeccably clean, professional staff.
- 5/5
Newly renovated property with good design. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are good. Only problem we had was the air conditioning had a hard time keeping up with the texas summer heat. Would recommend.
- 4/5
Staff very friendly hotel beautiful great amenities. Enjoyed pool and bar. Very comfortable stay.
- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
I love the place
- 5/5
The pool was great during the week, a little crowded on the weekend. Fantastic food and service in the restaurant. We will return.
- 4/5
Great staff. Fun roof top pool.
- 5/5
Wonderful place!!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Very friendly staff. Food was very good
- 5/5
In house convenience store would be great.
- 5/5
This hotel was great for a last-minute booking for the family before the San Antonio zoo!
- 3/5
I reserved a premium room with a river view, but I was given city view room. When I asked them about it, the hotel staff said Expedia needs to update their website for availability of rooms, which seems to be a strange response. I hope this doesn’t happen again for any bookings in the future.
- 5/5
This property was amazing! Very clean and great vibes. My family and I ended up extending our stay. We will definitely be back.
- 3/5
I noticed that my bathroom door didn't stay shut during my stay, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, I realized that my bags weren't brought to my room, which added to the challenges I faced. It made me reflect on my previous experience at the Intercontinental hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana, where everything was more seamless. I hope these aspects can be improved for future guests.
- 4/5
We arrived to the hotel at 5:15, and check-in was supposed to be 4pm. As we walked in, there were people sitting around and we could sense something was wrong. The staff let us know we were 18 in line due to a laundry issue. He told us we would have to wait but gave us a drink voucher for the bar. As we went to sit down, another couple said they’d been there for 2 hours. We waited around for an hour then decided to go walk around the riverwalk and give them our bags. About 30 minutes after that, we got a text that the room was ready. We discussed the issue with Expedia and the agent was able to get our parking compensated. The staff was very kind throughout our stay. We got 75$ in credits with our stay which we used at breakfast, which was very good. Upon checkout we learned that a pipe had bust and they weren’t able to do laundry. Although it was frustrating, the ambiance and the staff really made up for it. Valet, front desk, bar, and restaurant staff were all very welcoming and kind.
- 5/5
The staff was helpful and friendly. The room as chic and felt very upscale. Bedding and linens were clean. Room had the necessary items such as robes, slippers, iron and ironing board readily available.
- 1/5
The receptionist was not welcoming and my room was missing the vanity light,
- 5/5
Excellent service! Beautiful hotel!
- 5/5
This was one of the most pleasant stay I have had anywhere in the 🌎 world. Thanks 🙏
- 5/5
Liked that the restaurant was within the hotel in case I didn’t go out to eat. They have brunch on Saturday and Sundays. There is a water taxi behind the hotel.
- 5/5
I paid for a river walk view for extra money and I only get a city view. Below are some pictures taking from my room.
- 5/5
The stay was perfect, the staff and valet parking were so friendly and made this stay very smooth. This was a family trip and we had a great time!

THE STAFF EXCELENT, THE ROOMS,
- 5/5
Loved everything about it
- 5/5
Great staff , great location , awesome amenities
- 5/5
We were welcomed and wee taken care of during our entire stay!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and the room was clean!
- 4/5
Bathroom was not clean, tub was dirty, sheets had hair under it and room was mask with air freshener that bothered me for the entire time we were there. Valet was expensive for a hotel that’s surrounded in not the best area if downtown. Room service closes early which was the last straw. Weekend and it closes before 11pm
- 1/5
Regret choosing this as the place to do a staycation. The pool area was disorganized, have to go into High Praise to order because never got service outside. The service at High Praise was horrible and they knew nothing about the alcohol. There was 4 people taking orders and no one took our order till 15 min later. The server knew nothing about the credits we had and the alcohol recommendations. Great kid, but seemed like he was new and knew nothing about being behind the bar. Was never told we needed reservations for the restaurant, the wait was 45 min, but was told we can order to the room but would be 30 minutes till food arrived. We waited for over an hour to get the food and nothing. All in all very disorganized placed, staff members knew nothing about the hotel and its offerings, and bad communication overall. I will give credit to Deco bar guys they were amazing and rose belly cafe!! The person who checked us into the hotel was great as well! Will I ever stay here again no, its unfortunate because the facilities are nice looking and room was cozy, but service was terrible and not willing to go through that again. Will continue to be on the look out for a good staycation hotel and where to point outside visitors too.
- 4/5
Property was beautiful, my only complaint was they said we had a $20 daily credit for laundry, we tried andrhey took our dirty clothes and never washed them, had to get dirty clothes back after waiting 3 days, so the $60 credit was a scam as far as I am concerned.
- 5/5
Very friendly clean
- 3/5
Had to get a box fan sent to my room because AC was working but not as it should said tech. Shower water pressure was low
- 4/5
The room was great. A little warm at night. The pool was not impressive. There was towels, empty beer buckets, and empty glasses. The bar at the pool was not attentive.
- 4/5
If you’re planning on walking around its slightly away from the normal
- 5/5
The intercontinental is such a nice hotel! Friendly staff, beautiful property, we love staying here!
